Normally I love it here. I went with my mom and she had the Florida Plate which was an enormous plate of the cheapest fruit imaginable. Lots of canned pineapple, red grapes and two pieces of cantaloupe! No good fruit such as strawberries or blueberries because they cost more for the restaurant. I felt as if she had been served the compost fruit from a jar. The fruit wasn't the major issue. I like Goldie's but when mom said something about her meal to a "manager" she was met with attitude. We're taking a break from Goldie's for the time being. read more

They also make a fresh strawberry topping, both phenomenal. Need I go further? When a local ambulance and fire truck pulled up to Goldie's with about 12 hungry guys and gals, we knew this was the place to be. A good 5 miles Northwest of downtown Naples, I love the location, tucked away on a side street just north of Pine Ridge. I sampled almost everything by gorging on the ultimate breakfast...4 eggs, home fries, 3 French toast, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links and 2 giant biscuits smothered with sausage gravy. Yep, Goldie's is that little hole-in-the-wall eatery that every town has. The one that is privately owned and tiny, but serves fantastic food cheap and quickly. I've never had a bad meal here, and I've been eating here for MANY years. Your biggest problem will be that other diners may bump elbows with you while you're all crammed in there for lunch. :) Try the daily specials! Come hungry, the portions are generous. Ordered a huge breakfast platter, and boy was it filling: 3 pancakes, 2 sausage patties, bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. I'm so full I can barely write. Went for breakfast today. It was AMAZING! The strawberry jelly is wonderful-wish I could buy it:) Prices are so reasonable and the food is great. I had the Goldie's Breakfast Combo. Pancakes were perfect, and the strawberry jam made them that much better. Sausage links are the fat kind-which usually are not my favorite but they were super good and my kids liked them too. Eggs were cooked perfect. Orange juice is fresh squeezed and also great! The waitress was super nice and the service was quick! I was looking for a breakfast place and stumbled up on this little gem. I thought I would give it a try because it reminded me of a patient I once took care of and well her name was Goldie too. Anyway this place was really good, everything on the menu was reasonably priced. When we arrived the place wasn't to packed. We were instructed to seat ourselves and our server was prompt to take care of us. I ordered French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and Orange juice. My friend had the breakfast of champions which was awesome !!! I will definitely come back here to eat. They have this tasty jam and peanut butter to put on your pancakes and French toast sooo good! It's just great. Food is always tasty and hot. Coffee is always tasty and hot. The girls are.... well, they're awesome too. They work as a team to make all customers happy. The space is small but comfortable. It gets a little loud but not too bad. There is usually an open table outside , and the tables are shaded in the morning by the restaurant. I highly recommend Goldie's steak and eggs and their omelets. If you like French toast/pancakes, the signature syrups are excellent as well. read more

Their salads are so good- I love when they have special ones like the Italian or the one I think they call Southern that has the candied nuts. Got there on Saturday during a slack period. Lucky for us because as we ate the place packed in. It's no secret that the locals know where to go. We got quick service, and all servers seemed to pitch in. The coffee was good and the breakfast was tasty and filling. I got a special which was a play on benedict and biscuits and gravy. Touche! If I lived anywhere near there I would be a regular. Also see that they put on a good looking lunch menu. Doubt I'll ever see that, but next trip to Naples will likely include a trip to Goldies.
