    Workout equipment
    Tyler T.

It's a shame to rate this gym so low, because I really do like the staff. But it has allowed far too many members for the capacity/amount of equipment available. If you come here during normal weekdays after work, you will struggle to complete a routine using any of the machines or benches you need. This is smack dab between Brandermill and Woodlake, so I understand. But it truly, truly needs to expand or stop allowing so many people to sign up. It is just too packed for the small space.

As you can see new equipment seat doesn't even work. Doesn't go up or down.

This staff is okay. The equipment is terrible everything is always broken. It takes them months to get it fixed. They just got new equipment and it's already Broken as well I don't recommend coming to this gym location very poor quality. The spray bottle don't even work. Plus no one at this gym puts the weights back. (RERACK) Very unorganized. If you have OCD do not coming. I don't recommend signing up here again.

proof that I never redeemed the pass

Today I had a horrible experience at this gold gyms (swift creek). My family has been members of golds for the past 5 years. I moved out of state for college recently and just came home for 2 weeks to visit my family. My aunt has been wanting to get serious about her health so I wanted to attend the gym with her for support. I signed up for a 7 day free pass. When I got to the gym and told her I had the pass the assistant manager Valencia started pushing for a sale. I explain to her that I won't be here long just wanted to come and support my family while I'm here. She then says they have a promotion for 1 month for 1 dollar and I can cancel anytime. I explained again that I no longer live in the area and it would be no point in creating a membership. She then said okay and reluctantly asked me for my phone number to search my free pass. She then tells me that the pass has expired. I show her the proof that I never redeemed it. She says I did because it's expired, implying that I was lying. She also stated that she wouldn't honor the pass because I don't live in town and I'm not "interested in becoming a member." I don't understand what the point of a trial is if you are REQUIRED to purchase something you may not even enjoy. We asked if that was in the company policy or if there was any literature that validated what she was saying. Because I was never given that clause in the conditions they sent with the free pass. We then proceed to go back and forth about this for a few moments till she gets visibly fed up and tells the woman next to her "just let them go." As if we weren't standing there speaking with her in the same moment. She tells me to sign in on the tablet. And then she starts stating snarky remarks saying "I don't need to lie, I'm not trying to be the bad guy but I don't care if I am the bad guy." The statements she made after we were done discussing it was unnecessary and unprofessional. This is my family's local gym and they love going here. But after this experience we all know it's best to just cancel instead of being reminded that the staff here is disrespectful and has no respect for their members or potential members. We also asked the women up front for the information to corporate and she said she didn't know it. All associates should know the number to corporate or have a card. Extremely disappointed, 0/10

It's a good gym that needs a bit more TLC. There is a bench that has wheels that squeals at high decibels that can be heard through tour the gym that'll make your ears bleed...and has been like that for at least a year now. WD40, literally all it takes. 85 or 80 lbs (can't remember which) dumbbell is slightly loose, one side is held together with what looks like electrical tape? Unfortunately no one can do anything about this, just a gripe. Very difficult to workout during prime time, high school kids end up taking either the one and only squat rack or deadlifting station for hours! And they spread out to the point entire sections are just off limits because there's like 8 of them. Good on them for working out but Jesus they need to figure out gym etiquette, at least rack the weights. You see the cleaning staff but I'm not entirely sure what they're cleaning. You can see in the photos the grossness around the weights and machines have not been touched in months, possibly longer. Overall, it's an ok gym but the lack of attention to broken equipment and filth is disconcerting. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect hospital sterilization and cleanliness but this shows lack of engagement by management. Get it together guys.

I love this gym! It's very convenient to me, the staff is efficient, it is always spectacularly clean, and it is a great place to get in a workout while avoiding heat and humidity. I love the Cardio Cinema feature, and so far their choice in movies has been great. Something to remember: This is a Gold's Gym Express location, and that means there isn't childcare or a swimming pool (although the manager told me that if things go well they may expand) so this may not be what parents or swimmers are looking for. However the prices reflect the smaller size and that is why memberships are very reasonable. Right now basic membership is only $9.99/month and the upgraded membership with some NICE benefits (free guest, travel pass, free tanning, half-off drinks etc.) is only $19.99/month.

Located on the second floor of a stand alone building, the first thing I noticed when I walked in is how bright, clean and welcoming the studio is. There is an adorable boutique in the entry area where you check in. The boutique carries a thoughtful selection of yoga-centric items including yoga props (belts and blocks) essential oils, books and hand made jewelry. There's plenty of space to store your bags, coats, shoes and such before entering the studio. Once inside you immediately feel the light pouring in through the windows. The paint colors are calming and inviting. The room feels spacious but not overly large. Yoga props are plentiful and include great quality blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters and even sand bags. Spiritual Flow Yoga Studio offers a variety of class types including vinyasa flow, beginner, gentle, philosophy, meditation, restorative, pre natal and mama and baby. The studio is growing and additional classes are being added as needed. Private instruction is also available! I left the studio feeling great! The instructors are welcoming, knowledgeable and passionate about sharing yoga with the community. I will definitely be back to enjoy more classes!

My girlfriend, who is a regular yoga practitioner, and friends of mine have encouraged me to take yoga to increase my flexibility and maintain my level of fitness. My girlfriend encouraged for me to take a Beginner's Yoga Class at Spiritual Flow Yoga Studio, where she takes classes. We signed up for the Beginner's Yoga Class on Thursday evening, instructed by Celine. When class began, right away, I noticed something I hadn't expected-- a release of stress from a long day of work. Celine clearly explained the positioning of each pose in a patient voice and was also very encouraging. I continue to take classes at Spiritual Flow, and enjoy all of the instructors I have taken class with. I highly recommend Spiritual Flow to people of all different levels of practice, and with a desire to unwind and destress from our busy, busy lives.

I had been to the location a couple of years before and was happy with it. The problem started at the beginning when the instructor gave a passionate plea to speak up about all the awful stuff going on in the country. I ignored it. To be fair I was happy with the class tempo, music, and degree of difficulty. The class ended with a repeat of political activism and shaming if you might not hold those same opinions. I quietly left class but the instructor was at the desk as I put on my coat. I quietly told her I know she noticed I left early, and that I was used to yogis that left us uplifted with quotes from poets, philosophers , or other yogis. That I felt she was giving a political lecture. She vehemently said " Yoga is political". But i feel it is spiritual not political, or at least should be. I was a drop in so maybe the members like this but if you plan on going to this location just be for warned. I was so put off and mad instead of the feeling of love and peace yoga has brought me over the years.

Not only is her review very misleading (because I was there at said class) but she wasn't honest about her behavior (which was embarrassing for her). Every class begins and ends with motivational quotes. Take what resonates and leave what doesn't. Just because something isn't relevant to her life (how lucky) doesn't mean it isn't for someone else. She did not leave quietly, I got to hear her huff & puff and leave class early. I thought that was the end of it but she waited out in the lobby to confront the instructor & raised her voice enough about her Asian American family that came here "the right way" (crazy to assume someone else didn't) that she had to be asked to leave. Now I attend Bruna's class almost every week & always leave feeling empowered & strong. She is an amazing instructor & knows her stuff & I see it every class with how many members love her & look forward to her class. Anyways we love you Bruna & I will always recommend her & all the instructors at Midlo Hot Yoga & Wellness.

Classes currently include Beginner, Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, Flow, and Vinyasa/Pilates. The space is comfortable, with a beautiful original mural as a focal point on one wall. The studio offers the usual bolsters, blocks, straps, blankets, and loaner mats. The studio is quiet (no normal street noise can be heard, although the very occasional fire truck may go by) and the music that accompanies the lessons is in the background but all around you, thanks to the great sound system. Co-owner Kellee is a gem of a yoga instructor -- challenging yet caring, focused yet nurturing. She has taught in several other studios (I have taken lessons from her for four years or so) as well as yoga classes in corporate settings. Kellee customizes her lessons to fit the students' abilities and needs. Alternative versions of postures and poses are introduced as the session progresses to aid those who may have difficulty with the "right" way to achieve the position. She keeps your mind on controlled breathing, focused attention, and peace in the knowledge that you are perfect in the moment, even if you cannot sustain a balance pose as long as everyone else. By the time the class is over, your mind is refreshed, your body renewed, and for the moment peace is restored in a tumultuous world. I have taken classes in other studios from other instructors, and while each teacher brings something that I can learn and take to heart, I have found no classes to compare with those I have shared with Kellee. Not only are they great yoga -- flexibility, strength, balance, mind, body spirit -- they are also a great workout. That's why I drive 30 minutes each way for her classes, and have done so for years as she has taught in other studios. Now that she is part of a partnership in her own space, I know that I have a yoga home. May you find yours as well.

FYI, this is my first time doing Hot Yoga, my second time taking a yoga class in about 6 years so I…read morepretty much don't know anything about yoga besides what I see on tv. I need to explain my physical background/active (not so active..) lifestyle for those people who are considering doing this for the first time. I haven't gone to gym in about 3 months prior to Bikryam, and I occasionally ride my bike casually around my neighborhood for about 3 or 4 miles. My body type is slim, but that doesn't mean I am fit. My endurance isn't great and I am still working on alot of workouts to improve my strength. Hot Yoga: about 30 people in one room set at 105 degrees. Not sure how the humidity is but they did have dehumidifiers in there. Class is 90 mins long and is considered to be an intermediate level of yoga. There are two sets of each "pose" and with barely no breaks between them besides a quick breather. Instructor states if you don't think your body can do it, don't push yourself too much and just sit down or relax. I didn't take that advice and after about 20 mins in I starting feeling really nauseous and lightheaded. I had to leave the room and stay out there for about 30 mins before i came back in.. I felt like I was going to faint. It wasn't that my body physically couldn't do it though. I came back in and just lied on the floor for the rest of the time. The instructor, Rachel, is extremely friendly and understanding. She knows quite a few people are new to this and knows that we're at different levels when it comes to yoga. Everybody was just so friendly there and a few of patrons also told me to keep trying and come back next time. 14 bucks for the first hot yoga session for students which I thought was a pretty good deal. If this is your first time, they give you a free yoga mat/towel to use. You NEED to bring a water bottle but they do have their own filtered water there. You pay after the session is completed. They also have one mens shower and two womens shower I believe if you feel inclined to rinse after. P.S.- i think I would go again if they had a beginner level type of yoga and if it was only for an hour.
