I went in looking for my first set of new clubs. The greeter asked a salesman to help me and he basically pointed to the women's club section and told me to look around to see what I wanted. I wanted information and this was not offered in anyway. He seemed annoyed. Won't go back or recommend. It's a shame as I was ready to spend some money with them. read more

Its a Dicks chain so it is what it is. A bright spot are their people that fit clubs and do lessons. I bought clubs from them, the lady (sorry dont remember the name) that helped me fit was excellent. Down side, half their driving bays are closed and on snow days they get full up, the guys behind the counter act like they're doing you a favor just talking to you. So service is good for club fitting and club maintenance, marginal behind the counter and related to driving bays. read more

I had a fantastic morning at Golf Galaxy doing my driver fitting with Katie! From the minute I walked in the store the customer service was fantastic! I had an appointment and was immediately sent to a a bay with a nice recliner to wait for my customer service tech. Katie got me set up right away and I began testing drivers. Katie gave me a very detailed explanation of drivers, club heads, golf club shafts, spin rates etc. I was able to take my time trying each club and to ask as many questions as necessary in between drivers. There was no hard sales pitch to buy anything at all. The fitting itself cost $99, but that price is deducted from your club purchase if and when you decide to buy. I highly recommend the club fitting. The distance on my drive has gone from 190 yds fading left to 230 yds straight down the fairway. They also offer military discount for those who have served. I will definitely be going back to this store for all my golf needs! read more

Bad customer service experience when trying to buy custom fit irons. The process seems to be missing some steps. Spent over 1,000$ on custom irons. They said they have to submit the order with incorrect shafts but they will call the manufacturer after the order is placed to change the order and they will confirm with me once they do that. Never happened. I had to follow up with about 5 calls over three weeks to confirm this happened. Also, there is no call or email or alert of any kind as to when your custom order has shipped, no tracking, nothing. Any other custom order I've placed with a company I usually get an order shipped email or some kind of notice. Seems crazy the company has no system in place for this especially for such high value items. Hopefully I do not need new clubs but for those looking my advice would be to get a fitting to figure out what you need then order them direct from the manufacturer if possible to get a better customer experience. Unfortunate to say as I would prefer to go into a local store to buy. read more

Today was the last straw for me, I went in for a simple regrip on a few clubs and the repair guy just rushed through my order and totally did a hatchet job!!! This was one of many situations that was a very bad customer service experience. The manager just looked at the regripping job and smerked at it and did nothing about it. I went to this store tonite to find some golf shoes and look for a push cart. I found the shoe section and realized there were over 60 pair of shoes to select for men and counted only 17 for women. Strike 1. I went looking at the golf carts and workers walked past me several times seeing me looking at a particular cart. No offer to help. So I started counting the number of men who came in and were immediately offered help. 8. 8 men were helped and not one worker offered to help me. So I went to pga superstore. They were helpful, attentive, and 322 dollars later won my business. Shame on you golf galaxy! Change your name to golf for men only! read more

Can't say enough good things about every body who works here. Mainly the guys who do the regripping. They do great work and get things done so quick along with being very helpful in every way. Anyone complaining about this store is just flat out wrong considering I have been coming to this location since it opened 2 years ago. Patrick, the sales manager, greeted me at the door when I came in on a Sunday morning. He spent a long time with me, trying different sets of clubs until I found some that were a great fit for my needs and budget. A very good sales experience--Patrick listened to what I wanted, and offered some good advice where needed--no rush, no pressure. I have been in the store a few other times to try out different clubs, and the professional staff has always been very accommodating--on at least one occasion spending several hours with me in the computerized hitting bays (even when they knew I was unlikely to buy anything that day). Great sale. I stopped in to look at clothing since i am down to 1 golf shirt. There was a rounder of sale clothes and i picked 2 shorts. There was also a sign for buy 1 get one half off nike shirts so i picked 2. Paid $100 for 2 shirts and 2 shorts! Cant beat that. Staff was friendly. Will be back. read more

Badly disappointed by the stores associates and management of customers. The store is stocked to the brim with equipment and selection, however it is no good to me if I can not find a customer service associate to answer any questions. I was able to spend 10 min wandering the store from Men's new drivers all the way to the women club' and then to the used club selection with out one associate asking if I needed any help or had any questions. This was on a Friday before noon, so the store was not busy. I was in the market for a new driver and wanted to try some out on the simulator, however after waiting in front of the simulator with clubs in hand for a fair bit of time, not one associate would open the simulator for me, or the other customer who was waiting with me. We both agreed the customer service was very poor, and we both sought out an associate to open the simulator for us. I am disappointed by this experience, because I had the intention of purchasing a full set and bag for my wife, and a new driver for myself. I can find BETTER PRICES ON LINE and not deal with wasting time in a store and get no help. If their prices were actually fair, and they had customer service I would go back and hope this was an isolated incident. The staff on this day walked by me and other customers many times and missed out on their opportunities to gain customers. I hope they can learn from this and make it a better store, but I can't endorse them and would recommend going online for business. read more

I give this two stars for one reason...I like Golf Galaxy in general. But this location consistently pisses me off. If I go in alone, I get helped about 50% of the time. That's pretty bad. Every time I go in with my son and wife, perhaps we just don't look like we're going to buy, I have twice gotten completely ignored. This past Fathers Day, three associates walked by and said nothing, milled around a bit and just kept walking around. Nonetheless, they had a used Ping wedge I wanted, so I chose to help myself. I was holding the wedge when, I can only assume the manager, came by and I thought I was about to get some service. But instead, while I stood there holding a wedge in my hand and a questioning look on my face, I was looked square in the eye and asked to please leave because they were closing in two minutes. I was COMPLETELY taken back! ANY store I have ever been at closing time locks the door to incoming people and finishes serving whoever is inside. I was at least expecting him to say, we're closing in a few minutes, if you have any questions or would like to purchase anything, we can help you up front. But not even that. I give him credit; he was smiling when he said, "were closing sing in two minutes, could you please leave". He did say please and he was smiling. I put the wedge down and left. If I can help it, I'm done with this location. I am let down the vast majority of times I go there. I know they're connected to Dick's (where I've always had descent service). But this location should be called Dicks. read more

WHAT a joke. Spent money multiple times each of last few years, despite limited play...until this year. Even spent $300 each of last two weeks. Went in for a second time today, Monday morning, after attempting to get help yesterday morning. Gee, I was looking to demo/fit/purchase a new set of irons. And pending that experience, a new Driver. ZERO assistance and it was definitely not busy. Not to mention how run down the Westminster store looks now. Wish I had not purchased anything there but after two trips and over an hour wandering the aisle looking at their limited irons "on the shelf"....I am done. very disappointing. read more

I had a great experience at this store. Helpful staff found us the right clubs, and let us test them out as long as we needed in one of the many simulators. I was talked out of a more expensive set and instead went away spending half of what I had expected. Great selection of everything! read more
