This place is very cool! I been here a couple of times in the past and still this place never makes me bored. There is so much to do at this place that every time I go here I feel like a kid in a candy store. Their golf courses are great and each course is unique by the props and the way the course is set up. If you think you seen it all, you have seen nothing yet until you go to their arcade. This arcade has it all from old time classics to the games of today there is a arcade game for everyone. When I first went to their arcade I was amazed by how many arcade games they had. This arcade reminds me of an old 1980s arcade from the movie Tron because all the arcade machines are next to each other. I like their shooting games and pinball machines. The only bad thing about this place is that the arcade seems kinda trashed. I hope to come here again this summer. read more

I'm a big miniature golf fan, and this place is good, but not my favorite course ever. While there are lots of cute buildings with ramps and cement animals and such, the course we did (#2), was a little monotonous. The were far too many holes of the "volcano" variety (a cone of varying slope with a the hole at the top. There are so many more things you can do with miniature golf. It was a little pricey, I thought ($30 for the four of us), but the place was clean and it was a good hour or more of fun for the family. read more

Phew! Upon entering, this place has a strong odor! Yikes. They now have laser tag in the old arcade room. Golf is paid up front, so don't go to the golf area to pay. We didn't order food or drinks, so I can't comment on that, but a female worker on course 3 noticed my son's ball went into the water, so she offered to get us another one. She never showed up with the ball! We found a ball hidden within the bushes and used that instead. Monday night's are half off so I'll have to come back then. Please get rid of that odor! read more

Paid for a round of miniature golf, and was then told that they had no score cards and no pencils. Really!?! Luckily we had both in the car, as we take our Miniature Golf pretty seriously lol. There was no staff out on the courses, so their were people jumping from course to course the entire time, interrupting our game. Course 2 was pretty much the same hole over and over again, maybe a different course would have been better, but no staff could answer any questions, they were all to busy talking to each other and on their cell phones. My husband and I are mini golf nuts, and our goal is to play at every course around California. Our Golfland in town closed so we made a trip to this one then to Dave & Busters afterward. I passed this place on I680 on my way to work for a year before finally deciding to take my family one weekend. We loved it. It was not crowded with lots of things to do, and although we have a closer mini-golf course, in San Jose, I even decided to organize my daughter's birthday there. And while I will update the review after the party, as now I want to mention that I like the layout, the diversity and the different levels of difficulty for the mini-golf. Also, they have the game area that is quite an attraction and full of parents and kids. This will not be our last visit for sure! read more

We do a lot of mini golf at a lot of places and this one hands down is the best kept. It has the nicest atmosphere day or night. Most of the arcade is lackluster, but the pacman air hockey game is intense. This doesnt lose a star because I go to golf land for the golf! read more

This place when you first walk I'm smells like baby butt trying to be covered up by carpet shampoo, it's not pleasant. When I was young I used to go head all the time. Mini golf is always fun and the new laser tag arena is pretty cool, however the machines haven't been updated in years. Golfland is the lesser of two evils. The bigger evil being.. feeling bored and sitting at home playing video games like a loser. In all honesty, this place sucks. What do you expect, it's 2011, the general populace is too lazy to step out of their homes, and there's no money to be made in coin-ops. The management are not gamers themselves doing this as a labour of love, and are not going to put any time or money to freshen this place up, so it's falling apart. At least this is the largest of the South Bay (Sunnyvale and San Jose) Golflands. I give it 4 stars relative to other arcades in this day and age.. People can bitch all they want but is there a better alternative available? If you're looking for more mediocre arcades in the bay area, there is Nickel City and Malibu Grand Prix, and a few smaller places. read more

I wanted you to share my experience with the yelp community. We frequently visit for other birthday parties, and occasionally it is not the best experience. However, This experience was phenomenal. The food especially was fantastic. Our party host, John, told us that the sauce was new and everyone at my party enjoyed it. Our party host, John, was fantastic and very helpful, and we will definitely be requesting him next year. We have seen him hosting parties before in the past and we were very impressed that one person could handle my entire group of 80+ people. I will definitely be recommending requesting him to my many friends who have parties there. The golf course seems to have improved since I last came. Last time I came there were many fountains off, and hole problems. We did experience problem on the saloon area where the balls got stuck which was frustrating but the person at the golf counter was quick in helping us. The last part of our party, the most stressful, redemption. Luckily the people working the redemption were very efficient and friendly. This is probably the worse establishment I've ever been to. The will scam you out of your money by promising "unlimited" and then going back on their word. Don't bother speaking to the "supervisor" he has no sense of customer service and is more concerned with the company gaining a profit. When two little kids are staring into your eyes with a buttload of tickets and you are only ONE minute late from closing time of the front area and you say NO get your prize tomorrow, you are a mean evil person. Did I mention it was my little cousin's birthday? We spent eighty dollars playing games earning tickets for the little girl yet they did not let us cash it in. By the way these kids live in FREMONT and don't go here often, so the tickets have still not been cashed in one year later. I felt so bad that the person left them crying but I guess it's a dog eat dog world. Their pizza is not that great either. The golf course is kind of nice at night but as many say, a pig is still a pig even with lipstick. I don't think golfland can ever be resurrected from it's doom. Let it be known. read more

First time taking my niece and my little girl there. Walking in place was great with all games and stuff. I purchased mini golf and bumper cars. Came back to buy ice cream but ending up with shakes was not what it look like. Messy shake and no customer service at bumper car.I would not go back there. read more

Great place for a birthday party, especially on a sunny day. (If not then they can always play in the arcade which the kids will want to do anyway.) The staff is courteous and super helpful, before and on the day of the party. Also important to note that they're not only not trying to sell you anything you don't want but also giving advise if you don't need what you thought you did. During the party the hosts came back several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Also really nice that they're easy on the time (of course if no other party is going to need your space) and not rushing you to pack and leave when the time is officially up. Highly recommend to have your party at Golfland Milpitas. Well-managed place. read more

I have been going to this facility for many years. Most recent was yesterday. The facility could use some updating and the games will usually take your tokens and then you need to find an employee to fix the game. However, this is usually tolerable. What threw me over the edge was that I purchased a pizza and simply got up to get a cup for our full pitcher of soda to see an employee throw away my pizza. I then brought it to an employees attention and they did not know what to do. I then spoke to a rude supervisor who asked me to point out who tossed my pizza and when I did she bold face lied and the supervisor's response was well since you don't know who threw it away I do not know what to tell you! I have worked in customer service for years and that is not how you handle a customer. I will not be returning to this facility and will simply take my business elsewhere. read more

Extremely unclean, disorganized place to have birth day parties. Our friends had it two weeks back. The play area is well below average in terms of fun and presentation. And the laser tag place is O.K. for a first timer. If you have visited other laser tag places, then it's going to be a dud for you. Now coming to the party hall, boy, it stinks. I didn't feel like sitting anywhere in that hall. It's dark, unclean benches and tables. Coming to the food, I took one slice of pizza (veggie) and had a byte of it and left it right there. i usually love going here because i like the video game selection they have. i like the 6 dollar unlimited nights on wednesday. the redemption games are fun too. however, the people that work there are extremely RUDE and unfriendly. i ordered some pizza and chicken and the girl seemed like she did not want to help me. she rolled her eyes at me and seemed like she didnt want to make my food. afterwards, i redeemed a coupon of about 500 tickets that i received from the golfland by oakridge. the coupon did not say i couldnt redeem it here and she was really mean about it. she was like "where did you get this?" i said the golfland by oakridge...and she was like "you have to use it only THERE." I was like geeeeeez calm down. it says "golfland entertaiment" so i assumed i could use it at any golfland. they need a better staff there =( read more

Yay for mini golf!!!! It had been more years then I care to mention since I had been mini golfing, and on whim I exclaimed to my man I wanted to go mini golfing. We had been here and played some video games, boo to a lot of the old school machines being broken. Come on, people MUST love to play skee ball! At least when it works. Never had any food, so no opinion on that..so back to the mini golf part. I dunno, it seemed a fair price for a summer Saturday afternoon, and all the mechanics of each hole seemed to work fine. It was clean and super fun! Felt like a kid, bouncing around happily while beating my boyfriend (sooo thought he was going to kick MY butt) and giggling at errors and multiple stokes made by the both of us. We brought our baby in a stroller, only having one spot were 2 people was necessary to lift the stroller over an obstacle. Not perfectly easy to maneuver around, but hey it's mini golf, I'm not really complaining. Staff was friendly, though sometimes it can be hard to track someone down. I think its fun, and hope they fix the broken games soon, then I would happily adventure back to the game room :) read more

It was pretty dead when we arrived, around 3pm on a Friday. Played a few arcade games. Then made our way to the golf courses. We only played one round of golf and it was pretty fun. It was a spur of the moment idea on a Friday afternoon. Would definitely recommend bringing a group of friends or family and do a round of golf and play some games. Coming here still brings memories as a kid. It seems that the golf course had been updated since the turf is pretty smooth with no bumps and tears. I think on Thursday's during the summer the arcade games are free since my friends and I came on Thursday and it was packed. It's funny how this place still smells the same as it did 10 years ago. I love the multiple courses with the great variety of holes and challenges, and also the larger-than-usual (for a minigolf place) arcade. However, when my four-year-old and I were there today for an outing, it was a gorgeous, sunny day and they seemed woefully understaffed. They have one counter that handles snack bar, token purchases, arcade ticket redemption, laser tag and minigolf purchases. One person was at the ticket redemption end and one person at the counter for everything else. She forgot to give us our balls at the time we got our putters, so we had to come back for those. The layout of the place is also very convoluted and it took us a bit of wandering around to figure out where we paid to play golf and get our equipment. After we finished playing in the arcade, only two of their 5 ticket counter machines were operating. I'm not sure whether the variety and quality of the courses themselves are worth the disappointing service and quality of layout and other amenities. read more

I hadn't been here since a kid so like 15-20 years+. I was pleasantly surprised though. Greens are clean compared to Malibu, Sunnyvale Golfland etc. Really liked the design of courses. Best mini gold in South bay. Lot better to mini golf and have a good time then say Malibu and Sunnyvale. 5 Stars easy. read more

Unserstaffed. Run by a bunch of teenagers who are beyond lost. Took over 20 minutes for icee and nachos and then I just decided on a refund which took another 10 minutes. No AC inside and many games were broken. All were overpriced. read more
