Went for a fitting in Oct 2024. Paid $1100, overpriced for a 3 wood. The shaft broke 18 months later while hitting a golf ball. They told me that it might be under warranty and told me that I had to bring the shaft in (why?). Let's just say as someone who has never been fitted for a club I was expecting a lot more out of being fitted. I didn't know anything that they did didn't already tell me. I also didn't know that they mainly use AI to tell you what shaft or head you should use which was very disappointing considering I can just do that myself. People there are nice but I felt like I got salesman pitched and ended up buying something very expensive that I overall didn't need which I think is my fault however, it would've been nicer to know this going in. I recently went to get all new clubs for my anniversary. (mine were about 35 years old) I had an amazing fitting with Bryce and he really took me through the ringer! Meaning, he truly watched my swing, analyzed my comfort vs improvement rating through a variety of shafts, heads, weights, and more than I ever knew went into it! I just thought you hit a few different clubs and chose a set. I didn't really know all the calculations involved. He thoroughly explained all the "numbers on the screen" and taught me what each does for my golf game. My husband got his woods fitted at the same time and we both walked out of their excited for them to be made and shipped. I had a fitting done here two years ago, and the experience was great (I subsequently bought my 3H there last year). I've been playing a lot more golf lately and I thought that a 60 degree wedge would be a good addition, so I scheduled a fitting for today. I worked with Taylor, and he did an exemplary job looking at my current wedge gapping and explaining the pros and cons of adding a lob wedge to my set. His attitude was that of "I'm going to advise you as if this were my set of clubs; I'm not trying to just sell you something you don't need." In the end, he simply modified the angle of my 56 to a 57, and he didn't think the 60 was necessary based on my gapping. I am truly impressed with Taylor and Club Champion for hiring such quality representatives, and I'll be coming back again for any future club needs! read more

SCAM - GO TO PRO GOLF DISCOUNT Long story short, there was a promo code - $175 fitting for $50 with a purchase - figured that isn't too bad, let's do it. The fitting went well, guy was helpful and knowledgable, but when it came time to quote, the guy sent me a quote for $2,782 for Mizuno 223 irons with KBS shafts. Part of this quote was their shaft "puring" process ($280), so even if you back that out it was still a $2,502 quote. The "pure" process is supposed to remove variability in the flex of the shaft from swing-to-swing and their sales pitch on this is showing you a 30 second video of two clubs in a machine and one is whippier than the other. How is one to know if those are even the same shafts? I went to Pro Golf Discount and got the same irons, shafts and grips for $1,312.50 pre-tax. There was no up-charge for the shaft or grips. When I called Champion to ask for them to honor the promo since their quote was comically high, I was given some song and dance about how they have to order everything ala carte and that is why it was so much. Why not just order the clubs with the correct shafts and remove them to "pure" them and charge for that service? If the claim is they need the shafts to not have grips to "pure" the shafts, that is fine, but let me know that essentially I am paying over $1K to have them "pure" because the quote makes it look like its $280. This was not communicated at all. At Pro Golf Discount they let me try the shaft / club head combs I wanted, on a Trackman, with no fee. In fairness, the people at Champion were all fine to work with from the fitter to the manager, but their business model is nothing special and they provide a service you can get for free at many pro shops. Lastly, they didn't even have the Mizuno 223 (I had to hit its predecessor), nor did they have the Callaway Apex. If you are paying top dollar for a fitting to be able to hit every iron on the market. In summation -- unless you buy into "puring" shafts, there is no value in going here over a traditional pro shop. read more

I went ahead and bought the club I was fitted for but on further review it was grossly over-priced. That may have been okay but going on six weeks I still don't have a club and have had no updates as to when I will receive it. I've had clubs built and actually built a few myself. It takes about 15 minutes. I can see how some people have a had a good experience, but the absurd pricing and non-existent customer service is really not worth it. Also I was not alerted to the fact that it would take anywhere near this long to receive the club when agreeing to the purchase, and they do not allow cancellations or returns. Again, I now feel I got railroaded into buying an $1,100 club that I can get fitted for at Puetz for a little more than half that. read more

TLDR; very thorough process with lots of options to try. Generally good experience. Pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for. Communication on CC as a whole could be slightly improved. I recently did a full bag fitting here and wanted to share my thoughts. I've never had a fitting before, but I've been playing a lot more golf and decided to see what might help improve my game. I'm playing with 15 year old hand me downs and used bits of gear, so everything is probably pushing 20+ years old. I had booked pretty early prior to my appt and requested James based on these reviews, but I ended up with Dane. I do wish CC had reached out to notify me of this, as what's the point of requesting someone if you're just going to get assigned to someone else? Was a little miffed about that. Having nothing to compare the experience to, I was pretty happy with the result. I did one session for the irons, trying over a dozen shafts and nearly that many heads. We ended up with something I liked the look and feel of. I was definitely tired and my hands were close to blistering so we called it a day and scheduled the 2nd half of the session for driver and woods a few weeks later, and even squeezed in a putter evaluation too. I am bummed to say, when I went to the second session it seems like a lot of the heads were en route back to the manufacturers to be replaced with the latest gear, so I wasn't able to try as many heads. Had I known this, we could have moved the second half of the fitting to allow for a wider variety. Overall Dane seemed knowledgeable about all the brands and was able to share his own experiences as well help me understand a lot of the baseline goals for the numbers on the trackman. He asked about my game goals (I filled in detailed info on that as requested by CC prior to coming, but it didn't appear to have been reviewed), budget constraints, etc. I explained that I wanted to see what was out there and how it might positively affect my game, as well as areas I struggled, and we went from there. When all was said and done, I didn't walk out with any clubs but I did have an idea of what worked for me. Dane wasn't pushy at all about selling anything, which I think is one of the huge benefits of CC - yes the fitting costs, but then salespeople aren't super pressuring you into clubs, and you don't feel guilty having "wasted" hours of this store's time just to walk out with nothing. The price here is expensive especially with the puring of clubs at 65 bucks per shaft. Its up to you really, frankly I wanted to know what it would all cost me for a full bag revamp, regardless of cost. Buy some, buy all, buy none, buy none. They'll work with you, and will let you know about manufacturers as far as how often they typically update their clubs and what may or may not get you a deal, whether thats at CC or elsewhere. Club Champion had an off season promo saying that if you booked and bought during and certain time and spent at least $500, you'd get half off the fitting. I had technically booked prior to the promotional period (the day of the fitting itself fell within the period) but emailed ahead and was granted the go-ahead anyways, no questions asked. A few criticisms, and the only negatives - I think the screens could use replacing, they'd been battered with balls and had some tears/rips. Also wear shorts, it's super hot in there, and I ended both sessions soaked with sweat! Finally I will add one tidbit that it seems like the staff could take their covid precautions a bit more seriously, masks were falling down and it might make people uneasy. read more

I recently received a gift card for my birthday for a Club Champion fitting as I was in the market for some new irons. I got connected with Sean Howley who paced me through a 1 1/2 hour session. Process was super amazing and it started with hitting several shots from my existing 6 iron. Establishing a baseline of swing speed, smash value and swing path, etc. They start by finding the "right" shaft for your swing and then work through various heads. Plan to hit balls for an hour plus! At the end of the session, we landed on a new shaft and head that resulted in an additional 25-30 yards on this new 6 iron Sean put together for me. I would highly recommend this process for anyone looking to make the equipment upgrade. I think wedges and a driver fitting will be next in line for me. Go see these guys!! read more

I recently got a full bag fitting done with James Wallace. I would describe myself as a mid to high handicapper, and was a little doubtful that my swing would be consistent enough for a fitting. Despite my worries (and frequent mishits), James was able to dial me into a new full bag that I can be confident in. James and the staff went above and beyond. They stayed open late one night, and broke my full bag fitting up into two sessions given that I was pretty fatigued by the time we were done with my irons and wedges. First, I would give them 5 stars for the fitting. I had the Iron fitting for $150 and it was money very well spent. I tried at least 20 different shafts and 7 different club heads. We settled on the TaylorMade P790 with Nippon 950GH shaft, 1.5 degrees flat lie and 1/2 inch long. I hit that combo a little longer than the others with a higher trajectory and more spin, just what I was looking for. Then came the sales pitch to buy the clubs. Their pricing was $1399.92 for the heads (4 through A Wedge), $65.00 each for the shaft, $13.00 each for the grips, and $30.00 per shaft for PUREing. The total was $2466.31 including tax. I went to TaylorMade. The irons were $1399.99 and included the Nippon 950GH shaft, extra length and lie adjustment. There was an $8.00 per club upcharge for the grip. Total was $1610.38 with tax before the 15% discount TaylorMade gives to veterans (I actually paid $1368.82 but I'm doing the price comparison to TaylorMade's full retail price) So, $855.93 more from CC. Take away the $240.00 for PUREing and the exact same clubs were $615.00 (44%) more. It's not about the money because it's not a big amount but I don't like paying extra for something just for fun. I know they claim to build the clubs to ensure they fit the specs. I have the tools to check swing weight, loft and length myself and if they aren't correct, TaylorMade will correct the problem. So, for club pricing I give them a 1 star rating. read more

James was very efficient and knew the numbers very well which made things easier. Fittings are not cheap but it's definitely worth every penny. I am fairly new to golf, and I had booked a driver fitting appointment with Chase. We had a great chat, he asked me what I was looking for, my current clubs, how they perform, where I was at my game etc... After a good discussion he recommended that I wait for the fitting. I really appreciated the honest feedback rather than just try to make a sale. He also gave me some good tips, I will be definitely coming back, and I highly recommend to try them out. Summary: Did a great job with the fitting, and I loved the irons I got, but it took me over 4 months (double the estimated time) to get my complete set and they did not give my anywhere near my money's worth of service throughout the process. The fitter was knowledgeable and the fitting process was thorough; I definitely left feeling like it was worth it to pay the extra to get a great fitting. I was taking a couple of golf trips in June and July, and wanted to have my clubs long before then to get comfortable with them, so I scheduled my appointment for early March. They told me 6-8 weeks on the irons, and my irons were largely in within that window, arriving in late April. When I got to the store, they handed me my irons and said "here you go!" without mentioning that they only had 6 of the 7 irons I ordered and hadn't waited on the other one. When I asked about where my 4 iron was, they said they were just waiting on a grip and it should be here soon and they'd get it here ASAP. You can imagine my frustration when mid-June rolled around (3 MONTHS after paying a lot of money for my fitting and order) and I still didn't have a complete set for my golf trip. When I came by the store to check on my order, they again said it still wasn't in and they'd do everything they could to get it there before my trip (a bit over a week away), which didn't end up happening, frustratingly enough. I figured after reaching out multiple times and expressing my frustration that they might take some initiative to reach out to me or keep me posted and actually would get it here as fast as they could, seeing as it had been over 3 months since my order. In reality, I waited for ANOTHER month, before I reached out again and expressed my frustration and asked where my iron was. At no point did they reach out and say anything about it, and it left me feeling like if I hadn't reached out I literally might never have gotten my iron. When I reached out they said they understood my frustration and were doing everything they could. I got my iron 5 days later, over 4 months for my iron and finally got it after having to get on their case about it multiple times. All in all, I paid a lot of money for irons (which I ended up happy with) but I waited over double the time it would take to get there and had to get on their case a bunch due to their poor service to even receive my iron within that time. read more

This is part-1 of my review. It's based solely on the experience of a full bag fitting. I'll come back and update once I have the new clubs (driver, 2i, 4-PW) in play for a couple of weeks. The quoted lead time for the orders is 6-8 weeks ... so, don't hold your breath waiting for Part-2. I've played golf for 40+ years both for fun and competitively. The past 10+ years has been strictly for beers and grins. Recently I happened on TXG YouTube channel and got the bug to play in various competitions around Seattle. First thing was to get swing in shape and then after reviewing TXG videos and following various other articles I decided to find go thru my first full bag fitting. Booked with Chase at CC well in advance to ensure I had plenty of time to play and understand how my gamers were performing. Facility: - easy to find and free parking - everyone was CV-19 aware and following protocols - hitting bays are below par simply because of poor lighting - sun glare makes it very hard to see anything on the screens Fitter: - Chase performed my fitting - very nice guy and seems well versed in heads/shafts Fitting General: - TrackMan seems a bit off - I've been playing 3 rounds a week and hitting range twice a week since mid Jan - shot monitor has my 6i carry at 152-154 and driver at ~220 - the past 2 months say that my 6i carry is 165 - it's consistent, but time will tell if it's me or TM that is off by 1 club (10y) - brought my own golf ball to ensure consistency - tees provided were about 1/2 inch too short for me - they lack the ability to blow on a grip to match my preference - this distinctly changes the feel of a club - I understand not doing this for every test combo - but, for the final 2 choices a proper grip may change launch results - they should be able to blow a grip on/off in a couple minutes - I finished my session 60 minutes early ... time isn't the issue - in general they use a stats chart to fit your clubhead/ball speed into a window of optimal spin, launch angle and ball height Driver: - gamer came in at 220 carry w/ rollout to 231 - found a shaft/head combo that came in at 243 carry w/ rollout to 265 - we tested 5-6 heads and 6-8 shafts - there were some that were silly awful - once we found 2 that looked good we rehit gamer and the 2 candidates to arrive at the statistical best - I feel like we maybe should have toyed with different shaft lengths to see if dispersion and contact remains good while pushing the clubhead/ball speed up a bit 3-metal: - gamer was quote: "I can't beat those numbers" - honest opinion appreciated - we agreed that my current (and new) 3w was a winner 2i/Driving Iron: - gamer came in at 194 carry w/ rollout to 208 - found a shaft/head combo that came in at 204 carry w/ rollout to 221 - few head/shaft combos here to arrive a very good statistical best 6-iron: - by full bag they mean test the 6i and extrapolate - gamer came in at 155 carry w/ rollout to 160 - found a shaft/head combo that came in at 163 carry w/ rollout to 170 - we tested 6-8 heads and at least that many shafts - this was a bit tiring, but useful as the results were all over the chart - same process here as we found 2 that looked good and then rehit them w/ gamer to arrive at statistical best Wedges: - just found/bought brand new wedges that I hit super - no work done here - my choice Putter: - here is a challenge for CC - I play RH, but putt LH - while I saw a limited number of LH options I was lucky in that CC had the LAB DF putter fitter for testing - after using SAM ('science and motion' putter system) to measure my gamer which came in at 80% we measure me up for L.A.B. DF - I tested it and Scotty Cameron ... choice was too obvious for me and SAM - stats w/ L.A.B. were, according to SAM, "Tiger like" Purchasing: - Chase quoted me for Driver, 2i, 4i-W and putter - pointed out that CC isn't the cheapest, but they guarantee the delivered club exactly matches the fitted spec - I went online to compare CC quote to obvious online stores - for my combos the cost at online stores and CC were a wash - no difference for drive and putter and irons were only $200-$300 cheaper - CC gets the cash because they did the work to help select Rest of the story about real-world results in a few months... read more

Great result, I love my clubs from Club Champion Bellevue and have received great service too! I started with a Driver fitting in 2017, ended up getting a driver/shaft I never would have found by trial-and-error or a 'Titleist or Taylor-made' only type fitting. I love this driver, a Callaway, and it has really improved my game, giving me a lot of confidence to full-swing all the time! FYI: I'm a 10-Hcp. I went back in early 2018 to get a Full-fitting, and ended up with irons (Mizuno) and shafts that, once again, I never would have found any other way. I love my irons!! Came in as a new golfer for an iron fitting with JJ. I knew coming in that I was too inconsistent but couldn't t shake the feeling that my clubs were wrong for me. JJ is an absolute boss. He gave me the best golf lesson of my life which immediately made my swing feel way more natural, and allowed me to hit higher shots with some draws in the process which I'd never really done before. Of course, we then went through tons of combinations and JJ found really good game improvement irons for me. Each of his recommendations felt better than the last. Wish I could hire JJ as an instructor, though he did give me contacts to good local teachers (my current one obviously is no good given he hasn't taught me anything JJ has in 3 lessons). Best part was he wasn't pushy about selling expensive irons that would've been wasted on me. He worked with my budget and identified great OEM irons. 1000% would recommend asking for JJ and getting fit here. read more

Pretty easy formula. Hit all the different shafts with the same head. Find the shaft that gives you the best numbers. Then pick the head that gives you the best numbers with that shaft for your swing. Then have the shafts and heads built and you have a set that is the best combo for your specific swing. No more questions - if these are the right clubs for you - you know, based on the trackman numbers and Eric and Andrews help that they are the best setup. Sure the prices are steep, but if you love golf and play a lot, it makes sense to get properly fit. What I have found is the service after the sale is fantastic. That says a lot. I love the set I purchased. The only problem is, now I can't blame the equipment. All the folks I have referred feel the same way, that the set of clubs they end up with are perfectly fit for their swing and they are all happy customers. read more

I didn't have a good fitting experience. I paid $175 for 1 hour 30 minutes for driver fitting. That's a lot of money and I didn't even get to try all the shafts that I wanted to try. I had though CC would have lots of shafts to try but actually it was only a few brands for the driver. I wanted to try different driver heads and shafts but I keep getting objections and hesitations. I don't know if I like a shaft and head combo, if I don't try it. He kept saying it wasn't going to make any difference. Doesn't matter because I am paying for that 1.5 hours of time. I should be able to try EVERYTHING...Some driver heads are missing weights that come when it is on store shelf. I felt rush as if I was to finish early it would be better for them since it is more money for the time...I will not recommend Bellevue CC for a fitting to any of my friends or people who ask for my opinion...I felt that I wasted $175 because I could of got fitted at any local retail golf store for $50. The biggest ripoff in golf fitting. First off, read the fine print. If they use your club heads and just reshaft them, you lose their guarantee that you will gain distance. My fitter actually bent my clubs to wrong specs and admitted doing it. then had to rebend them 3 to 5 degrees to get them corrected. I still lost yardage and they refused to stand by their work. I was also fitted for a new driver $499 head and $300 for the shaft and did not hit it any better/further than my current driver. When I complained, they told me they would not reimburse me for any of the component's. I am out $3400. Like I said, the biggest ripoff in golf! read more

Everything went great with the fitting in OKC, Trey was great and accommodated my Dad and I at the same time. This was on 6/6/2020, today is 8/2/2020, still haven't seen a single club. Customer service has been absolutely terrible. I purchased putter through drive, they have been telling me everything is in except the titleist irons. I have asked them repeatedly to send what they have, while they wait on the irons. This hasn't happened, even though they said they could make this happen. They say they try to complete the entire order before shipping, seems like they are simply trying to save a little money from having to make two separate shipments. I am a 60 year old golfer who has played for 45 years and am currently a 1 handicap. I read about Club Champion (CC) in a Golf Washington article several months ago and when I heard they were opening in Bellevue, I was excited. A visit to the PGA show in Orlando last year convinced me that all golfers should be fitted for the proper clubs. Unfortunately, the selection in most local golf shops is limited by the shop and also the manufacturer. I wanted to be able to try different shafts that fit me through Trackman and then have them put on my clubs. CC can do that! CC has the best selection of shafts that I have ever seen and the ability to hit them with my OEM brand club head is perfect. Eric Hambleton did an outstanding job of trying different combinations of shafts once we set the standard with my current clubs and then compiled a very through analysis of Trackman numbers to determine the right iron and hybrid shafts for me. He explained the issues I had with the current set and what I needed in the way of shafts to fix it. I was shocked how off my current set, which had been custom assembled by the major OEM in the golf business, was compared to the new shaft set. Eric sent the order off the same day as the fitting and kept me up-to-date on the status. Once the shafts arrived, we had several problems with the head gram weights in the wedge set (manufacturer error), which he spent countless hours trying to fix. He finally released the set when he was satisfied with the results. I had been off for 2 weeks from golf on vacation and my first round was at a course I hadn't played in 25 years. I shot 74 and was surprised at how the clubs felt and their performance. My next round 2 days later was from the black tees at the course I play the most, which I figured would be a good test on how well these clubs performed, since I know my normal distances and tendencies. I played with 3 buddies who know my game as well, but didn't know I had new irons and hybrid shafts. The first iron shot I hit was 2 feet, and I subsequently had 7 shots for the day inside 8 feet and shot 65, tying my best round. They couldn't believe it! I have played 3 more rounds since then from the blue tees at different courses and shot 70, 70 and 72. I experienced a feeling I have never had in golf, of total confidence in my shafts and clubs. I now am waiting for driver/fairway wood shafts to come in, where on the Trackman I was picking up 9 yards of carry with the driver alone with the new shaft. If you are interested in improving your game (and who isn't) you'd be foolish not to stop by and meet with Eric and/or Andrew and get fitted properly. I would give them a 10 star! read more

Let me start off by saying Club Champion is a club fitter. They don't do lessons and won't be working on your swing. They are there to fit you with the best shaft and club for your swing. That said you will be amazed at how different each shaft is. The numbers you will get off of changing a shaft is incredible and I am now 100% convinced it's all about the shaft, not the club head. In Seattle, we really only had one option before Club Champion which is Greg Rodgers. I'm glad there's someone else local who we can go to after a pretty dismal experience with Greg Rodgers. Even if you are a GR fan, competition is good for us the consumer so both should be better over time. I would recommend Club Champion over GR. I am still a little baffled at my fitting at GR. Many golf reps and two pros have made polite but subtle comments ever since I got my GR set up that it's a "interesting" or "unique" fit. Which I like is polite professional code for WTF were they thinking? A little thing, but I was never professionally fit for a putter. Found out mine was a few degrees off on my toe/heel angle. This would cause me to catch my toe on the green every so often, opening the face. Eric changed the angle ever so slightly. Went and rolled some putts and it did make a noticeable difference. Didn't catch the turf on a single roll. That right there was worth the money too me. Especially since they have some great promos going on now! read more
