GOOD! It was my first time coming here, and I really enjoyed the rotisserie chicken and sticky rice. The service was great, and the ambiance was amazing. It reminded me of a pocha in Korea! I recommend coming if you're in the area.

This is a great spot for some late night snack and drinks with friends. Their rice cake (tteokbokki) had a really good texture, it was chewy, soft, and bouncy. We also ordered the fish cake soup and their roasted chicken stuffed with sticky rice (mala style). The chicken stuffed rice was something unique and definitely worth trying.
LOVED this spot! It's been on my list for a couple months now. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The food was excellent and I loved all the flavors, well priced too I thought (for Seattle). Although my favorite item was honestly the Jipyeong BAM Makgeoli (chestnut) drink it was delicious and we split it amongst the table (there were 3 of us). Must get food items: the rice cakes !! The inside is cute and I like that they have made it look like a market. My only critique was that the music was a bit loud, but the staff seemed hyped which was fun.
Vibes were good but the service and food was not. The corn cheese rotisserie chicken has undercooked chicken and overcooked rice with super greasy non charred cheese. Tobokki is straight water and gochu. Kimbamp was okay. We have pancakes we waited for 1hr that never came. Checked with our server 2 times and she said it's coming after 30 mins but nobody checked in on us nor the pancake showed up after 1 hr.

They gave us tteokbokki on the house! The waiters were attentive and friendly. Vibes were great. The rotisserie chicken and corn cheese was more than enough for 2 people; comes with cabbage salad and pickled radish (we ordered with our eyes, not our stomach). I loved the oden broth (very umami and fishy). The vegetable kimbap had really good rice:filling ratio(best I've seen in this economy)
I've always walked past Golmok Market Bar and finally tried it. The interior was decorated in a cool way and there was an overall lively atmosphere. Our waitress was really friendly and had a great sense of humor too. We ordered the rotisserie chicken with corn cheese, the Chung Ju steamed Manila clams, and the mung bean pancake. The corn cheese ended up being my favorite part of the chicken dish, but the chicken was kind of dry. The steamed clams were cooked well, although the broth leans more on the saltier side so I would pair it with rice. This was my first time trying a mung bean pancake and I really liked it, but I wish it had come with a dipping sauce since it was a little dry on its own. Overall, it's a fun spot to eat with friends, and the food is reasonably priced.
Finally got the chance to eat at Golmok before heading to a concert at Neumos! It was very much enjoyable and tasty! My friend and I actually came a bit early because it said it opened on 4 pm when I looked it up but it actually opened at 5 pm, so to kill time we just window shopped. When it finally came time, we were first seated at the taller tables, but they moved us to the window. I don't know the reason but, I actually liked sitting near the window more. My friend and I ordered their tuna mayo kimbap, oyster seafood pancake, which is seasonal, and their kimchi udon. We got a tteokbokki on the house. The tuna mayo kimbap was big and filling. We actually saved it for later because we knew we get full. We were able to finish the kimchi udon and tteokbokki. The kimchi udon broth actually reminded me of shin ramen broth. It tasted good but, oh my the kimchi was pretty sour. I loved everything else in it. I wonder if the kimchi was either just made or has been fermenting for a while. The tteokbokki was cooked to perfection and nice texture! My favorite was the oyster seafood pancake. Also had to take it to go but, it was crispy and the oyster melted in your mouth. However, I definitely wanted more oysters than batter. I'm definitely coming again because the quality of food is great but, also I was highly recommended their corn cheese rotisserie chicken and didn't get to try it. Hopefully will come back in a bigger party so it would be worth it!
I live right by this place and have been wanting to try it for a while. I was so surprised to see a WHOLE rotisserie chicken on the menu and I just had to try it. I was not disappointed! The chicken was juicy and well cooked and it paired well with the sticky rice inside and corn cheese on top. It was definitely a heavy meal so I recommend sharing it or of course take some leftovers home which I did :) I also tried the lychee highball which was pretty good. I liked the vibe of the place, giving off late night Korean bites. Servers were super accommodating and friendly, I will definitely be back to try their other dishes.
This spot definitely has the lively atmosphere and nostalgic decor of a trendy alleyway bar. We came right as they opened and was successful at avoiding any wait time. Seating area is spacious. They had bar top, high tops, and long tables for larger groups. The menu was simple and straightforward. We ordered beef bulgogi kimbap, kimchi udon, and the memory lunch box from their winter special menu. We also ordered a couple bottles of apple soju. The food was tasty and enjoyable. Portion sizes were decent and perfect for sharing. The kimbap came with 10 slices and drizzled with bulgogi sauce. The kimchi udon had the perfect spice and excellent balance of umani. The soup had generous portions of fish cakes. The memory lunch box was something out of Squid Games. The tin lunch box was packed with rice, kimchi, luncheon meat, and a fried egg. Prices were also reasonable. Overall, a good spot to stop by before or after bar hopping.
I think their food tastes pretty good overall. The tteokbokki is spicy in a good way but I do think the serving size is a littleee small. It's $12 for 5 big rice cakes, I've gotten their oden pot before too it's $13 for ~4 sticks, and this rotisserie chicken was $31. Chicken was a little tough but it was still good, corn cheese is on the sweeter side too. The seafood pancake is pretty good, they had like mini octopuses I don't remember the price but I thought it was pretty worth-- the middle did feel a little too mushy/undercooked for my preference but the outside is very crispy! The workers are very attentive and kind, the atmosphere makes it feel very hyper and social, especially the music. It's more of a night-out kind of restaurant with loud music and chatter.
This place is usually packed by 7, so I'm glad we got there by 5 (right when they open) to snag a table. Service is 10/10, we were greeted by a server right away and she offered us tea to stay warm from the cold. We were also given recommendations and we took her word for it; hands down the most creative dishes we've had. Our fav was the chicken w/ crispy sticky rice: reminded me of the hannam oriental roast chicken in Seoul . The interior is similar to some of my fav pochas in nyc/seoul, what a vibe. It does get loud though. Def worth coming back to try something new from their menu. The only downside is that they may not have a dessert menu and I was craving hotteok, bungeo-ppang and bingsu last night
Hmm, pretty basic Korean street food. The price is fair and the vibe is nice, but everything felt pretty basic overall. Customer service was just so-so. The food was okay, nothing really stood out to me. The chicken honestly wasn't worth the hype, but I did like the tteokbokki sauce. good place for the atmosphere, but the food itself was just average for me.
What an experience. I absolutely loved everything about Golmok. The structure and decor makes you feel like you're eating at a pocha directly out of Korea. It felt very authentic making the experience a lot more immersive. I just love the environment of everyone having a good time and laughing and talking loud and drinking. For the meal itself, we got the plain and corn cheese rotisserie chickens with kimbap and tteokbokki as the sides. Everything was spectacular. The wasabi sausage kimbap was a very interesting combo but it somehow worked. The kimbap was packed and all the ingredients tasted really fresh and complemented each other very well. It tasted even better dipped in to the tteokbokki sauce which was really sweet not overly spicy. The chickens themselves were amazing. I loved the sticky rice filling and the chickens were cooked to perfection. Each bite had so much flavor and depth to appreciate. I will definitely be coming back. read more
Great spot for Korean street food! We got the bulgogi kimbap, tteokbokki, gim sampler, and corn cheese rotisserie chicken. All the food was good! The tteokbokki had a good sauce and was pretty spicy. The corn cheese rotisserie chicken came with a couple sides (pickled daikon, side salad) which paired well with the chicken. Wish the chicken had a little more meat to it, but the corn cheese on top was delicious! read more
We stopped here for dinner! The tteokbokki ($12) was unique - it was five pieces of PHAT rice cake. The Kimbap were $10 for happy hour. The Katsu and Bulgogi Kimbap were good and filling - the filling to rice ratio was on POINT. The interior is like a trendy K-Town bar! read more

Overall it's a cute but lil bit spendy spot. The vibe is fun with the decor and it's usually pretty busy so that adds to the fun if you can snag a table. The service was really friendly and on top of it. We were sat at the high tables and the space was really small to fit all our orders. The food was pretty good. I think the tteokbokki was good, very big and chewy. It came with 5 pieces k believe. The chicken was pretty good, and i liked the rice in it. It wasn't very spicy, more Flavorful. I will dream about this place and cry over the fact that I live over 1000 miles away. This was the first food stop of my Seattle trip and it set the bar HIGHHH. Highlight of the dinner was the CORN CHEESE ROTISSERIE CHICKEN. You have to get it, I was so sad after we ate the first one I was about to get another one. It was so yum! We also got the oden, the broth was amazing paired with the drinks. I loved how it's in a kettle as well. Everything inside just looked so cool. The teokkbokki was cooked as it should've been. Super yums. The drink were also really good! The melon manic was super sweet, could barely taste the alcohol if you wanna add more sweetener. The workers were all so sweet! Food 3.5, service 4, ambiance 3.75 - Went to Golmok with a group of friends and had a fun time. The bill was very reasonable. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the restaurant really captures the atmosphere of a Korean late-night pub. If the weather is nice and the windows are open, the experience is even better--the location on a lively street with plenty of foot traffic adds to the energy. The food was enjoyable across the board, though nothing quite reached the "must-come-back-for-this" level. The rotisserie chicken was juicy, tender, and gently cooked, but it could have used a bit more salt and seasoning. Next time, I'd probably order the spicy version instead. The Sausage & Wasabi Mayo Kimbap was well prepared and nicely balanced. We also shared the Oden, which came with four fish cake skewers in a flavorful, spicy seafood broth that was perfect for sharing. One of the more memorable dishes was the spicy chicken gizzards--they added a fun, authentic touch to the meal. They were packed with flavor, although they were just slightly overcooked. Overall, Golmok is a great spot if you're looking for a lively Korean bar atmosphere with good food, friendly service, and a fun place to spend an evening with friends. read more
My wife wanted to try this Korean-style spot, and wow... we're so glad we did! As soon as we walked up, two ladies opened the door with big smiles and welcomed us in like family. They sat us down right away and started talking to us about their food and how everything is made -- such a nice touch. OMG... the food was unbelievably delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and made with absolute perfection. Every bite felt like comfort and love. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! read more

Golmok is a Korean bar serving street food that I thought was going to be overhyped but ended up being a pleasant meal. The kimbap, tteokbokki, and tempura were average. Nothing too special but the flavors were on par with any other Korean restaurant you could go to. I liked that they added some fried slice fish cake on the tteokbokki though, and that the rice cakes were chewy. I think you would be satisfied getting any of these. The stars of the show, for me, was the mala spicy chili rotisserie chicken and the oden pot. I thought the mala spicy chicken had a good amount of mala spice (kind of numbing to me) and was also garlicky. The chicken also was not dry.The sticky rice stuffing had the mala flavor as well and was an interesting touch. I had never had a dish like this before in a restaurant. For the size of the chicken, the price is a bit much though. The fish cake soup came in a little pot which was so cute. The soup was flavorful and they gave a lot of fish cakes. The drinks were also fun and delicious! I love highballs and I was so happy to see a lychee flavored one (my favorite!). The service here could be a hit or miss. I felt that it was hard to flag someone down when you needed something. They only have tables for smaller groups. I would say 2-4 is the ideal number to go with. I think it's a fun place to try once for sure. read more

My boyfriend and I came here after the first place we went to was really busy, but it was a Friday night around happy hour. We stopped by here and we got in right before they started getting fill. The service is good when you arrive and are seated but it's extremely hard to get anyone to stop by to check in on you or just walk by as they were busy. Once we did get someone's attention, we got the tonkatsu kimbap, small oden soup, Korean toast, and dak ttonk jip. The food here is pretty good and massive! The oden soup also comes with one rice and it is some of the best rice cakes I've ever had as it feels like eating a mozzarella stick. I also appreciate that they have shicimi on the table as I put that in my soup and it just made it even better. My boyfriend loved the kimbap. The dak ttonk jip is a lot spicier than other places that I've ordered at so my boyfriend couldn't enjoy it but it was delicious. The Korean toast was fantastic but it did start to get soggy, which I really don't like soggy bread but I eat slow. My mom tells me that this place is similar to how night life in South Korea is like and she says it's great that Washington has something like that. They were playing K-pop really loudly, playing a lot of the songs that came out when I was in high school so it was nostalgic. They do have a lot of seating both tables and chairs as well as bar seating. Besides the lack of service, it is definitely worth checking out to enjoy good food, music and overall vibes. read more

I checked out Golmuk Market Bar and tried the tteokbokki ($13), twi gim (3 pieces for $11), and the tonkatsu kimbab ($13). All of them were really tasty! The tteokbokki was flavorful and spicy--super good, but if you're sensitive to heat, maybe skip it. The twi gim was solid but felt a bit pricey for just three pieces. The kimbab was the standout for me--great flavor and fair portion size for the price. I also had two highballs: Like Jennie (cranberry + vodka) and Purple Dynamite (purple gin + grape). Both were fun and refreshing. Service was okay--I felt rushed to order even though I was waiting for a friend. When my friend arrived, the server still kept pushing us even after we asked for "a few minutes" a couple of times. It wasn't terrible, just a little too much pressure. The vibe is lively, music is blasting, and the place has a cool energy. There's bar seating and a few tables, so space is limited, but overall a great spot to hang out and enjoy some solid food and drinks. read more

I'm a fan of Tteobokki and I wanted to try theirs out! The Tteobokki rice cakes were made well. It was chewy and the sauce was flavorful, however, there wasn't an option to change the level of spice and the dish was definitely too spicy for me. There were also very little fish cakes, as it only came with 3 pieces. I added cheese corn dog (extra $5) because I was curious about it, and it was a let down as well. Nothing special about the corn dog, and it was not fresh at all. The service was okay. We were seated quickly, however, after we got our food, their service was essentially non-existence unless you grabbed their attention. The food didn't take that long to make. Their menu is a bit pricey so a heads up on that. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice. A great place to hangout around capital hill, and there's indoor and outdoor dining. read more
Went on a Thursday night with a friend. Got there 15min early and got seated 5min before opening. No wait. We tried their very basic dishes (see photos) and we enjoyed them all. The crispy rice wasn't actually crispy and the pancakes were a little gooey in the middle, but all still flavorful and good. My fave was their fishcake soup. Good soup base and they had dduk, too! Probably not a good place for big groups, but 2-4 is doable. Would return! read more
After trying more of the food and drinks, I'm still left feeling that this place is just okay overall. The gimbap and tteokbokki were good, but not particularly memorable, especially considering the higher price point. Alcohol options like soju and beer are also noticeably marked up. Delicious! This spot took over Taku, which had a similar vibe to here. We arrived at around 8pm on a weekday and still had to wait around 10 minutes or so for a table, but we got to sit outside which it was the perfect weather to do so. Between the 4 of us we got the tteokkbokki, tuna mayo kimbap, and mala rotisserie chicken which was the perfect amount. The tteokkbokki is gigantic which I love, and the sauce is the perfect sweet savoriness, and leans on the spicier end. The tuna mayo kimbap was good, but nothing too standout but was even better dipped in the tteokkbokki sauce. I will say though that the chicken was the star of the show - so juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the best part was the sticky rice stuffed inside! It was so flavorful and chewy and scrumptious. For what we got, the price was also super reasonable. I'd come back for more for sure! read more

Kind and attentive staff Food overall is nothing special but is on theme to the retro/bar food and tastes good. BUT the chicken was new and something I had eaten in Korea only. Would recommend as a fun place to try with friends! We went on their opening weekend, got there 10minutes before they opened, and waited 1 hour. Just went for their first day of soft opening. Super chill vibe inside - gave me a lot of Korean pojangmacha (street food) feels back from Korea! There was a long line for the soft opening weekend so it seemed a bit hectic for them, but the food was delicious! Tteokbokki: they use thick rice cakes and I liked the sauce. This has a true old-schooled street food taste from Korea. Twigim (Korean tempura): we ordered squid, veggies, porked stuffed pepper, and seaweed rolls. We really loved the fried seaweed rolls (김말이) - I saw a lot of other Korean stores just use frozen ones from Korean grocery stores but here, I could tell they made them fresh and that's so much better! Loved the porked stuffed peppers and squid as well. All of these pieces are huge! We had to ask for a scissor to eat them more easily. Odeng pot: fish cake and rice cake sticks come in pot, which looks pretty cute. The soup was super deep and flavorful. Boochimgae (fried mungbean pancake): this is a thick Korean pancake made with kimchi and pancake. My husband really liked it. I thought it was a bit too thick and wished it was more crispy, but I think that's just a personal preference. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars yet is that the service had some mistakes, although we understand this is their first day. The Odeng and fried dishes came out way before Tteokbokki. As someone who was born and raised in Korea, I'm used to dipping the twigim in tteobokki... but we realized they had forgotten our tteobboki order so we got it much later. By then, the twigim had gotten cold. It was still tasty but would've been much better if they had come out together. They had also forgotten some toppings on tteokbokki, but they were prompt in bringing them out when we mentioned it. I think our non-Korean server had some troubles with the menu item names which were in Korean. It was a bit of a struggle to place the order. Overall, we loved the food and I'm sure things will run more smoothly over time. Probably the closest thing to authentic Korean street food in Washington! I love this concept and I've had great experiences from the owner's other ventures like Chan, Meet, and the Cheese Room. Golmok did not disappoint and we are excited to come back after their grand opening! read more

Great place to get Korean street food! Super friendly service and there was no wait at all on a Saturday evening. My favorite dish was the Kim Popp! If you don't eat too heavy and want to be perfectly full, the chicken can be split with three people and we shared the oden and kimbap together. I highly recommend and would come back! read more
Was excited to check out this new spot. It took over the old Taku space right in Pike. Went on a Thursday evening and got sat right away at a high top. The server helped go through the menu and I ended up ordering a chicken and spicy rice cake for two people. The food was great although a little hard to navigate. The music was super loud so I was shouting over kpop all evening but the vibes are good. Overall a good experience and would love to come back and try more of the menu. read more
I actually really like this place! Would rate higher if the alcoholic drinks were stronger because felt like I dropped money just to have some nicely presented juices. But, the food was good with the seasoning amount. Great type of crunch with each part of our meal that Erica and I ordered. We ate at the bar side because long line and we wanted to be seated right away. Waited 15 minutes and I think that the bar side is best if you trying to have a conversation where both of you are trying to listen to each other talk. Mostly high tables and stools, which were occupied by groups of 4 people or more. Love the dim lighting because it went well with that late night vibes. Was able to take good enough photos of the food, but not ourselves :( shoutout to our waiter for putting down with the quickness of our plate deliveries. He would walk through what each plate consisted of to ensure that he got the correct order to the customer. I forgot his name, but I want to recognize for doing a great job in his line of work. He picked up on social cues when we were trying to rush out of there because Erica and I had the cupcakke concert to attend afterwards. Tough with parking because the side street was lined up by cars, and a couple of people under the influence that made it feel unsafe to leave your car there, so had to park at the outside lots for like $10, even though we were here at the restaurant past typical business hours read more
The vibes of this place was so cute!! Food was pretty decent, but definitely on the pricier side. I felt like the service was unfortunately lacking, I felt we were being rushed to order and leave even though we were only one of two tables. I'd probably come back with a bigger party read more
The food was tasty and thought the number of options is a little smaller, the ways you can customize those options makes the menu feel bigger (ie pick your proteins or toppings). The service was friendly and speedy and we were seated right away at the bar. The format is the same as Taku was inside but the decor is updated and fresh, which gives it a nice vibe. I would definitely go back for snacks and drinks and they do have vegetarian and even vegan options. Be aware that all their gimbap seems to come with sesame seeds, even though the menu may not reflect that. read more
Im giving them 4 stars cus the staff was so nice! This wasn't what my friend and I were expecting when we stopped by here haha. We thought it was a restaurant with entrees but when we got here we realize it was bar with Korean drinking food. We were not really drinking otherwise this place would be great! Haha. We got tonkatsu kimbap and the onsen pot to start. I also ordered the matcha lemonade highball and that was really! I was curious about the tteokbokki but didn't want to order it if the sauce was sweet. One of the cooks heard me cus he gave us a piece to try. Loved the rice cake but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. We'll come back another time to hang out. The staff was too nice ! read more
I can't get over how fitting the atmosphere here is with the loud K-pop music, colorful seating and all kinds of lighting inside here both dim and bright! My friend and I got here at around 5:30pm to their nearly fully seated interior, and I can see how there's a bunch of hype here; there's not really a restaurant like this in Cap Hill. It took the place of Taku and is opposite Honeyhole and therefore around the area of Doghouse Leather (lol). The menu is filled with Korean street food staples. We each got a Korean toast for ourselves, and tuna mayo and tonkatsu kimbaps to share. This was already a lot of food, but hey it's fun to go overboard! To add to that, our server gave us a free tteokbokki on the house too. My friend and I split this one the best we could. Thoughts on the food: - Just that one tteokbokki we had was amazingly tasty! I didn't want anything spicy when I ate here, but it was just so good! It was quite spicy, though it was easy to drown it out with all the other food we got. I might just get this on another visit here! - Both our kimbaps weren't as great as I wanted them to be. It's not to say they weren't good but the rice texture was slightly off for me, like it was too hard or too soft in some spots when I ate it. There wasn't anything too special about the taste profiles on either either. I prefer the ones at Moon's Kitchen's in Federal Way for now. - The Korean toast comes with ham, egg, cheese, mayo, ketchup, cabbage and jam all smashed into some lightly toasted white bread. Bread was soggy (probably because of the butter) but everything else fitted well. It's a pretty simple dish but I like that sometimes, especially when you pair ham, egg and cheese together. That's pretty standard, but just being in here somehow elevated my taste buds for a moment. Service was also prompt and quick though it was sometimes hard to flag someone down. Our server answered questions we had on the food and gave us her recommendations, refilled our water when we needed it and also checked on us every now and then. The hallways leading to the restrooms are very stylish too, along with one lit-up sign with some profanity that I don't quite mind at all. This isn't a place I'd go out of my way for but I did enjoy my time here regardless. read more
