Tried Seoul Tofu & Jjim and I ordered the seafood tofu soup. I was a little disappointed because there was barely any seafood in it. I got maybe two pieces of clam and one piece of shrimp. For a seafood option, I expected a lot more. The broth was also pretty mild and didn't have much flavor, which was surprising. On the positive side, the service was nice and she was very attentive throughout the meal, which I appreciated. Overall, service was great but the food just didn't hit for me this time.

Went on a weekday lunch and was quickly seated; however the lighting was a bit dark inside. Very nice service and refilled bonchon, kimchi was fresh and spicy! Soondubu was flavorful!

Came here craving Korean comfort food and left really happy. The banchan (sides) were a highlight! The japchae was decent and well-balanced, and the bibimbap was solid and satisfying. The corn cheese was cozy, just wish it had a bit more salt to really make the flavors pop. Portion sizes were generous for the price, which made it feel like a great value overall.

There are a lot of Korean food options in Capitol Hill and the competition seems to be heating up! Seoul Tofu & Jjim is a worthy contender and offers a great authentic Korean food experience. I love that it is on Broadway as well! The interior is comfortable and spacious with nice lighting and good music. Bibimbap with Beef (5/5) I love bibimbap and tried so many around Seattle. The bibimbap here is served at a VERY generous portion with a nice deep fried egg on top which I really liked. The assortment of veggies and flavorful beef + the sauce makes this a very flavorful balanced dish that tastes wonderful! The rice tastes so good and cooked really well and after you mix it all, it's almost like a creamy texture. Beef Short Rib Soup (4/5) For $29 for this bowl of soup, I had high expectations and I was slightly disappointed. The soup tastes flavorful and comforting to drink and the glass noodles are a generous portion. The beef however is a bit of a let down. The quality of the beef to me doesn't match the price point and at times the beef is soft and other pieces are hard and chewy. I expected tender beef that almost melts in your mouth or so soft it falls off the bone but that didn't happen. So if you can get over that, it's a pretty decent dish. Side Dishes (5/5) Lots of side dishes that are very tasty and fresh. My favorite is the fish cake but the star of the show is the kimchi. It is SPICY and I love it! It's not acidic or sour at all and tastes so good with my rice and soup. Service is amazing, food comes out fast and they are very attentive.

This might be the first Korean restaurant I've ever been to and I was very impressed with the food and the service. The waiters were super sweet and attentive and the food was delicious. I especially loved the cucumber kimchi and potato side dishes and was very appreciative of the free refills. If all Korean restaurants are all this good I need to try more asap!

We came as a group of 5+toddler. The food was great, and the staff were really nice. In Korea, you can usually order the dalkgalbi with cheese and rice at the end. Here they don't offer it, but were kind enough to put cheese when I asked (extra $3). All the food was very good. We got stone pot bibimbap, kimchee soondubu, and japchae as well. All in all, we felt the price was very reasonable, the staff was very helpful and kind (even with our toddler running around) and we enjoyed the food. Would love to come back to try more items next time!

Pretty good Korean food! Good vegetarian options, and the place was cute. Nice for a casual dinner in Seattle

Grabbed a quick lunch here with my sisssy. She was working nearby and I needed to grab something from her. This place is very large and not what I expected when walking in. Staff was so friendly. Sam ordered bibimbap and I got the combo tofu soup. Everything came out rather quickly. My tofu soup had so much tofu lmao. It kind of disintegrated into the soup which I didn't mind but I found the soup kind of bland. The seafood that came with the soup was yummy. I reallly enjoyed the banchans. Kimchi was so flavorful and I basically ate most of the beansprout one because I thought it was so good. I never knew this was here but now I'll remember to come back to try other things. I was on Yelp looking at the other dishes that would need another person to enjoy it with so I'll drag my sister here when she's back from Hawaii hahaha. Sam said she grabs lunch here very so often so I know it's a good spot for a solid meal.

I visited Seattle in July and was craving some Korean cold noodles, so I found this place and came by with a bunch of coworkers. The restaurant is pretty unassuming so you might miss it. It's pretty close to the station, so that was convenient. The servers were great and attentive, and made suggestions for my coworkers who weren't familiar with Korean food. The banchans were typical ones and they will refill them for you if you are out. The cold noodles were a bit bland, but you can definitely taste the beef broth. Add a bit of vinegar and mustard and it tasted perfect. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food, which ranged from the japchae to the tofu soup. I personally would avoid the soup during summer since its so hot and would go for the cold noodles, but the hot soup would be so good in winter. Prices are reasonable for how much food you get.

The service here is bad-- when I came there was a female and a male server, the male server was friendly and quick but the female server never fulfilled our requests/was super slow). I came at around 2pm on a Saturday and there were a bunch (like 5-7) of open but uncleared tables. I was told by the female server that it would be a 15-20 min wait to clear a table(?) even though it ended up being 2 minutes. I ordered the tofu soup, level 2 spicy and my friend ordered the tofu soup level 1 spicy. When they came out, there was a very stark difference in the color of the soups and the female server said it was a level 3 spicy, and did not fix it. We also asked for refills on our side dishes and some plates for our sharing dishes, but she never refilled them or brought out the plates. After around 10 minutes of waiting, we asked the male server for help and he brought out the side dishes and plates right away! The food was okay -- i just wished there was more meat in the tofu soup. The galbi was a bit chewy though. There is a lot of seating in this restaurant and it is very spacious. Overall, I don't think I would come back because of the service. I think there are other korean places with better food and service in seattle.

Hell yeah that's some good comfort food! I got the veggie Soondubu (vegan friendly) and it was so pleasantly filling with the included sides that I think I managed to eat a quarter of it. The mushrooms were delicious and there was soooo much tofu! Spice level is totally adjustable if you're sensitive -- I like to start low and then throw in more kimchi to adjust to my taste :)

Walked into this tofu place at 11 a.m., and it was already open. I ordered their original tofu pot, which came with five small side dishes--all of them tasty. The server was very welcoming. Perfect for a cold day!

This is real authentic Korean food at its best! We ordered kimchi pork soft tofu, combo soft tofu, and seafood pancake. They were all phenomenal. Their banchan was super good too. Service was great. We spoke to the owner and she was lovely. Will return again with the rest of the family and order more dishes.

I went on a weekday evening and was able to walk in without a reservation and the host sat my party immediately. The space has an industrial vibe, minimal decorations and an open kitchen in the dining area with another kitchen hidden in the back. We started off with a gochujang margarita which had a little spice but the flavor of the gochujang got lost and I couldn't really distinguish it. The NY Tiki Time cocktail was a stunner, the flavors of the citrus, pandan and rum blended smoothly together. I had to take a photo when the drinks arrived. For the apps we ordered the yellowtail and octopus. The presentation really was remarkable and well plated. The yellowtail was in between layer of thinly cut turnip that had a lemon verbena component to it. It was shaped into a flower and placed on a plate in naengmyeon broth. The octopus was tender and in a delicious cream sauce with some roe as decoration. For the mains we got the squid fried rice with kimchi, bacon, smoked quail egg. We also ordered the branzino gui with seasonal vegetables. Both were well seasoned and tasty but I think I enjoyed our drinks and appetizers the most. The staff were slow and intentional with their service and no one seemed in a frantic hurry. The tone of the place was calm and none of our servers gave off an overly pretentious attitude (my biggest gripe with fine dining). Will most definitely come back as soon as possible and can't recommend enough.

I was honestly surprised because I remember waiting for a couple hours at the SF location a few years ago. Between the nine of us, we ordered a few kalbijjims and naengmyeons to share. DAEHO KALBIJJIM - 88.95 + mild +5.95 for mozzarella cheese Lots and lots of cheese, so if you're not a cheese person, I'd definitely skip the add-on. The portion was generous, but there wasn't as much kalbi as I expected. Instead, it was loaded with onions, carrots, and only about four rice cakes. That said, the kalbijjim itself was incredibly saucy and flavorful. Every bite became more addictive than the last, and I couldn't stop going back for more. MOOL NAENG MYUN - 21.95 A bit pricy for what it is, but we split it between four people as a refreshing side. It was gone within a few bites. The broth was tangy, icy cold, and refreshing, which contrasted perfectly to the rich kalbijjim. You really can't go wrong with this combination. Overall, delicious and satisfying food, but pretty expensive. It's one of the better kalbijjims I've had!

They also had some really tasty banchan that made the meal even better. It's incredibly busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. For a group of four, I'd recommend getting a Kalbijjim and a cold noodle dish to balance out the meal as the meat flavors do get pretty heavy. The Suyuk was another standout, the meat was tender, and the broth had an incredible depth of flavor. As for the cheese on the Kalbijjim, I'd say it's not necessary unless you specifically want the experience. The dish is already delicious without it. Overall, a really great meal with bold flavors, incredibly tender meat, delicious banchan, and great service. Definitely worth a visit!
