Finally got the chance to try Daeho while in the area. They had a lot of things to choose from on the menu but I knew I had to try the kalbijjim since I've heard so much about it. The dish definitely didn't disappoint. There was honestly so much in the dish you could prob split it between even more than 2 people depending on how much you're eating. You gotta add the cheese on top since it brings the whole dish together. Definitely recommend!

After a morning hike, we drove to Daeho for a much needed lunch. Despite it being noon on a Saturday, we were seated immediately without a reservation. I was honestly surprised because I remember waiting for a couple hours at the SF location a few years ago. Between the nine of us, we ordered a few kalbijjims and naengmyeons to share. DAEHO KALBIJJIM - 88.95 + mild +5.95 for mozzarella cheese Lots and lots of cheese, so if you're not a cheese person, I'd definitely skip the add-on. The portion was generous, but there wasn't as much kalbi as I expected. Instead, it was loaded with onions, carrots, and only about four rice cakes. That said, the kalbijjim itself was incredibly saucy and flavorful. Every bite became more addictive than the last, and I couldn't stop going back for more. MOOL NAENG MYUN - 21.95 A bit pricy for what it is, but we split it between four people as a refreshing side. It was gone within a few bites. The broth was tangy, icy cold, and refreshing, which contrasted perfectly to the rich kalbijjim. You really can't go wrong with this combination. Overall, delicious and satisfying food, but pretty expensive. It's one of the better kalbijjims I've had!

Made reservations for 6 people at 7p but didn't get sat until 7:45 but luckily the host, Collin was super nice and apologetic for the wait and allowed us to preorder our food so when the tables were open, the food wouldn't take too long. He explained 2 other large groups had paid their bill but didn't leave. It would've been nice and acceptable asking them politely since there were other reservations waiting. It was a chilly night and looking forward to feasting on Kalbi jjim. It was worth the wait. The banchans were pretty good too. The parking lot was spacious and easy to find.

Daeho in Bellevue was a fantastic experience! The flavors were excellent, the meat was incredibly tender, and the service was incredibly attentive. They also had some really tasty banchan that made the meal even better. It's incredibly busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time. For a group of four, I'd recommend getting a Kalbijjim and a cold noodle dish to balance out the meal as the meat flavors do get pretty heavy. The Suyuk was another standout, the meat was tender, and the broth had an incredible depth of flavor. As for the cheese on the Kalbijjim, I'd say it's not necessary unless you specifically want the experience. The dish is already delicious without it. Overall, a really great meal with bold flavors, incredibly tender meat, delicious banchan, and great service. Definitely worth a visit!

5 stars SOLELY for the Kalbi Tang. The quality of the meat is absolutely bomb. I love pho, but Kalbi Tang is a Astro up in general and here at Daeho is another step up Kalbi Tang primarily because of the meat flavor and thickness. Not a big fan of the glass noodles and still giving the dish 5 stars. The quantity of meat is also solid. This will fill you up no doubt, it better be for near $30. The rest of the food here for me is meh. Too much foo foo. The banchan is average. Service might be spotty, you have to wave people down but they are always friendly. After ordering, the food comes generally fast. Kalbi Tang!!!

Such a warm and heartwarming meal! I loved both of the dishes we shared. It was so filling and delicious. The sides tasted good as well.

We made a reservation at 6:30pm for dinner, and I'm so glad we did because the restaurant was completely packed with a line out the door!!!!! Convenient parking right in front and tons of seating inside. Great selection of banchans! I loved their radish kimchi. We ordered: 1 Kalbi teokbokki- the portion was quite smaller than I expected , but I really liked it. Just wished there was more tteok. 1 Daeho kalbijjim (mild) with added cheese and corn- this was a lot for our group of 4, we ended up taking some to go. The meat was tender, the flavoring was a little salty for my liking. 1 Daeho naengmyun- sooo yum and refreshing bites in between all the meat. The noodles were chewy and the portion was great for sharing. Great spot to eat at. Staff are quick and reservations are definitely needed unless you're willing to wait lolll.

As of writing this, Daeho is probably one of my favorite Korean restaurants in the Seattle area. I can think of one other place that I would put in the same tier as here, but if you're in the area and looking for Korean food: look no further. I visited on a weeknight, so luckily there was not a wait. I have heard that there can be pretty long lines, though so just be prepared for that. It was a bit tricky to find the restaurant, but once you're in the right vicinity, there's lots of parking. The staff here is really friendly and they're also super fast and easy to flag down if you need something. Even though it was busy, I never felt like I struggled to get anyone's attention. As all of the reviews have mentioned, the portions here are colossal, so even though it's expensive, you'll likely at least be taking home leftovers. The quality of the food was great, and I felt like everything, including the banchan was top-notch. Overall, I will be coming back to Daeho and will be sure to come with an empty stomach.

Korean kalbijjim (braised beef short rib in a pot) restaurant in south Bellevue, right next to the I-90 exit. It's at the corner of an intersection with a gas station. Has their own building and decent sized parking lot. Medium sized interior, feels pretty open. Busy for a weeknight with most tables occupied, although no wait. They give five banchan, including kimchi cabbage and raddish, and those are decent. Also water and tea at the table. For food, we ordered the Cajun kalbijjim with low spice and cheese on top. In addition we got the cold noodles, the pear and raw beef dish, and a rice with abalone and raw shrimp. The kalbijjim is pretty big and serves 3-4 people, and you get 4 bowls of white or purple rice. The Cajun style includes head-on shrimp and pieces of squid, and the pot has has carrot, radish and potato in the sauce. If you order cheese, the server comes with melt it with a blow torch, giving it a bit of char. The beef short rib is tender enough that you can easily get the meat off the bone. Sauce is thick and very savory and heavy. Having the kimchi and also cold dishes at the top helps to reset the palate. As for the seafood in the Cajun style, the shrimp is a bit overcooked but the content in the head has a lot of flavor. The squid pieces are still soft. Overall certainly a big meal. With tax and tip it was about $60 per person.

Came to Daeho Kalbijjim for the first time and honestly, it lived up to the hype. My boyfriend and I ordered the kalbijjim and the seolleongtang, and both were super rich and comforting, perfect if you're craving something hearty. The portions are HUGE, so definitely come with a group unless you want leftovers for days. What really made the experience stand out though was our server, Collin. He was seriously top notch. I really appreciated how attentive he was the entire time. My water was never empty because he was always refilling it without me even having to ask. (The kalbijjim was a lil spicy so i really appreciate the constant water refills lol) It's such a small thing, but it made the experience feel super taken care of. He checked in at the perfect times, kept our table clean, and made sure everything was running smoothly. Food was great, but the service really elevated the whole experience. Ask for Collin if you go--he'll take care of you. 10/10 customer service, plus food is fyee

When they first opened, I didn't know much about Daeho besides the fact that they were coming from California. Waited in the long lines where the parking lot was constantly full, so I had high expectations. Nice interior, decent amount of space, and clean washroom (restroom, bathroom for searchability). The kalbijjim met expectations, but the rest of the food was more basic. I'd come back and only order the kalbijiim, if not multiple, for a larger party. Since that visit, I've only managed to come back once, ordered the kalbijjim, and was still very pleased. Tender beef, though a little inconsistent with some bites being firm, but for the most part very soft. Savory and sweet sauce that's delicious with the rice. Potatoes and carrots that are soft and flavorful. Honestly, this just hits the spot.

Daeho Kalbijjim and Beef Soup is one of those places I don't often go to, but when I do dine here, it's always a great experience. It's one of those restaurants that you don't frequent because the food is so indulgent and expensive if you choose the kalbijjim, which is an absolute must! Located in the Eastgate neighborhood of Bellevue, there's a private parking lot for this restaurant, but it does get busy here. You can make a reservation online through Yelp, which is a plus. But expect a wait for larger groups because of its popularity. My partner and I always get the signature kalbijjim, and yes, we get all the add-ons, which add up on the bill, but I think it's worth it. The standard kalbijjim dish is beef with the veggies in a broth based on spice level, but the add-ons include rice cakes, oxtail, corn and cheese, which they melt at your table with a hand torch. The add-ons are worth it. In addition to the main dish, you get rice and unlimited banchan. I love the kalbijjim dish here with all the fixin's, and it's best to eat it right there and then once it's served. We've had it for leftovers, and it's alright. The experience is just so much better if you can dine in and eat all the goods soon after the cheese has melted. It's comfort food, too, with the meat, veggies and broth over a warm bowl of purple rice. I love this place.

Service was great, restaurant was fairly busy on a weeknight. There's only one thing to get here and it's the braised short rib (kalbi jjim). Some get it with cheese, some don't, the choice is yours. Either way it will come out amazing. I'd recommend sharing 1 kalbijjim between 3-4 people. Clean restaurant with family friendly restaurant vibes. Lots of families tend to come here with kids.

Rooted in a century-old heritage of authentic Lanzhou beef noodles, our craft honors the legendary five signatures: clear broth, white radish, red chili oil, green cilantro and garlic leeks, and golden hand-pulled noodles. We remain dedicated to traditional techniques--hand-pulling each portion of noodles fresh to order and slow-simmering our rich broth to perfection. In early Chinese history, wheat was not used to make noodles. When it was first introduced, the lack of widespread processing tools like stone mills meant people simply steamed or boiled whole wheat grains. Known as "wheat rice" (mai fan), it was considered a coarse, unpalatable meal for the lower class. It was during the Han Dynasty, with the widespread adoption of rotary stone mills, that humanity truly entered the "flour era." Early noodles were called "soup cakes" (tang bing) or "boiled cakes" (zhu bing), though they remained a luxury mostly reserved for the royal court and the wealthy. It wasn't until the Song Dynasty (10th-13th century) that noodles finally crossed social divides. With a booming urban economy and mature flour-milling techniques, noodle shops emerged everywhere, transforming noodles into an everyday staple for ordinary households. Ambiance: Although the restaurant has been open for many years, the interior remains stylish, bright, and spotless. The management keeps everything impeccably clean. With tables for pairs, groups of four, and larger seating for 6-8 people, it caters effortlessly to any dining setup. Taste: Offering what is arguably the most authentic Lanzhou beef noodle flavor, you can customize your noodle thickness to your liking. The broth is rich and deeply flavorful, clearly the result of hours of careful simmering. Highly recommended! Service: The service here is truly outstanding!
