God awful experience. Called ahead of time needing an alignment for my 1968 Pontiac Firebird, they said no issue, it'll be $60, bring it in. I bring the car in, and immediately they're saying my car is "not in their computer", and the oldest car they have is a 1970. I immediately point to their screen showing "1967-1969 Firebird" and they proceed to try to upsell me an additional $200. I say no thanks. Even the race shop I take my track car to only charges $120 for an alignment. There's no way I'm paying $260 to a shop that just claimed my car isn't in their computer when it was literally right in front of all of us. About 20 minutes later, they're done. I ask for the alignment printout so that I can see everything is within specification, and they give me a print-out with most all of the measurements BLANK! If you know anything about alignments, you know what you're paying for is to have all the measurements within pre-defined specs. If they don't have the measurements on your print-out, it's because they didn't do the alignment. I immediately pointed out that their print-out doesn't have the basic measurements listed, and the guy starts blaming it on his printer. Fine, just show me the measurements on the computer and I'll take a picture with my phone and be on my way. In the process of "fixing the printer", they end up re-attaching their tools to my car and doing a second alignment, to actually get things within spec! Only after the second alignment did the printer start magically working again. Even then, not all measurements were in spec-- they said I'd have to pay an additional $200 for that. No thanks, I'll just pay someone else to do it properly. Avoid this shop. At all costs. read more

I wish I could give zero stars to this business. I bought 4 used tires recommended by the owner. I trusted them saying they were good tires. I was traveling and two days later the car was shaking whilst driving. I went to a shop they said the tires were bad and needing replacing. So I had to get 4 new tires. What a waste. I called Gomez immediately and they refused to refund any of the money. I understand needing to keep some of the money for labor. But seriously giving me a bad product and having to pay again for something else that they didn't take care of is ridiculous. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! read more

On the gas station in Gilroy on my way from Hollister to San Jose, I noticed that I caught a screw in my rear passenger side tire. I called a few tire shops around and this shop offered to patch my tire without a long wait. So I stopped by and Victor and Javier took care of the problem in under 15 minutes at the reasonable price. Off I was on the road again on my way to San Jose in no time. I was in a pickle with my wife picking up a sidewall nail on our Minivan. I called and asked all around for some used tires, Camacho in Hollister(whom I have purchased from many, many times in the past), Calderon, (whom I have used once), and San Martin Tire, (a company I use for both personal and business purchases). I did not get what I considered was fair pricing...and some confusion about the tires they had on hand. I showed up in person to both places and they actually changed their offerings and pricing once I was there in person. I called Gomez Tires and within 5 minutes had a great price and within the hour, they were installed. They will be given my business in the future...they earned it. Thanks Guys! read more

I just came from this place. It had a nice big sign and was super easy to find. There was no wait. I was able to pull right in. I needed a new tire since one of them had a nail in it. I just needed the one quick fix since I'm taking a road trip this weekend. They were welcoming and walked outside to greet me. I explained my situation and they were quick to find a very good looking used tire. They were informative on the condition of my other tires but did not pressure me to buy anything else. Even more, they topped off all of my tires with air. I felt, in this visit, the staff was genuinely courteous. And super fast, did mention that already? I brought in 2 new tires of my own to be mounted and balanced they charged me 45 dollars and thew my old tires in my trunk without my knowledge or permission. i talked them down from 50 dollars initially. most tire places charge around ten dollars for mount and ballance. never go there again. i work at the biggest auto parts store in monterey county trust me ill spread the word. read more
