Good amount of seating for a smaller tea shop. We opted for 3 of their top 10 drinks (you can find them on the back of the menu). We had a mango one and Thai tea (I forget the third). We also had a couple of their snacks - popcorn chicken and golden balls. We are simple tea drinkers who enjoy the flavors of teas so when I ordered the straight green tea with no add ons I wasn't disappointed in its authentic flavors. Great base tea for other drinks. The other drink ordered was the winter melon tea. This drink was weak in flavor but was refreshing. Outdoor seating is a plus and staff was helpful in placing our order. Nonetheless, I'm a complete sucker for a well steeped cup of tea so I decided to take the BFF here when the place we usually frequent couldn't accommodate us. I can only speak on the sparkling passion fruit I ordered during this initial visit. The drink was bubbly & fruity. A little too sweet for my taste even after I requested only half the syrup amount be used. It was still refreshing and enjoyable to drink. It came with boba & jelly which automatically makes this dessert in cup form. My drink of choice probably isn't the most popular. Though, for me, it did hit the spot because of my affinity for sparkling mineral water. If that's not your thing, than I'm sure another beverage from their vast selection may entice you. Gong Cha is one of my favorite boba chains! I've tried it in Seoul and Vancouver before and absolutely loved it. They have many shops worldwide and they have never disappointed me. I used to to go to the ktown and Buena Park location often but the Cerritos location is actually a lot closer to me. I usually order from the milk foam series - I love the milk foam green tea and winter melon tea the best. Make sure you get the sweetness level at 50%. Anything above that is super sweet! The milk foam is super creamy. I came here on a Friday night. It wasn't too crowded. The service was great and we got the drinks super fast! My drink was made well - not too sweet! The plaza they are located in has plenty of parking. The businesses nearby don't seem to be open very late so there are many empty parking spaces. read more

Earl Grey Milk Tea with 3J is marked as one of the popular drinks on their menu. It comes with boba (pearls), pudding, and herbal jelly. I'm not a fan of the hot Earl Grey tea that I've brewed from a tea bag but asked for a sample of their Earl Grey milk tea. The sample was warm and didn't contain any sugar. I actually liked the flavor and ordered it 50% sweet and 50% ice. It tasted just right. I liked the herbal jelly for that feeling of something healthy. The shop is small and cute. I've been wanting to try Gong Cha but never went here since ShareTea is right across. However, there's never a long line here. My cousin and I decided to get Wintermelon Fresh Milk w/ Boba. I'm picky when it comes to how my drink taste. I like how the sweetness level can be adjusted. With this drink, it had the right amount of sweetness but I tasted the Fresh Milk more than the wintermelon. If the wintermelon flavor came out stronger than I would have given an extra star. The Service: super friendly, super knowledgeable, and just plain kind people. The Drinks: the menu is extensive and customizable to some extent, so I tried the Earl Grey milk tea with 3J, because I'd read about it on someone else's Yelp review. The drink was fast, fresh, and good. While the tea wasn't as strong as I prefer, it was still addictively good, and the pudding, herbal jelly, and boba made it a treat. In fact, I enjoyed the experience so much, I went back the next day with my oldest. Glad I did. The shop was hopping busy, but the service didn't lose stride. I tried the lemon juice with ai-yu and white pearls.... holy petunias, it was lemony and sweet without being cloying, and insanely refreshing. During this time of quarantine my favorite boba shop would have to be Gong Cha. They have a great system in place. You either call in your order or order online (of course, I order through the Yelp app). Then they leave out your order on tables outside their shop. The only downside is they have been getting super busy as the weather gets hotter. I ordered on the Yelp (partnered with GrubHub) and the pick-up time was set for an hour or so later. I thought it had to be inaccurate so when I got to the shop, I literally had to wait that amount of time. Therefore, the estimated ready time is pretty spot on. I love that you can customize your drinks from the amount of sugar to ice. They also have a great menu that's no too overwhelming like some places. My favorite drinks are: -Milk Foam Tea (green tea) -Earl Grey Mill Tea w 3J -Taro Milk Te -Brown Sugar Milk Tea -Wintermelon Milk Tea Plus, they have so many other tips I want to try! The girl working (she seemed like a shift lead possibly- or just always a bossy bitch) was honestly the rudest person I have probably ever encountered. I walked in and she instantly had a snarky aura so I knew to put on my happy face. I then proceed to tell her that I placed an order online and I asked to use the restroom. I knew the restroom was functioning and in use. I saw a staff member leave the bathroom as I walked in. After asking if I could please use the restroom because it was an emergency ( I drove 40 minutes from DTLA) she replied in the most condescending disrespectful and almost sarcastic way with a smirk "oh the restrooms aren't open to the public". Alright, so I drive over half an hour and purchase several items off your menu just to see multiple employees go in and out of the restroom but you refuse to let me use it because "it is not open to the public". I won't be returning. Honestly this woman should not be working the front lines of any business that involves customer service. Instantly made several people feel really uncomfortable with her nasty sarcastic tone. If she is the owner of the branch then I understand kind of why she carries such a snarky and blunt demeanor but Jesus way to lose customers and therefor lose business.
