Interiors are a bit utilitarian and spartan for my tastes as I prefer a space that is more warm and welcoming. The exterior mural on the side of the building did give the place a bit more character. Many of the drinks only come in one 12 ounce size, so might not be the place if you prefer larger drinks. The mocha latte I ordered was a bit bitter and not excessively sweet, but otherwise strong. Service was a bit on the slow side, but they were experiencing a bit of a morning rush, so I won't hold it against them. While it's not a place I'd venture out of my way to visit again, Backyard Beans Coffee Company seems to be a solid coffee spot for locals and offer an ample menu of food items for those seeking something to eat.

I'm late to the party as they opened about 1.5 years ago and we finally got there. We got there at noon and the fresh breads were gone but the fresh cinnamon buns were just coming out of the oven! I'd try anything but we had the bowl of chili and the monte cristo. Both were excellent with a kick in the chili and fresh brioche used in the hot sandwich. A couple months ago they were advertising house made lemonade on a specific day. I show them the post, and they say they don't sell lemonade and they weren't sure why the owner posted the video, even though my video says otherwise. They also advertise smash burgers on Sundays, but when I show up, they have every excuse imaginable for not having them. I've tried to order sticky buns, which they only have available on the weekends, but they'll have every excuse imaginable for not having them on Saturdays or Sundays. Overall, the business is clearly poorly managed. Don't waste your time visiting unless you're expecting to be disappointed.

I literally jumped up and tried to find him outdoors but just like that, he was gone. I just want to say thank you to the gentleman and waitstaff. Apparently, he's done that multiple times and aside from leaving a good tip and paying it forward, a great review is the least I can do. Thanks!
