It is always fun to wander around Edens in search of new places to try. This day, after lunch, we went in search of dessert and found a great selection of mochi donuts and cold drinks at Gong Cha. Some of the ones we tried included the black sesame, mango, coffee, matcha, Oreo and chocolate - not all at once For drinks we chose the passion fruit smoothie which had a lot of flavor once it melted a bit and the danger of mega brain freeze had passed and the milk foam Vietnamese iced coffee. I would have liked a little stronger of a coffee taste but it was still good. The staff was very patient as we gazed at the posters depicting their most popular offerings and tried to choose. The products are pretty pricey for what they are so the concept of value is kinda lost. There are so many bubble tea options in Eden center but Gong cha has some unique offerings. They are higher priced than fellow options such as TeaDM but I do like some of their flavors better, especially for milk teas. Plus the first time you order from the app, it's 50% off so that's a good deal. My favorite teas are the Strawberry Taro, strawberry matcha latte, and dirty brown sugar tea with pearl. The strawberry matcha latte has strawberry pearls inside already but I usually add in boba or more jelly. Their fruit teas are decent too but I prefer Mr Wish for fruit teas since they use fresh fruit. If you are in the mood for a milk tea, Gong cha has some great options, just be prepared to pay a slight premium price-wise. read more

9/2/23 Today is Eden Garden Celebration. Today we see this store for the first time. Today my wife is trying a Honeydew Smoothie. Today I would have tried a Oreo Mochi. Donut, but they were $4.00 each. Today, I was let down gently...water under the bridge. The kiosk machines have really taken off at a number of businesses. The order machine takes away the ability to have a face to face experience with a human being. The staff doesn't look happy. The staff does seem to be in a good. This gives the staff more time to apparently make more drink, food or both. The drink my wife aquired had her talking about the place for a while. I am sure she will be back for another drink very soon. I might try this place out the next time we or I am here. I might try something good here. There is plenty of Asian food nearby that pairs well with boba! You could order: 1. At the cashier 2. On their self-order tech stand 3. Via their mobile app I ended ordering via their mobile app to keep track of what I ordered, when it will be ready, and to obtain "return visit" points. Their ordering system is super convenient, and I could bypass the cashier line! I ordered their milk foam lychee rose latte with rose pearls with 50% sweetness and no ice.
