I love Java Loco's other locations so even though I actually entered the parking lot for Starbucks, I redirected and I'm glad that I did. The interior is super cute, with wicker furniture and hanging plants. I love that it's a coffee shop that offers Boba. Their coffee itself is 4/5, but I sort of feel that about Starbucks too. The woman behind the counter was super nice.

Worst ever burnt coffee ( that too early in the morning). The Avocado toast had no avocado on it - a very thin layer of green paste which wasn't tast avocado. They refused the coffee refill/ even after we had bought the refill.

Java Loco seemed very laidback and quiet when I dropped by around 1700 on a Tuesday afternoon. There weren't too many customers so it was fairly quiet. They have several tables and barstools/table inside with optional outside seating as well. It was a really hot afternoon, so the lack of many customers was much wanted! I ordered the Golden Dream fruit tea with light ice (unfortunately, the sweetness couldn't be customized!). I also had a chocolate cigar Danish. I asked if they made their pasties in-house. They informed me they were not, but they are local. I didn't get the name of the bakery though. I quite liked the chocolate Danish. The drink was pretty good, but was just a tad bit too sweet for my taste. I really like the ambiance in there and would not hesitate to go back and try some of their other offerings.

The service was great, Vietnamese coffee was so tasty. Air conditioned, and they had outlets for you to charge your mobile devices which is becoming a luxury because more and more coffee shops in the DMV are not having the electric outlets accessible for people to charge their devices. I usually go to another location, 1st visit here and the service and atmosphere is great just like the other one. Kudos to the owner that owns this shop.

Came here for an after work treat. Ordered the brown sugar milky way with boba. The flavor was great. This location has trendy decor and is clean. Employees were nice. The medium so about 12oz was $7 which I found to be quite high. Otherwise no complaints! Their menu of coffee and boba tea is vast.

First time at this coffee shop we just randomly stopped in. We ordered an Iced mocha, Vietnamese iced coffee and a coffee smoothy. All three were great! It was super cute inside this coffee shop. It would we a great place to hangout with friends or work. They also have a few games you can play. Service was nice and friendly.

Java Loco is a great little café in a very convenient shopping center! They have coffee as well as hot sandwiches and pastries. I tried the hot Vietnamese coffee as well as a the iced version with sea salt foam, both were very good but very sweet. I think I preferred the cold version, especially with the salty foam. The sticky roll/cinnamon bun was great and very sticky, the coffee cake topping was sweet but not overpowering or too dry. The café is cozy with lots of natural light!

I recently came here for the first time and I already love this coffee shop! They have a very diverse selection of drinks from Vietnamese iced coffee to horchata latte to Irish cream latte and much more... and of course, bubble tea! The atmosphere is just so cute and cozy and modern and clean. Very good place to read a book, work, play with your phone or laptop, meet a friend, etc. Only downside is that the drinks are a bit expensive and I did not see a recycling bin inside (just a trash bin), but other than that, all else was great...

Not impress with my bobba drink and the honey bobba was soggy honey bubble tea tasted like a melon.

First things first, parking. The stores have a parking garage that requires you to pay within 15-20 minutes I believe. I met a friend at another restaurant that validated but even if they didn't. Prices were pretty reasonable. When I first entered, the place was bright, clean, pretty immaculate. Everyone was either working or conversing with friends at various tables. In line with a cafe vibe. It was my first time there so I wasn't aware that you can simply order at the kiosks by the entrance. But the server was very friendly and was happy to provide input on the menu. But since I wanted to peruse the menu a bit more, I figured the kiosk was the best way to check out other items on the menu besides the sandwich that I knew I wanted. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the bulgogi egg sandwich to go. The sandwich was flavorful, the eggs were fluffy, the bread was soft and the sauce brought everything together. I could see why it was one of their best selling items. The hibiscus lemonade was delicious as well, though I'm interested in trying other drinks on the menu such as their smoothies. All in all I would definitely return and probably end up getting the same sandwich.

I've never seen a deli spot that matches the vibes (thick & delicious) of a NYC deli. This place reminded me of the famous Katz Deli in NYC. The bar seating was first come first serve. We actually met the owner Will!!! I feel like he provides more customer service than our waitress. Will is a dope guy and seems down to earth. As stated though, they were busy so I'm sure she was having a hard time keeping up. Delivery review ahead!…read more I have not yet visited this place in person so I'm unsure how it is inside and how the service is. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

While a scramble sounds simple on paper, it is easy to overcook the vegetables. This one was executed perfectly, with every vegetable done just right. The latte arrived with a nice touch--a small side cookie and a club soda to cleanse the palate, which shows a level of intentionality you don't always find. We were told we could sit at the bar or outside, but when we asked for one of the open tables, we were denied because they were "reserved for parties of three." That just doesn't make sense. We're still paying customers, ready to order food and drinks. Denying service like that--especially with empty tables in plain sight--feels unnecessary and rigid. I even asked twice, hoping for a little flexibility, but the answer didn't change. I work in the service industry, and this is exactly the kind of situation where you make an exception or use some common sense. Instead, it felt like policy over hospitality. Really disappointing experience for a place I was excited to try.

I placed an online order on the evening of 4/21 for my usual -- a Giant #3 with extra meat -- and arrived a few minutes early, which gave me a clear view of the whole process. What I saw was disappointing. The bread was cut incorrectly -- not lengthwise down the center but more like one-third on the bottom and two-thirds on top. That kind of cut doesn't hold up, and by the time the oil was added, the thin bottom half was already soggy. I also don't believe I received the extra meat I paid for. The toppings were applied carelessly -- lettuce scattered across the counter, and the oil and vinegar were poured so haphazardly that the wrapping paper was soaked through before they even got to cutting the sandwich. I'm not writing this to be harsh. I'm writing it because I've always admired this location and would hate to see it slip into the kind of mediocrity that has hurt other spots in the chain. It was clear to anyone watching that neither of these two employees had much investment in the product they were putting in front of the customer. I hope management takes note -- this place is worth caring about.

I paid at the register and went to get a drink from the fountain. When I turned around, I didn't see my sandwich. I waited a few seconds then asked where my sandwich was. The lady who rang me up looked around cluelessly, like some sort of magic trick was performed. The guy whose only job was to wrap sandwiches said nothing with a weird smile on his face. The guy who made my sandwich, I know he made it, I saw him do it... was confused because he certainly handed off the sandwich down the line. I could barely understand the cashier say they'd make me another one. How does a sandwich just vanish? Coulda been them putting my sandwich in one of the to-go bags, coulda been a random overzealous customer, but it was literally seconds, and it was gone. Anyway. Sandwich: This is the worst experience I've had with this chain, so location makes a difference. Now that I am thinking about it, I may have gone here once before and wondered what the hype was all about... having had it in Maine, it's a world of difference. Tasted like older product, and bummed that it was way below par here. Wanted something quick, easy, and familiar, but there are many other lunch options around.
