Gong Cha is a staple for me. So far, the best boba I've found in Dallas thus far. I've been to quite a few places and have been disappointed (even tried the Gong Cha in Richardson, but the tapioca was slightly hard on the outside) so I stick to what's tried and true. I'm a little boring in that I always order the same drink- dirty brown sugar milk tea with boba 30% sweet and less ice. The brown sugar is super sweet so anything above that is too sweet for me. The boba is perfectly cooked so it is soft but chewy throughout. Service is quick so you are in and out. Space is always very clean. I'm so happy there's a Gong Cha closer to home! It's off Warren Pkwy away from 99 Ranch and 85 Degrees Bakery but still close enough to them. This location is really clean and bright. My girlfriend and I were craving boba so we decided to check out this Gong Cha. As soon as we started talking to the cashier, it was very clear that she wasn't well trained on any of the drinks or it was one of her first shifts. We had to change our order multiple times as they kept telling us that they were out of ingredients after we already ordered. Telling us in the beginning would've been the intelligent thing to do. We decided to go with the strawberry series and when we got rung up for two drinks, it was $14. $14 for two drinks! (Price not listed on menu) The icing on the cake was that we specifically asked for "less ice" multiple times and still ended up with a half cup full of ice. When we tried to return, they had locked the shop up; earlier then closing hours I assume as it was only 7. I attached a few pictures to let others determine if this was less ice or not. I guess repeating "less ice" several times doesn't guarantee less ice. There wasn't much boba either as you may be able to tell from the picture. Now as a disclaimer, we usually enjoy Gong Cha! However, this location seems to fall short of expectations. I guess there's a reason that this specific location has a worse rating than all of their other DFW locations. We definitely will not be back to this location as there are much better options next door. I encourage everyone to check out Seven Leaves and Kung Fu Tea as alternatives if you're craving boba in the area. read more

Spent $11 plus tip only for them to mess up my order. I got two dirty boba milk teas, one large and one medium. THAT'S IT. KEEP THIS IN MIND. IT'S A SIMPLE ORDER.. Beginning: there were only two workers, one who seemed like the manager and the other a girl who probably just started to work. The girl took my order but didn't seem to understand how to work the register. She seemed distressed and turned to her manager for help. That's normal for newbies so I let that slide. Wait time: It seems as if the manager himself was a newbie because the wait was ridiculously long. There were a decent amont of ppl there but it should never take 40 minutes for a drink to come out. I was waiting where the drink making process was not visible, but I could tell that the new girl did not help at all, but rather stand around. The store had no music so it was silent followed by occasional echoes of blenders and ice. If you're going to train your workers, at least give them a hands on experience or talk to them about the process. It's already bad enough my drink is taking long in this silent aura... Final: When I got my drinks in the end, it was clear that they were not the same. The medium one had the brown sugar lines all around the cup with milk foam at the top (correct), and the large one ONLY had milk tea and boba (incorrect). Why were they not the same?? I asked the new girl who gave me it and she stared at it for some time. After that long stare, she goes "oh it's because one of them had been sitting for too long." Does she think I'm stupid?? I really paid +$11 and waited 40 minutes just to get my order wrong. It wasn't even hard??? My sister who received the medium drink also asked me why they were noticeably different. Taste: In the end, I just didn't say anything because I was shocked at the new girl's ridiculous response; I just left. I tasted both the medium and large and confirmed that they were both different for sure. One was way sweeter than the other and the correct one definitely had a stronger flavor to it. There was virtually no line, so it didn't take too long to get the drinks. Ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea with 50% sugar with added pearls (I would recommend 30% or 50% sugar if you don't like things too sweet as this drink was on the sweet side). The pearls were not as soft and chewy as some other places but they were still pretty good. All in all, the baristas were relatively quick, and I had a good customer service experience. First of all, they have a $5 minimum for card which I have not seen at the other locations which either forces you to upgrade to a large, purchase toppings or buy a second drink. Secondly, they are slow. So. So. So. Slow. Both times I have gone there, they weren't super busy but it took at least 20-30 minutes to get one drink out. I stood there and waited for 20 minutes to get one drink yet no one there was making drinks... After 20 minutes of waiting, they told me that I can't have the tea I ordered and to order a different tea. ... Why'd it take 20 minutes to tell me that I couldn't have the tea I ordered and not tell me that when I was paying??? Worst Gong Cha location. I'll go to the others. read more
