Pretty good! They offer a decent selection of drinks and toppings. We haven't come here in a while and are glad to see that the quality remains the same. We adjusted the sweetness level of our drinks at what was recommended, but it was still too sweet for us so we'll probably adjust it even lower next time. * QQ Passionfruit Green Tea: 8/10 - good but quite sweet * Longan Honey Drink: 8/10 - nice longan flavor * Pearl (Topping): 6/10 - not very chewy The workers were nice and we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. The shop is cute and they have a decent amount of seating. Be sure to stop by if you're in the area!

Gong Cha has been on my list of places to try. I'm so glad I did. Tucked in a strip mall, there's plenty of parking around. The interior is nicely decorated. There are plenty of seats inside and out. This is more of a to go place though. When we arrived there were people ahead of us. Since it's later in the night, there was only one staff member. He was pleasant and efficient. My tea was good. It was strong enough. My daughter got the pumpkin brulee in a snowman tumbler. How cute!! It wasn't that much more to add it either.

The workers today were super friendly and helpful. The guy that helped me order my drink was very helpful with suggestions and I genuinely enjoyed my drink this time. We came in for the Peanuts cups/keychains, they charge $6 extra for the cup on top of the drink so after tip, I ended up paying nearly $60 for 4 drinks, but it was worth it because I magically got each different character keychain! Go soon because it's only while supplies last and it's so popular and they are running out quick!

It was my first time tonight visiting Gong Cha. I used an app called To Good To Go (for the first time tonight) which sells discounted items that otherwise would be thrown away. It was two firsts for me in one night lol. The app said to be there from 8:30-9:00 pm. Even though I live less that ten minutes away, time got away from me and I called about 10 minutes before close, but the young manager (I assume) was very patient and friendly. I explained the situation to him and he kept the door open Neil the last minute. The store was clean and modern looking. The drinks were refreshing, but I liked the milk tea a bit better than the iced tea drink. I will be back.

1.31.2023 UPDATE! So I stopped by the Mira Mesa location yesterday to compare receipts with this Menifee location. Turns out they do NOT add sales tax or a "service charge" to your purchase!! Maybe it's a franchise thing, idk, but the proof is in the pudding. I posted receipts for the respective locations. Now you know!!! Smh! I have been here a few times since they opened. At first, it was great. Drinks were good, they make them quickly and the last time I went in, they fixed mine twice because it wasn't what I ordered. They finally got it right, and it tasted the way it was supposed to. Employee are always nice, too. I do find it odd that I've never seen any women working here. The owner is a woman, though, lol. Find them between Michi's Tacos and H&R Block in the Ross Shopping Center. My last visit was on November 18, 2022. It's only been 2 months. At that time, I noticed the receipt had an added "Service Charge." It was 3% back then, and the tax rate was 8.75% just as it is everywhere else. I went in last night and got 2 drinks. The "Service Charge" went down by 6%, and I noticed the tax rate went up to 9.75%!!! Uhhh... I just Googled that, and nowhere did I see the tax rate currently listed as 9.75% in California or Riverside County for that matter!! Just seems sketch...you feel me?! I would hate to think this location is nickel and diming, but I just checked my receipt from another local place I had lunch at today. Tax rate on that receipt is still 8.75%. Maybe they think people won't notice, but I for one surely noticed. Apparently, I'm not the only one, either. There are 3 other boba shops in the area (Sharetea, Monsta Snow Too, and the newest to join the bunch, R&B Tea), in case you aren't aware. Definitely not cool in my book, but as a trusted Elite, I feel the need to share this information. Everything is already expensive, so yeah... I may not return here again. I might check another location to see if they do the same thing. I'll update this review and let you know. You've been warned. You're welcome.

We came on a Friday night to get a quick drink before heading home. I got the honey longan tea and husband tried the Earl grey tea with cheese foam top. The service we received from the 2 staff that was working there were great. They were friendly and ensure that we received our drinks quickly, We enjoyed the drink on site since they open seats, The atmosphere is very casual and cozy. I think it was a slow night for them. Hopefully business picks up soon for Gong Cha!

Still enjoy coming here! One of my fav boba spots. I love all the guys who work here. Sebastian and Sean were here today. They are also super friendly and helpful. Also they make my drinks taste so good! I typically rotate between the brown sugar milk tea or their taro milk tea. Those are my two favorites. Also their peach seasonal teas are also delicious.

Natural brown sugar sweetener. Request not too sweet, extra boba and add oolong tea.

We drink a lot of boba and have tried a ton of places. I'm not sure what the hype is on social media. It was okay. We have been here twice tried a variety of drinks and still not impressed. This specific location does not allow you to use the bathroom. Customer service was okay. I'm not sure one of the kids really knew what he was doing. read more

Second visit. Earl Grey w/ 3J (3 "jellies" of milk pudding, grass hell and boba). Half sweet half ice. Delicious and refreshing on a 95*F day. Wife had Creme Brulee Milk tea w/ boba. Half sweet and half ice. She was very pleased with it as well. This is giving me hard breakup vibes with my beloved Ding Tea... Service was great again! Still amazed at how a relatively higher end boba franchise popped up in Menifee of all places. But very glad. read more

Just got my first drink here and will never come back. Why do you charge me a service charge of 9% = $.56. I tipped $1.00. Total cost of drink plus tip is $8.36. I don't get it. Ordered a panda milk tea and had 70% sweetness and it's still very sweet. Texture of boba is crap. My son loves boba drinks but will not do business with you again. As someone who has grown up in the area I think about how far we've come in terms of food/restaurant diversity - a few years ago we didn't have two bobs shops to rub together and now we have a Gong Cha, a Sharetea, and a plethora of chain and local spots. ~the service (5/5)~ The employees were quite nice and the interior was decorated nicely. It's a very small establishment and cozy with a few tables but I don't see it being a great venue for a bigger group. I will note a point of disappointment was that the bathroom is for employees only- for a tea shop I find that a bit strange. ~the boba (5/5)~ I got a passionfruit green tea with white boba, and my friend got a wintermelon fresh milk tea. I was happy to find that the passionfruit flavoring was with a pulp (I love cronchy seeds!) instead of just a syrup. Additionally the white boba texture was p e r f e c t ~ The wintermelon was pretty good - solid for what it is. read more

So glad that another boba shop opened in Menifee! We've been going to Sharetea but am glad to have more options in the area. Came for the opening with the BOGO offer. Drinks were great and staff still learning but will be frequent customers. Shop is a bit small though. Not a lot of seating. read more

I've been going to get my boba drinks in Temecula because I never really found a place in Menifee that I liked. I saw Gong Cha open in the neighborhood recently and thought I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea boba with double boba and it was excellent!! And the prices were great also. The inside was very clean and quiet. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for sure!! Now I don't have to travel far for my boba drinks and I can support a local Menifee business. read more

The boba wasn't consistent as some pieces were solid while other pieces were chewy. The drinks were standard tasting but the lychee oolong tea was very sweat at regular sweetness. They don't take cash and they charge you a service fee alongside tax when you go in person. Might as well make the prices more expensive if you're charging service. This is the first boba place I've been to that charges a service fee. I recommend looking elsewhere as the price of the drinks and the service fee aren't worth paying for subpar boba. read more

The worst Taro I've ever had. I found out about the place on an app and decided to try it out. I ended up ordering more drinks than I had expected and was disappointed with all of them. Worst Taro I've ever had and the brown sugar boba wasn't sweet at all. Not sure how they're w still in business but it they want to stay in business they should hire people who know how to make drinks! Don't go here for boba. I got one of their specialty drinks and it wasn't the greatest but it wasn't bad. I was expecting more sweeter (yes I stirred the brown sugar on the bottom) and less icy. There was so much chunks of ice in the drink! What milkshake has ice in their drink? Not only they my boba was ON TOP. How could they forget the boba when I asked for it? For all the boba lovers, I know this is a pet peeve! Another major issue that caught my eye is the REQUIRED service charge? What the heck? I've never been to a place that charges service charge? Why would I want to pay extra service charge for them messing up my drink? So BEWARE of their service charge. It's funny how they don't anything and just charge you so they can get tipped. Ordered a tarp smoothie and it tasted so watery. They were out of boba pearls so I opted for pudding. The pudding had a weird texture. Some pieces were smooth and some were hard and sand paper like. THE TARO MILK TEA IS SO GOOD IM BOUTA BECOME A REGULAR.. Definitely NOT THE LOOK. Where to start...the cashier took 10 minutes to ring up ONE customer because he didn't know how to work the system. Took 30 minutes for a drink even though it was just me and the one person in front of me that only ordered 2 drinks. Ordered a large and they served it in a small! When I brought it to their attention they poured it into a large cup and went to scoop a whole scoop of ice into it! 75 cents extra for large and you are paying just for extra ice! SCAM! Cherry on top was the drink was already made in a container I saw them pull from a fridge so I don't know why it took so long to make. Who knows how long it was sitting because it definitely wasn't mixed and very chalky like it was hours old. Super gross! Oh did I mention that on top on the normal 8.75 tax they add on a service charge??? When did this become a thing. No other boba shop does this and they still have the nerve to ask for more tip at checkout! WASTE OF MONEY! What a let down. I will stick to the other THREE boba shops in Menifee. Go to the chain boba shop 2 minutes across the bridge for some QUALITY drinks! read more

Don't order the Thai iced tea here! It is definitely not their specialty drink. I really wanted to give this place a try but every time I come here for a simple drink, it never tastes right. Found this place out in Menifee and wanted to try it out. Got 2 Pearl Mike Tea. No line since this place is new and not a lot of people know about this place. The milk tea was definitely delicious. I went around 2pm on the grand opening day, it was not very busy. I ordered a Passionfruit green tea and a brown sugar milk tea, both were wonderful i finished it before i got home haha. The shop itself is a little tight, but there is outdoor seating too! When i got there i noticed it was very warm inside, not sure if they have ac issues.The staff was doing great, they had great customer service and i would say they are trying their best, so please be patient as it is all new to them too! ((: I would come here again as they have different options compared to Sharetea. read more

A decent boba spot in the area!!! Been looking for a good boba spot since moving here, and Gong Cha was my fave back home. If you love boba, sometimes they run out toward the end of the day so calling in to make sure they have boba is good. Saves you from disappointment. Lol But with or without boba this is my fave spot we have here. The employees are nice and they get your drinks out pretty quick. read more

It's insane to have a restroom right there with a sign that says restroom and underneath it have employees only. Might as well just take off the restroom sign. The guy at the counter was nice and I'm sure not his fault but that is just crazy to me. Boba is average. read more

I normally love it here! but today I came in for my regular the matcha green tea, but it was tasting very chalky it wasn't even drinkable, soo the guy tried to remake it for me but it didn't taste any better, I was very calm about it & asked to just get a different drink but there was a gentleman just sitting around in the back that told him no, which I didn't understand because I paid for it. so I politely asked for my money back which they gave me a hard time about... you guys need to work on your customer service! I'm literally a regular & I normally tip the nice guys that work there! but it looks like new people were hired. Also they told me that I wasn't the only one that complained about the matcha tasting off today... so idk why was given a hard time but get the customer service together because that was disrespectful. read more

Established in 2022.

Established in Taiwan in 1996 by two good friends, Huang and Wu, Gong cha was unique in offering personalized service with premium teas in a variety of innovative and delicious recipes. Gong cha became loved by its customers and news of the company quickly spread by word of mouth. Its quality products grew increasingly popular, and in 2006, Huang and Wu established the Gong cha brand and opened the first Gong cha brand store in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Gong cha has since become one of the best-known providers of quality teas and has blossomed around the world. Gong cha Menifee opened on October 07th, 2022.

Gong Cha - a hit or miss cozy boba shop next to Michi Tacos! The first chapter unfolded with Taro Milk Tea at light sweetness, or so I expected. Did the cashier misinterpret my order, perhaps hearing 'lots of sweetness' instead? It felt like a sugar avalanche - an experience almost too overwhelming to bear. Sweetness overload alert! Embarking on Chapter Two, I opted for brown sugar milk tea with light sweetness and a milk foam hat, guided by a helpful employee's suggestion. Surprisingly, it hit the Asian 'not too sweet' sweet spot that I thoroughly enjoyed! However, a boba shortage during ordering was a plot twist I didn't anticipate. All in all, the second visit proved more enjoyable, thanks to the flavors and helpfulness of the employees. Gong Cha experienced its sweet redemption! In the grand scheme of things, I'm just thrilled to witness more boba spots bubbling up in the area! read more
