The decor inside is super cute and quirky, with things like anime figurines and labubus decorations just for fun. Our order was fast and efficient, and the drinks were delicious as always. One thing to note is that parking is limited, so you might need to park across the street if the front spots are full. I've been to other gong chas so I was delighted to stop by on my way home. There is ample parking since it's within a large plaza. Located right next to the 215, this place is wedged between a taco place and another store. The outside was busy with people eating tacos and more. Yet, the inside only had two customers. It was cutely decorated and clean. They have two kiosks you can order from or you can order with the cashier. They had a promotion going on to advertise neopets. You could get a sticker or an acrylic charm if you ordered their drinks. We ordered a milk tea and their mango tea, which was part of the promotion. We got a cute acrylic charm and then we proceeded to head back to our car. The milk tea was sweet and so was the mango tea. The downfall was the boba; it was tasteless and had a variation of sizes and consistency. Now, if I only wanted tea, this place would hit the spot. Yet, for boba, it wasn't made correctly or else it would be random sizes. I need to learn not to grab something convenient and I would rather go out of my way to get decent boba. She ordered the Brown Sugar Milk Tea drink and adds Strawberry Popping Pearls. It's now become her fav as well. Inside it's clean and has a chill vibe. Gong Cha has been on my list of places to try. I'm so glad I did. Tucked in a strip mall, there's plenty of parking around. The interior is nicely decorated. There are plenty of seats inside and out. This is more of a to go place though. When we arrived there were people ahead of us. Since it's later in the night, there was only one staff member. He was pleasant and efficient. My tea was good. It was my first time tonight visiting Gong Cha. I used an app called To Good To Go (for the first time tonight) which sells discounted items that otherwise would be thrown away. It was two firsts for me in one night lol. The app said to be there from 8:30-9:00 pm. Even though I live less that ten minutes away, time got away from me and I called about 10 minutes before close, but the young manager (I assume) was very patient and friendly. I explained the situation to him and he kept the door open Neil the last minute. The store was clean and modern looking. The drinks were refreshing, but I liked the milk tea a bit better than the iced tea drink. I will be back. read more

1.31.2023 UPDATE! So I stopped by the Mira Mesa location yesterday to compare receipts with this Menifee location. Turns out they do NOT add sales tax or a "service charge" to your purchase!! Maybe it's a franchise thing, idk, but the proof is in the pudding. I posted receipts for the respective locations. Now you know!!! Smh! I have been here a few times since they opened. At first, it was great. Drinks were good, they make them quickly and the last time I went in, they fixed mine twice because it wasn't what I ordered. They finally got it right, and it tasted the way it was supposed to. Employee are always nice, too. I do find it odd that I've never seen any women working here. The owner is a woman, though, lol. Find them between Michi's Tacos and H&R Block in the Ross Shopping Center. My last visit was on November 18, 2022. It's only been 2 months. At that time, I noticed the receipt had an added "Service Charge." It was 3% back then, and the tax rate was 8.75% just as it is everywhere else. I went in last night and got 2 drinks. The "Service Charge" went down by 6%, and I noticed the tax rate went up to 9.75%!!! Uhhh... I just Googled that, and nowhere did I see the tax rate currently listed as 9.75% in California or Riverside County for that matter!! Just seems sketch...you feel me?! I would hate to think this location is nickel and diming, but I just checked my receipt from another local place I had lunch at today. Tax rate on that receipt is still 8.75%. Maybe they think people won't notice, but I for one surely noticed. Apparently, I'm not the only one, either. There are 3 other boba shops in the area (Sharetea, Monsta Snow Too, and the newest to join the bunch, R&B Tea), in case you aren't aware. Definitely not cool in my book, but as a trusted Elite, I feel the need to share this information. Everything is already expensive, so yeah... I may not return here again. We came on a Friday night to get a quick drink before heading home. I got the honey longan tea and husband tried the Earl grey tea with cheese foam top. The service we received from the 2 staff that was working there were great. They were friendly and ensure that we received our drinks quickly, We enjoyed the drink on site since they open seats, The atmosphere is very casual and cozy. I think it was a slow night for them. Excellent service and LOVE! They're all about the customer. I don't do fake syrups so they made a natural drink of milk, tea and brown sugar. First it was waaaay to sweet, BUT WAIT... he remade a free one!! I didn't even ask and he was quick to fix! I will absolutely come back! Make sure to ask for low sweet otherwise it's a little much. I'm an older lady who is a fan of real Taiwanese boba drinks and this is pretty authentic except for the colored syrups. Try to avoid that part. I hope to have management consider more natural drinks for wellness conscious customers who don't mind to pay a little extra for real juices. Like Boba without too much or no coloring. Came across this place when we went to eat next door. It opened just the day before. I've had their boba drinks in their Mira Mesa San Diego location. I'm sure they're still trying to get everything up and running. The interior could use more sprucing up. There were a few tables but one corner were the signage is could use a sitting vignette such as a couch or comfy chairs with a coffee table. It's a little stark inside but I'm sure in time they'll spruce it up. My daughter had the Lemon Wintermelon with Basil seeds which she loved. My husband had the Thai Tea with boba. And I actually don't remember what I ordered but it was something non dairy. I love the fact that you can customize the sweet, ice level. The drinks were refreshing and great tasting.
