Menu is pretty limited however their window has many different drinks that seemed neat, so I wish they displayed that on their menu inside. Pretty basic drinks, your typical boba place. Ordered 2 fruity teas, will say their choices on toppings are very limited compared to their competitors. They don't have lychee jelly however have coconut jelly. I put off trying gong cha for a while since they had that bogo deal with ridiculous lines. I now regret that decision haha. Seems like the boba game in Dallas is getting stepped up with every new cafe/chain that opens here. Gong cha is no exception to that. I feel like this location is better than their first location in Richardson due to the decor and even the drink quality. When I come here my go-to is the lemon AI-yu with 50% sweetness with lychee jellies. It's super refreshing and with the warmer weather coming around the corner it's perfect. The drink contains lemon rinds but there's a fine line between getting the delicious lemon rind and the bitter part underneath it. The Plano location does a much better job than Richardson of getting the bitter parts out. Of all the boba places coming to town, I definitely recommend this place on the list of things people should try! read more

First off, I love boba. Second, I've been looking forward to trying this place out for a while, and I have been hearing good things about this place from friends and co-workers. Third, I was disappointed leaving. The place itself is a little hard to get to. Gong Cha is located right next to Mango Mango right next to the Park Blvd bridge. If you're not familiar with the area, you're bound to miss the entrance to the building complex so make sure to stay alert and don't miss the entrance! The cafe interior is really pretty. Everything looks brand spanking new and I really like the layout of the place. There are tables for groups, seats for 2, and even board games and cards to play with. Looks like a nice place to study at or to go out with friends! The staff was nice and attentive and they even gave us drink suggestions when we ordered! Staff. Hit. Atmosphere. Hit. Drinks. Miss. We took the staff's suggestions and ordered some drinks from their favorite drinks list. We tried the Earl Grey Milk Tea and Mango Milk Slush. The size of the drinks were pretty big and we couldn't wait to dig into them! Alas, the first thing we tasted was straight up sugary syrup. The drinks were set at their "normal" 70% sweetness and it was WAY too sweet. I don't mind if drinks are a tad bit sweet, but the sweetness levels in our drinks were extreme. Not only was it too sweet, both my girlfriend and I had the after taste of artificial sweetener halfway through our drinks. I'm not exactly sure what type of sweetener they use, but the after taste was so bad that I couldn't finish my drink. And if you know me, that NEVER happens. The name sounded a bit interesting to me the first time I heard it said. Couldn't figure it out what it meant. Now I know after doing some serious research. But to make it short, "Gong Cha" just simply means "good tea" or "really good tea". I've been to the Gong Cha in Richardson, and it's my first time here in this new Plano location. The design of the shops is quite similar at first glance. They basically use the same style of tile flooring, wood panels at the order counter, and wall decorations. Whenever I visit a boba place for the first time, I always try their basic milk tea (black tea). If they do it right, other things will fall into place. So I did the same here. The milk tea had a nice milk flavor, but the tea taste was quite light. I have to say the boba was soft, chewy, and sweet, but not too sweet. Very nicely done. This shop looks much more spacious than the Richardson location. I especially like the open area where you place you order. I think they have prepared to handle long lines of people. It's neat and clean. (Well, it's new. So it'll be like this for a while, I think.) The wall design is quite simple. Among other things, there is a big map to show the footprint of Gong Cha in many parts of the world. There are also some messages of wisdom on the wall. The biggest one is: "Happiness is a cup of cha & a good book." I don't disagree with it. Although I say the tea flavor of their regular milk tea is light, if you try other flavors like oolong (Taiwanese) or Earl Gray (British), the tea flavor is more distinct. The serving people are very friendly and courteous. You couldn't ask for more. I haven't tried their unique milk foam tea yet. I'll probably come back pretty soon to try it and other things as well. read more

This place has exceeded my expectations for boba. I have never been to a boba place in this area that has tasted soo good. On the three occasions that I have been, Gong Cha's service and drinks have been very consistent. I always opt for the Oolong milk foam with boba. 70% sweetness, and regular ice. I get it in medium, however, i'm always left wanting more :( I've gotten a large before, but for some reason, it is not as good. My friend also got a brown sugar milk tea with pudding and it tasted like a cookie in a cup! So so good. And they don't skimp out on the pudding either. The drinks are a moderate price, ~$4.60/a cup. The service here is always on top of their game (they even wear mouth guards so they don't accidentally spit in our drinks when they speak to us) and i'm never left unsatisfied. My boyfriend ordered the most complicated drink and I was not surprised they got it wrong because there were so many modifications, but they gladly fixed it and even let us keep the drink they messed up! Finally Gong Cha opens in Dallas! They have the best tea selection in my opinion and excellent boba. Their drinks are customizable, so if you don't like yours too sweet or want less ice they can do that for you. I am in love with their wintermelon tea. It's naturally sweet, so they don't add any extra syrups. I tried their lemon ai-yu with white pearls per the server's recommendation (I guess I looked tired, she said it would wake me up) and it was good! The white pearls have a lighter flavor than regular pearls. As of Spring 2017, the area is super loud, but I can imagine once all the construction dies down, this would be an excellent place to work remotely, especially in the evening. It is comfortable and inviting with nice natural lighting during the daytime. Overall, highly recommend trying Gong Cha if you haven't! read more

This is probably my favorite boba place. I love going here when I'm back in town from college! Me and my brother have probably been 100 times in the past semester. I always get the wintermelon tea with half bubbles because they always put too much tapioca. The wintermelon tea is always amazing, and I can't find a better wintermelon milk tea anywhere else. We got the red bean matcha milk tea and the QQtea as well. Those were just alright in my opinion, partially due to my dislike of red bean. But my bf who likes red bean likes it! Whenever I just need a cup of GOOD OL RELIABLE milk tea, i come straight to Gong Cha cause I know exactly what I will receive: Milk Tea brewed to Perfection with the perfect amount of ice, sugar and pearls. Their milk teas have never failed me and I've tried almost all of them. Their caramel milk tea (amazing), hazelnut, jasmine, thai tea, dirty brown sugar series (better than Tiger Sugar HANDS DOWN), their fruit milk teas (an acquired taste but so good - esp the watermelon milk tea series they had) and their sparkling teas also are pretty good. Gong Cha is the milk tea place that you never knew you wanted and didn't realize you needed. They're all over the place in Korea, and I basically can't help going into nearly every one I happen to pass. My recommendation is the Earl Grey Milk Tea with boba, half sweetness. If you get one of the slashed, they're good with aloe, and if you get a regular tea, try it out with the foam. It's slightly salty and creamy. As for the taste, the product here is pretty much on point with what I've had in the past at other Gong Chas; better than the Japan one actually. The service is good here, and the interior is trendy and clean. No issues finding parking unlike most Asian strip malls. My only gripe is their menu is missing some of the drinks I like, such as the peach oolong milk tea and white grape smoothie. Still, though, this place is just great. read more

It's great for those who are watching their diet and sugar intakes ;) Employee was very friendly and they have free WiFi there. We have been going here for some time. First, they are amazing. My favorite is the Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea. They are sometimes a bit slow, but worth the wait. Recently we did have two teas with bobas that had an off texture. Nothing that will make you sick, just not up to their normal standard. I will try them again, but consistency is extremely important to me, as this is normally a quick stop to pick up for others. We are depending on it being good, as we may not drink it there. If they continue to be inconsistent, I will have to find a new tea place or perhaps a different gong cha location. read more

I gave this place 4/5 stars mainly because of the cute and clean interior! As well as the overall ambience. It was very clean, quiet, well decorated, and overall a very nice place. I saw people studying and I definitely was able to get some cute photo-ops with the decor. As for the tea itself, I ordered basic Milk Tea with boba. I asked for 50% sweetness and for them to add extra tea. Unfortunately I don't think they listened because it was WAY TOO SWEET. I couldn't even drink half of it. The boba was yummy though. I give this 4/5 stars because the location is spacious, open, and CLEAN. First of all, Gong Cha i think is the best in terms of branding. The service in this location is on point and super nice. Their rewards program is a little difficult compared to other places. They don't do stamp cards or use a program like 5 star rewards that uses the touch pad to type in your phone number. Not that the phone number system they have is bad, it's just a little annoying personally or a little bit of trouble just because relaying a phone number verbally always has an error somewhere. Milk tea was good but a little too milky, and maybe tasted a little like it was from a powder mix. Their regular sugar level is on point and didn't need any adjusting for me, compared to the Plano Sharetea location which is usually too sweet. Also they have the cutest mini version of connect 4 that comes with little tube slots for the pieces to go in. read more
