Always have a good experience here. Service is quick and friendly and the kiosk is ordering is very convenient if you're not sure what you want to really scan the menu. It gets very steamy and warm in there. Wish they had better ventilation for that. It's like walking into a sauna. I try my best to give them the benefit of the doubt since the employees are kind of young, but at this 0.5 visits and my order is still isn't right? I don't think so. Since I live across the street from this, it's super easy and convenient for me to get bubble tea from here. The shop itself is very small. There are only a few seats since this place is more of a order to go place. The staff works very quickly to get your drinks made. Customers used to be able to earn points by giving their number to the cashier. They are currently working on a new system so they have reverted back to the card and stamps. The cards are laminated so the stamps rub off pretty easily. I have had to tape over it to make sure that it doesn't come off. I always get a regular milk tea with tapioca and every time I have ordered it, it taste the same. No complaints about their tea. This is always a great place to go to get bubble tea since it's in a convenient location. The drinks are pricey, but well worth it! I love bubble tea, and this is my go-to bubble tea spot. My favorites are Dirty Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Matcha Strawberry Latte, and Milk Foam Oolong. I usually order one of these since they're my favorites. I'd like to try more bubble teas from them, but it's hard to choose since there are so many different flavors. The only one I didn't like that I tried was the lychee slush because it felt too watered down, and did not have much flavor. The texture was also odd and it wasn't smoothly blended. They also have the ice cream on the menu there, but do not offer it. The staff should remove it from the menu to avoid confusion. Every time I've asked about the ice cream, they say they don't offer it due to the contract in Rego Center - but if you don't offer it, why is it listed on the menu? When they switched from the old stamp card system to the Fivestars system, I was upset they wouldn't honor the stamp card I had since I had filled up the stamp card already. Most places would still honor it despite a change to the system, so I was disappointed in how they handled their stamp card system change. Ahhhhhh! Look out for the shopping carts! The quality of Gong Cha drinks are better compared to most mainstream Bubble Tea joints. The hot or cold versions of the earl grey definitely have a great tea flavor with the ability to manage the sugar level a bonus. Gong Cha's are pretty efficient in general and this one was no different. It is a little pricey but it seems like many tea joints are trending upwards in costs so it is inline with other tea restaurants. That said, I'm not sure why but a majority of the Gong Cha's in Queens, NY are located inside malls where you would need to navigate a crowd for your sweet thirst quencher. This particular one is located in a very popular mall with a Costco that is downright messy on the weekends. I'm not interested in being a "Frogger" having to dodge oversized carts and shopping wagons for a cup of tea, albeit a good one. Parking is another negative with street parking almost nonexistent surrounding the mall and the available pay parking lot nearby doesn't really provide enough incentive for me to park and visit this Gong Cha. It would be great if they had a 15 minute free parking or validate with purchase with spots in front. As a result of these minuses, I generally avoid this area like the plague. There is also not many chairs inside to sit and relax. So to close, Gong Cha is pricey, I do enjoy the tea here, but I wish I didn't have dodge a shopping cart to get one. Always half sweet, very little ice. And it's definitely a good sweet at that. Every blue moon I might get a different milk-type tea and every green moon I'd get a fruit flavored tea. I love the smell couple feet away on the outside and permeating from within during the entire visit. I can't get enough of this $6 dessert in a cup that feels friendlier on the hips than a slice of cake, but I assure you it's no less addictive. And probably not even true. This location is small, but convenient to where I live so it's where I go most for bubble tea. I used to also go to the 44th Street location in Manhattan, but this one is the one I go to the most. It took months to figure out their reward program because they kept switching things up. It meant that you could never tally enough points to get anything because of how often things were switched up. They went to one with your phone number, to one with a stamp card, and are back using a phone number now. During my last visit, they have a new female employee who was probably the most helpful out of anyone in the store that they've had previously. Usually when I ask for help in finding a caffeine free drink, the employees kind of shrug and dismiss it, and apparently some of the drinks that are marked caffeine free on their menu are not actually caffeine free according to staff. When asking about what bubble teas are caffeine free. She was able to point my husband to something I could drink when I named beverages I like. They made me a delicious brown sugar milk drink which I loved and will definitely be ordering again. I also like the lychee sparkler and strawberry drinks when they have those in season.
