Last night I got mozzarella wedges and an order of pasta with meatballs. It came with a salad and bread. Those items cost $24.05. The salad was very small and had brown leaves in it. The two small pieces of bread were hard and stale. There was a lot of pasta with two medium size meatballs. For the cost, I was not impressed and expected a lot better. Frankly, I was surprised at how expensive it was. I've had better meals from Goochies and based on this past experience, I'll be hard pressed to return any time soon. read more

We have been coming to brigantine for a few years now and Goochie Brothers is the best pizza on the island. They have very good specialty pizzas and salads. I was not a particular fan of the pasta dishes, but overall it's a great restaurant. Also, it's a BYOB where you don't get charged a ridiculous "opening fee.". Service is always friendly, but since it has a relatively small dining area, you may have to wait a while. Will definitely keep going back. read more

The food is way better than you would expect when you see it/walk in. Yes, you can order pizza and it is very good; but the italian entrees are very good also. It is a very reasonable BYOB, and if you are into the company you are with and the food you are going to eat --- it is a good place to go. Friendly service, great price, fresh ingredients - this place is now my favorite lunch spot in Brigantine. We were greeted with a smile and the complimentary (and delicious) bruschetta. Two of us enjoyed their huge entree salads: spinach and greek. My husband had the eggplant parmigiana over penne. The pasta was al dente and Mr. Chiffon reports that the eggplant was very good. this is obviously a pizza place, but so much more than average. I am a year round resident of Brigantine and this is one of my favorite places to eat. You are given free bruschetta upon arrival, and it is yummy. If you get there before 4 you can get lunch portions of their entrees for only $10, which comes with a salad. Their prices are reasonable. The lunch/ pizzeria items range from $7-12 and the entrees are upwards to $20 or even close to $30 if you get a seafood dish. But it is all quality! I have never had bad service and do not mind the small bathroom b/c it is a small place. If you're looking for something fancier I'd suggest going off island, but for a quick dinner that's better than your average pizza place, I give Goochie's an A plus. read more

Went with friends and it was awesome. My dinner special was $11 for shrimp linguine a la vodka, which was the perfect size with 5 large shrimp, the bread was awesome and the service great. Would definitely go again. One complaint, I agree with the other poster having a door that leads to the kitchen was kind of unnerving in the bathroom. Ordered a pizza, take out. Hand tossed, Pepperoni, sausage, roasted peppers, hot peppers, onions, basil, and extra sauce. They put the extra sauce on top which made it look like a mess. Very salty and after a 3 minute drive down the road back to where I was staying the crust was a soggy mess. The flavor was decent, and I feel the crust WOULD HAVE been good if it wasn't flopping around like a wet paper towel, so I gave 3 stars but my experience is more like 2. I threw a couple pieces in the oven to crisp it up which helped a little bit. I hadn't had pizza in awhile and was looking forward to it but I was pretty disappointed to be honest. Maybe if you avoid extra sauce you will have a better experience. I just like a little extra sauce. The way it was just slapped on the top was a bit insulting. Oh well read more

Good spot for pizza and burgers/subs on the island. It's located in the strip mall by the acme. They have a decent sized seating area for dining in but I've only ever had takeout. My orders have always been prepared fresh and been correct. read more

I order from here regularly. I love Chicken Parm and these guys make the best here locally. It seems a little pricey at first glance, but the amount of food you get is easily enough for 2 people, or two full meals if you order the full dinners. If you are in the restaurant, forget it, you are definitely bringing leftovers home. I have also had some of their other pasta dishes and all are very good, as is the pizza. I wouldn't say the pizza is best on the island, but I would say it's very close. The sicilian pizza is awesome! I definitely recommend this place as it is the best all around pizzeria on the island if you consider not only quality of food, but also selection, PLUS you can order online and have it delivered or ready for pickup...it's very convenient considering we won't be getting grub hub out here any time soon. read more

My order was not very good. I ordered 5 and 4 orders of fries not 4 pieces of fries! My Cuban was toasted so hard that you could not even eat it. Wonderful Italian fast food and pizza, BUT, the basic Philadelphia style cheesesteak is lacking. Us philly people judge places like this by the cheesesteak. Goochie bros was very greasy, suggesting cheap meat. The taste was the third grade steak. When taken home and maybe upside down, the roll was saturated with grease- yuck. Goochie is a great pizza, salad, take out place on the Island. I have never had a bad meal. Their salads are large and delicious - particularly the chopped salad. As for pizza, the KC is divine, but they are all good. The wings are tasty. What's not to like? They even deliver. read more

Typical pizza place. Pat the waiter was attentive and polite. Prices were just slightly higher than where we live in Winslow. Food was good and it was tasty. Clean dining room. I ordered the Uncle Kracker sandwich, which Is chicken cutlet and rab sauted in garlic and olive oil served in a roll. Sounds good right? Not! This was by far the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. The chicken, which did not even look like chicken, was paper thin and appeared to be beading only. There was hardly any "chicken" in the sandwich that I sent it back. No apology and the waitress asked if I wanted another one. For $9.00 I expected a tasty sandwich. I could not believe the cook had the nerve to try and serve that to a customer, so why would I want them to make a replacement one. We made reservations, told they would be honored, only to show up and be told that reservations could not be guaranteed, and that we were welcome to leave if we had an issue. Whoever the blonde is that works there needs to get a lesson in customer service and manners. Will never go again. This was off season too. read more

OK - the owner is a great guy when he is there to supervise - always corrects a problem before it starts. Stopped by to place an order on my way to pick up groceries during the storm. Placed my order, and said that I would be back in 15-20 mins to pick up the pizza. Came back and the staff (there must have been 5 of them with nothing to do because of the storm) looked at me and said "Oh I didn't know you wanted to order that pizza". If the owner had been there, he would have stepped in, and thrown in a salad or something else and made the pie right away. The girl at the counter just looked ahead confused. Come on! read more

I had frequented this restaurant for years and always had a good experience...until the last time I visited, about a year or two ago-when I went to use the bathroom, it was beyond disgusting! Still, I tried to keep an open mind and thought that maybe the staff was busy and hadn't checked the restroom. However, when I came out of the restroom, I was greeted by a giant cockroach. Worst restaurant ever. I am sometimes desperate for a pasta meal and it makes me ill to think of this place. Roach crawled on my table last year while having pizza with my dad. Gave it another chance and ordered ziti bolognese, To Go, one night before a marathon I was running. I said I had an order to pick up and I asked the guy at the front, just confirming, if it was ziti bolognese that i ordered and he snottily pointed at the ticket and just pushed the stapled bag at me like I was an idiot. It was last order of the night I guess. I got it home to find it was a plate of Linguine Alfredo, which i dont like which is why i asked, plus that isnt good before a race! I went back the next night brought it with me and asked to speak to him. I handed it to him and said I want my $15 back. He opened it up and sheepishly handed me the money. absolutely horrible. i ordered takeout, it was an hour wait. i had a chicken cutlet sandwich w/ broccali rabe. when i got home, i opened up the sandwich and it was nothing but roll w/ a little spinach. i was shocked they would let such a thing leave their kitchen. my girlfriend got spagetti and meatballs. the sauce had the consistancy of tomato soup. how to you mess up spaghetti? it is a shame, bc i own a house w/in walkable distance, but i will never go back again. it was so bad, that i am writing my first online review ever...i can't stand to do this type of thing, but i want to warn vacationers to stay away. read more

I live in Brigantine & I'm lazy so I like to get my food delivered. I always order online (my fav part). When you get to checkout it gives you the option to pay online. Once you select they option, it then just tells you your order has been placed. So, you can't actually pay online. If you have a card, you have to call them & tell them you want to pay for your order (so annoying). Anyway, on to the food. I've only had 4 things from there. The first were the mussels in a white wine sauce which were AWESOME. Best mussels I've ever had. I also had a burger which was fairly okay. Sadly, the good food stops there. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pasta over penne. WORST PASTA I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. First, there was no actual Alfredo sauce, the sauce was replaced with grease. I am not kidding, it made me gag. I decided to taste the chicken anyway, bad decision. It was not seasoned at all. Just grilled and thrown on top of penne with grease sauce. Ugh. I am not exaggerating. I also had onion rings from there which were terrible, they were soft & flavorless. I'll return for the mussels, but the Alfredo was the worst thing I'd ever seen.
