Good bagels! Love the option of sprouts. Decently priced, the salmon bagel was really good as well and the turkey club, I like the double toasted option! You can order online for busy days, if you are trying to make a ferry reservation which is nice too.

Great breakfast place in downtown Anacortes. There was no line when we walked in and we got our food within 5 minutes. The coffee was great and not watered down at all. Lots of parking in the back and friendly staff. Would recommend the BEC bagels also. Lots of seating and WiFi if you wanted to do work here

Great bagel sandwiches and really good lattes as well! Fast service. Definitely recommend if looking for a quick but yummy brekky in Anacortes.

Best BAGEL PLACE EVER! Stopped on the way home from guemes island. Let me tell you this place was not only cute, clean , modern but the service was top notch. The bagel melts in your mouth and the iced coffee was so yummy. Whoever makes these bagels I want to hung you right now

not only the best bagel sandwich around, the best sandwich around period! the service is good, they stack your sammy as high as you ask and the quality is there. you can even add novel things like hashbrowns, who does that? this place :)

Fresh brewed coffee and bagels was advertised on the sign outside. You had me at coffee and bagels! Immediately I smelled delicious toasty smells combined with coffee as I opened the door to this adorable counter service breakfast spot. Everything is served on a...you guessed it!...bagel. The menu is just big enough to not overwhelm me. I had a classic breakfast bagel sandwich with sausage. Scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. I had asked for no cheese but they forgot. No worries it was delicious! Self serve coffee when you eat in. Friendly vibes here. They also serve a few sweets, lunch sandwiches, and I saw mimosas and beer choices. Happy yelping and bagels.

Not terrible, not great. Meh is the best way to describe it. I got the classic bagel breakfast sandwich, my partner got the Upper West Side sandwich. Upon taking the first bite of my classic, the fillings bathed in wetness jumped out the other side. It's one of the messiest meh sandwiches I've ever had - I had to fashion a diaper to hold together the mediocre ingredients and use a stack of napkins to clean my hands. I wouldn't have minded if the flavors were there, but alas, none to be found. I decided it wasn't worth the work and gave up half way through. My dogs liked it well enough. My partner liked the flavors of the Upper West Side, but also found his sandwich wetter than it needed to be. The bagels were bagels. The bagels were small and good as the moniker suggests, but without the elevation I would expect from a place focused on bagels. Coffee was serviceable, but with no depth or richness. Overall our experience was messy, overpriced, and we aren't in a hurry to return.

I'd never have thought I'd get good bagels in Washington, but these really blew our minds. We got a bunch of different ones. Whats surprising is the mushroom patty and kale one was just as good as the other ones too. I loved everything they had. I didn't think I'd have such great bagels anywhere other than NYC, but these guys are awesome! It's a cute little cafe on the Main Street at Anacortez. I'd definitely go here again.

Good signage to point the way.

A new place to grab breakfast in town! The interior is very modern surf shack, which is lovely! Lots of unique and cool art on the walls. There is decent seating, but be prepared to have to take your sandwich and coffee to go. The mochas we ordered, while a bit small for the price, were smooth, foamy, and delicious with just the right amount of sweet. We ordered two Classics, one with bacon and one with sausage. Both were very small for the price, however they did pack a flavor punch. Make sure to grab napkins because the flavor likes to get all over your fingers! Unfortunately the sausage Classic was lukewarm and the sausage was undercooked. Overall we were happy with the food, establishment, and the friendly staff. The major things that stood out to us and took two stars away was the pricing and the underdone sausage. We will absolutely be trying them again in a couple months!

Breakfast sandwich. Got the bacon on the side.

Customer service was not very friendly. Their bagels and coffee are totally overpriced. I will not go back.

My fish and chips were really good, and the generous serving of homemade tarter sauce was unique and outstanding, as was the coleslaw. The fish sticks were fluffy and cooked just right, the fries were excellent as well. I can't wait to go back and try some other items on the menu, this is a cool little spot tucked away out in the flats, and now I know the reason why there are always a few cars there when I drive by. Now, it's become a regular haunt when it's a nice day and I'm in the mood for some good pub food, a tasty cool beer and, oh, an impeccable view over a picturesque Skagit field towards towering Mt. Baker. This place is just about perfect! The food here ranges from pub favorites like wings and burgers, to fresh oyster shooters, to tacos, salads, and some delish house-smoked barbeque. They're also known for Friday prime rib nights, which I haven't enjoyed yet but it's on my list. The service here is super friendly. I've been three times this summer and one of the bartenders already recognizes me! It can be a little slow getting served on busy nights, so I recommend ordering as soon as you can if you're hungry. Otherwise, just settle back with your beer from their amazing taplist (or a cocktail from their full bar), enjoy the view from their vast outdoor patio, and take it all in before the rainy season returns.

Relax - this is a small place with a small staff and even smaller kitchen: If you're in a rush, or the impatient type, this ain't it. But if you like to sit a spell and chat with your people as you enjoy friendly, knowledgeable staff (you're likely to be served by the owners themselves), a craft cocktail, relish a lovely meal, then polish it off with one of Jane's amazing desserts (salted caramel brownie à la mode, anyone?), then we'll see you at The Rex, because we will definitely be back! We were a large group (10) on a busy night and Jane and crew handled us beautifully. Our table enjoyed steak salads, the pork tenderloin, the chicken linguine, cod risotto, clam chowder, a Reuben (huge!), and flank steak. Dessert was outstanding - choose from Lopez Island Creamery ice cream (huge scoops), or one of Jane's scratch-baked treats (pies, key lime bars, brownies, cookies, more). The salted caramel brownie à la mode melted in my mouth. It was excellent, you could taste each component - the fudgy brownie, the creamy caramel, the occasional crunch of salt = 10/10, no notes, don't miss it. Great vibe, loved seeing so many familiar faces coming and going, so happy to have The Rex Bistro in the valley.
