i came here on a whim after recognizing the name, a sushi spot i remember being around since i went to middle school down the street. this place has been open for 30 years!!! i got the Modzilla roll (fried CA roll topped with spicy tuna, jalapeño, eel sauce, crunchy bits & spicy mayo). i also got garlic edamame & a large draft beer (i think Sapporo). everything was SO DELICIOUS. Marta was my server and she was so sweet. very kind and professional & helped me choose my roll & damn i was NOT disappointed. Omar was making the food & wow. everything was so fresh and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Brady & Marta made sure i had everything i needed & i was able to wrap the rest of my meal to-go. i got a side of eel sauce which i mixed with the wasabi but didn't even need it because everything was perfectly seasoned! i wasn't that hungry coming in but this experience makes me want to come back starving and with more friends! the only critique i have is that the jalapeno, spicy mayo & wasabi were not spicy. i don't even care because every bite was delectable. such a wonderful experience. the restaurant itself is adorable and very clean. i will definitely be back! thank you to Marta & all the staff! i also love that my beer was served in a nice frosted glass :) read more

They charge by plate color, grab what you want. Lots of other items available on the menu. All you can eat is offered Monday and Tuesdays 5-9p. Adults $31, kids $19. Terrible food. Tempura was thick and mushy; the inside was goopy batter. Tempura sauce tasted like warm water - zero flavor. Mussels were drenched too thickly in heavy teriyaki sauce. Salad dressing was some sort of tasteless white sauce - literally had no taste or herbs or anything. The only things remotely good were the ample and very green greens in the salad and the nicely flavored salmon sushi. Delicious rolls that we had were the Ohana, the Summer, the Mahalo, and the Oskar. My favorite was the Mahalo because of the crunchy part on top, very yummy! Very friendly welcome by Omar! Had hot tea and a salad, everything was beautifully served by Christopher, he was terrific with very tasty suggestions and excellent service. Nice Hawaiian music played while we ate lunch so a very enjoyable lunch. The polo bowl was to die for and so filling that I even got leftovers The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. First time here, came in with a party of six for the all you can eat. The place has a lot of potential but I don't think it was a great visit for me. Definitely a hole in the wall with just the bar and minimal table seating. Love that they have the rotating boats that serve around the bar. But they didn't have much to choose from and the same stuff kept going around. The sushi was average and the service was so so. I noticed they had a lot of runners and staff taking drink orders. They only had 3 guys working the bar for the all you can eat and I don't think they could keep up with the orders. They only let you order one item at a time, so basically it was a ton of waiting in between. You literally had to wave them down to order every time and it was like you're being an inconvenience to them. I will be back to try it again and see how the next visit goes. I just had 50 people over to celebrate my birthday and Good Choice catered the event. It was a hit! Everyone raved about the food. It was a beautiful combination of cold and hot dishes. Michelle even accommodated some of my gluten-free guests by using gluten-free soy sauce when possible. She was quick and efficient setting up the chafing dishes and the showstopper was the jewel-like sushi presented in a large wooden boat. People actually gasped when that showed up on the table. The sushi here was like Japanese food but translated by a person without working taste buds. Japanese food is purist and all about the best of the best seafood. The fish here didn't have much flavor; eel sauce was overpowering. It was as flavorful as a sushi roll from Ralph's. Service here was fine. It's odd that previous reviews mention the Hispanic sushi chefs. I admit it is jarring since Japanese food is intensely traditional and even seeing sushi female Japanese sushi chefs isn't "normal." I think anyone from any background can cook any cuisine authentically. The problem is when workers are there to just cook and don't have a fundamental and thorough understanding of the cuisine and techniques. So much so that I returned that night for take out as I wanted to try their special $3.60 rolls (Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday starting at 5:00pm). My favorite dishes were the Kalani, Cajon Salmon, and the Popcorn Shrimp rolls. The Cucumber Paradise deserves a honorable mention. I will return. read more

We came in for lunch and there was only a few people dining. The server was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the lunch special (3 items) and my husband ordered the Poke bowl. There was a lot of food for the price but I wasn't crazy about their tempura, which is supposed to be light and airy, but this was a bit soggy & greasy. I also had a California Roll which was prepared fresh and had plenty of crab in it but could've used a little bit more avocado. The gyoza was over cooked and not a lot of filling. The poke bowl was perfectly balanced with crab and ahi tuna. The miso soup and salad was a nice addition to our meal. It's a small restaurant with seating at the sushi bar, they also have little booths on the side for two. It's a great little neighborhood spot but next visit I will stick with the Poke Bowl or something else. We've come many times before and it's been great! read more

This place has the best All You Can Eat sushi deal. $30 on Mondays and Tuesdays and it's basically the entire menu! The quality of fish is great too. All things considered, this is just an OK joint for AYCE. Their sushi is definitely up to par to other competitors, but the options for other foods besides sushi is rather lacking besides a few fried appetizers. If all you're going to be getting is nigiri sushi anyway, the most you can eat is probably going to be at the break even point. They do have complimentary tea which is a plus, often times AYCE charge quite a bit for drinks. I'd definitely come back for a few plates of sushi, I'd have to think again for AYCE but it's out of the way relatively simple it's not like I'd casually go here for anything besides AYCE anyway. I am all for being understanding for restaurants as a restaurant worker myself however i am displeased with my experience at Good Choice Sushi. I ordered for myself, husband and MIL and it was MORE expensive through their app that they "offer up" to use on their Instagram and online. DO NOT USE app unless you are okay with paying more. Might as we call them and not be up charged. Additionally i ordered 6oz of teriyaki chicken and received less then 2.5. The excuse was "we weigh it before we cook it" raw meat is generally heavier so You are getting JIPPED at this point paying $9 (on the app) for 2.25 or so oz of cooked chicken? Crazy. Not happy with the handling. I felt brushed off and that my displeasure with the experience was an inconvenience to them which was disappointing as a returning customer of the sushi restaurant. The servers did their best but i wouldn't recommend ordering takeout or on the app and understanding these variances in what it says vs what you get. read more
