    Hand roll night!
    Willie L.

Love hand roll nights here at Good Choice Sushi. I usually get Hula, Kailani, and Kalikimaka rolls. The sushi chefs make the rolls quickly serves right at the sushi bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant intimate as you sit next to the chefs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't beat freshly made rolls with some miso soup.

Hispanic owned and run. Friendly and good service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not a lot of seats. A few tables and rest are around the revolving sushi bar area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Revolving boats powered by water. They charge by plate color, grab what you want. Lots of other items available on the menu. All you can eat is offered Monday and Tuesdays 5-9p. Adults $31, kids $19. Complimentary miso soup which is nice. Rolls have lots of rice and barely any fish. Not favorable.

Again showing how mushy the tempura was
    Pam R.

Terrible food. Tempura was thick and mushy; the inside was goopy batter. Tempura sauce tasted like warm water - zero flavor. Mussels were drenched too thickly in heavy teriyaki sauce. Salad dressing was some sort of tasteless white sauce - literally had no taste or herbs or anything. The only things remotely good were the ample and very green greens in the salad and the nicely flavored salmon sushi. Too bad because Good Choice Sushi in Capistrano Beach, which has a different owner, is amazing.

    Oskar Roll, delicious!

Delicious rolls that we had were the Ohana, the Summer, the Mahalo, and the Oskar. My favorite was the Mahalo because of the crunchy part on top, very yummy! Very friendly welcome by Omar! Had hot tea and a salad, everything was beautifully served by Christopher, he was terrific with very tasty suggestions and excellent service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice Hawaiian music played while we ate lunch so a very enjoyable lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Located in a nice shopping center area with plenty of parking Highly recommend Good Choice Sushi & suggest the Mahalo & other rolls if you want some tasty sushi!

I ordered Salmon Teriyaki Plate take out but this is what I got, They did not come with any rice and the salmon look like someone smash it with a hammer. Worst sushi spot ever.

A really good local choice! One of my favorite neighborhood sushi spots--just a short walk from home. I love stopping by for their Wednesday and Thursday handroll specials. The yellowtail cheek is my absolute favorite--so fresh and flavorful!

Super quick service! I got their poke tostadas and they did not disappoint! Super yummy and fairly large!

First time here, came in with a party of six for the all you can eat. The place has a lot of potential but I don't think it was a great visit for me. Definitely a hole in the wall with just the bar and minimal table seating. Love that they have the rotating boats that serve around the bar. But they didn't have much to choose from and the same stuff kept going around. The sushi was average and the service was so so. I noticed they had a lot of runners and staff taking drink orders. They only had 3 guys working the bar for the all you can eat and I don't think they could keep up with the orders. They only let you order one item at a time, so basically it was a ton of waiting in between. You literally had to wave them down to order every time and it was like you're being an inconvenience to them. I will be back to try it again and see how the next visit goes. Hoping for a better experience.

    Rice, soup, chicken, and salmon

Was in the area so stopped by for a quick lunch. Food was okay. They gave me a big salad. Lettuce was very fresh, no brown end pieces. Chicken was very dry though, and not grilled as I expected. Salmon was also okay. Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5

House Salad served with ranch? Never have I seen this in any sushi restaurant, nor was it listed it on the menu

It's okay. They charged me $29 for one roll, a bowl of rice, and four pieces of fruit. For that price, might as well get AYCE.

The OMG! Sushi place!…read more Muse Sushi is one of our favorite local sushi spots--and for good reason. The food is exceptionally high quality, the prices are very fair, and the staff is ridiculously friendly. The spicy miso soup is a must, as is the spicy edamame. They have some great specialty rolls, including one with baked salmon that is fantastic. And their sashimi salmon? Best I've ever had. Seriously. There's also a great neighborhood vibe here. People are constantly walking in, the staff seems to know the regulars, and during dinner there's almost always a line. Apparently, we're not the only ones who figured out how good this place is. Now, there is one little Muse Sushi mystery: the Yelp waiting list. They have an online waiting list, which is great--except they turn it off sometimes. If it's slow, they don't need it. And if it gets REALLY busy, they apparently turn it off because the wait is so long they need to make sure they can actually close sometime this century. The problem is, when it's turned off, you have absolutely no idea what you're walking into. Is it a 15-minute wait? An hour? An hour and a half? Nobody knows! So my one humble request to the Muse Sushi crew: leave the waiting list on all the time. Even if it says "90-minute wait," at least we know what we're getting into and can decide whether the sushi is worth the wait--which, frankly, it probably is. Other than that, Muse Sushi is fantastic. Great food, great people, very fair prices, and a genuine local feel. Just tell us how long we're going to have to wait!

I ordered a spicy seafood udon, but it only contained two pieces of mussel, a few tough, dried calamari rings Finger size), a couple of tiny scallops about the size of baby fingernails, and three pieces of baby shrimp. The soup lacked any seafood flavor and had an overly salty, unappealing red color. The price seemed unreasonable compared to the quality of the food. It's no surprise that they only had two tables occupied on a Saturday afternoon at 1:30 PM. I recommend they consider changing the restaurant's name from "Sushi Kara" to "Kara Sushi." If they are truly Japanese, they would understand the significance of this.

I've had lunch here twice now since my office is nearby, and after searching for the past year for a go-to spot, I can confidently say I've found it. The space is clean, welcoming, and comfortable, exactly what you want when you're stepping out for a quick but satisfying lunch. The food? Consistently delicious. The sashimi is fresh and clean, with that perfect melt-in-your-mouth quality. The chicken teriyaki is also very good, flavorful, tender, and generously portioned. And the lunch combo is the real standout: about $14 gets you your entrée plus miso soup, salad, and rice. In this area, that price simply can't be beat. On top of that, sushi chef Luke is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Great service makes a big difference, and he absolutely delivers. I initially reached out about reserving a table for 40+ people during a basketball tournament weekend and was told the manager would contact me back. Sure enough, she called promptly to confirm everything for our Saturday dinner reservation. The entire process was seamless and incredibly easy, especially considering this was a larger-than-normal party. Taizy handled everything professionally. She seamlessly added the extra guests without hesitation. Her only request was that we send over everyone's food orders ahead of time so the kitchen could prepare and ensure nobody had to wait too long. And wow -- they absolutely delivered. Every single order came out accurately and in a very timely fashion. No mistakes, no confusion, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. The servers were organized, attentive, and handled a very large group with ease. Service was truly 10/10. One of the reasons I chose Kin Sushi for a large group dinner was because the menu truly has something for everyone -- udon, sushi rolls, vegetarian rolls, bento boxes, chirashi, sashimi, and something for everyone. They even had Thai iced tea, which isn't normally something in you have in a Japanese restaurant. Parking was very easy, which is always appreciated when coordinating a large party, and there's a restroom conveniently located in the back. I've been to restaurants in LB where the menu items start at $13 and up. such as Nick's, and the food and the ambiance are worth it. I can see why happy hour is busy and why they have a pretty big opening of hours for it, , but it shaves 1-2 dollars off if anything. Everything was like 19 an item. The menu sounds decent but the food didn't live up to the price tag. We ordered chicken lettuce wraps, Pei Wei is better or PF Changs, the shrimp tempura roll, the lobster roll, and the drunken noodles. My husband barely ate. Each dish he said was alright but wasn't worth eating I guess. Again I think it was fine but for the price wasn't worth the value in my opinion. Like the macadamias lobster roll - It sounded way better than it tasted. I've had a similar roll at sota and Houston's and I think there's is slightly lower in price and was better.
