I got the money together and went back asking to take care of things in a specific order (based on my funds and another treatment plan). But instead, Holly Schmitt, the office manager, refused all treatment, refused a refund for pre-paid services they did NOT perform and the cops were called on me while I was in my vehicle. Even the officer was confused and said I had every right to be in a public parking lot. Holly also lied multiple times about what the dentist said, telling me, "Doctor's orders and priority." She wasn't happy when I said that's not what the doctor told me. Dr. said, "It's your money, it's your mouth, we can do what you want." The cherry on top, I finally found and sent an email to 'corporate'. Few days later, Holly sent me a "Release of all Claims" form with a built in non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement. Asking me to give up my rights in order to receive a refund on services you didn't provide, is shady at best. Thank god this is not normal and the other dental offices I've been to have even asked; why weren't you allowed to make decisions for yourself, who are these people, what office is this, and are telling all their colleagues. I've had 3 appointments in 3 weeks with a different doctor, in the exact order I wanted treatment done with 0 complications. Save yourself the trouble, and go somewhere else!

Since that procedure, I have experienced ongoing problems because the dentures do not fit properly. They are uncomfortable, unstable, and make it extremely difficult for me to eat and live comfortably. I have repeatedly raised these concerns, yet I am now being told that the problem is my fault and that no correction will be made. I strongly disagree. I paid a significant amount of money for professional dental services, and I expect the work to be done correctly. Properly fitting dentures are not optional -- they are essential to my health and quality of life. As an older patient, this experience has been both physically and financially burdensome. I believe I deserve accountability and a reasonable effort to correct this issue. I am formally requesting that this matter be reviewed and resolved promptly. I am simply asking for properly fitted dentures and fair treatment

The dentist told me that I needed to have a tooth extracted and told me what the insurance would pay. I told her there would be no extractions done. Receptionist gave me a date and time for next appointment and I marked my calendar. I then get a call my appointment needed to be changed as the doctor was on vacation and I told her that I was scheduled a week later and all she wanted to do is argue with me that I was wrong. Went to my new date appointment and the girl doing my X-rays said I was there for an extraction and a crown and I told her no. I was there for a routine six month exam. Was not told that I would not have Dr. Sohi - the dentist that came in said she was filling in and if that was okay. Kind of late to ask me that. She continued to check my teeth and then cleaned them while giving me a shower at the same time. I mentioned to the girl that did the X-rays about the appointment mix up and she went on to say that I called in January to change the date which I never did. She wanted to schedule my next appointment and I told her no that is fine. I feel that this office just wants to keep selling you services that you do not need or want. I will continue looking for a new dentist just as I did six months ago.

I was informed that my final tooth extraction needed to be completed by an outside oral surgeon because the office did not have a surgeon who could perform the procedure. My understanding was that I would be referred to a specialist and then return to begin my aligner treatment. That did not happen. I never received the referral or the aligner treatment that I am disputing. Despite multiple attempts over the past several years to get answers, I have struggled to get a resolution. I recently learned that my CareCredit dispute was denied because Aspen Dental reported that I had received all of my services. I disagree with that conclusion and have requested copies of my records and the documentation supporting that determination. I also sent a formal written request to Aspen Dental, but I have not yet received a response. My goal has never been to avoid paying for services I actually received. I am simply asking for a fair review of the charges for services that I believe were never provided and for the documentation supporting Aspen Dental's position. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office until it is.

These charges weren't brought to my attention, nor were they explained at the time of payment--itemized receipts were only provided when specifically requested. This is the first time I have ever been charged a protection plan to insure dental work, and when I raised the issue, I was told that it was too late to reverse the charges. At no point was the fee pointed out to me; instead, it was added to my bill without explanation, making it seem as though it was intentionally slipped in without my knowledge. Given that the office cannot guarantee their dental work for a reasonable period without these extra charges, and considering the lack of transparency and the addition of what I see as unnecessary fees, I will not be going back to this practice. I believe it's important for practices to be upfront and honest with their billing, and unfortunately, my experience did not reflect this standard.

My cleaning and exam were thorough, and I left feeling confident that my concerns were being taken seriously. Unfortunately, my experience following that appointment, specifically regarding the referral to the periodontist, left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For that reason, I feel it is important to share my experience and the concerns I have about the referral process. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the referral process and my experience during my recent periodontal consultation. During my exam and cleaning, I discussed my concern regarding an open embrasure (black triangle) with my dentist. Based on that conversation, I was referred to a periodontist to discuss a gum graft as a possible solution. I scheduled the appointment and took time out of my day because I trusted that this referral was appropriate for my condition. At the consultation, the periodontist briefly examined the area, asked what my primary concern was, and after I explained that it was the embrasure, immediately stated that a gum graft would not correct an embrasure. He then said the general dentist would need to discuss restorative options such as a veneer or crown instead. After the appointment, I was told I owed a consultation fee. I questioned why I was being charged for a consultation regarding a treatment that the specialist immediately determined would not address my concern. I was then told the consultation was also intended to determine whether I was a candidate for a veneer or crown. That explanation does not align with the reason I was given for the referral. I was referred specifically to discuss a gum graft-not to obtain clearance for a veneer or crown. My concern is not that specialists charge consultation fees. My concern is that I was referred for a treatment that the specialist determined almost immediately was not an appropriate option for the condition I was referred to discuss. This resulted in an unnecessary appointment, wasted time, and an attempt to charge me for a consultation that, in my opinion, should never have been necessary if the appropriate evaluation had been completed before the referral. For that reason, I declined to pay the consultation fee. I don't believe that I should be financially responsible for a referral that appears to have been inappropriate from the outset. I am requesting a clear explanation as to why I was referred for a gum graft consultation when the specialist determined almost immediately that a gum graft would not resolve my primary concern. I also ask that your office review the referral process to help prevent other patients from experiencing the same situation.
