My tenant complained there is a spider problem, so I looked up yelp and found this guy. He came at the time promised, and did the job. When I paid him, he didn't give me a receipt, just said "trust me, I am the boss, and I will send you an update invoice to include the poison I've used." Well, that never happened. The bugs problem didn't go away, and as the invoice says to allow 3 weeks to let the poison take effect, I waited 3 weeks to call him to follow up. He came, and now there is TERMITE problem and he demanded another $375! I got this apartment for years and never encounter termite! read more

Called about a week in advance for a termite inspection/estimate at my residence. At the 90+ minute point in the two-hour arrival window (9:00 - 11:00 a.m.), I called Good Guys to check if I was on the calendar. I was told that the inspector was on his way and would arrive in five to ten minutes. When the inspector had not arrived by 11:45, I called the company to cancel the appointment. My call went to voice mail. If someone from the company had called, I would have rescheduled. I understand that the unexpected can cause delays. I had a bed bug problem for about 2 months before i bit the bullet and hired a professional to help me on this issue. I had tried other numerous home remedies and tips, but NOTHING worked. The price they gave me for my huge apartment wasn't as bad compared to other places and very reasonable. Guy and his wife came to my place to inspect it first and right away found signs of them. I was totally disgusted, since I was so vigilant on trying to find traces of them, but with no luck. I hope no one really ever gets this issue, because it takes over your home life which spreads to other things in your life. Anyway, I was really anxious that they wouldn't get rid of my bed bugs because I read on the internet how hard it was to get ride of them, but I had faith in them and had them exterminate the apt. It has now been almost two months since I last saw a live bed bug in my apt or have been bitten by one. The relief of being able to sleep now in my own bed without having to cover up from head to toe because I didn't want to get bit, is really priceless. If you really want to get rid of bed bugs, you need to 1) Follow the prep list to get your house/apt ready for extermination. I mean FULLY follow it. Don't half ass it, because then they might come back and who wants that? 2) Call these guys and get relief. I had bed bugs in my house and was being bitten like crazy so I looked these guys up on Yelp. They gave me my price up front, which was a little expensive for a student with a crappy paying job, but I looked up the pricing from other places and it was actually pretty cheap in comparison. Anthony explained up front exactly what I needed to do and what they were going to use to get rid of the bugs. He asked if they could come that day, but the prep work seemed like a little much, so I asked that they come a few days later. The prep work was pretty hefty, but worth it to get the bugs out. You have to wash everything; all clothes, towels, bedding, curtains etc. vacuum everything; all carpets, beds, couches, inside of dressers, and then take everything out of your closet. It took me a few days and I had no idea I had that many clothes. The guys were really nice when they got to my house (early I might add) and told us everything they were going to do. They said they might have to mess up my box spring a bit, but that was fine with me as long as the bugs were out. It takes about two hours and you have to be out of the house for that time. When I got back I could already tell how much work they did. I could smell it a little, but also I could see it around the edges of my bed frame. They are actually really thorough and I was pretty happy with that. I saw a few bugs within the next few days and got really worried I would have to pay another hefty sum so I called Anthony right away. He explained that the spray works kind of like a tear gas and gets them a little slowly as it dissipates over the next few days. He said that after 10 days if I still am having problems or seeing them around I should call them back. It's pretty nice to have some back up out there! Well it's been about two weeks now and I haven't seen any bugs in awhile now. Still a little skeptical as these bugs are the hardest to kill, so it's still a little early, but I haven't been bitten since their visit!! If there are still bugs around they at least can't get to my bed and that is a huge relief. If I start seeing anymore, I might edit this review later. These guys were great though and I highly recommend them. For anyone with bed bug problems, I also highly recommend getting some casings for your mattress and box spring for after the spray as I think its helping me in my case. Sorry for the novel, but for those with bed bugs, it's nice to know there is someone else out there feeling the pain in the butt that it is and to have first hand accounts of getting rid of them. I called and asked for help with a pesky ant problem. While they were going to come, I asked for a termite inspection. The guy showed up that day and sprayed for the ants. I asked about termites and he seemed puzzled. He told me that his boss didn't tell him about that service. He got out his cell phone and attempted to use his flashlight app for inspecting. That didn't work and he said he didn't have a flashlight with him (isn't that a tool of the trade?). He asked to set up another appointment for the next morning. After waiting a reasonable amount of time, I called Good Guys and was told that the technician called in sick. The guy on the phone told me that the technician isn't allowed to schedule appointments. I told the guy on the phone I needed a termite inspection for my house. He told me that he would call me back after lunch. Two days later, still no call. I went through this with realtors, handymen, contractors and other professionals. I'm not chasing down an exterminator. I called Viking and got immediate service. Bye, bye, Good Guys. I had the biggest nightmare scheduling an appointment with this place. Seriously laughable. I called on a Thursday for the first time. Guy quoted me over the phone for a flea treatment. He asked if they could come today, and I said no because I need to board my dog and asked if they could come the next day (Friday). He says no problem. A few hours later I get a phone call from Good Guys saying the technician is on their way. I was so confused and said, no you're supposed to come tomorrow. Awkward few second silence. "Oh huh ok..... well we'll come tomorrow sorry about that". No problem! The next day, I put my dog in boarding and waited for the call. My window ended and no one called or showed up. So i called them. Guy told me he had to call me back. 30 minutes later he said there was a scheduling issue and could they come next Tuesday. They would even take $50 off. I said sure! Tuesday rolls around.. I put my dog in boarding again and call to confirm my appointment given the cluster of last week. Guy fumbles around and says let me call you back... 30 minutes later I get a call back that the tech is on their way. 90 minutes later and no tech so I call again. Guy answers again, sounds confused, and says let me call you back. After 30 more minutes I get no phone call. It was starting to get late and I was so upset - I had paid $50 to board my dog and taken 5 hours total off work to do this. So I called him. He starts copping an attitude with me and says they should be there. I said no they aren't here. So he tells me he will call me back. Calls me 20 minutes later and said there is a job around the corner from my house and they will be there ASAP. I said OK but I only have 30 more min before I need to go back to work. He was sounding super irritated with me, said "ok fine!" and hung up without saying goodbye. Super rude! So tl;dr... TOTALLY unprofessional. Scheduling nightmare. Rude service. I only gave the extra star because the flea problem seems to be improving and the $50 off was a nice gesture. I wouldn't recommend them and would never book again. read more

Without question...use these guys!! I bought my house at the end of December and Good Guys were hired by the old owner to do the inspections. They came and thoroughly inspected the house and spot treated what little termite activity they found. Three months later, we had subterranean swarmers invade our new home--OH NO!! When I called Good Guys, they were friendly and quick to respond. Anthony (Guy) was very professional and backed up his original work without question. Full disclosure: my roommate negotiated the terms with this company, as his room was the one infested with bedbugs. The guy on the phone told my roommate they would have to spray the entire apartment, but my roommate wanted the workers to come check the place out before any final decisions were made. The day the exterminators came, they took a look around the place (including my room), and concluded that the infestation (which was pretty bad) was only in my roommate's room. They didn't find evidence of bedbugs elsewhere. They seemed pretty confident that they could clear up the problem just by spraying his room. They also agreed to do two follow up treatments (a total of three). After a few weeks of the first treatment, I made an unfortunate discovery: my room, which was originally clean, now has bed bugs. The guy on the phone implied that it was our fault since we only agreed to do one room. In our defense, had the exterminators said something to the effect of "we strongly suggest we spray the entire apartment, not just this bedroom," I think my roommate would have agreed to that. In any case (they claim my roommate insisted only on spraying one room so he could save money. I don't agree.), if the exterminators knew there was a high chance of the bugs scattering into other rooms of the apartment, why would they agree to spraying one room, even when they admitted they knew it was a pretty bad infestation? After a pretty heated conversation with the guy on the phone, he agreed to spray the rest of the apartment if we paid the difference (the price between one room versus the entire apartment). After much thought, I declined the offer and decided to go with a different company. read more

When I first discovered my pest problem it was a Sunday and the next day was a holiday, I called around but most exterminators were closed. Guy from Good Guys Exterminators came out same day, on a holiday to spray my house. Wow excellent customer service! We needed a termite inspection ASAP after another company failed to show for a Saturday appointment. I wasn't having much luck finding another company until I called Good Guys and I'm glad I did. I was very impressed with the customer service I received. I scheduled an appointment and Jr. was very prompt in coming to my home. We felt very comfortable with his explanation and knowledge of what we needed to have done. He did the inspection, gave a detailed report for a very reasonable price. Where should I start... BEDBUGS!!!!!! They literally took over my life:(( I went to sleep every night with a bottle of alcohol, a wipe, and a flashlight. I would lose so much sleep it was affecting my life, as well as my kids. There would be so many nights where I couldn't sleep and I would want to go to the living room but I didn't want leave my kids there to get eaten alive! If you've ever had bedbugs u know what I'm talking about. I never even heard of bedbugs other then the rhyme "sleep tight don't let the bedbugs bite" now it makes sense... I also never seen them. I wanted to wait on doing my review to make sure that the bugs didn't come back within the 14 days guarantee date or satisfaction period Because I was going to do a review on that issue if they didn't fix the problem Although they did warn me that eggs probably would hatch and I might see one or two here and there in about 12 days but they would die. Which I did find one, I flipped out and called the good guys btw the guy was super nice. you have to do lots of preparation and bagging everything up washing everything in sight I loaded it all up then while they sprayed went to the laundry mat. Long story still really long yea it's pricier then big spray but damn it was sooo worth it!! I sleep through the whole night!!! Traveled on business, came home and woke up with bites. Dr. said it was "bed Bugs"! Reviewed exterminators in the area and found Good Guys. Called at 6:38pm, they came to my home within 10 minutes: thoroughly checked bedding, bed, surrounding furniture, fixtures etc and told me I did not have bed bugs. I was bitten while on travel, but there was no visible sign of the bugs. I asked them to do the treatment anyway; they are coming back in 7 days to follow up. Jr. (pest controller) was professional and knowledgeable. He showed me samples of the bugs in different stages, their eggs, droppings and answered all my questions. Good Guys? Not so good. We called them in Nov 2013 to check some areas that we suspected had a termite issue. They came out, inspected and confirmed our suspicions. They recommended a treatment (drill around the house and inject the stuff into the ground around the house) which we did, and paid over $1100.00 for. Less than a year later we noticed the same signs of termite activity and called them back. We made an appt and they did not show up. I called again and they claimed "no record of my appt." so I rescheduled. They came back out and guess what - we had a "new, different problem". They said we had termites under the house, even though that's what we asked them to inspect for in the first place. I told them that and that it was rediculous that they now wanted me to pay again for another treatment less than a year after the first one. They guy said he would talk to the boss and get back to me. I never heard back from them. I called another exterminator and they told me the drilling around the house thing was a hit or miss fix and that with our type of house (crawl space underneath) it was usually ineffective and a waste of my hard earned $1100.00 !!! Extremely dissatisfied with this company. I'll start off on a positive note: they did come out on a Sunday, that's where the nice-ness stopped. We had a rat in the walls. $300 and 5 peanut butter mouse traps later, he said "Okay I'll be back on Wednesday to check on them." Wednesday came and went. I called, "Yeah I'll be back in the office around 8pm, I'll call you back then." No return phone call, no follow-up visits. Thanks for nothing. After catching my fingers in their traps, I caught the rat myself, my own way. I usually give people/businesses the benefit of doubt, but when you fool me once, shame on you..fool me twice, shame on me. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THIS EXTERMINATOR! Worst service I have ever received from a business. - LATE or NO SHOW for every appointment except the first one - which is when you pay. -We cancelled the contracted job and asked for reimbursement for work not done - still haven't received our money back. - In the end we did more for our mice problem than they did. I am sharing our full experience to support the horrible review. We had a mice problem. Called on a Sunday, Guy answered and came out that day. Paid for 4 visit to the house plus he was going to patch up holes so the mice would not be able to enter the house (which was two separate charges). That first day he put down sticky traps with a bit of bait on them - which I thought odd since anyone can buy these at hardware stores, but I asked for something that wasn't toxic because we have a baby and dog. He said he would be back in two days to check over everything and patch the holes on the outside of the house. He would have his "office" call and schedule a time. I never received a call, so I called them. Guy answered and said he was sorry he thought they had called me but he can't make it back on the day he original said and rescheduled. The second visit was set for Thursday. Thursday came and he didn't show up in the slotted time set - I called and he had an excuse but finally arrive 1 hour late. BUT we he arrived he said he couldn't stay long because he had to leave for personal reasons and wouldn't be able to patch the outside hole. He would do it at the next appointment. He added new sticky traps and left - BUT not before spending 10 minutes trying to convince me to other services he could provide (couldn't he have patched the holes in that time?) He again said he would be back for the third appointment and I should call his office to set it up. Which I did the next day and it was he who answered the phone and set it. The day for the third appointment arrived and yet again Guy did not show during the time slot set. I called and texted for an hour until I finally received a response back - He texted back saying he was in the emergency room from bee stings and couldn't make it that day. I texted back and said that's fine please have your "office" call and set the new time. He responded back saying he couldn't do that because all of his "office employees" were away for the day at school. (I was beginning to believe there is no "office"). With a gut feeling - I asked my husband to call (under a different name) and see if he would answer (since we always called from my phone) well Guy DID answer his call and said he could help with his issue the next day. I waited three more days till Guy returned my multiple calls/text to set my next appointment. It was finally set and yet again - he didn't show. I was calling and calling to see why he wasn't showing - no answer. I had a friend call and YUP he answered. Finally the last time I was able to get him on the phone I told him I know longer wanted his services and expected to be reimbursed for the work not finished - the hole patching. After a bunch of excuses and reasons why he had problems getting here he finally agreed to pay back the amount. That was over two months ago and he has still not reimbursed us. I hired Good Guys to take care of a rat problem in my house. They were good about coming right out. I told him we heard rats in our walls but he did not inspect our attic. He barely walked down into our basement and placed a few traps. We were told that it would be $300. for four visits and he should be able to get them. He walked around our house and said for another $110.00 he would fix the places the rats were probably getting into the house and he would fix them on the third time out. The next day there were three dead rats and we called and he came out the next day and put more rat traps, into the basement. Once again he never completely inspected the basement. Once again he did not go into the attic, nor did he check anywhere else in the house for rats. We called him to come out and put traps in the attic because we could hear them in the attic. He came and opened the attic and put traps in where his hands could reach. He never crawled in and inspected the attic, and said he would be back in four days but did not fix the entry into the house. four days later when I tried to call him to schedule an appointment he would not answer my calls or texts only when I called from another phone did they answer. He came out but no rats were caught. He still did not fix the entry way into the house but told me he would be by the next day. He NEVER called nor did he SHOW UP. The next day he never showed up again. Now I am trying to find someone else to fix this problem. Waist of time and money. read more
