We are writing this after the fumigation because we are absolutely not satisfied the service and believe our property did not handled in professional manners.  Please see below statements:    ·         We were NOT contacted for our fumigation appointment until the day prior of the service, and we had to call Bug Central to confirm the time.   ·         We were told workers would arrive our property to remove the tarp at 7 AM in the morning, we were waiting for TWO hours due to workers' tardiness.   ·         Upon arrival of my neighbor's property, workers did not ring the door bell and instead, they shook the door gate vigorously for access.   ·         We saw workers did not carefully handle our property as we kept reminding them not to vigorously pull the tarp for removal. As result, multiple tiles were fallen off from the roof in front of us and workers did not apologize or do anything about it further.  Also during the process, worker was found stepping on my neighbor's air-conditioner without asking permission. (see photo)   ·         We were advised approximately 20 pieces of tiles were damaged prior the service, however after service inspection, person in charge (Gustavo) advised us there were approximately 60 pieces of tiles were damaged. We are requesting the written record copy which indicated 20 pieces of tiles damage at the time of inspection before service but request was declined.  We hired professional appraiser for roof repairing and they reported there were over 100 pieces of tiles were damaged,  we can find that damages were caused by mishandling during the fumigation process.     Due to unprofessional mishandling, and more importantly, the cost of house roof repairing is way more than this fumigation service. read more

Gabe is great. The subcontractors are not very good at all. If they worked like Gabe, I'd give the company 5 stars, sadly, they have zero accountability and their quality of work is low. I had my house tented and dry rot removed. The workers never even put a tarp down before priming the wood, so they ended up painting my lawn. They also cut a bush down without asking. read more

We recently used Bug Central to fumigate our home for termites. The inspectors did a thorough investigation and as other inspectors recommended a tent fumigation because the termites were in several areas of the house (you could see termite exit holes on the walls). We choose Bug Central because of the decent user reviews and the best pricing. They were significantly less that another Pest Control company (we had used an online coupon, however even without the coupon they were still priced over $1k less than initial quotes from others). I believe Bug Central outsources the fumigation work. The tent and fumigation crew came as scheduled. And the work was complete after 4 days/3 nights. One thing we noticed is that they did not call to tell us when we could move back in the house, so we just called them up and they gave us the information. I highly suggest trying your luck with a reputable company. I paid for termite fumigation with vikane gas. The tent was not secured properly and blew open. One of my neighbors noticed and called the company. They came out and closed it up again and promised the termites are dead. It was supposed to be 3 days, however it was more like 1 day, but they say all termites are dead anyway. I take pictures of the termites, had them come back out. They just come over and poke and smash more holes in my wood and say they don't find them and that I cannot exercise my guarantee. The real problem is that Bug Central is a middle man and they use pacific coast termite to do the work. It costs them money to guarantee the work. So they avoid it at all costs to maintain profits. These yelp review people are applauding the subcontractor's work, not Bug Central. I say skip the middleman and avoid the horrible issues with this company. No evidence is sufficient unless they find the termites themselves, and they only look in the places they wont be. Watch out for this SCAM! read more

Ken and everyone at Bug Central is a pleasure to work with. We found out about bug central when our previous landlords hired three termite inspectors to inspect their house. Out of all three, Ken spent the most time, went all the way through the attic (whereas others just flashed a light around) and did the most thorough inspection. He really stood out among all three and that made an impression on me. We decided to use Ken and Bug Central as a 2nd opinion inspection on our new home, and he found more problem areas than the other company and highly recommended tenting while the house was empty whereas the other company did not specify tenting was necessary. Bug Central's bid for work was only $300 higher than the other company who did the initial inspection, but Bug Central's INCLUDED tenting and a lot more exterior and subfloor treatment and remediation! Dollar for dollar we are extremely confident we got much more effective treatment and service for our dollar than if we had used the first company who inspected. Everything was on time, as planned and couldn't ask for a smoother process. Definitely worth calling them if you need an inspection and hiring them if you want things done properly and efficiently! read more

For two years, bug central and my family had a great relationship. We paid and they provided quarterly service and in between visits as needed. Unfortunately, through some glitch with their billing info, our automatic payments did not go through. My wife spoke to the owner who rather than try and resolve the issue, wanted to charge us for the start up fee. We gladly paid our past due bill and would have gladly continued to pay for their service but the owner wanted to be stubborn and punish a customer. read more

We hired Bug Central 3-4 years ago to provide us with monthly pest and bug service as well as annual termite work. On the pest and bug service, it was uneven. Some months they did a good job, others they kind of went through the motions. It really depended upon who they sent. The past few months, they have pretty much barely managed to do it at all - slept through it....... Biggest issue has had to do with annual termite service. Each year when it comes time to schedule the appointment, it becomes an adventure. There is one person that does the work. We have called their office not less than 15 times trying to set up the annual termite inspection. We talk to the office receptionist who tells us they will pass on the request to the inspector who calls back usually about one week later. When we return their call, the process begins all over again. They are irresponsible, they can't set up appointments for the inspector and I am surprised they can actually run the business profitably. they ultimate insult was that after more than 15 calls to their office to set up the annual inspection, we received a letter from Bug Central today that they were cancelling our service because we have failed to schedule an appointment in a timely manner. I cannot believe these guys - bad businessmen and an insulting letter to boot! Find another company for pest control and termite work. read more

Bug Central took care of the termites! After buying my house and having the seller's pest control company tent the house my family moved in and within a few months we had termites. I called the previous company and they suggested it was just spiders. They came out (reluctantly) and "treated" the termites again but it didn't stop those little pests. I called Bug Central and right away they identified the termites and source of them (subs). They treated the area and now, over 3 years later I just had Bug Central out for a check-up and our house is still termite free! I trust Bug Central and will call them first in the future. read more

We were having a roach problem in my office a couple months ago and called Bug Central. They came out right away and were very professional, thorough, and genuinely concerned about taking care of the problem. They have since been out a couple times to service our office to make sure the roaches are under control and I feel confident that I will not be seeing any more roaches scurrying around my feet. I can work in peace! It is comforting to know that if we do have any other issues with roaches or other pests we can call them and know they will be out right away to take care of the problem. In the last 6 months I've left no less than 4 messages with no returned call. I wanted wood repair and termite work. I'll call someone else I guess. I have used Bug Central for a few years now on two different homes. Simon came out most recently and helped with a few pest problems. He was on time, very informative and addressed all my concerns. I like this company for many reasons. They are easy to reach and schedule, they will come out as often as you want with appointments available usually the same week you call, they are thorough and effective with getting rid of all pests we have had. Do not recommend this company at all! They subcontracted my house fumigation, and the company that did it was really bad. They broke some of my front house water sprinkles. The fumigation was not done right, and 3 Months later I had termites again, so It was a problem getting the company to get the subcontractor to do it right! The guys that did the fumigation, did not say anything, but broke lots of roof tiles while putting the tent. Which cost me over $2000.00 to get a roofer to replace the broken tiles. Do not waste your money with this company. You are going to end up paying lots more later, when you have to fix everything they mess up, and stated are not responsible for. Bug Central did a great job for me. This was my first time needing to call a pest control company to take care of a rat that got in the attic of the house I moved into last month. I called several companies late in the afternoon hoping to get someone out the same day. Bug Central was willing to come out after hours at no extra charge to look at my problem. The service man was very helpful and answered all my questions. He checked the attic and figured out how the rat was getting in. Their was no sign of the rat so they sealed up the entry hole and set up some traps just in case. I was really happy and at piece going to sleep. Scott Clem came to check out my place and gave me a very fair price for the treatment of the termite damage vs. the other two companies. He was very professional, a gentleman, informative, took time explained the treatment processes. This was my first time using Bug Central. Scott sent a crew of three to replace back termite infestations fascia, siding and fascia trim and treated the sidings. Altriset was used in a specific area of the interior ceiling where subterranean termites were found. The crew of three were very courteous, nice, worked hard and did a great job. I found what appeared to be evidence of termites. I contacted my regular pest control company--Terminex. They dispatched an "expert" who inspected 3 sites and determined I needed to tent and fumigate my entire home at a cost of $3,000. We were told to bag our food and move to a hotel for four days while they fumigated. I decided to seek a second opinion from Bug Central. Bug Central sent out a technician named Gabriel who spent time showing me the various area of infestation and took the time to explain the process for treatment. Long story short- Bug Central locally treated the area and guaranteed it for a year. Their cost was more than half of Terminex and Gabriel came back to do the work. Great company! read more

Customer service has dropped significantly over past year that I have had them on contact. They used to make your issue seem important for them to solve now when I call it seems like I am a bother. Additionally, I have not seen an improvement with their product in remediation of ants. I have ants everywhere in my back yard and they say next available appointment is in 9 days. Inspector damaged house more than termites. Manager never called back to field complaint. Instead, the inspector called to tell me what a good job he did even though I was very unhappy with it. We obviously did not trust them with our house to do any work on it after what they did during the inspection. I recommend you do not even call them for an inspection. read more

This is the worst termite company ever. I don't know how they stay in business. I talked to someone there and they took down incorrect information. On the day of the inspection the person refused to do the job. I spoke to someone else back at the office. They told me I lied to them, treated me rudely, and threatened to cancel the job, I was shocked. I have been through many termite inspections and have never been spoken to like that. I asked to speak to the manager and it turns out I WAS SPEAKING TO THE MANAGER!. Completely unprofessional he extorted money from me then and there because I had no time to reschedule. I stupidly paid them on the spot, and basically wound up throwing my money away. These are the most unprofessional people I have ever come across. They can not possibly stay in business much longer.
