    Catfish basket

I had to go to Manor for a job, I asked my client for lunch recommendation, and they recommended Good Luck Grill. I could see it was popular based upon the parking lot and the building and grounds appeared to be well cared for. Inside, you place your order at a counter shared with the kitchen. My order taker was well spoken and articulate. The menu had quite a selection but my client advised me to do the catfish. I settled on the catfish basket but, if I get the chance to return, I'll go with one of their dinner plates. The dining area is decorated really well -- you can tell they give the place a lot of attention. The bathrooms were a bit small but clean and all new fixtures. What's that music I hear playing? Johnny Cash? Oh yeah -- I'm in a good place. If you get the catfish, watch your first bite because boy howdy it comes out HOT! My fish was cooked to perfection and unbelievably light and flakey. The basket included some very tasty fries as well. It was more than I could put away so I brought about 1/3 of the meal home. My only wish would be for better flatware because they only provide light duty plastic. Not enough of a bother to lose a star though. I'd go back anytime I'm in Manor.

My wife and came here after coming here 9 years ago. I remember finding this place back in the day taking back roads home. Well folks as many of you already know it no longer on a back road. Manor has grown tremendously and so much it's almost touching Pflugerville. Alright, back to reviewing this place again. It's grown on the inside since we last came. Read the signs for the entry way. Definitely plenty of parking and seating. I highly recommend sitting outside if it is nice outside or you have kids that you just want to run and play around to get their energy out. I had to stick with my favorite chicken fried steak. It's one of the best places for this country meal. My wife just got a hamburger, I cannot remember which one. Overall, I didn't feel bloated or have to take a to go bag. They do offer alcoholic beverages. The service with the staff is still amazing and professional. The staff provided us a delightful customer experience. They do accept Apple Pay; however, not where you order in front of you. I recommend this place as it's one of the best locally owned places in the area.

We love this place because it's so close to our house & has a great space in the back for kids to run around and play! We've taken many guests to this spot because all the food is fried food that's easy to please and yummy!

Me and the Mrs decided to stop in here again for an evening meal. I got the double cheeseburger which was almost more than I could handle and her grilled chicken salad was fresh and tasty. Dbl Cheeseburger, salad, onion rings, and two craft beers came to $45 without tip. Read the previous review for more information.

I was craving for a fried chicken burger so I decided to try this from Good Luck Grill. Mỹ go to is always their burgers because they make it consistently exceptional and welled seasoned. My fried chicken burger was drier than this Texas summer heat. It was rough and under seasoned. The chicken breast have been pounded out too thin. Their chili cheese fries however is the best chili cheese fries I've had in a while! That chili was delicious and I will order that again when I return! Cheese was gooey and melted with the chili. The fries cheese pull was awesome. We devour that chili cheese fries! The chili was not spicy which is great for a nonspicy eater like myself. Just thinking of the chili cheese fries is making me crave for it. I will be stop by soon to get a burger and chili cheese fries!!

This is one of those places to which I immediately start planning a return visit. It sounded like a good place for lunch when I was in the area, so I came hungry. There's a walk up counter for placing your order, so don't make the embarrassing mistake I made and assume the customer leaning against what looks like a hostess stand will seat you. The lady who took actually my order was helpful and friendly, and got my Fried Catfish basket to me so quickly that I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh-from-the-fryer my food tasted. The catfish was among the best I've had anywhere, and the four fillets were more than I could finish. The one I took home tasted nearly as good after I popped it in the air fryer hours later. The fries and hush puppies were also good, and I enjoyed it all on a really nice covered patio overlooking a big yard. The rest of the menu also looked good. I'll be back for CFS, burgers, or chicken.

I got the bacon cheeseburger which came with plenty of bacon, but no lettuce or tomato. The fries were nothing special and needed plenty of ketchup to make them interesting which is why I was hoping for onion rings. The wife faired better with her chicken fajitas. From the moment we walked in, the hostess gave us a warm welcome, and we were seated right away. It took our server a little while to get to our table, but she arrived with waters in hand, which was appreciated. We started with the fried green tomatoes. They were good, though I've definitely had better back home in Houston. For my entrée, I ordered the Badass Bacon Plate, and it absolutely hit the spot. Everything on the plate was delicious, from the thick-cut slab of bacon to the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. I especially appreciated that the eggs were seasoned before cooking, something I don't often see at restaurants, and it really made a difference. The hash brown casserole was also fantastic and tied the whole meal together. My brother ordered the fried chicken biscuit and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. We were excited to try the food, and were hungry. Our server appeared (I can't remember his name but he was a short guy with blond hair). I ordered a cocktail and my husband ordered beer to begin with. He went away and then came back asking my husband if he wanted some whiskey cocktail, and we corrected him that we had asked for a particular beer. No big deal. We then ordered the deviled eggs and shishito peppers, and the red fish and short ribs for entree. A lady brought us the drinks, and the deviled eggs. Our server swung by and then disappeared. We thought the shishito peppers were on their way. We waited for what seemed like a really long time and still no shishito peppers. We also noticed that each table had a carafe of water except ours. We were just given water once, and then our server never bothered to fill the water up. Anyway, we kept waiting since there was no sign of the server. At this point, we felt he might have forgotten the second appetizer and we just did not want it, but he was nowhere to be found. A man (not our server) brought out our entrees. We then told him that we had been waiting for our second appetizer and would just want to cancel it. We asked if we could get the biscuits instead. He brought out the biscuits within a few minutes. Now this is where it really annoyed us. Had our server just come over and said he had forgotten our shishito peppers, it would have been okay. Human. What he tried was act smart and dropped by saying the shishito peppers would be out to which we said that we didn't want an appetizer after an entree and had cancelled it. I almost felt like he was treating us as if he thought we don't really dine out or whatever and he could just make fools of us. This really didn't sit right with me. We asked him for water and he filled it up left. The food was above average. The short ribs were good but my red fish had been hammered! The biscuits were good. The deviled eggs were good as well. Anyway, we finished our meal, and got the check, paid, and were waiting to finish our drinks. The receipt was on our table. Also, note, it was not a particularly busy day with several empty tables. What our server did next was absolutely unacceptable. I think he wanted to see if we had tipped him after his awful service. We did, but not 20% as we always do because of the soddy job he did, not to mention his attitude. We paid 15% which I think was more than what he deserved now. Out of nowhere, and mind you, after being absent for long periods before, he just came by, grabbed the paid up bill from our table to our shock, while we were still sitting and talking, looked at the bill, turned towards us, and muttered something angry under his breath and walked away. I have never seen this level of entitlement and bad behavior. We left right away. We had been really looking forward to this meal but I would not want to go back. The food was good, but not great, and I would not want to put up with such obnoxious behavior as a paying customer.
