Stopped in with a group of friends and we had a variety of dishes. The food was plentiful, large portions. The service was ok.

Used to come to this place more with friends who live in the area, the dishes were decent. Recently came back and was greeted with a "C" health score at the door - "B" is bad enough, "C" is another level. We still dined in but some of the food tasted off - the ribs tasted like it had gone bad. I didn't send it back but would probably never come back again. There are many other options in the area, don't wanna risk my health.

First time trying out this Cantonese restaurant in Auburndale. We reserved a table for 8 at 6pm on a Saturday. We got a parking spot right in front of the restaurant in their lot. They have tablecloths and lazy Susans on the large round tables-- perfect for large groups. We ordered several dishes to share. My only complaint was a strange flavor on the steamed flounder but a few others said it tasted fine (I wasn't the only one who didn't like the strange unknown flavor). Otherwise, the service was attentive -- plate change mid meal.

I've only been here for lunch special as well as takeout for my family dinners, but this is a 10 out of 10. The price point is very affordable and the portion size is quite large. For lunch special, they are offered every single day which is a big plus. Most dishes are only $10 and come with rice and a soup. You can get many of the classic Cantonese dishes such as peeking pork chop and braised fish and tofu. The flavor is really good and the portions are quite big for lunch. Every time I come, I get leftovers that I can eat for another meal or two. Service is good as well as they come by and fill up your teapot often.

One of my favorite canto restaurants. Their dishes have a lot of wok hei. I can always rely on this restaurant to deliver an excellent meal for our celebratory occasions. Space can be a tight so make sure to come before the dinner rush. We came on a Sunday night around 5pm and it wasn't too busy.

We went on Thursday for lunch. We got the last available table. There's a few round tables with a lazy susan in the middle. We did not get one of those unfortunately. I think we were the only people in the restaurant who did not speak Chinese. The staff are really friendly. Their English was just enough for us to order. I tried to get some crispy noodles for the soup, but our waitress did not know what i was talking about. lol. It's ok. The soup was really delicious and did not need anything. I just love those crispy noodles. We ordered a bunch of things to share; Started with this beef soup that was a lot like Chicken corn soup, but instead of chicken it had seasoned ground beef. General Toa's chicken (lunch special size), lobster noodles, honey pork ribs, crispy 1/2 of a chicken. Everything was really delicious.

My all time favorite canto restaurant! You know it's a classic when it's always full of families eating here. It's small and cozy, and the servers are really nice and attentive. Truly can't go wrong with any dish at this place!! There are a couple I always get: - egg tofu with mushrooms (casserole like bowl) - string beans with ground meat - lobster - steamed fish - filet mignon - clams/snails - roast duck - lamb chops - GET. THESE. and the list goes on!

3.5 stars Good Luck Kitchen is a Cantonese restaurant with a small parking lot out front that is shared by the nearby businesses. I ordered to go. It can take a while during busy time, so call ahead if you are picking up. They have various barbecue meats. I came mainly to try the roast duck but it was average. The skin is not crispy and the duck is less oily, but that also means less flavor. I thought it was a bit bland. I also had the cuttlefish which was decent. Cuttlefish doesn't have much flavor to begin with. The fish with green beans was good and flavorful. It does have ground meat mixed it. Not worth going out of your way for unless you are nearby.

Their food never disappointed me, food also served quickly. I do wish they have more tables, they are usually busy on the weekends during dinner. They get very busy during lunch on the weekends too, if you want to order take out, best to call in advance. The Pig Ears W. Hot & Spicy Sauce is one of my favorite appetizer. You have to try it if you like spicy food. Fried pork chop and Sautéed Sliced Fish W. Chive & Vegetable are among my favorite too.

Lobster was perfectly cooked. Wait time for the lobster sticky rice wasn't long. 15 min. Place was packed.

Honestly, the food in this restaurant is great. BUT THE SERVICE SUCKS! Especially the cashiers and the guy that cuts the meat in front. I live close by and my family enjoys the food also, but none of us can stand how bad the service is every time we come here. That's why I decided to write the one star review. We order roast pork today and ask for it to be half fat half skinny and the rude cashier replied "this is the best piece we have". We came home opened up the box and received mostly skinny roast pork, it is so dry and hard to chew. Flushing is opening more and more restaurants that also makes good Chinese food. We rather make the travel into flushing for good Chinese food and better services than to spend our money here and great treated rudely every time. A friendly note to the owner: Just because your restaurant has better business now, does not mean you and your employees can get cocky. This type of attitude will make you lose customers then keep. A restaurant that cannot keep their customers always have problems lasting long. We use to come here and have dinners a lot. But now we are no longer interested in spending money where we get treated rudely. This review is not to complain about your food, it's about the service your restaurant now gives. Wish you the best of luck.

The dwindling Canto options across the boroughs has been a sore spot for NYC's dining scene. That makes places like Good Luck Kitchen a worthy place to hold onto, not just as a patron but as a figure in a community that could most certainly use it. They've been a Flushing favorite amongst locals, and is one of the true Canto spots that are still left in the area. The Chinese name ("粤唯鮮") has a much deeper meaning than its current English name would suggest. It is more akin to sort of like, "only Cantonese delicacies" which feels pretty significant especially for anyone who knows Canto. Despite how casual and homey the place is, I'd say the name is quite fitting. Unlike many other restaurants in the neighborhood, GLK actually has some semblance of a dedicated parking with a few spots out front. The restaurant itself is small, but they've managed to cram a good number of people at any given time and is surprisingly group friendly. Bathrooms could be avoided and the interior is a bit worn but still has a homey vibe. On a food front, I'm happy. Their lobster longevity noodles (龍蝦伊麵) have that oily aftertaste to them and is a hearty dish for how premium it is. Shrimp with scrambled egg (蝦仁炒蛋) and salt and pepper tofu (椒鹽豆腐) are both good, while the classic staple shrimp with mayo (蜜汁合桃虾) is passable. Their house soup was excellent and their pan fried flounder (乾煎龍利) was one of the better ones I've had. I am also impressed with their range of roasted meats (燒味) on display and would love to dive in deeper into those the next time I'm back. Overall, I was happy with the service and extremely impressed with my visit. It is a place that I wish was in my neighborhood and I sincerely hope they continue to stick around Flushing for a very long time.

How advance do I need to place order for a whole roast duck and two order of mayo walnut shrimp for this coming Saturday?

Call a day before. The issue is not the mayo walnut shrimp. They can make that right away. The roast duck may sell out since it's a Saturday. So call a day before to secure both your items

How advance I need to place order for holidays ( ie Thanksgiving, Christmas) for pick up? Thank you

For Thanksgiving Dinner, order at noon for a 5 p.m. pickup. Do not pickup any later than 5 p.m., or else you'll be standing in line for hours.

Do you deliver? I have parents that are 88 and 94 years old that don't drive. I order food for them often and I live in Florida. I have ordered from other chinese restaurants and had food delivered. Would like to order from your restaurant regularly.

Sorry we don’t make delivery at this time-pick ups are available.

Yelp said that they deliver, but when I called, they said they didn't deliver. What app offers delivery from this place? Not UberEast.....please let me know. Thank you.

We have our own delivery driver. We deliver on orders over 30$. Maybe our delivery driver called out that day.. sorry for the confusion! Thank you

Does anyone know why they're closed? TIA

The boss son said they will reopen on Feb!

Service was minimal at best but they just seemed under staffed honestly. And when the server did come by, she was running quickly to and from. The place was not busy when my friends and I were seated. But there was a back room in guessing that had occupants since she was missing in the front seating area. (There was a two person table occupied in the front near us). My party of three over ordered but that was intentional because, any purchase over $100, you get a free lobster and each of us had items we wanted, figured we would doggie bag the leftovers. All in all a great value. The lunch spread had over 7 dishes and we got the free lobster. I was especially happy to see Fried Milk on the menu as an appetizer. They also provide complimentary salted peanuts and pickled radish and carrot slivers. I recommend the snow pea shoots, fried milk, clams with black bean sauce and the Chinese Broccoli with Filet beef. The other dishes like the lobster, noodles and sweet and sour pork were executed well but just not my flavor profile. And with my food allergy, I couldn't try the shrimp with walnuts but it was my friends' birthday so she ordered that for her treat. It looked great! We were famished and only focused on what yummy dishes to order. My wife, son and daughter all contributed their suggestions and we ended up ordering pan fried whole flounder, half of the roast chicken with garlic, filet mignon with Chinese broccoli, fried rice with chicken and salted fish and everyone's favorite dish salt & pepper squid. Once we placed our order and were enjoying the roasted peanuts and free spicy cabbage we realized why everyone had their winter coats on, it felt like they had the AC on and it must have been 55° in the restaurant. I told everyone that once the food arrived things would warm up. Each dish that came out of the kitchen was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The salt & pepper squid with it's minced jalapeños kept us warm enough until the half chicken with garlic and filet mignon and Chinese broccoli came out in rapid succession. The star of the show turned out to be the giant sized pan fried flounder which was not only big but quite scrumptious. Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The last dish to come out was a very large plate of chicken fried rice with salted fish. If it were not for the lack of heat, I would have given Chef Wong Bistro 5 stars!

Definitely felt very conversational with family. Was not too quiet or too loud. Food: I don't think that the dim sum here was that good. It didn't wow me as much as I was expecting it to. I initially saw this on one of the Michelin Guide website, and I was expecting a little more out of this place. Of all the places that I've had dim sum at, I just feel like this was more okay rather than anything special. For example the shumai didn't have that "juicy bite" kind of feel that you usually get. Again, nothing about this restaurant was bad per se, but I just felt like this was in the lower tier of all the dim sum places that I've had. I think for this reason, it gets a 3/5 for me.

The staff wanted my wife to sit at an angle to the table; so that they could pass through. The seafood itself was solid traditional Cantonese fare with fresh lobster tanks, steamed fish, and classic banquet-style dishes. The atmosphere felt colorful authentic Hong Kong banquet hall energy. However, some of their pricing was completely out of whack. Mother's Day premium for sure which is understandable, but some dishes were simply excessively expensive for what was delivered. For example, our two lobsters, while fresh, were missing that smoky "wok hei" flavor that great Cantonese kitchens are known for. It lacked the depth, aroma, and richness one expects from a proper high-heat wok preparation. A few items felt priced more for Guide Michelin luxury dining than a Flushing seafood hall. This said, the service was efficient and professional; changing plates all the time. So a high level of attention above the usual Cantonese restaurant. Overall, decent food in and an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant that targets special family gatherings, but be prepared, both the crowds and the bill can become overwhelming very quickly. I paid more than $400 for three people. But we had a Tiger Fish which is $50 per pound.

I have so many reasons to believe that Emperor is truly the reincarnation of the restaurant...just a little rusty. I've only come here for dim sum and I'm still surprised it doesn't get even half of the insane volume that nearby dim sum restaurants get, especially with how much closer they are to Roosevelt Ave. I have to say that the dim sum here is slightly better than most locations in the core downtown area, both in presentation and taste. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.
