I don't even know where to begin. First thing I noticed was that there was only 5 vehicles in the parking lot on a Sunday. The cooks were outside smoking in the parking lot and one sitting on the bench by the entrance door. That should've been a sign to turn around and leave! One dish stood out and not in a good way and that was the seafood casserole the tofu tasted off and sour. We truly had a horrible experience. Service and food was just as bad but to top it off a random kid ran up to our table stuck his hand in the Mei Fun while his mom ran after him and they both just ran off without a word. Are we being PUNKED?? The waitress seen this and said nothing. Truly a memorable experience. Flushing has plenty of restaurants that is wayyyyyyy better than this place. Never again!

Their dimsum is pretty solid, there's not a single item that I have to complain about. I love how they have the trolly ones where they push the cart to your table and you can pick what you want, but there is also an area where you can order it in the front so they make it fresh for you. I think their runny salty egg buns can be warmer but it is still a solid 8/10.

Decent dim sum not smacked in the middle of flushing. If you get there before 11 there's plenty of space. After that, you're pretty much waiting for a table. The push cart ladies were a little pushy and there wasn't much variety. But you also actually go to the food counter and pick up whatever you want yourself. The selection overall is decent and the taste is good. We also ordered several noodle dishes and those were solid.

First time trying this dim sum restaurant and it was a great experience. The place was very busy but still clean and well organized. The ladies constantly come around with carts full of different dim sum dishes, so there's always something new to try. The food was very fresh and delicious, and the prices were fair for the quality and variety. You can also choose your tea, and we went with the jasmine tea, which was fragrant and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, a fun and authentic dim sum experience. I'd definitely come back

Super delicious food and a fresh clean environment! I heard there's a new owner and the experience this time was absolutely fantastic! I'll definitely be coming back and telling my friends and family about it.

Sharing is caring. One of my top 5 favorites, Snow Pea Shoots with Garlic. These veggies are prepared perfectly.

Thank you Andie for setting up this Dim Sum UYE at the new Grand Jade Banquet in Flushing. This UYE allowed me the opportunity to see the other side of Flushing. As well as, experience another Dim Sum restaurant, indulge in a variety of delicious food, meet new and old Yelpers plus have an extremely affordable feast. The things that stood out the most at this restaurant was their in-dining counter option. Rather than waiting for carts to roll by, you have the choice to go to the counter, pick up a dish of your choosing to bring back to your table. Grand Jade also has a separate Dim Sum takeout area. A unique and convenient feature I'm told. It was great to meet new people Nga, Harris and his wife. Always great seeing Mike and Sam. Had the opportunity to see Andie again. And it was especially nice to see and catch up with Ray. The restaurant aesthetics are nice. But the acoustics are bad...quiet loud in there. Regardless, if the opportunity arises again I would definitely come back to this location. Thanks again Andie! TIP: Less Traffic Congestion unlike Dwntwn Flushing Less haphazard Pedestrian traffic Residential Parking easily available Easy On Site Parking available ($4.00/$3.00) Reservations required for large groups-Dinner

Good Fortune is now Grand Jade Banquet (9/2025). There was a shift in ownership but it's basically the same restaurant. (3.5 Stars; rounding up to 4 Stars). The takeout section in the front of the restaurant remains the same; offering dim sum to-go, Chinese BBQ items, and the steam table with various premade food items. If you can't find street parking, there is parking in the rear of the restaurant for a fee; $4 on weekday evenings and $3 during weekend dim sum. I've been here twice; once for dinner on a random Thursday evening, and for dim sum on a Saturday afternoon. Dim Sum (3.5/5): 8 of us came on a Saturday, around noon, and the place was packed! But the restaurant is huge, so we didn't have to wait for a table. This was not the best dim sum I've ever had but definitely not the worst either. Food selection was average but seemed to be lacking in some areas (didn't see any rice noodle dishes). Prices range from $4.25/$4.75/$5.25/$5.75/$6.96-$8.95; depending on the size and category of the item. On this visit, 8 of us shared a variety of dim sum items, a noodle dish & a veggie dish....the bill came out to just $22 per person (including tax & tip). Not too bad! Dinner (4/5): I was here for a Thursday evening dinner, and the place was pretty empty. This was great for a quiet dinner with out of town relatives! Some items were better than others but all in all, a decent enjoyable dinner. Looking forward to future visits! Good Luck to the new owners!

Through restaurant name changes with major and minor renovations, from the original East Manor to Good Fortune and now to Grand Jade Banquet, only outward appearances have changed, but the food has remained the same. It is still the most convenient dim sum house for us with a parking lot and even on-street parking. We almost never have to wait for a table and they can accommodate groups from 2 to 20 with no problems. If you have even bigger groups for wedding or birthday banquets, they can accommodate a few 100 in the large dining room. There is a slightly smaller party room that can easily handle 60-80 guests, as well. If you come for dim sum on the weekends, you'll experience the rolling dim sum carts with the round steamer trays filled with shrimp, pork and beef dumplings. Order your type of tea and If you're a dim sum newbie, don't be shy to ask what's available on the cart. You might be pleasantly surprised to try some braised chicken feet or spicy beef tripe. Dim sum is all a la carte and as you pick your dishes, the dim sum ladies will mark your tally card to be totaled later. Don't forget the dessert carts with steamed custard piggy buns or the delicious baked egg tarts. If you're more adventurous, take your card up to the kitchen window to see other specialty dishes they have to offer that don't make it out on the carts. You can also order noodle & rice dishes from the kitchen if dim sum doesn't satisfy you. Our usual dishes are SIngapore Chow Mai Fun, Beef Chow Fun and my favorite, Seafood Crispy Chow Mein. On the other side of the cash registers is the takeout area, where you can order the same dim sum to go and also Cantonese BBQ roast duck, pork, chickens and whole roast pig a la carte or over rice. During weekdays, they also offer cooked dishes from the steamer table for quick week night dinners to take home. One of these days, we'll have to go back for a sitdown dinner because that giant Alaskan King Crab in the seafood tank is tauntingly waving its claw at me!

Went for dim sum with 6 people, this allows us to get a variety of items. The place is huge and was very busy. There are rolling carts and also a walk up counter to get certain dishes. Dim sum was good but nothing outstanding.

Former ' Good Fortune ' Restaurant. There are really not much changes from before. The menu still has the name 'Good Fortune'. Still conveniently located parking lot at the back door, collecting $3 flat rate per car. We got there in a Saturday 2 pm and were seated right away. Dim Sum is fair, but loving the convenience of parking and avoiding busy flushing downtown. Price is fair with weekend dim sum price starting at $4.25. Fast service. No complain at all. Will return.

    Rich R.

Very good food and service. Above average overall. I was there for a dinner party and a lot of food was ordered. There is a parking lot in the back but don't missed the turn at the corner. Full service restaurant with a take-out area for there roast meat. There are no fish tanks though! This restaurant was Good Fortune before.

The restaurant is partitioned up into several different rooms where they will push carts in and out of the rooms themselves. I was seated in some place that almost looked like a back room, but it was still decorated in the dim sum restaurant kind of theme. Service itself was pretty consistent. We didn't have to wait too long to get any of the desired dishes that we wanted. Ambience: I think your typical staple dim sum restaurant ambiance was here. Definitely felt very conversational with family. Was not too quiet or too loud. Food: I don't think that the dim sum here was that good. It didn't wow me as much as I was expecting it to. I initially saw this on one of the Michelin Guide website, and I was expecting a little more out of this place. Of all the places that I've had dim sum at, I just feel like this was more okay rather than anything special. For example the shumai didn't have that "juicy bite" kind of feel that you usually get. Again, nothing about this restaurant was bad per se, but I just felt like this was in the lower tier of all the dim sum places that I've had. I think for this reason, it gets a 3/5 for me.

We were there for a late dim sum lunch. One thing you must know is that everything here is in Chinese. The menu, the waitstaff, everything. Our friend had eaten here before and had used google translate ahead of time to pick out a few things by showing the roving servers his phone. Because we were there at the end of the dim sum service, not everything was available, but what we got was FANTASTIC!!! I'm not entirely certain what I was eating at all, but it was all delicious! The service was brusque but I honestly think it's just cultural. The older women manning the dim sum carts kept urging us to eat more and seemed very disappointed when we reached our limit! It reminded me of time spent with my great grandmother, who did not speak very much English but used food as her love language and took not eating as a personal affront! I would definitely hit this place up again during my next visit to NY!

I've been there for dim sum a few times over the years (I'm not a local but I visit), they bring stuff out on carts which you can wait for, but I've also seen carry their bill and walk up to the carts to get items a little quicker. The wait for a table can be long if you don't get there early especially on weekends. The quality of the dim sum was good, none of it came to our table cold (that wasn't supposed to be cold). They also have a take-out/to-go section to order stuff. My relatives live nearby so it's convenient to be able to get some good dim sum walking distance from where I was staying.

The staff wanted my wife to sit at an angle to the table; so that they could pass through. The seafood itself was solid traditional Cantonese fare with fresh lobster tanks, steamed fish, and classic banquet-style dishes. The atmosphere felt colorful authentic Hong Kong banquet hall energy. However, some of their pricing was completely out of whack. Mother's Day premium for sure which is understandable, but some dishes were simply excessively expensive for what was delivered. For example, our two lobsters, while fresh, were missing that smoky "wok hei" flavor that great Cantonese kitchens are known for. It lacked the depth, aroma, and richness one expects from a proper high-heat wok preparation. A few items felt priced more for Guide Michelin luxury dining than a Flushing seafood hall. This said, the service was efficient and professional; changing plates all the time. So a high level of attention above the usual Cantonese restaurant. Overall, decent food in and an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant that targets special family gatherings, but be prepared, both the crowds and the bill can become overwhelming very quickly. I paid more than $400 for three people. But we had a Tiger Fish which is $50 per pound.

I have so many reasons to believe that Emperor is truly the reincarnation of the restaurant...just a little rusty. I've only come here for dim sum and I'm still surprised it doesn't get even half of the insane volume that nearby dim sum restaurants get, especially with how much closer they are to Roosevelt Ave. I have to say that the dim sum here is slightly better than most locations in the core downtown area, both in presentation and taste. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.

We walked into a grand interior with chandeliers, spacious seating, and a more formal atmosphere compared to smaller dim sum spots. The setup feels designed for larger gatherings, family meals, and celebrations rather than a quick casual stop, and the room has a polished, traditional energy that fits the style of the food being served. The dim sum experience is the main highlight. The carts moving through the dining room make it easy to see the dishes before choosing, and there is a wide variety of options ranging from classics like siu mai, har gow, and rice rolls to more unique dishes. The siu mai stood out because of the larger size and generous filling, while the egg tarts had a flaky crust and smooth custard center that made them a solid choice for finishing the meal. The mango sago offered a lighter, refreshing contrast to the richer dim sum items. The food comes out hot, and the cart service adds to the traditional dim sum atmosphere, keeping the meal interactive and engaging as dishes pass by. One thing we appreciated about Royal Queen is the overall variety. It is the type of place where everyone can find something they enjoy because the menu covers steamed items, fried dishes, noodles, meats, and desserts. The portions are also better suited for sharing, so it works well when coming with a group and ordering multiple dishes for the table. The service style is fast-paced and typical of a busy dim sum restaurant. The carts come around frequently, so dishes can arrive quickly once you are seated. Since the restaurant is large and often used for events, the dining room can feel busy and crowded during peak hours. Finding the entrance can also be a little confusing since it is located inside the mall rather than directly from the street. Royal Queen is a solid option for traditional dim sum in Flushing. The combination of the large selection, cart service, and spacious banquet-style setting makes it a good choice for group meals or anyone looking for a classic dim sum experience. It may not be the most intimate restaurant, but it delivers the full dim sum atmosphere with plenty of choices.
