I seem to always order the beef tend noodle soup. Always reliable for satisfying meal. Today I ordered the winton noodles. It was good but I felt they should've had more noodles. Back to my beef noodle soup next time.

Probably my 100th visit today lifetime. Yummy Noodles means Yummy Foods. Clayton Rice today with the spare ribs and the main dishes that everyone usually gets. Steamed rice rolls, Yau Choy and fried dumplings.

Food: 5/5 This was classic, good HK comfort food. We got the Steamed Rice Roll ($7.50), Shrimp Wonton Soup ($11.50), Beef Brisket w Curry Sauce Noodle Soup ($16.95), and Pork w Salty Fish Hot Pot Rice ($16.95). The steamed rice roll came drenched in a peanut and hoisin sauce. The wonton soup had a lettuce based soup. We got the beef brisket curry with ho fun noodles and it tasted exactly like the HK curry noodle dishes I had growing up. The pork w salted fish hotpot rice had a lot of flavor without being overly salty, and it had crispy rice at the bottom of the pot. This was a very nostalgic meal for me. Service: 5/5 The staff was very nice and extremely efficient. They were fast without rushing. This place is always packed and they always serve customers quickly to keep it moving. Ambiance: 4/5 Yummy Noodle House is plain and simple. It is a very casual meal and pretty packed most of the time. It feels very local and produces authentic comfort food.

Pros: - seated very quickly, service was also very quick - the food was well seasoned and came out very quickly Cons: - not necessarily a con but the curry was sweeter than expected, I was hoping for a more savory and spicy flavor - the rice noodle rolls were a little on the saltier side Comments: - went on a Friday around 1PM, not too busy - wasn't too loud in the restaurant

Still a solid spot and always a bit of a wait time despite abnormal dining hours. The noodles are thin and bouncy just like authentic HK flair and the chive shrimp dumplings are still a MUST! Bring ca$h! Still cash ONLY!

After an early movie of Mission Impossible: The Final reckoning, we went to Yummy Noodle House 33-35 Francis Lewis Blvd for an early dinner / late lunch. Ordered a few dishes - Braised Beef tendon & Beef Brisket [Hong Kong style] - HK rice noodles rolls SOS - 2x cold Ying & Yang so good - Beef and bitter melon with Black bean sauce over rice - Rice Clay pot with fish - Rice Clay pot with pork and salted fish - Rice Clay pot with spare ribs and Chinese pork belly Everything was delicious, but awhile I was eating it i noticed there was Taro pieces in my rice Clay pot and it didn't say anything about having Taro. If I knew I wouldn't have ordered it. It was good but I had to pick out the Taro. Everything was good until those taro pieces. This place is literally the same version of E noodle house in Chinatown just different name. 11am - 9pm Mon - Sun Street parking only Accepts cash/card Bathroom unisex If you're looking for a good cantonese/Hong Kong style dishes. This is definitely the spot.

We love Yummy Noodle House. When we want yummy comfort food, this is the place to go. Food is always consistent. Service is very good. My favorite is their stir fry rice rolls and of course their bo jiy fan!

New item on the menu: soy braised duck was very good - tender meat and nice flavors. The restaurant was busy on a Sunday night at 5:30pm. This is our first time dining in - we usually order takeout out but we were pleasantly surprised. The only negative was the service which was a bit rude.

Yummy Noodle House is a popular Hong Kong style eatery and like HK the city, it has its own style with a mix of local Cantonese and even some Northern Chinese tastes and dishes. HK & Shanghai style dim sum like rolled rice noodles and xiao long bao are menu staples. The bulk of the menu though are noodle dishes, served in soup or HK lo mein style with soup on the side. These come with all combinations of pork & shrimp dumplings & wontons, beef stew and seafood. We always like to start with the steamed rice rolls, drizzled with peanut & hoisin sauce and sesame. Throw in a fresh fried cruller to swish up some of that sauce. The classic Chinatown wonton noodle soup is excellent and I intend to try all the different variations. The House Special Lo Mein is like a deconstructed wonton noodle soup but with the soup on the side and they toss in a soy sauce chicken leg quarter and tea egg for good measure to fill you up. If we're really hangry, we'll get 1 or 2 of the clay pot rice dishes also. The lop may (sausage, bacon & duck ) or spare ribs are really good. Just drizzle the sweet thick soy sauce over the rice and then scrape the crunchy rice off the sides to get all of the flavor. Maybe I'll get a curry dish or congee next time...

Parking in the neighborhood is easy. We ordered 3 dishes and I have to say, the congee is really good and for the price I paid, it's worth the big bowl! Now I don't have to travel to Main Street to order congee. My beef congee was lightly salted. We also ordered soup dumplings. My husband enjoyed his chicken dish so our family will definitely return here. It's canto style and I think it's the only one near us on Francis Lewis.

Hong Kong/Canto cafes are rather rare in this area (let alone the borough of Queens) so when asked to find one, I had little to no hope. Came across Yummy Noodle House, which I vaguely remember being in Flushing, so we decided to give it a whirl. Arrived during the day of New Years Eve and it was packed. Luckily we got to snatch the last table in the front. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious with checker patterned tables stretching out as far to the back. The specials are plastered along the walls and also on the table top; any Hong Kong classic you can think of is probably on the menu. We opted for: BEEF BRISKET LO MEIN: I'm not usually a lo mein fan, but these were an exception. Noodles were bouncy, perfectly cooked and soaked up the sauce so well. The brisket was very tender and almost melted in your mouth. This was served with a broth on the side; I tasted a bit of dried shrimp (maybe scallops?) in it. These components tied the dish altogether so well. CRAB MEAT SOUP DUMPLING: A little pricier than some places, because they come in a set of 6 rather than 8. The meat and filling is rather generous with the crab meat though, so it makes it more worth it. Skin was delicate and held everything together pretty well, but I've had thinner skins. Not the best soup dumplings I've had, but it'll pass LOL. RICE ROLLS: I always order rice rolls without fail and these were phenomenal. Sometimes when the rice flour isn't cooked through enough, it's rather gummy and starchy. I absolutely hate the taste of undercooked rice rolls, but these were steamed perfectly. The sauce drizzled on top was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Sesame seeds was the cherry on top. HONG KONG STYLED MILK TEA: Rich and creamy as a milk tea should be. Had no complaints about this. This stuff is legit! LOL They're currently offering a gratitude special where they're discounting 5% off your bill if you pay with cash. I thought it was a little pricey for what it is, but this spot definitely hits the mark if you're ever craving this kind of food in Queens.

Paid $16.95 each order. The portion is smaller than other places. Way over price. Will stop going there...don't think it worth the money.

Not easily accessible. The entrance is tight with a weather awning, glass door & tight turns but the transom has a wedge to get a wheelchair in with some help.

    They are open! Cash only

    Do they take reservations?

How is the street parking ? Is it hard to find a spot in early evening? (like around 6?)

You will be able to find parking easier on the weekdays, on weekends, you will have to drive around the neighborhood, maybe a block or two away.

I wonder how was the order out experience? thanks.

As long as you call 20 minutes or so in advance, your order will be ready for pick up. They pack everything neatly to avoid spills. I have gotten take out here several times and so far no complains.

Service was minimal at best but they just seemed under staffed honestly. And when the server did come by, she was running quickly to and from. The place was not busy when my friends and I were seated. But there was a back room in guessing that had occupants since she was missing in the front seating area. (There was a two person table occupied in the front near us). My party of three over ordered but that was intentional because, any purchase over $100, you get a free lobster and each of us had items we wanted, figured we would doggie bag the leftovers. All in all a great value. The lunch spread had over 7 dishes and we got the free lobster. I was especially happy to see Fried Milk on the menu as an appetizer. They also provide complimentary salted peanuts and pickled radish and carrot slivers. I recommend the snow pea shoots, fried milk, clams with black bean sauce and the Chinese Broccoli with Filet beef. The other dishes like the lobster, noodles and sweet and sour pork were executed well but just not my flavor profile. And with my food allergy, I couldn't try the shrimp with walnuts but it was my friends' birthday so she ordered that for her treat. It looked great! We were famished and only focused on what yummy dishes to order. My wife, son and daughter all contributed their suggestions and we ended up ordering pan fried whole flounder, half of the roast chicken with garlic, filet mignon with Chinese broccoli, fried rice with chicken and salted fish and everyone's favorite dish salt & pepper squid. Once we placed our order and were enjoying the roasted peanuts and free spicy cabbage we realized why everyone had their winter coats on, it felt like they had the AC on and it must have been 55° in the restaurant. I told everyone that once the food arrived things would warm up. Each dish that came out of the kitchen was perfectly cooked and was delicious. The salt & pepper squid with it's minced jalapeños kept us warm enough until the half chicken with garlic and filet mignon and Chinese broccoli came out in rapid succession. The star of the show turned out to be the giant sized pan fried flounder which was not only big but quite scrumptious. Unlike the little scrawny flounder that most other restaurants usually served this was a quite large and very meaty and perfectly cooked. The last dish to come out was a very large plate of chicken fried rice with salted fish. If it were not for the lack of heat, I would have given Chef Wong Bistro 5 stars!

We didn't have to wait too long to get any of the desired dishes that we wanted. Ambience: I think your typical staple dim sum restaurant ambiance was here. Definitely felt very conversational with family. Was not too quiet or too loud. Food: I don't think that the dim sum here was that good. It didn't wow me as much as I was expecting it to. I initially saw this on one of the Michelin Guide website, and I was expecting a little more out of this place. Of all the places that I've had dim sum at, I just feel like this was more okay rather than anything special. For example the shumai didn't have that "juicy bite" kind of feel that you usually get. Again, nothing about this restaurant was bad per se, but I just felt like this was in the lower tier of all the dim sum places that I've had. I think for this reason, it gets a 3/5 for me.

All were delicious! I have bought it and re-heated it up the next day as well and it still taste good! Tried the shark fin soup as well and it is thicker (not very soupy) but flavor is great. If you don't like the thickness you can always add some water to it. Definitely a go to spot if I am in the area :)

This is Hong Kong style done right, and in Flushing you're getting the real thing at prices that genuinely rival what you'd pay in China. We lucked into a nice day and grabbed a seat outside. Service was fast and furious, which is exactly what you should expect and honestly want from a spot like this. You're not here for a leisurely dining experience, you're here to eat something delicious and get on with your day. My one gripe, and it applies to the whole surrounding area and not just Maxi's: there are basically no bathrooms to be found. Plan accordingly before you commit to a big bowl of soup. Cheap, tasty, authentic. Everything a Flushing noodle spot should be.

The staff wanted my wife to sit at an angle to the table; so that they could pass through. The seafood itself was solid traditional Cantonese fare with fresh lobster tanks, steamed fish, and classic banquet-style dishes. The atmosphere felt colorful authentic Hong Kong banquet hall energy. However, some of their pricing was completely out of whack. Mother's Day premium for sure which is understandable, but some dishes were simply excessively expensive for what was delivered. For example, our two lobsters, while fresh, were missing that smoky "wok hei" flavor that great Cantonese kitchens are known for. It lacked the depth, aroma, and richness one expects from a proper high-heat wok preparation. A few items felt priced more for Guide Michelin luxury dining than a Flushing seafood hall. This said, the service was efficient and professional; changing plates all the time. So a high level of attention above the usual Cantonese restaurant. Overall, decent food in and an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant that targets special family gatherings, but be prepared, both the crowds and the bill can become overwhelming very quickly. I paid more than $400 for three people. But we had a Tiger Fish which is $50 per pound.

I have so many reasons to believe that Emperor is truly the reincarnation of the restaurant...just a little rusty. I've only come here for dim sum and I'm still surprised it doesn't get even half of the insane volume that nearby dim sum restaurants get, especially with how much closer they are to Roosevelt Ave. I have to say that the dim sum here is slightly better than most locations in the core downtown area, both in presentation and taste. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.
