This is a cute spot to grab breakfast with family. Things to note are this is a CASH ONLY facility so keep that in mind, and they are sort of the local watering hole type place but for early hours. They have regulars who will sit at the counter and sometimes conversations between the staff and their regulars tended to get a little uncomfortable for those of us on the outside looking in. Our servers were friendly and accommodating at first, but sort of forgot about us a bit we think after we got our meals. Food was quite good, but the overall experience earned a lower rating based on the aforementioned ambiance. Some people might enjoy that kind of setting, but it wasn't my preference.

We were looking for a new place to try and ended up finding this spot on Maps. Heads up - there's a sign on the door reminding patrons that they are a cash only restaurant. Tables inside are well spaced for social distancing. Even on a Sunday morning, we were able to get a table for two right away. There was a slight wait for our waitress, but the woman who sat us did come back for drink orders in the interim. The food was excellent and we'll definitely go back. I was especially fond of the home fries and muffin. Oh and there's plenty of parking!

After reading all of the Yelp glowing reviews I was excited to try this place. A little hard to see from the street. Once you see it you realize it's totally adorable. Country cozy feel, screen door, wooden tables, wooden hutch coffee station. Charming. Staff was so friendly. They seem to have quite a loyal clientele. I enjoyed all the banter. I cannot say I enjoyed the coffee. It was a bit weaker than I like it. My eggs were cooked perfectly. Bacon perfectly crispy and non greasy. Home fries were slightly over boiled making them slightly mushy. I couldn't form an opinion about the pancakes. They looked beautiful. But taste wise .....lacked pizzazz. They didn't taste buttermilk. Had no real definitive flavor. I really wanted to fall in love with this place. It has so many things in its favor. Im so on the fence. In the end breakfast out is about the food....it just wasn't memorable. Giving it 3 stars. Fyi....cash only.

Very cute and cozy. Makes you feel like you're in grandmas kitchen. The staff was extremely friendly. The food did not wow me but it was good enough that I would back. Friendly staff. Cozy vibe. Standard breakfast food. Cash only.

A hidden gemstone in a corner of a small shopping area. They open at 6a so it's good for early risers. They serve breakfast all day and have a very good selection. Everything is made from scratch and the home fries are old school and good. The omelets are generous offering choice of cheese (1), two (2) meats, And two (2) veggies. The service is very friendly and the food comes out quick and Hot. It's a local place so expect to see everyone knows everyone else and this is how it is in a local favorite. If your ever in town and wanting a good home cooked meal, this is the place for you. But get in early as it's not a big place and it fills up fast with all the locals. Fast, friendly, great service and solid food offerings you cant beat and even the big chains can't match this place.

Great Breakfast Spot. Good food. Priced right. The home fries with onions were tasty. The eggs over easy just right. Both the bacon and sausage were cooked just right. Very friendly staff and super clean place. Looking forward to a repeat.

The biscuits with sausage gravy are soooo good. You also get incredible value on the sides, like a $5 dollar side of bacon that comes with six full pieces, which is practically unheard of these days. The pancakes are massive for $4 dollars, and you can add 2 toppings for just a $1.50 extra. The potatoes were well seasoned and filling, though they had a unique flavor profile that was not totally my preference. (May have been the type of potato or the skin on it) Overall, everything was well seasoned, incredibly filling, and affordable. I will definitely be back!

The place was packed when I got there, lots of locals all enjoying their company and their dishes. Got a seat at the counter right away, grabbed a menu and checked through their offerings. Decided on French toast with real maple syrup and biscuits and gravy. Food came out quick especially with the crowd. Everything was cooked, the French toast was okay. Not soaked enough, toasted with butter but not a lot of cinnamon in the dredge. Not great, but very functional. The biscuits and gravy were very much a northern take on the southern classic. Grands biscuits grilled on the flat top with grey goopy gravy on top. Very lackluster. The staff was very friendly, and the price was very cheap. Even with the golden delicious branded syrup upcharge the bill was only 12 dollars. Which is very affordable given the quality was not so great. As a generic diner, it does basic dishes well enough. There's not a ton of breakfast spots around, so it does well as that local greasy spoon. Doesn't need to be fancy, cause it's one of the few places in town and they are serviceable. I wouldn't drop by on my travels, but if you need cheap eats then this place will fit the bill

Mon to Sat they open at 5am. I was only 10 minutes away from 6 but I figured they look like a place I'd want to eat at anyway and fate brought me to this awesome establishment. Upon entering it's not too bright and not too dark especially for this hour. The place looks immaculately clean. It's your typical diner feel just a little more modernish with the color scheme inside. Two breakfast bars and the rest booths and tables. Round stools at the bar for seating. The waitress greeted me and I just sat at the breakfast bar. I got a a coffee to start, nice med - dark roast. Not burnt and tasted freshly made, good quality Java to wake you up. Better than Dunkin could offer lol. For my breakfast I decided on the Crazy Good Hash and a side of sausage (they offer links or patties, I love my patties so that's what I chose). First bite was just amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect .. I low key was just thinking it would be the stuff from a can like other diners use but no.. you will not get that here. It was legit fresh corned beef... griddled with hashed potatoes .. it was light and flavorful, crispy crust and soft interior. Not drowning in sodium like the can stuff. The corned beef really just melted in your mouth, so juicy and tender just like a properly cooked corned beef should taste. It was just amazing and I was completely blown away. Paired together with high quality eggs and perfectly toasted with butter toast, there was not one bite left. I couldn't stop eating it. I was almost sad with my last bite .. but I was about to explode anyway since it was a very generous portion. I'm just a glutton when it comes to good savory foods. The sausage patties were great too .. nice crispy and juicy, good flavor profile, not herby like some .. I don't like those but these were great. Please come give this place a try and go for the Crazy Good Hash and Eggs. You won't regret it.

"And there's fire on the mountain Lightening in the air…read moreGold in them hills and it's waiting for me there" (Marshall Tucker Band) Fire On the Mountain has one of the most unique menus I've ever encountered. Seriously, where else have you ever seen breakfast quesadillas, catfish and grits, cheesecake cornbread waffles, smoked brisket hash, deep fried pork ribs, catfish, mushroom, and alligator tacos, and a Puerto Rican Rice Bowl all happily living in the same menu's neighborhood? And then, the icing on the cake was our server - a charismatic and uber-friendly gent named Bromwell who lights up the room with his personality. He made my list of the five greatest servers I interacted with this year. The restaurant's location is as unusual as its menu. You'll find it occupying the front space at the Suffield Commons Senior Living Apartments! Yup, as you walk through the restaurant and out their back door, you actually enter a common space for the housing complex. The restaurant itself has two dining rooms with booths, tables, and chairs and a bar with dining room chairs. That eclectic menu is chock full of breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices with Mexican and barbecue flairs. We were there for lunch and ordered two things. The first was an enormous Cheese Quesadilla ($9.35) with pork ($3.12) on a grilled flour tortilla served with sour cream and pico. It was a thing of beauty, cut into five thick wedges loaded with smoked pork. Our second item was a Caesar Salad (Half size for $6.23) with a side of smoked brisket ($9.36). I passed on the croutons and Caesar dressing in lieu of barbecue sauce as my dressing. I gotta tell you, the brisket was GREAT, a big serving of tender and juicy smoked beef cut into four slabs that must have totaled close to a half pound. We loved everything about Fire On the Mountain and agreed that we need to return for a proper breakfast when we are out that way or making a morning airport run. PRO TIP The restrooms are located in the housing complex's common space I described earlier/ Just exit the restaurant by the door in the rear dining room, and you're just about there.

Cute location, basic diner grub…read more Came here on a whim. Running out of breakfast spots so need to scour further out. This place came up a decent distance away, so I made the trek. Sole server was hospitable. Lots of items were unavailable when I tried to inquire about them. Drinks were self-serve, but they did deliver food. I opted for the stuffed French toast and tried their home fries to see how they prepped them. Food came out with a little wait. Took my pics and dug in. The French toast, they did try but it was not the best. Cream cheese was as advertised, sweetened and smeared lightly between lightly dipped bread pieces which were grilled on a griddle. Lots of blueberries and a few sliced strawberries. And some powered sugar for decoration. Taste-wise was okay, but was way too bready and not enough seasoning. If I were to advise on how to fix this, make a cream cheese filling with the cool whip and cream cheese, and make it a substantial layer of filling. Macerate the strawberries, and soak the bread a bit longer so the custard can seep in. The home fries were lightly seasoned, cooked through but lacking flavor. I like my home fries to have a bit of a sear to them with crispy browned bits. I also like them to be seasoned a little heavier, or else all you get is a bland potato. Pricing was about 18.50. So not bad for the dishes I ordered. Portion was right, just the quality was lacking. As a little local diner, it fits the bill just fine. You can get eggs and omelettes and the space is nice. Just know it's very basic and you'll be just fine.

BTW, Have a great ending to this story but for now, ordered the IRISH QUESADILLA and my wife had an Omelette. (no picture of omelette sorry) but trust me, whichever one you get, you'll enjoy. I wanted lightly fried eggs and home fries instead of the scrambled and fries listed on the menu. Am I glad. The eggs were great and the home fries SPECTACULAR. I love corned beef hash and having it in a quesadilla this first time was exactly how I'd like it but may never see unless I asked for it and I will here in Florida. Didn't want this meal to end. My wife liked her omelette a lot also with those home fries and agreed. Perfect! And a bottomless cup of great coffee. We occasionally talked the three people who were seated near us and talked about everything. Laughed mostly and it was quite enjoyable. After their meals, they left and we then had just asked for our check. The waitress said it's been taken care of! What?? I ran out and hoped I'd see them and thank them. I did and they were just getting in their SUV. I thank them and for their company also. What they did we also did in Florida. It's called "Pay Forward". Wasn't familiar with it.
