I'm surprised this place has such a high rating. I ordered the Big Plate (should be named the Big Flop) consisting of Scrambled eggs with Cheddar, sausage links and bacon with the home fries. The eggs were scrambled, sure, with the smallest slice of cheese possible melted in. No seasoning or even basic salt and pepper. The bacon was alright, pretty hard to mess that up, the sausages weren't too tasty. The home fries (with peppers and "Flava" added as an additional charge) are quite possibly the worst thing I've ever eaten. I wouldn't feed my dog this slop. The three brothers need to just pack it up and go home. read more

Stopped recently for breakfast. Service was prompt and the waitress was very personable. I had their "big breakfast" The eggs were cooked as ordered and the pancake was a box mix and nothing special. No home fries or toast came with this meal. Never been to a breakfast place where their "big" breakfast did not come with HF or bread. My partner had a similar special with a waffle which she described as a wilted sponge. Lousy. No homefries or toast with her meal either. A $14 rip. Customer service is important to me, I always feel welcome here, the food very nice, I usually get sausage egg n cheese on a hard roll with lettuce tomato and onion and 2 hash browns. They open at 6 am perfect for me because I work third shift when I get off I can get a meatball sub, nice to have the option breakfast or lunch. Clean and uncrowded and the customer or two, along with a friendly staff, makes this out of the way breakfast and lunch restaurant, appealing at first glance. There were a bunch of menu options but we chose a roast beef wrap and a typical BLT, which come with a pickle and one side. I couldn't tell you what the music source is, but some of the music is a little Bizzarre as background. When you look at the pictures, see if you can spot the huge pickles! I was looking for another option in the area and tried this place based on the reviews. I was pleased. The restaurant is bright and clean. The have a short menu, but it has all of the classics. He ordered the Monte Cristo, which was thick with turkey, ham, and cheese. I had scrambled eggs, corned beef has, home fries and toast. The eggs were moist, the hash was canned, but had a nice crisp crust. The home fries were canned, with some crunchy bits, which i love, and lots of larger pieces, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The server was friendly and efficient. This is my go-to place for breakfast. FRESH food, fast service, and very cheap prices. I've been going here consistently for over 2 years now and this place is better than any diner you could find traveling cross country. Highly recommend for commuters, they open super early and their service is extremely fast. The food is ridiculously delicious and consistently fresh. A nice little breakfast spot not too far from the airport. While visiting decided to stop by because I was on a quest for pancakes & this was one place that came up on Yelp & they would be still open for a decent amount of time. They have a very friendly staff, they were very warm & welcoming. They have a breakfast & a lunch menu so you are presented with what you feel like eating at the time. Make sure you ask for the WiFi password. The cell phone reception isn't that great in the general area. I ordered the big plate because it came with most of what I wanted to eat & some. Being that my main reason for going here was the pancakes I was slightly disappointed. The pancakes weren't bad but they weren't the best either. The bacon very crispy! I really enjoyed the home fries because they didn't add anything extra to it like onions or whatever else people throw in it. And no complaints about the eggs those were also good. This place is a good deli spot while I waited for my flight at the Bradley airport. I had the rueben on rye with seasoned fries. The sandwich was very tasteful and plenty of corned beef. The seasoned fries were not really good and had mostly small bits of fries. They weren't really seasoned to taste. The menu looked very good and the place had a steady stream of customers from all walks of life. My friends ordered the whole grinders and it was a big sandwich. Definitely will return. read more

Nothing fancy here, it's just your basic breakfast menu but everything is excellent. I'm always amazed at how many places manage to screw up breakfast. Scrambled eggs are always fluffy and flavorful, home fries are seasoned well with NO skin, and their corned beef hash is always the star of the show. I've eaten there about 20 times and it's been very consistent. They also have specials so check the chalk board before you take a seat. All of my family/friends I've told about this unassuming restaurant agree that it's very good and inexpensive to boot. read more

Ok, lunch is when I have 30 minutes to eat. Working in the area, I figured I would try this out. Few people in seating area. One ahead of me at counter ordering to go, like I will. Then my turn. Still waiting, still, still, then asked, are you helped? I said not yet and then so sorry. I order the "special " chef salad for speed. 10 minutes gone already. 20 minutes later, out comes my salad. Now time to get back to work with out eating my 9.50 lunch. Lovely. They need to get in order. One person handles to go only. Rest tables. Or something. Not intrested in going back. Had breakfast here on the way home from a business trip. Asked for corned beef hash, Home fries, toast, and poached or soft yolk fried eggs (whichever one they could do). The very pleasant waitress said they had off-menu grits so I agreed to change my order. The coffee is excellent at this little place. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. I watched five or six people come In and get their food. Mine was nowhere to be found and my flight wasn't going to wait for me. Twenty minutes after I sat down my food was finally ready. When I asked the waitress why it took so long she said it was because of the poached eggs. I reminded her that I asked for poached or soft fried - and I let her know that I had a flight to catch and now had to horn down my food. The grits were passable. Eggs were ok. Corned beef was from a can and, worst of all, wasn't cooked enough. Never got a chance to try the toast. After about four bites I decided that this wasn't for me. I went to the counter to pay and the waitress said I should have told her I was getting on a flight. That didn't sit well with me. I reminded her that I gave her options on the eggs, and that she should have asked me if the delay was ok. I'm not happy with the place. Very good, freshly made breakfast. The restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside. It's in a small strip mall and easy to miss if you're not looking for it. However, the food is very good. Solid, traditional diner food, but everything is freshly made to order. And, while the bigger chains like Denny's have moved to pre-cooked (read:disgusting) bacon, this place has wonderful bacon cooked to order. Early in the morning, it's almost all regulars who have obviously been going here for years. To me, that's a testament to the wonderful food and reasonable prices. We had stayed overnight at the Sheraton Hartford Bradley International Airport shop were could visit the New England Air Museum on our way to a family visit in New York. Yelp led us to The Brothers, a breakfast and lunch place with eat-in and an apparently thriving local take-out business. Less than a five-minute drive from the airport, the restaurant is in an unassuming little strip mall. The decor is simple diner. The food was remarkably good. A spinach omelette with feta had a perfect amount of creamy feta. The grits were creamy and buttered. The waffle I had was superb. Light but crunchy exterior, fully cooked inside with exquisitely deft touch of vanilla in the background. Opt for the local real maple syrup for a small upcharge to go with that and you'll all for a second order. The owners and staff were friendly and professional. We'll be back to get to work on the rest of the menu on the way home from our trip. read more
