My friend is vegan. Peterborough has a good vegan eatery scene. I did a search and Revelstoke Cafe popped up. Oddly, I had never been. I asked my friend if she was good coming here. She was. Yay! I indicated that I'd arrive at either 2:30 pm or 3 pm. Well, the volume of folks with canoes on their vehicles or boats hitched to them picked up as I drove east. I let my friend know that I'd be there at 3 pm instead. She was good with that. She got there before I did and let me know where she was parked. She had also got a table for us. I let her know that I was ten minutes later than expected. Long weekend traffic will do that to you. I parked on George Street North, across from this restaurant. My approach was super slow trying to figure out where this restaurant was. It's in a residential neighbourhood, but it's right at the corner of George and Edinburgh. It's free parking all day on this street. I walked in. I saw the kitchen and all staff working away. They were friendly. They said hi. I reciprocated and said hi to my friend. I walked over. It was nearly a two-hour drive over. I needed to use the washroom. It's a single stall that everyone uses. It was clean. The floor isn't level, so the door only opens halfway. I also used it before I left and continued eastbound. My friend had already ordered an iced maple chai latte. It looked yummy. She let me know that any coffee on the menu could be made iced. The berry hibiscus lemonade caught my attention, so I ordered it. My first instinct was to hit the brunch menu and get the west coast scramble. However, I took one look at the mushroom hash and was sold. It didn't surprise my friend. I am a huge fan of mushrooms. She got the burrito bowl. It had a vegan version of beef in it. Cool! We chatted a bit. My drink came out first. It was excellent! I love hibiscus and berries together. The lemonade brightened this drink up. It was cold and refreshing for a warm summery day. My friend enjoyed her iced maple chai latte. She said that it wasn't overly sweet with the maple in it. The chai was a good strength and oat beverage was in there to smooth things out. Our mains came out next. Her beef burrito bowl looked so good, especially with a sliced, fanned avocado in the middle. She was about the dig in when she remembered that I liked taking photos of food, so she gave me a bit of time to take a pic before she went for it. She loved her burrito bowl. The flavours were on point. The vegan beef was tender. The veggies were fresh. It looked yummy. I need to try it someday. I loved my mushroom hash. The potatoes were pan-fried and were perfectly done. They were seasoned nicely. The mushrooms were sautéed and delicious. The tofu that simulated a poached egg was super silky. The hollandaise sauce was generous and made this hash awesome. I asked about dessert. This place only had some molasses item that didn't scream for me to get it. She did say that there were cinnamon buns tomorrow. My timing was off. Ugh! Anyway, we got the bill. My friend paid cash her for meal. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and tipped. We both thanked her. My friend and I continued to chat. We were there for three hours. Staff did not mind that we hung around after having paid. There was air conditioning. Before we left, a big ceiling fan over us was activated. We did not feel hot at all during our time here. I can't wait to return. I loved eating here and meeting up with my friend. I highly recommend coming here if you are in Peterborough, whether you are vegan or not. The food is scrumptious and staff are nice. (220)

We all found something to love here. We started with the pickled things, served in the cutest mismatched china. Everything was delicious, but the carrots were the standout -- so good we joked about drinking the pickling liquid. We also tried the Pink Lemonade and the Strawberry Alarm Clock juices, both incredibly fresh and vibrant. You could taste every ingredient. Since we couldn't decide on just one entrée, we split the Thai Kale Salad and the Buddha Bowl (with added mushrooms and avocado). The Thai Kale Salad was everything you want it to be -- bright, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. We were sure it would be the star of the meal. Then the Buddha Bowl arrived. The smoky tofu, creamy coconut rice, perfectly dressed kale, and all the veggies worked together beautifully. But the real showstopper was the added mushrooms -- so rich and full of depth that we nearly fought over them. We enjoyed everything out on their patio and left already planning our next visit. A wonderful meal all around.

I'll be back tho for more try's.

I had been…read moregetting emails for a while, and I finally decided to try them out to help support my intermittent fasting regime. I was looking for more plant-based proteins and foods that would fill me up so I'm not quite as hungry when fasting. I really do enjoy this service. The quality of the food is very good. I love that there is a variety of meal options, and these are rotated in and out at a good rate. I think I've only had one or two repeat meals in the month I've been purchasing. I am not a vegan, but I do like to eat primarily plant-based and the recipes the chef comes up with are quite ingenious. They sound very interesting and have a lot of cultural influences. I particularly like the asian inspired meals, noodle bowls, Indian... last week there was a Moroccan Bean stew, and it looked so good, I let my dad have it because he wanted to try out a meal. I prefer to pick up my order each week. They have a nice curbside pickup system working right now. You can get food delivered for a fee to the Rochester and Buffalo areas. I prefer to save a few dollars and I have made it a part of my Sunday routine that's focused on me. There is only one drawback. Meals come to you in plastic take out containers. They are very durable and great for taking to work. But I wish these could somehow be more environmentally friendly. I do recycle, but I worry it's not enough. If you feel pressed for time in your week and would like to have really tasty, healthy, flavorful meals this is a great option. At $12.00 per meal, it is somewhat expensive, but at the same time maybe it's not given that food prices at grocery stores have gone up. It isn't a frozen Healthy Choice bowl, and you are getting your money's worth in terms of portion size, food quality and nutritional value.

I am an infantile vegan (only 5 months) and lasagna was a meal I was going to miss. Also I have found myself eating a lot of processed vegan foods due to convenience and sweet pea offered a solution to my *problems*. I ordered lasagna, butternut squash soup, muffins, and tikka masala. The muffins were amazing and moist and not chewy like a lot of vegan baked goods. The cauliflower bechamel in the lasagna was also noteworthy. But fast forward to the tikka masala- Wow! The price was right as the portions lasted me all week and saved me so much time. Also the nutrition information is provided and you can pronounce all the ingredients and the calories are reasonable. Also happy with the protein content of all these items! One recommendation would be- I personally added salt to the dishes. I find this common with vegan food though and appreciate that people can salt to taste. All of this, and the meals were dropped off at my door ready to be microwaved. I highly recommend even if not a vegan just a healthy option for those nights you can't or don't want to cook. Also to the other review that this place was pricey and packaging was not eco friendly- do you know that offering eco friendly packaging would subsequently increase costs even more? Unfortunately you can't have it all, at least without paying for it.

Recently having gone back to a Plant-Based lifestyle, I was craving a good pizza yesterday. I placed my order online for future pickup, then arrived a few minutes early to pick it up. My order was ready at a reasonable time, but the only slightly bothersome part of the (very short) wait was the fact that they were playing death metal in the background...not my cup of tea, but each to their own. I received my order, which was still piping hot when I arrived home. The Snapcase Pizza was great, a sauce base of Buffalo and Boss sauce mixed, topped with Chick'n and Vegan Cheese. Perfectly cooked crust, and just the right amount of topping. The House-Made Vegan Mozzarella Stix were surprisingly good! Cheezy with a stretch, and a nice crispy breading. The May-Wah wings I ordered with the same sauce blend as the pizza, Buffalo and Boss sauce mixed. They were good, but slightly mushy. I also wish they came with more than two celery sticks! The dipping sauce was really good too! Next time I think I'll try the Jackfruit wings. Anyway, I had a great dinner thanks to New Ethic, and will definitely be returning soon! Highly recommended!
