The first time I visited New Ethic was on a Saturday evening and it was very crowded when I went. I was told when I was placing the order that it would take an hour and a half so I gave them my phone number and told them I'd walk around. The second time, I ordered online and picked it up. We ended up eating there but ordering ahead definitely saved us time. Do yourself a favor and order ahead :) The menu is full of some really creative and fun pizzas! It took me a while to figure out what i wanted to order. I got an antipasto pizza with mushrooms added. The pizza was super delicious. The toppings were all wonderful; I loved the flavor combination. The pesto was also delicious. It didn't overpower the other flavors but I could still taste it. I was extremely delighted by the amount of toppings; toppings for days The second time I ordered one pizza with pink sauce, mushrooms, onions and olives (I call it the MOO) and one plain cheese pizza with extra cheese. The amount of toppings I got was perfect; too little toppings is probably my biggest pizza gripe. The garlic knots were soft, not too oily surprisingly. They were delicious. I didn't like the texture of the sauce that came with it. It was too solid to dip into. The knots were really good on their own. The wings were soft and tender. The texture of the jackfruit was really consistent through out which I was surprised about after my jackfruit cooking experiences. The breading was perfect. The sauce was so delicious! it had a little bit of heat to it and a yummy flavor. I look forward to trying the other different sauce options. There's not a lot of seating at New Ethic. I usually sit at the counter; it's comfy. The interior is well lit with cute decorations at the tables. I love that they have arcade cabinets. I found their inclusion signage welcoming. I adore New Ethic and I can't wait to order from here again :)

I went to Rochester for the day, I traveled from Buffalo so I looked up vegan restaurant I was excited about the menu and read the reviews, so got there and it was really nice inside and the staff was very friendly! I tried the jackfruit with and the buffalo chickpea pizza. I really wanted to love the wings, but they were not right the jackfruit was not seasoned and it was to much breading around them with also no flavor it was more like a hush puppy. But the pizza was really good... I will definitely go back to try something else on the menu!

I'm vegetarian and was super excited to try this place. They've only been open for like a week, and they don't open until 4pm on the weekdays. I called around 4:15 and ordered, and they said it would be about 30 minutes. I tried to order online, and it said the store was still closed. I think they're still working out the kinks. My order really took about 45 minutes, but it was totally worth it! Everything on the menu is vegan, which is awesome because I can eat anything they have! I wanted the wings though, so I ordered both kinds to try them. The jackfruit wings were breaded, and I really, really, really loved those. The may wah wings look like they're on a bone. They were also really good, and if I hadn't had the others, I'd have probably loved them, too. I just liked the breaded ones a lot better. I didn't like the sauce I got on the may wah ones as much either. I ordered boss sauce on those, and monster squad on the breaded ones. I really liked the Monster squad sauce. I would stick to buffalo or monster sauce going forward. The sauce on the jackfruit ones was too sweet for me. My husband (a meat eater) also tried them both and liked them both. And he liked both sauces. I will definitely be back again for more! I used to live near here, so I'd have been here all the time. But it's totally worth going out of my way for. And there's lots of parking. It's at the front of the DMV building. 2 Ton Tony's is around to the side, so it was a little confusing for me. And if you walk through the building, the door was locked. So go in the front outside entrance. And I'd call and order ahead or you'll have to wait a bit. **Edited to add, I had the wings mixed up. The may wah ones look like they're on a bone. I corrected it above. I had them both again, and tried the santa carla sauce on the may wah ones this time. They were still too sweet for me. I think the wings themselves are just sweeter than I'd like. The jackfruit ones were still amazing though. We also got a chik'n caesar panini. It was ok. The cheese was really good, but the bread was a little hard for me, and I didn't love the chicken. It was fine. I just wasn't crazy about it. I think I will be sticking with the jackfruit wings going forward. I love them! Yum!!!

Such a great small family business. Great food and even greater people! So glad to have a fully vegan pizzeria in Rochester. I'll admit, I've only had a couple of different items from their menu and I definitely need to start trying more, but everything I've had has been delicious. Their garlic knots are AMAZING and so are their wings. I've had vegan garlic parm wings at 3 different places now and New Ethic's are definitely the best. Great dinner tonight!

New Ethic is amazing.... *if* you have the patience. I love having another vegan restaurant in the area. They have tons of options and everything is always delicious. Their jackfruit wings and garlic knots are my go to. However, make sure you order accordingly and don't go in super hungry. You might end up waiting 30-45 minutes + even if it visually looks like they're not super busy. Usually the same for pickup orders. Despite this kink, it's a new business and I'm sure they'll only get better.

So happy that this vegan pizzeria opened up in Rochester. Online ordering is easy, and opens up when the store opens. I do wish that an order could be placed before the store opens to pick up later, but everything worked out. The pizza was amazing and I would definitely eat it again. We tried the Buffalo chickpea and tomato pie. We also tried a vegan garbage plate, which was delicious. I wouldn't mind some "meat" sauce on top, though. I'm excited for our next order - the antipasto and pickle pizzas look so good!! Definitely try this place if you are vegan (or not!). They also support great local causes and are a wonderful business to support in the area.

I ordered the antipasto pizza and I wanted to love it so bad but I didn't It was extremely salty and I couldn't finish it. However, the garlic knots were on point

Made the drive from Buffalo for this place and was not disappointed! I got the Buffalo chickpea pizza and mozzarella sticks. Both were incredible! I heard they sell out of the mozzy sticks often so I made sure to order ahead right before I started my drive. When I arrived everything was hot and tasty. My only regret? I should have gotten a large pizza instead of a small because it was that good. Can't wait to come back and try some more pizza and those garlic knots.

We all found something to love here. We started with the pickled things, served in the cutest mismatched china. Everything was delicious, but the carrots were the standout -- so good we joked about drinking the pickling liquid. We also tried the Pink Lemonade and the Strawberry Alarm Clock juices, both incredibly fresh and vibrant. You could taste every ingredient. Since we couldn't decide on just one entrée, we split the Thai Kale Salad and the Buddha Bowl (with added mushrooms and avocado). The Thai Kale Salad was everything you want it to be -- bright, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. We were sure it would be the star of the meal. Then the Buddha Bowl arrived. The smoky tofu, creamy coconut rice, perfectly dressed kale, and all the veggies worked together beautifully. But the real showstopper was the added mushrooms -- so rich and full of depth that we nearly fought over them. We enjoyed everything out on their patio and left already planning our next visit. A wonderful meal all around.

I was looking for more plant-based proteins and foods that would fill me up so I'm not quite as hungry when fasting. I really do enjoy this service. The quality of the food is very good. I love that there is a variety of meal options, and these are rotated in and out at a good rate. I think I've only had one or two repeat meals in the month I've been purchasing. I am not a vegan, but I do like to eat primarily plant-based and the recipes the chef comes up with are quite ingenious. They sound very interesting and have a lot of cultural influences. I particularly like the asian inspired meals, noodle bowls, Indian... last week there was a Moroccan Bean stew, and it looked so good, I let my dad have it because he wanted to try out a meal. I prefer to pick up my order each week. They have a nice curbside pickup system working right now. You can get food delivered for a fee to the Rochester and Buffalo areas. I prefer to save a few dollars and I have made it a part of my Sunday routine that's focused on me. There is only one drawback. Meals come to you in plastic take out containers. They are very durable and great for taking to work. But I wish these could somehow be more environmentally friendly. I do recycle, but I worry it's not enough. If you feel pressed for time in your week and would like to have really tasty, healthy, flavorful meals this is a great option. At $12.00 per meal, it is somewhat expensive, but at the same time maybe it's not given that food prices at grocery stores have gone up. It isn't a frozen Healthy Choice bowl, and you are getting your money's worth in terms of portion size, food quality and nutritional value.

I am an infantile vegan (only 5 months) and lasagna was a meal I was going to miss. Also I have found myself eating a lot of processed vegan foods due to convenience and sweet pea offered a solution to my *problems*. I ordered lasagna, butternut squash soup, muffins, and tikka masala. The muffins were amazing and moist and not chewy like a lot of vegan baked goods. The cauliflower bechamel in the lasagna was also noteworthy. But fast forward to the tikka masala- Wow! The price was right as the portions lasted me all week and saved me so much time. Also the nutrition information is provided and you can pronounce all the ingredients and the calories are reasonable. Also happy with the protein content of all these items! One recommendation would be- I personally added salt to the dishes. I find this common with vegan food though and appreciate that people can salt to taste. All of this, and the meals were dropped off at my door ready to be microwaved. I highly recommend even if not a vegan just a healthy option for those nights you can't or don't want to cook. Also to the other review that this place was pricey and packaging was not eco friendly- do you know that offering eco friendly packaging would subsequently increase costs even more? Unfortunately you can't have it all, at least without paying for it.
