The pipes under our sink were poorly installed by a previous plumber and that, combined with a blockage in the pipes, caused a major leak in our kitchen. We called Good Plumbing and they were able to come the next day. Carlos clearly knew what he was doing and he re-installed the pipes under the sink correctly despite not having much room to work with. I have removed 2 stars because: 1. He didn't have a pipe snake with him and wanted to charge us for an hour of extra time ($117) just to go and get one, plus even more to do the actual snaking. What kind of plumber doesn't have at least a small pipe snake on his truck? We went to Lowes the next day and picked up a 25ft snake for $30 and, with that and some Liquid Plumr and hot water, we unblocked the pipe ourselves with no problem. 2. He recommended replacing the disposal, which had stopped working properly, but when we turned the reset underneath it with an Allen key, the disposal started working again just fine. So in summary, Carlos is probably a good plumber but he did make us wonder whether he was just trying to make extra money off the situation. read more

Just a great, local, plumbing company. Just about every time I have a party, someone manages to destroy my garbage disposal. I called Good Plumbing Service because of their ad in my neighborhood association newsletter. They were willing to come over right away. I told them it wasn't an emergency and got the first appointment of the morning, the next day. The plumber was on time and got the job done lickety-split. He did several tests to make sure I wouldn't have other problems with it and was completely done in under an hour. If you are part of the Inspiration Point Neighborhood Association, you will get a discount, yay! FYI, I did get a notice recently that they no longer bill for their services, you must pay at the time of service, so just be aware of that. read more

We had a big leak from our bathtub/shower at night. Victor came out and was super helpful. He arrived quickly, was very polite (offered to take his shoes off), and quickly got to fixing the problem. He hadn't seen our type of valve before but quickly diagnosed that we needed a replacement cartridge, and even showed me how to find the part number and order the cartridge myself as it was an easy fix. I'm so grateful to find an honest, helpful, and competent plumber on short notice for an emergency leak. I would recommend these guys for sure! read more

I have used this Yelp account for years and have never previously posted a negative review but I guess that there is a first time for everything. The name "Good" plumbing could not have been anymore misleading! I had hired them to perform work on a number of tenant units on May 6th, 2014 and paid them $293 on May 7th 2014 for having the cups and springs changed on one of the units and one of the sinks "snaked" in another unit. This week (August, 4th, 2014), the sink in the unit which had the cups and springs replaced began leaking again significantly. When I called "Good" Plumbing this morning regarding the issue, they were very quick to inform me that there is absolutely no warranty for this work. I was transferred to the manager Brenda McKean who informed me that because the cups and springs are only "rubber parts" and because 3 months have passed, "Good" plumbing bears no responsibility for this labor. She also cited the invoice I was sent on 5/7 which explicitly states that there is no warranty for these sort of jobs as no units were outright replaced. However, it is important to note that I was only informed that there was no warranty for this sort of labor (my $295 just isn't enough money for them I guess) via the invoice, which I had received AFTER the work had already been performed. I suggested to Brenda that in the future that perhaps they should instruct potential clients beforehand if there is no warranty for any labor about to be performed, not afterwards. If I would have known this work came with no warranty, I certainly would have never hired them for these jobs in the first place! Rather than take this advice constructively or offer to meet me in the middle, Brenda decided to reassert her stance that they should have no liability whatsoever as this was minor work and they are not responsible for what happens afterwards, especially months down the road. When I reiterated that they should make such a disclosure to their clients initially, and that I'd like to share my situation on Yelp so that others avoid my pitfall, she took an adversarial position once again and told me to feel free to write on 'Yelp' and she will respond. It is more than reasonable not to warranty sinks for unforeseeable problems that occur months down the road. However, it is not acceptable to make such disclosures in such a fashion. This is a business which values milking every cent out of their clientele as opposed to building long term relationships with local homeowners. I'm fortunate to have found another plumbing company today who actually does warranty their work moving forward. I'm not sure who the owner of this woeful company is, but I would certainly look to take back some control of oversight from the current management team as well as make sure any and all disclosures are made in advance to potential clients. read more

I'm compelled to write a good review of Good Plumbing for the following reasons: Brenda in the front office scheduled a plumber to come out on the same day that I called and then called me back later to let me know that someone would be out sooner than originally planned. When I met Aspen at my front door, he was ready to get to work and tested the issue to see where the problem was. He was careful and intent on clearing my main sewer line with the least amount of impact on my house with regard to smell and mess. His co-worker, Victor, arrived to help out, and after a short wait the two were declaring mission accomplished. I spent the weekend and most of Monday worrying that the backed up drain issue was going to turn into a huge price tag but after relying on Good Plumbing to check it out, snake the line and evaluate the drain line I am confident the issue is resolved. I had been looking for a trustworthy and reliable plumber for some time, and am delighted to have finally found one! I have called them to work on my home and a rental property. Each time, they have shown up when they said they would, and provided the services in a satisfactory fashion. Once, I was prepared to replace a hot water heater - and definitely not prepared for that expense! But, when Good Plumbing showed up for the call, the plumber tightened some of the gadgetry, and didn't even charge me for the call - which was actually an unexpected bonus. These peeps scheduled me in same day for a drippy bathroom faucet AND showed up at the exact time they said they would, I was actually a few min late getting to my house because I had assumed that all plumbers run late, my bad. I am writing this review for three reasons: their names, Brenda (at the front desk), Aspen and Eli (plumbers to the rescue.) I called with my main line clogged and family coming in two hours. Brenda was able to send out not one but two plumbers within half an hour. They were polite, efficient and quick. My in-laws were unaware of the plumbing problems and we couldn't be happier. They gave us sound advice on how to avoid the same problem in the future. They were thorough and blew out our lines twice just to make sure that the problem had been fixed. Wow. These guys were great. I had an evaporative cooler installed, and the faucet where the cooling company installed it started leaking right away. The cooling company said I needed to call a plumber and recommended one, but that company wasn't really interested in such a small job. I found Good Plumbing in my local Northwest Denver Tribune newspaper and decided to give them a call. They were out the next day and fixed my problem right away - and the best news is that they charged me nothing. They are super nice, very knowledgeable and very responsive. These guys deserve some good ol' praise! They have fixed plumbing issues at my house and at my business. I own a salon and use lots of water. Recently I had a streak of bad luck at the shop with plumbing issues twice in a month on a weekend while we were seeing customers. I called Good Plumbing Service's emergency number and they were able to come out within a reasonable timeframe on both occasions. I was quoted the after hours price at about $150-$200 per hour, which is steep - but I completely understand and appreciate the effort and sacrifice they make to respond to emergencies. Both times I ended up paying far less than what I was originally quoted because the jobs turned out more minor than anticipated. There are times when you've just got to write a review. 5 minutes ago the woman who answered the phone at Good Plumbing hung up on me. I've used Good Plumbing four times. The first three times they were great. The first time they snaked a toilet and the second and third unclogged a drain in my basement that would over flow every two years. The fourth time I called was late July and I asked for the same basement drain to be unclogged (it had overflowed the night before) and the service be performed in the afternoon since I couldn't take the morning off work. They called an hour later and said someone was on their way and would be there at 10 a.m. and I had to once again ask for an afternoon call. When the plumber came at 4 p.m. he turned on several faucets and when the basement drain didn't overflow, he said the problem had solved itself and I would be charged for the call and left. That same drain continued to overflow. I'm doing work on my house and my contractor was out of town. I waited for him to return, he called out his plumber and they unclogged the basement drain with a snake. As Good Plumbing was sending me bills for their service and threatening to send me to collections, I had a death in the family, a parent diagnosed with a terminal illness, and a few other significant life changes. I finally had time to call Good Plumbing this afternoon and when I explained what happened, the woman said she would write off the expense but that it was ridiculous I'd waited this long to call and when I said I'd had several significant life events happen in the last two months and challenged her customer service skills she hung up on me. No acknowledgment for the poor service on the part of the plumber. Death and terminal illness should trump a plumbing bill for services not rendered. read more

I had these folks into my home in Edgewater for our new water meter setup. They were friendly, considerate of my home and space and made sure I was satisfied. I was told the meter thing had to be a certain height outside of my home and noticed neighbors had it lower (which is what I would have preferred). So I'm not sure if they were wrong or the folks who installed the same thing on my neighbor's house did it wrong. That said, I will likely call these guys for a quote on future work. read more

I have used this company for several plumbing needs at rental properties. At first they were reliable and fair on pricing, however the past couple years I have had to call to confirm appointments because they get canceled last minute and the billing has become more than questionable. When they charge over $300 for a 1/2 toilet rebuild (part cost less than $20 at HD) and say it is labor and parts. I think I can find a new honest plumber that doesn't charge lawyer rates. read more

After calling because my wife used to know a previous employee that worked there, a guy came out and said he would patch it up for no charge no cost. We had a pin hole leak. They came out and put a screw clamp over it with a piece of rubber which kept leaking all over the place but the water still barely worked with low pressure thankfully we had a sump pump. After he said it would be no cost and not to worry about it, a few days later we got a $205.76 bill. For a screw clamp and tiny piece of rubber that was lazily put on. I called and informed Brenda of the situation. She was very rude and even said she was going to take us to court. They lie and charge outrageous amounts. We had a REAL plumbing service come out and fix their 'duct tape' method which makes me wonder if they even know how to handle real copper. They charged us $105 to PROPERLY fix it. I would NEVER want anyone to use their service. Lying 7to customers, threats, the most unprofessional company I have ever heard of. Cost was a joke. They literally just took a piece of rubber with a screw clamp for their fix. Quality was a joke. Customer service...a huge joke. It was LITERALLY the WORST service provider experience I have ever had in my life. I am not even joking. I hope these morons waste money to take us to court to try and charge us for a service they said would be free. Reported to the bbb and than brenda said i was a previous employee lol. I am not.
