Good Source is a new coffee shop owned by two of the friendliest people I've met. The husband-and-wife duo happened to be in the café when my girlfriends and I stopped by after a hike at Daley Ranch, which is about 10 minutes away. So, what makes Good Source... so good? I'm happy to share! As soon as I walked in, I noticed how spacious and clean the place was, and the finishing touches on the decor were beautiful. I ordered the Honey Latte with Oat Milk, and it was the perfect way to kick-start my morning! One of my friends, who isn't a big coffee drinker, ordered a Mocha with a half-shot and said it was the best she's had. They offer both vegan and non-vegan options. For a treat, I chose the vegan Chai Donut, recommended by Good Source's friendly cashier, and it was delish. Parking was easy to find since the coffee shop is located in a plaza with plenty of spaces. The staff and owners are incredibly helpful and kind. I'm thrilled this coffee shop has opened; based on my experience, it's a fantastic addition to the community. I stopped by for a coffee after a hike with my girlfriends. We were immediately greeted as soon as we walked in. I love their decor and how spacious it is. They also have a good sized parking lot. The barista was friendly and helpful. I ordered a mocha latte and pepperoni croissant. They mainly have regular and vegan pastries for food but they said they will eventually have acai bowls. This place is super cute! Their Matcha strawberry is very good! I told them I needed to limit my caffine intake and they were able to accomodate. It is a little pricey but it is still reasonable with all costs increasing in this economy. It's very chic inside and there were a lot of people here. I feel like they come here for coffee and to do their work. There were so many people on their laptops. Seasonal items looks great, I went during the end of February so Im not sure if they still have their seasonal items. Highly recommend and look forward to the next time. read more

Wow! When you enter Good Source Coffee, you'll notice folks sitting at tables, visiting and enjoying their drinks. That's a good sign for me, when the ambiance is so good that people hang out at the cafe. Their coffee tastes great and they use ceremonial grade matcha. On our second visit, the staff asked us to remind them of our names, which was so cool to be remembered when they clearly see many guests throughout the week. I. freakin. love. this. place. My folks live in the area and I was so excited when they told me about a new coffee shop that opened near their house. Now I make it a requirement to stop by if I'm in the area. I've tried multiple drinks from their Vanilla Latte, Iced Red Velvet Latte, and my absolute favorite, the Einspanner Matcha Latte. Everything is amazing but their Einspanner is one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had. It's truly why I keep coming back. The staff are always very friendly, efficient, and truly know their stuff. The shop itself is very spacious but it does get busy! Which, to me, is great. Somewhere I saw pictures posted of this place, and the pictures were good enough to entice me to check it out this morning. This place was happening! People sitting inside & out, and 4 people in line ahead of me. Even so, I had my drink in less than 5 mins, if that. What drew me here were their matcha drinks. The only reason I've still been going to Starbucks was because I hadn't found a good matcha drink that's sweetened anywhere. Well, Good Source Coffee just gave me the most delicious reason to officially breakup with SB! *hooray!* The girl at the counter was very nice and helpful, and after telling her what I was craving & asking her opinion, I ordered the Einspanner Matcha with added maple sweetener. This place is amazing! I had the salted maple latte and the cookie warmed up, all together was $9! You will hardly find that nowadays. All the syrups are homemade and as a self-proclaimed espresso connoisseur, Good Source has the best thus far in Escondido. Last time we came on a Saturday afternoon, they ran out of matcha so we made sure to come earlier at around 10:30 am. Parking was easy to find and there was a good amount of seating but they were packed! We ordered the vanilla bean latte, banana matcha and matcha einspanner with vanilla syrup, all with oat milk (an extra 50¢). The vanilla bean latte was good and strong and a good amount of sweetness! I like that I can taste the vanilla without it tasting artificial. Both the banana matcha and matcha einspanner were creamy and sweet and the creams didn't overpower the matcha too much. I wish the banana cream had more banana flavor because when mixed in, it didn't taste too different from the einspanner. The einspanner was pretty milky and got too sweet but it's probably cause of the added vanilla syrup. Service was pretty quick despite it being busy. I would come back for the coffee if I'm in the area! read more

As much as I want to like this place I just can't. I have given 3 times in different occassions and the coffee here just doesn't taste like coffee. I came in today with my friends and the lady by the register didn't seem friendly and welcoming. I order a vanilla bean latte and a breakfast sandwich The latte look good and with the design. After taking my first sip it tasted so bitter. I even told my friends this coffee is not good. They didn't do a good job with the pull. It tasted like burnt marshmallow. I didn't finish it. Waste of money The breakfast sandwich was egg, bacon and cheese. To me it wasn't the greatest and really didn't taste like anything. I also left half of it. The place here is really nice to get together and just do some work or have a conversation with someone. Their music is a little bit too loud though. I feel like I would go to this place more for the vibes than the drinks, let me explain... With plentiful seating, me and 6 other friends were able to grab chairs all around us and sit together. With how open the coffee shop is and the size, there's plenty of space and seating for everyone. I could tell that this is somewhere where a lot of people come to get good coffee and do work. However, I wasn't particularly impressed by the drinks. We got the "salted maple" and "dulce de leche." And both were far from unique. They both really tasted like a bland latte... and they both tasted exactly the same! For both drinks, they didn't seem to be sweetened at all. As both should have some form of sweetener (either from the "sauce" or "house-made maple"), the sweetness really didn't come out at all. Though I usually like my drinks less sweet, there really wasn't much sweetness at all. I was a bit disappointed as both just seem like milk + coffee. I understand that good coffee doesn't need much, but I feel like I was misled to think these would be different drinks. I've gone here twice now. They have a pretty big area to enjoy treats and study/work that does fill up. I've had their strawberry matcha and their brown butter latte, both were delicious. The second time I ordered around 7 drinks and the wait wasn't long at all for what I ordered. The cafe also sells treats, I ordered 2 but wasn't able to try one because we forgot about it before leaving. The fruit danish was yummy.
