Now drinks.. don't expect a classic Old Fashion this is served sweet, with large orange wedge and in a cup filled with ice and a straw. Same with the Dirty martini, made extra dirty with 3 large olives in a short glass full of ice..hmm. Be specific when you order your drinks. Good beer selection. read more

Prime rib taste like yesterday's prime rib maybe even last week end. I was hungry and end up spitting out most of the tough meat. Husband had southern fried chicken that's tough as a Rick which is surprising for a chicken. The only good thing is the service. We been to this restaurant after our Black Friday shopping trip at the Desert Hills Outlet. It`s actually the third year we came to this place, since the Morongo Casino is so close to the outlet and a great and fun way to end the day in Cabazon. I like the lively atmosphere here and even with Covid-19 and all the restrictions it was a enjoyable visit. All three years we been served by Gerry. Seem to be a good place to work for, if he is still there. We ordered two Veggie Burger with fries. The plant based patty was tasty and I like that the burger comes with Swiss Cheese (my favorite). We also asked if it would be possible to order one dish without any salt (we recently try to reduce sodium a little more) which was not a problem at all. To be honest, there might be better burgers to eat, but the mood is very good, plus people working here are friendly and helpful. Next time I might try the Grilled Salmon. Looks tasty. Great customer service! Our server Robyn must be a stand up comedian in her other life. We were there for 2 nights with a group of 15. She handled everything with such a great attitude. The food both nights was amazing! The first night I had the fish tacos recommended by our server. They were beer battered, hot, crispy, and not too much breading, with a chipotle mayo. I also had the blackberry margarita, it was delicious and fresh. The next night I had the grilled salmon with caper berry. Absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and layers of flavor. Others in our group had Cajun pasta, pizza, prime rib, filet mignon, Asian shrimp salad, and spaghetti and meatballs. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal, drinks, and the customer service. We were very thankful that they were willing to accommodate our large group, they had a variety of options, everything was expertly cooked and beautifully prepared. If you're in Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa and hungry stop by Goodtimes Cafe for great food and even greater customer service. Our food and the people that helped was so great we went 2 days on a row! Thank you Mary, who's the first one to greet us. Your job is not given enough credit to set the tone of how the experience will be in the restaurant. The both times she took us she was friendly, professional and happy to see us. Annabell, our server from the first night, was very friendly, patient to all our questions, and was always checking on us if everything was good. Tiffany, our server the second night, was as attending, patient, and friendly as well. Even the older gentleman with the shaved head that took our dishes afterwards was also friendly! Kudos to members the staff that we interacted with. They are assets and represent the restaurant well. As far as the food are concern, well there's a reason why we came to this establishment 2 days in a row, and it's not just the service:) First night we ordered the filet mignon, chicken alfredo, and the kids spaghetti and meatballs. All are great and don't let the cafe name fool you, this place, from the food the drinks, and the decor, is more than a cafe. The food was great and better than we expected! The portions were huge too! It was so good that we went for dinner there the next night. ( We stayed at the resort) . This time we had the night's special which was NY steak with coconut shrimp, the pork chops, and the chicken alfredo again. We tried 2 new dishes because the other 2 we had thr night before was so good we wanted to try the other offerings. And they didn't disappoint! The meats were juicy and tender, the pastas was on point again. Also don't discount the sauces and the veggies they used with our dishes, they were excellent as well. The atmosphere, the food, the staff, were all great and make you feel like family, and can't ask for more. Thank you everyone for making our stay here memorable. I am not one to usually leave reviews, but this location really made me upset due to their actions. My family and I went here for mother's day dinner. I understand it is mother's day and a wait time is expected. Once we were seated, they were quick to take our order. During the time we waited for our food, nobody approached us to ask if we were okay or inform us that they were running behind or short staff. After a 2 hour wait for food, I finally stood up to politely ask how much longer. My mother was feeling unwell so I asked for a bag since she felt like she was going to throw up. After I asked for the bag, the manager approached us to see if we were okay then left. They waited for our food to arrive and after we had taken a bite or two out of our plates the manager returned with security and a paramedic to let us know we needed to leave because my mother was throwing up. This could have been communicated to us before the food arrived or she could have asked my mother to step outside. What has me most upset is that they waited until the food was touched to kick us out. We were there waiting for over 2 hours and at no moment did anyone check up on us. They still had audacity to tell us we were required to pay our full bill when we hadn't even taken more than 2 or 3 bites. The management present that moment at this location has no consideration for customer service. All she cared about was making sure we didn't leave without paying. I asked the manager why she was doing all of this until now and it wasn't addressed before. She remained quiet just looking at me with a blank stare and didn't respond. This was a horrible experience especially during mother's day. Definitely do not recommend this specific restaurant. I'm not speaking about the rest of Morongo just this restaurant. "Good Times" ? Wonderful service especially Olivia and Alejandra. Even though there menu is really vast, from chili rellenos to biscuits and gravy, I have literally never had a bad meal here, EVER! Normally restaurants that don't specialize in one type of cuisine are just average or worse and serve alot of previously frozen food. Not here. And if you are a huge biscuits and gravy fan, this place is for you!!! The biscuits are fluffy and soft. They absolutely must have a southwrn baker there because these biscuits are proper!! Great Spot inside the Casino main floor, it was Christmas Day, Dinner time, cold and wet outside and the server attitude brings warmth to our heart (me and my wife). We went to Morongo Casino for the buffet but it is still closed. We found Good Times Cafe which is also located inside the casino. It was a 45 min. Wait time but were seated in about 20 min. Service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious and presented nicely. I wanted to try everything in their menu, so it took me awhile to decide what to order. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told there was going to be a 35-40 minute wait. That was understandable based on the social distancing that has been done inside the restaurant. However we were never told that sitting at the bar was an option. When we finally returned after our wait, another gentleman who just arrived was able to walk in and sit at the bar and get his meal and he even had his dinner served before ours. I had the prime rib and it was amazing it was one of the best prepared I have ever eaten. My wife had the steak and lobster and was disappointed. The steak was overcooked and the lobster was eh. The restaurant said they would give us a 10% discount due to the poor meal for my wife. When the waitress returned to our table gave us somebody else's check which was $20-$30 higher than what we originally were charged and waitress had run my card. This was resolved. I was informed by some family members that this was a good spot to eat, so we gave it a go. I must say, the atmosphere is very relaxing, amd the staff is super nice. I got the prime rib, because that's what I was craving. Im not a big veggie fan so I got extra mashed potatoes. The spuds were good, but I found them slightly lacking, possibly salt or pepper, or something else. None the less, I ate them because they were still good. My steak was not bad either. I would highly recommend ordering your meat cooked one level kess than what you would normally get, so that way its exactly what you want when its brought to the table. Good Times Cafe has amazing food and amazing staff! They are always so kind and accommodating and we have never had an issue here. They're good is also very delicious. My personal favorite is the salmon. The sauce on it is soooo good. The Buffalo wings and calamari are super tasty. The steak is also really yummy and their drinks are good too. We also love that you can call ahead to add your name to the waitlist so you don't have to wait as long. Overall, Good Times is a great restaurant and we love coming here. read more

The first time we tried this large poolside cafe we were amazed at how great the meatloaf special was. So, we went out of our way to stop in again, to see if it was a fluke. It wasn't! The smart, talented chef here is a total star! Today was the fifth time we've pulled off Hwy 10, to enjoy another satisfying experience. Here, we get the best fish and chips since Dublin, Ireland's most famous fish and chips. One taste and you'll think you're oceanside eating the catch of the day. We've had it four times and it's consistently great! I know! I am gushing about a desert resort casino's cafe! I'm a quick-to-complain foodie curmudgeon and I need their fried chicken "therapy" a couple of times a month. It's what crispy, crunchy, perfectly seasoned, tender and juicy fried chicken promises to be, and never is everywhere but here. (Forget Murph's gaslight in Bermuda Dunes.) Good Times Cafe is better than Savannah, Georgia's most famous fried chicken destination. The cafe's front desk personnel can be gnarly, but once you're in, the cafe's servers are happy and attentive (apparently because they're well paid and have health care). We nervously took some foodie friends to Good Times and, while the horrid, music noise impaired conversation and the whole dining experience, they loved the food. And they don't love anything! The "music" sounds like junk being thrown down basement stairs, and it's way too loud. Please, turn down the thuddy funky noise, that seriously spoils the experience, and keep up the remarkable quality of what you're serving. BTW: Even the cheesecake is the real, creamy deal! Waaay better than the pastry shop right next door. Good Times Chef, please keep up the great quality! ***Edit** Rec'd new flyer yesterday (posted photo) and saw that they fixed it. I appreciate that they did something about it. The review is more like 3.5, but I'll round up for good measure. Let's start off with an issue that I had on my first experience at this cafe. My husband and I received a promotional food credit from Morongo. We decided to go have breakfast, use our credit at Good Times, and play a few slots on a Saturday morning. We let the server know upfront that we would be utilizing our credit. She denied us by explaining that the credit could only be used during the week. Hubby and I just looked at each other and we just told the waitress "Ok". I went home and thoroughly checked my mailer that I received. It didn't specify any kind of restrictions. I decided to call the manager a few days later for a resolution . I spoke to "Asha" (I believe that is what I heard) She handled the call nicely and told me she would look into it right away and would call me back.. never heard a word from her. I thought, "Oh well".. until I received an email from the casino, which I'll post, reminding me that I had an unused food credit. Again, nothing that had any restrictions. We decided to go back to the casino last weekend for a day out. I decided to discuss the incident at the cafe from our prior trip and showed them my email about the food credit. I also let him know I was displeased about the bait and switch. He did confirm that they are not allowed to accept the food credits on weekends. I then told him that this is not fair to the customer and that we drove an hour to have breakfast the previous weekend so that we could use it and got denied. He was very understanding and gave us a $20 comp for the restaurant. Morongo needs to fix this issue ASAP. Very unfair to the customer! On to the food. I had a shrimp po boy and Caesars salad on my first visit. Sandwich was very good except the shrimp wasn't hot- bummer! Salad was very good! Last trip, I had breakfast croissant sandwich with turkey sausage and it was excellent! Served hot & fresh! I tasted hubs pancakes and they were delicious! Food is a little pricey for a cafe but at least it was good. I don't mind paying a little more if quality matches up and it does in this case. Service is decent.. Workers could be a little friendlier and more attentive, though. Overall, it was decent, I recommend (overall) for a quick bite to eat. Understandable it's a Sunday morning.. came back after 40 mins and told our table was accidentally given away and had to wait another 30- not understandable. My food was given away to someone else.. ended up eating hash browns and toast because the waitress never came by until it was time for our check. Oh my GOSH! My husband stopped by Morongo on our way to Palm Springs to eat at the buffet (something he hates, but it was Valentine's Day and I played that card because I like buffets). Turns out most of the IE was there for the Valentine Buffet because the wait was FOUR HOURS. Then we found Good Times Cafe. 30 minute-wait and found seats to wait at the bar. Forgot to get her name, but the bartender was awesome. Gave great suggestions, and smiled genuinely. Our meal though??!!!?? Captain McYachty got the VDay special and I ordered fish tacos and beet salad. Our waitress, Maria, assured me that it was amazing, although different. Boy war she right! And I order fish tacos regularly (as well as make them at home) and THESE WERE THE BEST EVER!! My husband asked Maria to send her manager over, not telling her that we were going to complement how wonderful it was. Lizette was gracious and proud of her team. Had dinner here at the Morongo a few days ago... I can tell you that I wish I had not eaten here. Ordered the Shrimp Po Boy sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. I was very VERY specific as I asked for sweet potato fries and the waitress nodded okay... come back about 10-15 minutes later, I got a side of regular fries. Here's the part that really upset me... I asked the waiter politely that I asked for sweet potato fries, she replied stating "no, you ordered regular fries." with an annoyed grin on her face like I said something wrong. "Would you like regular fries?" in a condescending voice. I said "Sure." She took the regular fries. I actually ended up finishing the sandwich before I even got the fries. She asked at the end, "need anything else?".... I said "yeah, I don't have my fries". She went about her way in an annoying way to ask the cooks whom looked very confused. Finally I got my fries. Never had a refill on my water. Finished eating... seriously upset. No apology from the waiter. I understand how hard it is for a waiter to do their job dealing with difficult customers so my patience is on another level at restaurants. However, this one was something else. I'll probably never eat here again just because of the customer service (or lack thereof). The food was actually not bad if you need my opinion on it. This place is so amazing- I wish I lived closer and could come every day! The Ruby Red Slipper and the BlackBerry Margarita are both really awesome. The club sandwich is very good, and the Tortilla soup is literally the most awesome I've ever had. Trying the prime rib later tonight, and I'm pretty sure I'll love it too.
