This was my first time actually visiting this Goodcents location in person after normally ordering through DoorDash, and unfortunately it was a terrible experience. My husband and I were the only customers in the store, and the employee helping us was moving so fast through the order that I politely said, "Can we please go at my speed?" because I was trying to look at the options. Her attitude changed immediately after that. She became rude, started aggressively throwing toppings onto my sandwich, and when I asked why she was being rude to me, she told me my comment was rude to her. When I tried to calmly ask how, she told me to "stop talking to her." After that, she pulled my husband's bacon out of the warmer and threw it onto the counter. The interaction became so uncomfortable and hostile that I chose to leave the store altogether. I understand there are always two sides to every story, which is exactly why I encourage management to review their security footage from around 4 PM on 5/23/26. It will speak for itself. I'll also be honest and acknowledge that as I was walking out the door, after everything had already escalated, I muttered "bitch" under my breath out of frustration. I'm not pretending I handled that final moment perfectly. But that happened after being spoken to disrespectfully and told to "stop talking" simply for asking questions while ordering. The entire interaction was unnecessary, disrespectful, and honestly shocking considering we were the only customers in the store. We were greeted immediately, our subs were perfectly made (delicious and fresh ingredients) and we enjoyed our time in the lobby while we ate - cold air conditioning and fun music. The clerk offered to cut our shared 16" turkey sub into quarters and put each half on our own tray. Nice little anticipation of what would make our meal easier to share. I hate to give a sub shop 5 stars but I can't come up with any negatives here. When i want a sub I immediately think of Subway. But i had one of these from a party tray at a party recently and YUM! I was impressed with the meat being sliced when i ordered and not being thawed out or slimy from sitting around. I appreciated the simplicity of the options. The bread alone is perfection! Sandwich was great and a lot of options to choose from. They didn't skimp on the meat or veggies. Only downfall from a customer perspective is dining room was a little small. Business is good for this establishment as the line was all the way to the door so others must enjoy the food as much as we did. They worked through the line well though. They were unable to fulfill a catering order and then when the customer was frustrated they kept saying the store was short staffed. 3 catering outdoors were not available and they had two sandwich trays sitting out on the tables that were set to be picked up at 3pm (it was 11:30am when we arrived). There was also a baby crying behind the counter. I'm confused why a store couldn't fulfill a catering order (2 sandwich trays) when it was ordered a day and half in advance. The manager also said she was the owner after we said we were going to call. Then the employees in the background yelled, oh shit we didn't make those sandwich trays. I've been going to goodcents for a very long time and had great experiences up until lately. I went to pick up a catering order for my mom and was met with a dismissive and rude employee. I work in food service so I understand having an off day but I would never treat customers the way he treated me. I said I had a carry out for Megan miller, he told me Megan Michael. I clarified the last name and he dismissed me and told me my total. I thought this was odd because my mom usually pays for her orders online but he was not willing to hear me out. I paid for my order and my mom called the store to let them know they gave me the wrong order. The same employee was on the phone and told her that she should send someone who knows her name next time. I did not receive a refund so I followed up twice and continued to not get a refund. I was really disappointed because Goodcents is my favorite sandwich shop but I dont think I'll be coming back anytime soon. read more

It has been years since I ate here but was next-door with my granddaughter getting yogurt. Ordered the Italian which was cut for me while I watched. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Today we ordered a couple sandwiches to be delivered. On the website it told us it would be 1 hour before delivered which was a long time but we were fine with it. After an hour they didn't show up, call the shop to get an ETA and they said the shop got busy but they'll get it out in the next few minutes, I clarified 10-15 minutes they verified my address and yes YES. Another HOUR later I call d AGAIN to see if our order was in route, they advised me they would get it out and it would be another 20 minutes. Of coarse I canceled my order and asked for a refund.... IF YOU CANNOT SUPPORT DELIVERY ORDERS DO NOT ACCEPT THEM. I will never be ordering from them ever again, looks like JImmy Johns will be getTing our business. Obviously very Poorly managed. We placed a delivery order 2 hours before we needed it for our daughter's move day. When we called to check on the status of the delivery after it hadn't shown up we were told that they had gotten busy and were afraid they wouldn't have enough bread, so they just weren't going to make or send our order. They didn't call they gave us no prior warning. They charged my credit card and then just decided to not make our order and not tell us they were just leaving our group high and dry. This location is not good, I've been twice because I thought I would give it another chance - both times it was pretty much disgusting. The lettuce was wilting in the trays, the tomatoes looked old, the bread wasn't fresh, the servers look like meth heads and the place was over 100 degrees, bathrooms are nasty. If there is a sandwich expert in town that would be me. So listen closely. Was here at 11am Saturday and ordered the "favorite" which is Italian. After saying hello I didn't get a greeting back. I was not asked which size or type of bread. I wasn't ask if I wanted xtra meat or cheese which I would have took like I do at Subway. I was not asked if I wanted it toasted so I asked if they could toast it. They reluctantly did. Most of the veggies looked like crap so I settled for lettuce, onion, tomato. I got what was left of the mayo in the container. The meat, cheese, and bread tasted great and fresh. Very friendly staff, but what you come here for is a sammich. YES, this place does it right, the bread is soft and fluffy like a cloud over manhattan, the toppings are bountiful, and the cheese is fresh. Blows subway out of the water with its torpedo like 8' goodness. After I ordered spaghetti and meatballs online, and paid, we arrived and were told it would be a bit for the meatballs we had paid for- so we waited. The order was eventually packaged and given to us. We got home - and had no meatballs. With it being a 40 minute drive, we sent a note to guest relations- explaining the above. I then received a definition : "Thank you for taking the time reach out to us about our pasta. We love hearing from our guests and take special care to address every comment, idea, and suggestion you may have. We have a few different pasta options served with red sauce - our pasta with marinara is vegetarian and does not include meatballs, and our pasta with meatballs both marinara sauce and meatballs. Sandwiches are a bit pricey, but their specials bring it down to reasonable. The bread is infinitely better than Subway or Jimmy John's, and Goodcents has a much larger menu, including hot pastas. I had the 8 inch turkey sub and my friend had the 12 inch roast beef. Both very tasty. The staff wasnt particularly helpful, even though they knew we had not been here. I was pretty impressed with this location. Had some gift certificates and had an errand to run in this area so I thought I would have a quick sit down lunch. It's been awhile since I have been to a (Mr) Goodcents (pretty sure they are just called Goodcents now), but I remember when I worked close to one years ago we would always make a trip for the chicken noodle soup. The eating area is smallish and clean. I was promptly greeted and told that she would be with me in a moment. I ordered a meatball sub and since I was trying to flesh out a $20 certificate went for the 16". Ordered a drink and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Cashier recommended taking a cookie with me as they could not give me cash of the certificate (and I certainly did not expect them to). Instead of calling me back to the counter the woman brought my food out to me. That is is a lot of sandwich! I will be enjoying the other half for dinner. It's strip mall chain sandwiches-but this is much better than Subway and Little King. Pretty tasty actually. The soup was as good as I remember it-it takes a while for it to cool down they serve it very very hot. Once it does there are nice thick noodles and a pretty tasty broth with some veggies in the mix also. Went down well on this cold afternoon. I went up to get a to go bag-and the server offered to come out to my table and wrap it up for me. Honestly-this was some of the best customer service I have seen from people not working for tips. My experience at this location was less than optimal for my family and others. First, all three employees were abrupt, disrespectful, slow, lacked listening skills and organaziation of handling my order as well as other customers. They had minimal work ethic and willingness to make customers satisfied. At one point, my food, which was incorrectly placed in to go containers was removed yet placed on other.customer trays. When I asked for a tray for my family's food, the employee response was "why"? One sub came out with less than half the toppings advertised as inlcuded, again, when I asked to have it fixed, the employee acted as if she was surprised and annoyed. Another issue included incomplete utensils available and no evidence of fixing it for.everyone and finally, I noticed a tray of subs and condiments sitting out for a pickup order that had been there almost 2 hours according to the note on it. I pointed it out to an employee that it was sitting out, and the response was they were leaving it out in case the customer came...I replied, if that was my order and I found out it had been unrefrigerated, I would not want it, which received the best response by staff, an eye roll and walk away from me. Food itself was decent, but the staff left me with a bad taste in my mouth. This is in regards to the Mr. Goodscents on 168th by Village pointe. I'm giving this a 2 star rating just because the food is usually pretty good. My daughter loves goodscents, and unfortunately this location is the only location close enough to our house to deliver to us. Every time she calls to place her order they tell her to order online because they are to "busy" to take orders over the phone. What she usually orders is not on the online ordering menu, and when she places what she wants in the notes below they get it all screwed up every time! The last time she called to order the lady who answered was very rude, she told her to order online because they were too busy, shocker! So, my daughter proceeded to tell her what she wanted she couldn't order online, and every time she tries to it gets messed up. The lady then said "well what do you want me to do about it?" This is pretty sad, what could be such a great running place has to have such terrible customer service. Since then, my daughter has ordered from Jimmy Johns, and has never had an issue. Looks like Jimmy Johns gets the 5 star rating this time! read more
