Long waits for delivery. Expensive food. Lemon pepper wings are dry. Soggy pizza. And not so nice waitresses. This one waitress has no emotion and always seems annoyed. You can be waiting at the door for 5 minutes on a busy night and still not even be acknowledged by anyone. Not to mention the manager reprimanding employees in front of customers. My husband and I stopped here randomly (actually we were going to dinner at another restaurant in the same strip mall, but once inside, Goodfellas sounded better) Anyway, the inside is cute and cozy with a fire place. Loud, but it didn't bother us. They have some great beers on tap. We ordered the Racer 5 beer. WHOAH great bang for your buck! I think we paid $12.95 for a pitcher and that was some stronggggg beer. ;o) We also ordered a 16" "Da Godfather" pizza. First, the size was very generous for what was actually their medium size. The cheese was so fresh and flavorful. I liked that the veggies on it were not fully cooked-- nice crunch still. If you order online for delivery; note that they only take cash; you can't pay for it online. We got the Scarface and the Bagna Calda. Everything was just ok. Delivery was relatively quick; but odd. I don't know what happened; but the delivery guy didn't have the apartment # on the order; so he was walking around the building knocking on the doors asking the other residents if they'd ordered a pizza. Delivery failure It took 2 hours (I kid you not) for our pizza to be delivered. This could be due to the fact that I ordered at 5pm on a Saturday during NFL season playoffs... I called them at 1.5 hours and they said our pizza had just left for delivery. It does not take 30 minutes to drive anywhere in Pacifica, so I imagine they had a few deliveries before ours. Pizza arrived luke warm and very soggy. I ate one piece and was done. On a brighter note, their Caesar salad was excellent. Two stars because G. says ingredients were quality. Tonight ensured that I will never ever order from them again. 1) Delivery took almost 1hr 30mins and I even called at the one hour mark and was reassured it was on it's way. 2) Usually they give a nice amount of bread for the past but this was stale and only 2 small pieces. 3) ordered bagda cala (roasted garlic) we order this a lot but tonight the container was almost empty. Also it comes with toasted bread and I asked for soft bread cause my teeth hurt and they told me they would have to charge to switch bread...seriously. 4) Ordered veggie lasagna and it's all mozerella and some mushrooms and carrots. GROSS!!! (I'm starving and preggers so I have no choice but to eat this becasue we have nothing else to eat at home) 5) The bf let me try his pasta and it was so gross I had to spit it out... wow the quality has gone down MAJORLY....what happened???? Called to ask them to bring a new order of the garlic and was told that conveniently that their manager had just walked out the door and they couldn't do anything. Well this time we went on a Sunday afternoon hoping the service and noise factor would be better. WRONG! We walked in.....no greeting.......sat down and the 2 servers were having something to drink behind the counter and did not even look our way, After 5-6 minutes we got up to leave and told them thanks for waiting on us............LOOKED AT ME LIKE I WAS FROM OUTER SPACE DUH! It is a block away and sometimes you get lazy, but take the time and go somewhere else if service and pleasant attitudes are what you like. It is always like this in the 5 or 6 times we have gone there, but no more. The other reviews are right they do not seem happy or glad to see customers. Too bad as the food is good, and the place is close, but not worth the feeling of you are bothering someone to get service. Went here last Saturday night with the family. We had been wanting to try the newest local business and give them our support. Well, I will still eat pizza from here but probably nothing else. The space itself is very interesting, with a cozy fireplace against one wall and a big screen TV above it. It seems like they could put in a lot more tables though. Unfortunately, unless you are sitting right by the fireplace, every time that door opens it's a pretty good draft. I have had their pizza before via delivery and it was delicious. I thought if they could do pizza this well then their other Italian food should be good also. Hmmm...maybe not. I ordered the Linguine vongole (with clams) but before I did, I wanted to make sure they used FRESH clams. I made the mistake of ordering this at Luigi's and..yuck..canned clams. The waitress enthusiastically said yes and that she loved this dish. I was very excited! Unfortunately, the waitress was wrong. These were not fresh clams, they were indeed from a can of some sort. The dish overall was pretty tasty, a lot more so than Luigi's...but I felt pretty let down. I let the waitress know that next time someone asks that question, they mean..clams in the shell. She mentioned they come in fresh every day, but I think she just means by delivery..of the can. Anyway, my husband had chicken parm and we ordered pizza for the kids. The parm was ok and the pizza was delicious as always. Service...needs work! It was not good at all that my food and my husband's food came and then the kids had to wait about 10 more minutes for their pizza! Work on that timing! We order take out from Goodfellas about once a week and love it! We usually just get a large pepperoni pizza, but I've also tried their chicken wings, jalapeno poppers, garlic bread, and fettuccine alfredo, the wings and poppers being my favorites! It usually only takes them about 30-45 minutes to deliver which is cool. I have eaten inside twice and I like what they have done with the place. There are always people there, especially at night. I think my only complaint is that it's a bit pricey, but they are way better than any of the other pizza places in town so I don't mind spending a little extra. Food is pretty good although the menu is seriously lacking a strong variety of pasta that doesn't have sea food in it. Pizza and pasta are worth a try. The biggest area of improvement is with the waiters, on our visits, they've been slow to follow up and we always have to ask for water refills. Buffalo wings are a great football watching snack, but messy and got remote all sticky, be prepared for a shirt stain. Tried the standard Linguini in clam sauce was average, needed a good parmigiano reggiano shredded on top, good thing I had some in the fridge to spare. What a great spot!! We don't get out much so this was our first time, we went for my daughters end of season party. When we walked in it was busy, my first thought was great this is going to take forever the lady at the front looked totally flustered and because we were out in the mall area i figured service would suck,.....omg was i wrong! Good food and fantastic service, we had a big group and many different tabs, I was very impressed the lady did it by family with no confusion and even with almost a full house our drinks came out fast the food soon followed. We were checked on regularly and did not have one issue. I have worked in the food ind for years i know how stressful it can be, our server was calm and patient with us despite being the only one working! The cooks we're also amazing. Very friendly staff. It has been some time since I last ate here and sadly, it has headed far south. The service was never the best. Adequate at most. These are not happy people. Attitude is everything and they have nothing. If you don't like serving people, get into another profession. We had a pizza and it was less than average. The crust was soggy and the pizza was warm at best. A pizza with dry toppings and served at the table should never be this way. It should not be soggy. Ever heard of a crust mesh or crust screen. It keeps the crust from prolong contact on the pan. A soggy crust shows you have lazy cooks and slow servers. The pasta was okay. Gummy. And a bit flavorless. Again, lazy cooks and slow servers. My boyfriend and I were craving Italian, we did not want to go out to eat so looked up a place near by for pick up. We saw good reviews and decided to try it. We got one dish, linguini pasta with clam and white wine sauce and calamari. It was delicious!! It felt like i was at a five start restaurant but with a cheap bottle of wine and a movie. The pizza was good but the safety measures were not! No hand sanitizer , no face shield at cash register. None of the employees actually had their masks up covering their faces when I walked in. So I just recently moved back to Pacifica; and wanted pizza but can't stand Round Table. I read some of the reviews on here and thought that we would give it a try. So here it goes... We ordered 3 pizzas; Da Godfather, the P-Town Islander, and a medium cheese. Da Godfather - not a bad pizza, could have used some more cheese. P-Town Islander - was supposed to come with panchetta, but only had regular bacon (don't get me wrong bacon was good but that is not was advertised), the toppings were thin and lacking. Medium cheese - was good but a little greasy The best part was that the delivery was pretty quick, they said 45 to an hour but it was there in just over 30 minutes. read more

However, what prompted this post was the quality of Goodfellas chicken wings. We like to order pizza and wings and the majority of the time the wings are over cooked. Absolutely the worst pizza I've ever had. That one star is for the TV and fireplace. Great idea, guys, but you need to execute on the PIZZAS! Got the Goodfella pizza, which tasted like Styrofoam. No joke. And, they put medium pizzas in large boxes. I know, a small thing, but they're just ghetto like this. Also, the people in the front and on the phones are 10 yr olds. We really wanted to like this place more but it is really pricy and the last time I went there with my family, our pizza had large parts of the crust burnt. I really like the thin crust and the different specialty toppings. But burnt pizza really stinks. The good: mussels and frites -perfect; fried calamari - yummy; cold draft beer and large screen tv for watching the Giants!! Very friendly service. The Bad - burnt pizza crust; fettuccine alfredo - my son ordered this and it was inedible - very oily and no flavor. The ugly - the bill. Family of 4, 2 beers - $100 for pizza. Too much. The first time I time I tried this place was the night Mayweather was fighting Marquez. The place was packed, but I was more impressed that this business was not charging extra for a PPV fight! That scored major points with me, but lets get to the pizza. I've tried this place a few times enough for me to tell you the best pie on the menu is their signature; the Goodfella. It's a thin, east coast style crunchy crust with multiple cheeses & pesto. It's unlike any pesto pizza I've ever had. This pie has truly become one of my favorite pizzas, even rivaling Amici's Calabria. However, the next time I came here was for lunch and I was in a hurry. So I decided to try one of the pepperoni slices. Not as good. Tasted like it had been out for a while. I was expecting more, but it tasted very ordinary. Went to Goodfellas for the first time (8/27/17) and was really hoping that it could be another one of our local go-to take-out places in Pacifica. If I wrote this review immediately after leaving this place, I would have rated it 1 star (less if it were possible). However, I decided to calm down a bit and eat the food I purchased. Let me first start with the management and service. I arrived to a very short line at the register to order our take-out food. The staff was consumed with taking phone orders but the staff member (the manager, I later found out) got to us pretty quickly after finishing up a phone order. No big deal. I placed my order off the menu, paid for it, and waited at an outdoor table for about 20 minutes. I then noticed that my receipt appeared to have a different/higher price for my sandwich than on the menu. I showed the manager my receipt and the price on the menu and she informed me that I was looking at the menu of "The Grill". Apparently, they have two different menus for two different restaurants, on the same paper menu. While that was a bit odd, still no big deal. I'm seeing the food coming out for other customers and it looks good, so I just want my order. Another 10 minutes pass so I go to check on my order. Nothing yet. After another 5 minutes, I return to the counter to check on my order and the manager tells me that my order is almost done. After another 5 minutes wait, I'm getting impatient and ask another staff member if there is a problem with my order. He goes to a shelf in the back area, picks up a bag and brings it to me. I was appalled that no one gave me the bag when it was ready. That staff member saw that I was frustrated and annoyed and politely asked me to wait while he updated the manager. The manager came up to me and said that bag wasn't sitting there that long and that it was just recently put there. Why was it put in a waiting area instead of checking to see if some annoyed customer was waiting for it? I told the manager that I had been waiting for over 40 minutes and was upset that my order was sitting on a shelf, albeit for "just a few minutes". She proceeded to tell me that they are short-staffed and that orders could take as long as 30-40 minutes because of they only had 2 cooks. She should have been warning customers that orders were taking that long. I told her if she warned me that she was short-staffed and that orders were taking that long, I would have chosen to leave, as opposed to waiting 40 minutes. She went back to the register and said that my order was taken only 35 minutes ago, at 6:45. I promptly showed her my receipt that clearly documented my order time at 6:33. The point was that she/they were providing poor service and she, as the manager, was not owning up to it. She chose to focus her energy on making excuses, rather than focusing on something to make things better. I told her that her excuses are a management issue that needs to be addressed by a manager. I told her that I'm a customer, not a manager. She did not treat me as a customer. She could have/should have owned up to the poor service and done something to make it right. An apology, at the least, would have been a good start but no such thing occurred. She could have offered my daughter a glass of water or soda while she waited so patiently. I'm not a restaurant manager but, come on, that's Management 101 to do something, anything, for a customer to acknowledge an issue and to try to make things right. So, why did I rate this place with 2 stars? As I stated earlier, I really wanted to find another solid go-to take-out place in Pacifica. With the management issue aside, the food was actually tasty and of large portions. That's why I wanted to be fair and give the food credit where credit is due. It's really really sad that the manager wasn't better versed on how to properly handle the inevitable mis-steps that will occur in a restaurant. I would like to state at no time did anyone act or speak rudely with me. I was simply disappointed in the manager's inability to handle the situation, making it an even worse experience. Despite the fact that the food was good, I will not be re-visiting Goodfellas Pizza and Pasta. read more

I should of known cause I observed the place being filthy and the guy behind the counter was using his hands no gloves barely had a mask on. Never go there again. So, I looked up Goodfellas on yelp: main learning to me was don't let them do delivery, pick it up yourself. Order process: I like a simple and straight forward process. Love the website. Clear descriptions, good options, nobody telling me to wait while he takes another order. Nice. Pick up: parking available, friendly folks, no wait - Pizza was there when I arrived. Pricing: not cheap, but for 2 huge pizzas (Goodfella & Da Godfather) app 50$, that'll serve us and our friends and still leave left overs. Them Pizzas: I confess, I'm an addict! This is a decent pizza restaurant in the back of the valley with a good selection of pizza toppings. It's a fairly quiet place and they have a nice fire-oven stove. Prices are about what you pay at any other pizza place, maybe slightly more, but within reason. The crust is a little too thin and floppy for my taste. If you order "thick" crust, the edges are too thick and the rest is still very thin. Of course, if you enjoy super-thin pizzas this might be a plus. Also, in my opinion they do not use enough sauce on their pizzas. The bottom line is that this is a decent place with decent pizza, but I feel like there are better options for pizza in Pacifica. read more

This is the first time my boyfriend and I tried Goodfella's. Our server was an absolute delight. She was friendly and greeted us with a smile. She even offered to seat us by the fireplace since I was cold. They have several beers available on tap so my boyfriend ordered a ShockTop. I ordered a 16" French Connection pizza. From where I was seated, I could see the kitchen staff hand tossing the dough. It was a thin crust pie with plenty of mozzarella for the cheese lover in me. The crust had just the right amount of crisp. My boyfriend ordered a lasagna. It was delicious with perfectly layered cheese and a pleasant meat sauce. My only criticism would be that my side of marinara seemed like stewed tomatoes out of a can. read more
