I was late getting into the firearms game and so dont have the knowledge or verbiage that more experienced gun owners have. Because of that I had pretty bad experiences in some of my local shops with owners and employees coming off with the attitude that because my veins didn't pump gunpowder I wasnt worth their time. It makes it hard to want to go back anywhere when you are treated like you dont matter. That is no where near the case at Goodland Guns. Dan and his whole staff are helpful and courteous. I was in when a father brought his young son in to get his first .22 and the guy behind that counter talked to the dad for a bit before switching focus to the kid, helping him to figure out what HE wanted (ended up with at 10/22 of course) and talking to him like he was important. My experience in the store was comfortable and I didn't feel pressured to buy anything. It's a fairly small shop but the selection is large and even if something is physically not in stock in the store, they can order the gun for you for no charge as long as it is listed on their website. Great shop to work with from the website to the transaction. Lots of guns, ammunition , knowledge and great service. Does not get much better. Went into the store to get a FSC as I was interested in a long rifle. Test was pretty quick, Ethan was quite nice about showing me the guns on the walls, explaining to me how to properly use them and explained other laws about guns such as purchasing a gun to bring to California. I really can't say enough good about Goodland Guns & Shoot Supply. It is so nice to have a shooting supply store here in Santa Barbara/Goleta that offers what places north and south of us bring to the table. I was emailing about a specific 1911 and sure enough they got the one I wanted in, at a competitive price that I couldn't refuse. On my visit to pick my new purchase up I had to wait for the owner as he's the only one currently who can release the firearms & while walking around the shop and better taking in what products the shop stocks they have everything from entry level guns and equipment with competitive pricing to some fairly higher end stuff. As ammo & products become available I'm sure they will get them stocked. They seem like they could get whatever you wanted or requested at a very reasonable price. Lots of people in the shop which was a good sign! Overall I'd recommend them in a heart beat. I will definitely be giving them more business in the future and hopefully they will be around for a long time. If you've seen something you've liked down south or up north at a local shop or are looking for something that is more specialized I'd give them a chance without hesitation. read more

The guy there sold me shitty ammo that made my sig sauer failure to feed so many times, later found out the ammo they recommended to me was shitty underpowdered dirty Russian ammo. Very small inventory and mostly reloads - if that's what your looking for. One guy was wearing a marine shirt but I think he was a poser because he was not knowledgable about anything I asked him. I called and placed an order over the phone. I recieved notice from FedEx that a shipping lable was printed but the shipment never shipped. They charged my credit card and never shipped the product. I tried to call their number 805-845-1406 but it is not a working number! I sent an email to them from their website and no answer on that! I messeged from Yelp and you guessed it..No answer!!
