Goodland Guns is as good as it gets when it comes to gun shops. Dan and his crew are really greatly informed. They will do their best to answer any questions any customer might ask. I've only dealt directly with Dan and Paul who are really a joy to talk to and do business with. I can easily see that the other guys working there are excellent help. They all provide the best service a customer could ask. Dan bent over backwards to help me with a problem with a firearms distributor, who's name I won't mention here. His efforts really helped resolve this problem. Once resolved, it was easy for me to continue the process of obtaining the firearm I was purchasing. I had an rifle on consignment there that sold quickly. Rather than take all of the money due me, I bought another rifle. And, in the future I'd go to Goodland Guns over any of the local competition. That also includes any online businesses that allow one to transfer purchases from them to a local gun shop or FFL. If you want a good honest deal, Goodland Guns is the place to go. There is also a website for Goodland Guns. I think that's great. However, it is much more fun and to actually go into the shop. The place is really well stocked with products that will meet the local shooting community's needs. If they don't have what you are looking for, Dan will do his best to locate what is needed. And, at a honest and fair price. The store is often crowded with shooters and potential shooters. That says a lot in my opinion. People interested in getting into the shooting sports couldn't find a better place to look, learn, and purchase their first firearm. Finally, I'd like to make a comment on the person who gave Dan's shop only one star. People like that can't be offering an objective review. Like Dan, I am offended by that reviewer's comments on veterans. As an Air Force veteran who was station in Thailand during the Vietnam War (in and out of Laos, by the way) I'll refrain from comment other than what I wrote above. I was late getting into the firearms game and so dont have the knowledge or verbiage that more experienced gun owners have. Because of that I had pretty bad experiences in some of my local shops with owners and employees coming off with the attitude that because my veins didn't pump gunpowder I wasnt worth their time. It makes it hard to want to go back anywhere when you are treated like you dont matter. That is no where near the case at Goodland Guns. Dan and his whole staff are helpful and courteous. I was in when a father brought his young son in to get his first .22 and the guy behind that counter talked to the dad for a bit before switching focus to the kid, helping him to figure out what HE wanted (ended up with at 10/22 of course) and talking to him like he was important. Needless to say the kid was happy only like a kid can be when they left. Anyway, since I found Goodland Guns I have recommended them to everyone interested in firearms or hunting exclusively. If your bother to read the reviews it's nothing but lies, I have no idea why people get off on fucking over other people, but there it is. Humanity is a fucking cum-dumpster on fire. Dan is a great gunsmith and I've never hear any other the other locals complaints, he's literally the best place in SB County to purchase and modify your firearms. They have the best stock and can order anything you might want even if it's not in the store. They are passionate about all firearms whether they're for hunting or competition shooting or self defense. All the guys who work there are very knowledgeable and will do their best to answer any questions you might have without talking down to you or trying to force you to make a purchase. Also one of the best things about this store in particular is the staff is VERY good about keeping up with all the obscure gun laws in California and can explain to you in great detail what is and isn't legal and what the process is for you to own exactly what you want. read more

Best gun store period! Dan is the man... Customer service is on point. All the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. There is no "stupid" question here. They will spend all the time you need to make you you are getting what you want. They have a good selection, and they will go out of the way to find something if they don't have it in stock. They are not ur typical gun store with old guys running it but they are a younger group of knowledgeable firearms enthusiasts.
