Besides not wearing mask or socially distancing, they left behind an unfinished work after taking the money for it. The promise was to remove all the brush along the fence of the property, which included the removal of the roots, the old wooden fence, and hauling away all the trash and the green waste. Rodney was condescending and rude. After promising to finish the job in one day and failing to do so, he demanded the payment and practically bullied me into giving him the money. Subsequently, on the second day, Rodney started backtracking on his promises, falsely claiming that certain plants weren't included and he wasn't going to remove them. When the agreement was originally made, Rodney's exact words were "I will clean everything out and it will look brand new". The word "everything " was used repeatedly and there were no particular plants that weren't included in the removal. Rodney started demanding more money for the job he initially agreed to do. The bottom line is that if what we were offering to pay for the work wasn't enough, he could've simply said no and we would've gone our separate ways. Instead, Rodney accepted the payment, gave his word and in the end didn't keep it. The attached pictures show what Hala's Tree Care left behind after promising "clean and brand new" area.

He said he would swing later that day to give me a quote since I'm only a few blocks away from him and my palms are in the front yard. I Called back the next day and he said very politely he hadn't driven by yet. I understood, he may be busy. I Called the next day and still hadn't driven by. So we agreed on a date and time for him and his crew to arrive and trim my 5 queen palms. NEVER SHOWED UP! I text him 2 hours after the agreed time, giving him the benefit of the doubt he may be running a bit behind schedule. I text to ask if they were still coming. No reply. I called him.No answer and left a voicemail to see if they were still coming. No returned phone call or text. Was really disappointed with Rodney and Hala. I thought I had found a great tree service I can count on year after

For example - One of my customers had some really nice trees in the front yard and nobody could quite get it right and she had remembered Lopez landscaping from a previous home she had, we found their number and brought them in and they've been doing a great job for about the past five years. (15 montage way- it's been featured in gardening magazines, and real estate magazines ) On another property that I manage we went through several high-end landscapers and nobody could quite get the trees right or fix the grass and we brought Lopez landscaping onto that property a little over a year ago and we have had no issues. Right away they fixed all the brown spots and muddy areas of the grass by fixing the irrigation and replanting new grass. One of the main things we were having trouble with was a really nice tree in the front yard that the previous landscapers almost killed and now it's doing great and the yard looks beautiful. If you're looking for the best service and people you won't mind having around your property, hit them up.

He did an awful job and the entire thing had to be redone. Ricardo came not just to fix the problem but with a vision of what the yard needed to elevate it completely. Since I was desperate to get the job done in a certain amount of time ... I rescheduled with him. He was ONE HOUR LATE to our meeting!!! We met for an hour and a half at my house... and thankfully got along just fine... so that was good ... We went over my budget plan.... and he committed to starting the job that Wednesday. He promised me he would send me the contract that evening. He never did! He never responded to my text asking where it was, either. When I asked him again where it was, the next morning, he lied and said " I emailed it to you last night" I responded, but I never gave you my email address? He wrote back "lol, oh yeah" (what a total liar)! When I received the estimate breakdown, I asked him to please include all of the details we agreed upon, including how many workers each day, and how long it will take. He said he couldn't do it until after his meeting, but he was going to get it right back to me, and still start the project as planned on Wednesday. Later that day, I finally received a call back from him, to which he said, he could no longer not start my project for at least three weeks, because he received more money from the client he met with that morning!! He insulted me and said these clients didn't care about a contract, they just shook his hand and handed him a wad of cash! ... He said "sorry, but money talks, so your project is going to have to wait" (omg!!! what an unprofessional douche thing say and do)!!! So I told him how unprofessional he was the entire time... and then for pushing my project aside! He called me a "miserable, divorced woman" and then accused me of being "shady" because I wanted to add all of the details on the contract!?! (can you effing believe)????? Ugh!!!! BTW, I have all of the back-and-forth in our text messages as proof of what I'm saying!!!.. I'm sure the owner of the company will try to dishonestly try to explain his side ... while insulting me ... again!! I wouldn't be surprised! Also, a warning to the owner... Needless to say I was overwhelmed at the number of responses I received and the huge variances in quotes (for the same service). Making a decision was difficult because I wanted someone who was licensed and bonded as well. I received a quote and a follow up call a few days later from Jorge from JC's Tree Care and Landscape Service. He wasn't the least expensive but was very competitive and more reasonable than many of them. Jorge was very courteous and professional, asked all the right questions and made me feel comfortable with giving him the job. He constantly communicated with me and followed up the morning of our appointment. Later that morning when his last job was running a little late, he called me to let me know they were going to be few minutes late for my appointment that afternoon. He even called to let me know he was 10 minutes away. No sitting around wondering if he was going to show up, which I greatly appreciate. He and his crew arrived and took care of the job. Jorge's crew obviously takes his professionalism to heart and gave me the same level of professionalism that Jorge himself demonstrated with every communication I had with him. After completing the job, the cleanup was impeccable. They even went over to my neighbor's houses on both sides to ensure there wasn't any mess left, that wasn't cleaned up on their side. They had all of the the right equipment and did an amazing job. Jorge and JC 's Tree service gets a 5-star rating from me. Thanks for doing such a great job guys!
