But seal was NOT pushed into door jam. That has nothing to do with the 100% markup OR the 2.5 hours I was charged for labor on a 1 hour job. And windows are meant to go up and down. I am unsure what your idea of excessive is, but my window use is not excessive. Wonder what NAPA thinks? After reading the glowing reviews, I was worried about submitting this review. However, the one negative review on here could have been mine. In November 2022 I had my window regulator on LF door replaced. Cost me 357. 2.5 hours of labor and a 100% markup on the price. (did not realize that at the time). The same part broke last week. Called Lauger's and was told they would warranty the part but not the labor. The owner was very nice and said instead of charging me 2.5 hours of labor he would only charge me for 2 hours. (Come to find out that both part and labor are under warranty.) Also advised it would be 3 weeks to get fixed but would squeeze me in in two weeks but if I swing by on a Friday, he will get the window out of the door and tap up so it was closed. I did stop by, but the window was too far down to be able to easily pull up. I was willing to forgo the window being up and asked to see the invoice for the part so I could reach out to the company it was ordered from and complain that if it was not a bad part to begin with, I would not have to pay labor twice. The owner refused to give me a copy of the invoice. Instead, he said to return in 2 hours and if I waited, he would get the door fixed. I was feeling very thankful and returned in two hours. Surprisingly enough, my car was fixed, and I was driving away ONE hour later without having to pay a thing. ONE HOUR. And, there was no paperwork given to me because he said that the part broke because of my window being too tight and putting too much pressure on the unit, but he was not going to tell NAPA that so that they would pay warranty and labor. He also advised me that he called NAPA and argued with them to cover the labor for me. REALLY???!!! When they have a 2-year parts and labor warranty?? So went home and googled it. The time to fix the regulator in my door should only take one hour. (As proven when he fixed it in less than an hour). Went on NAPA and found the part was charged to me at a 200% markup. I get mechanics are going to mark up the price of a part, but 200%? I will not ever recommend this place to anyone. Overcharged for labor (2.5 hours instead of 1) and marked up on the part. This is the kind of place that gives mechanics a bad name. It is not reasonable in my book and now concerned about the part he put in my car.

I had to have my car that was running when I brought it in towed because they f'd up my engine - just for spark plugs & an air filter - both put in wrong! It made my engine overheat to the point it warped several things & now burns oil like crazy, which happened immediately after their "work" on it. Cost me about $3000 cuz they got oil and gas mixed together in my engine & - didn't put the plugs in all the way or tighten them. Tried to sell me a coil pack AS MY CAR that had been running was THEN being towed to the dealership because it wouldn't run at all! The manager told me his guys couldn't have possibly done anything wrong & supposedly watched a video of them doing the work...Why was my car running properly when it came in & then not running & having to be towed to the dealership, which told me the plugs weren't in all the way or hooked up right & that the air filter was in wrong? The Mavis manager then said my dealership was lying to me to get more money out of me! Mavis blamed me for the spark plugs not being what they would recommend & then they blamed my car, Chevy Cruze, which is a very popular car to work on!!! The manager put blame on everybody but the mechanic that did the work! Then, he wrote out a FAKE voucher for $850 towards the $3000 the dealership charged to get all the gas & oil separated in my engine & put a 4th set of spark plugs in! The voucher wasn't able to be honored or found in Mavis Palmyra PA system & after Palmyra manager supposedly had a chat with Middletown PA manager, I received literally Nothing back & they gave me a Free oil change before talking to the other Ahole manager. I refuse to go into either one of them or any other Mavis shops again, because I'm more afraid of being hauled off by the cops than I am of them. Oh, the tow truck driver told me he hauled MANY cars from MAVIS in Middletown because they f'd up the people's cars! So, I wanna know WHY these people have such a high review rating, unless they are also FAKING their reviews?!? These people need shut down!!!
