Appointment are easy to get especially for emergency. First time went with 2 of my 3 fur babies and both of them were very comfortable, no anxiety or anything like that. My 15 year old dog was not in good health, so I took her to GoodVets. Dr. Trefil has been amazing and has gotten my dog back to health. She's now on a handful of meds and a diagnosis that is treatable. Each test, everyone was always very transparent about pricing before moving forward. She seems happy when I go to pick her up. We have never had any issues the days she had to stay back all day for testing. Visited the new Vet Clinic in my neighborhood. I was very satisfied with the consultation. My dog is old and has recently fallen ill. Special attention was given to my dogs anxiety and the Vet calmed my fears, gave me the most reasonable pricing for his ailment and drew up an estimate for my review weeks before the procedure. On Saturday we received a call from GoodVets saying that our appointment scheduled on a different date (9/12). I knew there was a vet office around the corner from me, but had no need until I got my dog. I walked in and everyone was so friendly. My dog, who normally HATES the vet, wanted to go BACK to where she got the shots. She seemed to have the time of her life back there. The vet was fantastic with my cat, answered questions, and was upfront about care costs at their practice. Absolutely not pushy about doing any unnecessary procedures. Before making my final judgment, I would still have to see what this practice is like in crisis situations, rather than basic checkups. Bad experience with having surgery for my cat there. There was LOT going on but I asked a lot of questions, apparently not exactly the right ones, but I feel they should have given more information on possible outcomes rather than promising more than they could deliver. I would have had more diagnostic work done in advance and possibly not had the surgery - then of course they wouldn't have that money. She's ok but it was a bad experience. read more

We are new puppy parents, so we were super nervous about our first experience at a vet, especially given the circumstances with Covid. We were so happy to find GoodVets and be able to have one of us in the room with our puppy. The doctors and staff have always been so helpful and kind, including allowing the other one of us to facetime into the appointment and making time to see our puppy when he needed an appointment ASAP. Uptown GoodVets has a very clean environment and very lovely staff! Sometimes they are hard to reach by phone to make or change appointments/ask questions but how much they love my dog and care for his overall health makes up for it :) They respond quick by email & answer any questions I have. I switched vets (a lot later than sooner) and I always thought it would be a hard switch for my dog because he loved going to his vet. I on the other hand did not. I went to good vets because it is so close to my home but also because the good reviews. PEOPLE it was the best decision of my life. They let you go inside with the dog. The doctor explained things straight to the point, I didn't leave with any anxiety I left with RELIEF. Which is opposite of my old vet. ALSO, it was half the price of what i usually have to pay. Goodvets and Dr. Flanagan have changed my cat Callie's life! They have always been patient with this first time cat mom and are always gentle with my really scared cat daughter. Clean, inviting environment but incompetent staff. Too lengthy to even get into, but the tech/staff was more focused on trying to convince me what vaccines I need ($600 worth), and telling me my dog is overweight than the reasons I came in the first place (possible parasite in my dogs stool). The tech didn't even bother to document it in the clinical summary that he possibly has tape worm, and I had to bring it up again to the vet, and it was again brushed off? It seemed like she thought I was talking about heartworm since she kept bringing up the importance of heartworm preventative medication (??) The next day I called back to follow up because I thought maybe they completed some sort of test while the administered his vaccines, and didn't want to assume, and they denied the entire parasite conversation and said the tech is new, and basically gaslit me and told me to bring in a stool sample.. I will never return there, and I certainly wouldn't trust them to do anything other than administer a vaccination. I also don't like that they take the dogs out of the room for exams. read more

I cannot recommend this vet more! Our cat was having issues that could have required an emergency visit, so we called GoodVets since they're right around the corner. Not only did they squeeze us in right before closing even though we had never been there, they took great care of our girl and put us at ease.
