We've been going to Sandy's since pre-rebrand. Our boy Mason, has never enjoyed baths or being groomed, and he gets very nervous just being in a tub. Everyone at Sandy's has made him feel so comfortable and have been very dedicated to his grooming appointments for the last few years. What we particularly like about this location is that they don't use crates when they're drying the dogs. Your dog has open play and Mason loves socializing with the other dogs while he's there. I do not recommend going to Sandy's. Honestly, from the start I really did not like how they would cut our dog Ralph's hair. We asked them to change it every time, but they barely did, or something else would come out wrong. We kept going because it's below our apartment. Monday was the last straw. We picked him up and he did not look good at all, and we later found some pretty big cuts on him. I brought my golden retriever Bonnie to get groomed last week. While I thought the grooming was fine I had a problem with the staff. The girl at the counter didn't offer a new customer welcome as this was my first time and when I checked out she didn't even say thank you. There are plenty of other places for dog grooming so I will not go back to this one. His coat was super matted (Cavapoo hair is no joke), but Adriana, his groomer, worked wonders. She made sure to call before making any changes, which I really appreciated, but I trusted her to do whatever was needed to get him looking great again--and she absolutely nailed it! Winston looks so good now! Adriana is truly a top-tier groomer. The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff was beyond welcoming--especially the super sweet girl with stunning eyes. They gave me time frame 3-4 hours for the cut. They didn't finish till 4:41 pm. I took him at 11 am in the morning. So it took over 5 hours. And my dog looks like completely ugly. Update - I'm pretty positive I've reviewed before, but just have to say after 2 years we've been nothing but happy with Sydnee's so they deserve the extra shout out. Every haircut has been top notch and they must take good notes because I never have to go through what we do each time with them. I feel confident when I drop my dog off that he's going to look great and be happy (he loves it there- and our friend's dog even halts in front of their door during walks because she loves going there too!). They are also so good about thoughtfully pointing out anything they observe (e.g., skin allergy, needing a teeth cleaning- which were both very legitimate things our dog had going on but it was nice that they said something when they noticed as well). We're moving and the thought of finding a new place as good as Sydnee's is hard to imagine. (NOTE: West Loop and South Loop locations are both amazing - have gone to South Loop when West Loop was booked, just as great). read more

Horrible service Do not go there I been going to this place for a years when it still was Cindy's pet grooming. I paid $140.00 to get my dog's hair cut and when I picked my dog her hair cut was not complete and not a good hair cut . I called and spoke to the owner and she told me to bring my dog in for them to re-cut my dog's hair properly . I go back the next day to bring my dog in and I was confronted by the groomer who caught and attitude with me because I told the owner I did not like my dogs cut then the owner and the groomer teamed up on me and we had a heated dispute all because I said I did not like my hair cut . The groomer and the owners did not handle the situation properly and told me I was no longer welcome there as a customer all because I said I did not like dogs hair cut . Then the owner tried to blame dog for being the problem. But this was not the 1st time they did not cut my dogs hair properly Another occasion happened where the did not cut the hair from my dogs face and the groomer said she would take care of it and I would have to bring her back . This has happened at least 4 times with them not cutting my dogs hair properly They can't take criticism. They can't accept that their groomers sometimes do not do their jobs at a 100 percent So basically if you tell them you are not happy with your dogs hair cut , be prepared to be confronted by the groomer and the owner and to he told they do not want your business I have the proof by text messages that was sent to me by the owner and pics of my dogs horrible haircut read more

Probably the best dog grooming experience I've ever had! I've lived in Orlando, DC, Nashville and Chicago and this pet salon has exceeded all other salons my puppy Max and I have visited in the past. The staff was super friendly and loving to Max, and gave him an amazing bath and haircut. Aside from the great visit and staff, the location is very convenient in the west loop. It's a beautiful area to walk around and is a two minute walk to a dog park and pet store. I highly recommend visiting them if you live in the West Loop! read more

Sydnee's does a great job with our Golden doodle. I love that they don't crate the dogs- they are free to roam and I interact with each other when not being groomed. They also have a big window you can look I. So your dog is not hidden. Shannel took care of Otto Saturday and she did a fantastic job giving him his spring/summer cut. We hate leaving Otto but she made it easier. The only drawbacks- it's hard to book appointments and they take a long time. read more

Brought my then-13 week old Miniature Schnauzer puppy (Teddy) in to their South Loop location for his first ever grooming. I was referred by a neighbor, and I'm glad! The folks at Sydnee's not only did a great job, but they took awesome care of Teddy while he was there. They even put him into what I can only describe as a baby sling, and carried him around on their bodies when he wasn't on the grooming table. That's dedication, my friends. Also, I'm not totally up on the grooming lingo that I should be. The best I could do was ask for a "Schnauzer-ish puppy cut," and they delivered! Service was very affordable (I think there was a new client discount involved) and great quality. Next time I think I'll ask for a "puppy-ish Schnauzer cut" and let them take it from there. The only improvement I can think of is estimated timeline on pick-up. Maybe it was because it was puppy's first grooming, but I wasn't given any kind of time estimate and it definitely wrinkled up my day. It would be great to know a pick-up window (even if it was a range of a whole hour), so I could go about my day without worrying about needing to rush back at a moment's notice. Oh, and parking is a little iffy at this location, but there is a 15 minute loading zone directly outside their door. Get there a few minutes early in case you have to circle the block. I appreciated the new customer discount (20% off first service) and the groomer, Marcie, was very friendly. She was also understanding as I did not bring my cats rabies certificate because I was not aware I had to. I told her the website did not tell me to bring one when I booked the appointment nor did the confirmation email and text message. She tried working with me with this but it held up my appointment about 30 minutes since I had to drive back home to get it before services could start. I absolutely love this place. I have taken my mini golden doodle here twice and will continue coming again. First time I made an appointment a few days out - since that time I planned for it. Diana was the groomer and she's very charismatic, sweet, and attentive to details with regards to my needs and my baby's furry needs. My anxious dog fell in love with her. I work so she's very flexible with keeping him for a while, until I was able to break away from work to go pick him up. I must say that he enjoyed it so much that he got home and passed out. Everything about the visit was very transparent and no hidden fees or charges. As a new customer, the 20% off the first service was a nice incentive. Yesterday, after taking my baby to the dog park, he decided to get completely soaked and dirty. I messaged them through Yelp - and the owner Julie - responded quickly about trying to squeeze us in. In an desperate measure, I walked him, and begged for Diana to help me, as I didn't have time to bath him. Despite Diana having a full day schedule, she took him in and did an amazing job. That in my mind defines outstanding customer service -- never turning a customer away! Clearly my day was made by their ability to help me in such a short notice. I even got a loaned leash to walk him home, as I left mine in my apartment after I dropped him off. I found out about their incentive program of return customers, and definitely plan on returning. Always a perfect experience at Sydnee's. Everyone who works there is so friendly, they have a glass window that shows full transparency to their work space (try finding that at any other groomer!), which always makes me feel comfortable that they are trustworthy with the safety and care of your pet. A lot of other groomers will take your dog for the appointment and call you 5-6 hours later, which suggests that they aren't organized with their schedule, leaving your dog to be waiting there nervously to get started. Every time we go we hear back to pick him up 2-3 hours later (and that's a 100 lb nervous golden retriever who gets fully groomed with paw treatment and teeth brushing). We also take our parent's older dog there, and their sensitive treatment (not sure exactly what it is) helps his itchy skin a ton. All around just a really professional groomer that always leaves us with a great experience and Hank looking so handsome. Another great "spa day" for our Dudley! This is the only place where he trots in happily and doesn't cry when we leave. I think that speaks to how caring and loving the staff is to Dudley. I was referred to Syndee's by all of the other "Doodle Parents" at my park in West Loop, all of which I trusted because their doodle's look like teddy bears. After my first trip there, I refuse to go anywhere else! They take their time, and take such good care of all of the dogs that come in. My mini goldendoodle has lots of hair, which in turn results in the occasional mat in her hair. They comb each of them out and make sure the dogs are comfortable. I LOVE this place! Julie tries to cover up for her poor performance groomers. She thinks offering a conditioner justifies fecal matter on my pups butt after a grooming, large amount of hair under the ears ( that my vet pointed out ) , dirty ears and nipped nails without informing me. The groomer was very rude and I just went along with the services. I immediately asked for the manager but she wasn't in. Instead of ruining my day I left a review and awaited a response. She called back and I listened, just full of excuses of how the groomers husband wasn't feeling well and she didn't get sleep. 2 days later I'm at the er with two back paws cut low to the nerve. I haven't been able to reach her due to personal health and called today for her to give me another round of excuses and no accountability. When you go along with things and play cool they want to run a script but when I expressed my high frustration of her service now it's a problem. She said it couldn't have been them and it happens. This company will not get another dollar nor will I continue to promote her as I have. Take responsibility. We took our 7 month old Mini Schnoodle, Pepper, in for his first haircut. I had been trimming him myself up until now, but not very well. Since the snow season started, his fur was definitely getting matted and he was in desperate need of a full fledged haircut. They went above and beyond to make him look gorgeous.
