Friendly staff, they try to keep appts on time as much as possible and we know emergencies happen too. It's clean and modern and in Logan Square. There is no parking lot like the one in Roscoe Village... the locations all work w each other so it's nice that way like a centralized health care system... would be nice if our human health system and the individual hospitals functioned so smoothly together:-). Parking is on the street w ParkChicago app and $2.50/hour plus the $0.35 fee if you park less than 2 hours at a time. And my rescue cat Dani the polydactyl from San Francisco CA got cat treats! Dogs also get treats if they want. What a nice way to help pets feel comfortable. An evaluation is $99 and if you have multiple pets, each one could qualify for a $49 discount for a new pet evaluation. read more

Well... almost immediately after I wrote this glowing review I had a pretty messed up experience at this vet. I'm gutted. Vaccine appointment... we were running a tad bit late. I walked in the door at 10:09 for our 10am appointment. Yes, I was late but it's a rare occurrence and it happens sometimes. The front desk person watched the clock turn 10:10 then announced to me that they would have to reschedule me for being 10 minutes late. I laughed at first, and was like what are you taking about it just turned 10:10 as I'm standing in here. This snaggle toothed witch had this look of triumph on her face that she got to tell me no. She literally looked delighted. I've never seen such an unprofessional, uncaring person work at a vet office. It's so unbelievably disappointing as I had every intention of Sploot being our go to vet for both our dogs. I guess we will have to figure something else out. read more

I was looking to switch vets and figured that Sploot may be a good option. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The vet took blood to perform a routine blood test on my cat and later informed me they had accidentally left the vial of her blood in the alley overnight and it could not be processed. So I take the time and bring her back to get her blood drawn. This is not the easiest feat as my cat--like most animals--hates the vet and it is very traumatizing for her. However, Sploot AGAIN left her sample out and it never got to the testing center. I have never had this experience with any vet. It is absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous; it should not be this difficult to perform routine tests and it makes me wonder about the safety and reliability of this vet office. I received no apology and barely an admission of guilt. They essentially took no responsibility, as if it was someone else's fault the blood never made it to the testing center? Offering to take my poor cat's blood for a third time (!) for free is not an apology. I really can't stress enough that this place should be avoided. read more

Figured I'd check this place out when I saw the founders in an Alma mater magazine. Seemed like sploot got caring for pets in 2025. I transferred medical records from my old vet and was prepared to take my dog here for a neuter in Jan and my cat for basic care and a dental. What a rev op for a clinic. I put a $100 deposit down for what the receptionist told me would be taken away only if I cancelled less than 24 hours out. When I got to the Logan square clinic 10 minutes early for my appt there was no parking. Not on the street or in the target garage the sign said to go to. Driving around looking I get a call at 5 minutes past my appointment and they tell me ONLY THEN they have a ten minute grace period and if I didn't find parking when there was essentially none provided and get my dog inside in five minutes they'd cancel my appt and take my $100 deposit. No heads up for lack of parking or about the 10 minute grace period. What kind of business is this from people who are supposed look at revenue for a living? The math isn't mathing. Glad they made $100 though. Not great imo and figured I'd point it out here for their consideration. read more

You will never see the same "doctor" twice, or the same person at the front desk. Your local Starbucks has less churn. Plus - Unqualified staff. Misdiagnoses, haphazard care, poor communication. Exorbitant prices. Lots of fake smiles and assurances- but it's superficial and just to get you in the door. In the end, EVERYTHING we took our pups to them for (at astonishing expense), we had to go re-do at a REAL vet. Avoid this capitalist grist mill at all costs and find an ACTUAL veterinary clinic with experienced, caring doctors, community investment and longevity, and vets who care about your pet's well being, not just feeding the wallets of private equity assh*les. I have never been happier with a vet! My dog, Biscuit, is an anxious little thing. She's 37 lbs of unmedicated anxiety, and today that changed. I cannot believe how for all of these years as a dog dad, I've just accepted sub-par vet care because that felt like all there was. The vet tech who helped take care of Biscuit was an angel. She was so nice! Biscuit felt so comfortable with her. I didn't feel like I was being talked down to, or judged. The doctor himself was very kind, and I felt so at ease! I have dealt with some terrible animal loss this year, and my own anxieties were eased when my vet was very clear and concise with how Biscuit is doing. At Sploot, Biscuit felt comfortable and happy enough to lay down and rest between the nurse and the doctor coming in. She was treated with dignity and kindness and I couldn't ask for a better feeling than seeing my dog happy, healthy, and getting the help she needs. Thank you, Sploot! After two visits, I suspect that this is a private equity backed venture that prioritizes profits over patients. Although they provided minimally acceptable care, it came at significantly inflated prices, higher than all other veterinary services I have received to date, their pricing was not transparent at the time the services were provided, and the customer service was poor. If you have no other choice, perhaps this is an acceptable option, just be prepared to be overcharged and disappointed. read more

I have lived in Logan Square for the last few years but have always taken my dogs to a clinic out in the suburbs because the patient care is fantastic and I love how amazing and communicative the veterinary staff is, consistently. They also never overcharge, do not treat your pets like their personal science project, and would never perform a procedure without your knowledge and consent. With that said, I made a terrible decision taking my dogs to this clinic in the hopes of finding a location that was closer to home. I brought my dogs in for wellness exams and one of my dogs needed some blood work and a urinalysis done. We completed the exams, went home, and I waited for results. My senior dog had some worrisome findings and I decided to make an appointment with her vet in the suburbs because I trust him. I asked Sploot to provide me with their records from the visit and an itemized receipt because they had not given me one yet. On the itemized receipt I saw something called "Cystocentesis via ultrasound" and that I had been charged over $50 for it. When I looked up what that was, because no one told me or consulted with me before this procedure, I came to find out that they had inserted a needle into my dogs bladder and extracted urine by being guided by ultrasound. In all my years of dog ownership (15) I have never had this performed on any of my dogs. It has always been a free flow catch tray, heck I have been given the trays to do it at home when they couldn't get it in the clinic. After having learned about what this was I found out that it is a common practice in veterinary medicine BUT it is invasive, comes with precautions, and the owner is supposed to know so they can keep an eye on the site in case of infection or issues. You are still sticking a needle in her bladder. Honestly though, I could care less if this is a common practice among veterinary clinics, because I am not a veterinarian. I am not in veterinary sciences. I am a pet owner, and this is my pet. She is under my care and consideration, she is a part of my family. What I care about is the fact that I was never consulted, informed, or asked for approval to perform an invasive procedure. It is astonishing to me that this even happened and even more astonishing that the only communication I received about this was an "oops" we should've told you, here is your money back, and then apologizing for the absolute negligence of the staff not disclosing and requesting consent and doing so all via text. Needless to say, I will never be going back to this clinic again. I have and will continue to spend thousands of dollars on my dogs to ensure they are healthy, happy, and taken care of but I absolutely refuse to give another dime to a clinic that puts revenue over pet care. To anyone considering this clinic, make sure you know what they intend to do when they take them out of the room and into the back because they definitely did not tell me. read more

I took my boys in for their annual wellness exam and a couple shots. The orange one had some tricky veins but the staff was so patient and sweet with him. Overall the experience was quick and easy- really loved booking on an app which is a new experience for me! I went here as they had quick availability as an urgent care and were nearby. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with a vet. Its very obvious that its a place that prioritizes style over actually providing care. The only good thing was the pricing transparency. A couple weeks after coming here, I went to an actual animal hospital where my cat was diagnosed with rapidly progressing feline infectious peritonitis and immediately had fluid removed from her lungs, which the Sploot vet somehow just completely missed. They told me she had a heart murmur and stopped there. They did routine blood work and I got a text late on a Saturday evening that said I would need to let them know within hours if I wanted them to run an additional test (without providing much context around what the test was). I asked questions and they just never responded. The visit itself was also pretty bad. My cat was stressed about travel and peed in her carrier. The person at the desk immediately sent me to an exam room which are named after celebrities for some reason but do not have sinks. There's just a single stall bathroom so I spent the full appointment with cat pee on my hands. When I went to the front desk, visibly upset due to learning about a heart murmur, the person asked if "it went well". This place feels like it was designed by AI and the vets did not accurately diagnose or treat my cat. I would not recommend anyone come here. read more

this was my first time visiting the Logan square clinic. I found them on line as it was a Sunday and my vet was closed ! My German Shepard was having some urinary issues and I didn't want to wait to get her in during the week! They took her right away! The whole staff were so friendly - my dog can be a bit of a challenge - she's not a dog lover so she goes crazy at the site of other dogs and she can be a bit super protective or her mommy - they handled her with ease and made her feel calm! They were able to diagnose her right away and had the antibiotics there - that was a huge bonus so I didn't have to wait and get them filled at a pharmacy! Dr. Brice was funny and so great with - he put us both at ease ! The place was clean , didn't smell like a yucky dirty vet! would recommend- just be prepared parking is a bit of a challenge since it's in the city ! read more

They tell you to arrive 15 min early, what they don't tell you is there is only a 5 min grace period. I was 7 min late because I had to look for parking. I had checked in online 20 min before I arrived so they knew I was not going to be a no show. There was no one in the waiting room, yet they still could not accommodate. Terrible service, incredibly rude. Dirty facilities. Over priced. Go somewhere else. And make sure to check what their grace period is. read more

My cat was diagnosed with feline asthma. My fiancé and I were terrified. Sploot spent hours with us on the phone asking questions and answering ours. This place is a racket. If you need to take your pet somewhere for routine care, this is not the place. I've been multiple times as it's super convenient to get to from my house and every time I am blindsided by random charges that the front desk isn't able to fully explain or defend. Apparently, because they are technically an "urgent care" they can charge more for their services and additional fees. Which I understand if you have to take your pet in after hours or on the weekends but not during the week at lunch time. They have also made it very hard to get the paperwork needed to submit claims to my pet insurance. read more

We called them to let them know we were almost there but running behind. They said they would have to reschedule because it would be half the time of his appointment. Two things I asked: Question 1. How is 10 minutes late half of an appointment? Answer: She stated appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes (Yet we were only 10 minutes late). My Response: Yet they made us wait in the lobby for 30 minutes when we were there on time for our last appointment and then moved us to a room and made us wait another 15 minutes before anyone came to see us. Question 2. We are planning to get a microchip and flea medication on top of his exam. Are you saying you would have us out the door in 30 minutes Including wait time, micro chipping, flea prevention and a routine exam? Answer: we would try. Unfortunately we (Sploot) will have to reschedule this appointment. My response: unfortunately we will be going to a different vet. CONCLUSION You choose, but I find it hard to believe we would have arrived and been out the door in 30 minutes and without having to wait atleast 10-15 in the lobby given it took 45 minutes before we even saw anyone. If you are anything like me there will be times when you are running a few minutes behind or you have been stood up and told to wait when you were on-time with no incentive for your time. My understanding is that they do not care about what benefits your animal or you; only themselves. I'd rather take my animal child to an honest and reputable business that does not operate with one sided benefits. Imagine if something was to go seriously wrong during or after a visit. I'd bet the rest of their policy and possibly their future actions would also align with these ethics. read more

My nervous dog had her first visit at Sploot today, and they took care of her from the moment I brought her in. Our last vet wasn't able to handle my dog's anxiety and suggested a tranquilizer for her without completing the exam. I was hoping for a better experience with Sploot, and they came through! My dog completed her exam and even calmed down by the end. Nice clean spot, and they even offered bottled water and snacks while waiting to be seen. I am so happy and thankful I found this place right in Chicago and did not have to drive far. Their hours are longer and they are open daily so they can accommodate your schedule. I was also able to schedule a non-emergency appointment for the following day which usually never happens for such wonderful and not overpriced veterinary care! They are very organized, caring and professional! The place is very nice and clean too! The staff is amazing as well - patient, cordial and caring. It was a pleasure speaking to the ladies working there over the phone and in person. The process was very smooth from scheduling the appointment to post appointment. The tech nurse was very knowledgeable, caring, helpful and understanding! One could not ask for anyone better to handle your furry friend with the utmost care and to guide you through the process! I was also very impressed with Dr. Isabelle Dohanic's compassion and in how she was able to quickly test and diagnose the patient even in a specialized area of veterinary care! She also addressed all of my concerns and provided me with the information, care and attention needed. I felt very heard and understood throughout the entire process, never like a number, and like my family member was getting the best care he could get! They really took the time to listen and to address and record everything. My dog was stung by a bee and showing signs of a severe allergic reaction. I was recommended here by my regular vet as this was an urgent care location and supposedly took walk in patients. I start to tell the front desk I thought my dog is having an allergic reaction. The person at the front said she went to talk with a doctor, but reccomended I go to an ER vet. They would not even look at my dog. I don't have a car and had to wait for an Uber to get to the next vet. Thank GOD I got my dog to another vet in time, as he was immediately diagnosed with anaphylactic shock. I am incredibly disgusted and appalled by the fact that I was turned away by Sploot as this was a crucial, time sensitive, and emergency situation. Despite an ER being the best option which I do agree with, in a situation like this where time is so crucial, any person with the best interest of animals in mind, would have at the very least had a doctor look at my dog. They would've noticed right away he needed an antihistamine ASAP. This was literally life or death. Appointments don't matter, the lives of animals do. I took my dog for a rash he had. I was told this place has only been open for a few weeks. Firstly, everyone is really really nice; from the people at the front desk to the Veterinarian. I do have some recommendations for improvement. I was taken into the exam room. I had an appt for 2pm and I didn't get seen until 2:45. They did come in twice to let me know they were sorry but running late, however they need to improve on this. Their exam rooms are for both cats and dogs, this is a problem. I am severely allergic of cats. I'm sure they clean the rooms well, but I did start to sneeze and at the end my eyes did start watering. They should have separate rooms for dog patients and cat patients. This was the first time I ever had my dog examined from the floor. In the room there was no table/scale for the dog, maybe they're still waiting for some furniture to come in. The last thing was the registration form I filled out via text. I was being asked the same questions I had answered. I also answered yes to nail trim. Obviously the form was not looked at, no one asked about the nail trim. Overall, I'm sure they'll improve with time. Again, everyone was really nice. In the room they have bottled water and snacks for the owner, nice touch. At checkout they even gave my dog some gifts in a bag. They were reasonably priced. I will go back for any emergencies since they have all my records. read more
