When it's not full, all you have to do is drive up and through like a drive through, take your stuff out of your car, and sort them into the different bins. Then drive out. I typically use this donation center for my no longer needed items. This week I was trying to offload a pair of crutches and a knee scooter. I double checked the website and saw that Goodwill accepts donations of "mobility equipment" so made the drive to Wisconsin Street. I was told that they would not accept my donation due to possible liability. I informed them about the website but they still declined to accept my items. Please be ready to have your donation refused at the site regardless of what the website says. read more

I love this location because it's less than 5 minutes from my home. Very easy, quick and straight forward. Pull into the lot, and sort out your goods into the labeled boxes. I usually go to the Goodwill in South San Francisco because I didn't know this location existed but I'm so glad I came by today. I was greeted by the most friendly woman (I didn't get her name) and everyone there were EXTREMELY kind and helpful as well. I had 13 big bags of clothes to donate and the staff helped me carry all the bags. This is now my go-to place to donate. read more

Arrived at 9am on a Tuesday in a car, was in and out through the drive-through donation in 15 minutes. There was a line of 10 cars wrapping around to 17th Street but it moved quickly. Pre-sort your stuff into bags of clothes, wares, and shoes. Then pull up to the large cardboard bins and put your stuff in yourself. There are workers sorting bins and directing traffic, but the work is hot and hard and they are busy, so the more prepared you are to take care of yourself, the better for everyone. Everyone is wearing a mask and is 6+ feet away outdoors. You could also just park around the corner and walk your donation into the lot to avoid the car line. I didn't get a donation slip because I didn't want to wait or make other people wait for me. read more

The Goodwill Donation Center is really good. We were renovating our house and decided to donate boxes of old clothes, electronics, small appliances. It took no time whatsoever. Thank you Goodwill for this location! During Covid all the regular goodwill stores were closed and when they reopened they weren't accepting donations. Still aren't as of this review. This time has been incredibly challenging for businesses. That's no secret. But goodwill had a unique challenge with taking in used goods from people. Like most folks, during Covid we were cleaning out our house. Trying to make some room because we were living and working from home. I'm grateful goodwill made this drive through location available. At first there were shorter hours when they were opened and lines of cars waiting to drop off their goods. But now it is easy to drive through and drop off your stuff for those in need without wait. They have several large cardboard boxes to collect the different categories of donations. For us it's been so nice to minimize a little during these times. The people working there deserve a real shout out for being very friendly and helpful to make sure the donations end up in the right sorting areas and they do it in good spirits. Afterwards treat yourself to lunch or a drink around the corner at the Connecticut Yankee, they have a great outdoor area to chill out and reward yourself after doing a good deed. read more

They are extremely efficient and can empty out your car quickly and professionally and give you a receipt in less than five minutes. Terrible place. We arrived here at 1.15pm on a Saturday, 45 minutes prior to their closing time. We had a car full of bag of clothes to donate. We were turned away because they were "closed". Unless you have fortune telling abilities, I recommend reconsidering donations here. Also, the guy they placed at the gate was a homeless looking unintelligent piece of creature, incapable of forming full sentences with extreme rudeness. What a joke the thing is! read more

I had cleaned out my garage post a remodel and had a lot of stuff to donate. My car was full and I had an SUV. When we drove up, the staff was ready and waiting to help a separate everything into the correct bins. We were in and out in five minutes. It was so fast and so easy. Very organized drive through drop-off center. This is a car-accessible drop-off, and you can drive through it (no u-turns needed) - enter from one street and exit out another. They have bins labeled with item types (Housewares, clothes, electrics, etc). A Goodwill employee greets you as you you pull up. I never knew about this donation center but was looking for a good place to donate initially clothes, and was struggling to find decently reviewed places. I saw the reviews on here and was like, wow they take a lot of different things and I had a ton of new or very good condition stuff to donate. The setup was great as others have said. I just drove in and parked by the boxes outside. The two people outside helping were super friendly and courteous. I did not bother to ask for any receipts so can't comment on that. All I want to really stress how easy it was to do donate versus what I was reading online about other places. read more

As simple as it gets for dropping off donations. Drive into the parking lot, pull up next to the bins, drop your donations into the correct bins, drive out. The only way it could be easier is if you rolled down your window and handed the stuff to someone. :o) There are always people there to help, and they often take your items from you and put them in the bins for you. Check their hours of operation before you go to make sure they're open. Also, I went once on a weekend and they were all filled up and not accepting anything.
