They have a few very good quality, high-end items, but the selection is extremely limited. I'd guesstimate that there were 40 items, but that feels like a very generous guesstimate. I found out about this place through an associate. Instead of giving away my designer items I no longer want I decided to sell them. The process is fairly simple. You follow their instructions on submitting for a quote. You either accept or decline. Then either drop off in person, have a shipping pickup or package and ship yourself. I chose in person to eliminate a mishaps regarding transit. Upon arrival, I walked in, there was no one visible in sight. I walked towards the back where I found one associate. Keep in mind, the store is EMPTY. The gentleman tells me I need an appointment. I recall reading otherwise on the email I received. If I find it I will add the photo proof. I let him know that if we couldn't complete the drop-off that day, I could just keep my things as I would not be making another trip. He decided to acclimate accommodate me. All items I sold were verified. I take good care of my articles. So, everything I sold had the receipt, pouches, cases, etc. despite being five years old. My items were in pristine condition. Now, the insulting offer for a pair of ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION Louis Vuitton heels... whew, chile!!!! They made me a $75 offer. DECLINED, DENIED, REJECTED!! The shoes were in the original box, NEVER worn and had the replacement rubber heel. The retail value of $545. Again, LIMITED EDITION!! The Louis Vuitton booklet was included as well. They were given to me as a birthday gift so I did not have the receipt. If you don't believe the validity of the shoes just pass. Louis Vuitton is in close proximity. They can verify the authenticity. Hhmm.... Don't give a bogus offer. That made me side eye Fashionphile. I'm not pressed and wanted to see how much I could get out of curiosity. Thank you for inspiring me to KEEP them. I'll be taking the shoes to a cobbler and ROCKING THEM!! In the future I may consider selling with them again. I doubt I buy. Accepted a buyout offer for a 25 plus year old Vintage Dior bag. Shipped it to them and their "authenticators" deemed it as a fake. I took it in to a store locally and they authenticated it but offered me less money than Fashionphile did, so I opted to send it in. I'm beyond offended Never in my life have I owned a fake designer handbag, nor would I try to sell one back to a business that I have purchased from. They realize the bag is over 25 years old right? I'm guessing it's older than the person that "authenticated" it. They really have to train their people better on vintage designer bags. Now I have to pay them $75 to get my bag back. I am flabbergasted I will never purchase from them, recommend them, nor tell me friends about them again. The Real Real and Yoogi's Closet have never treated me this way. Beware of Fashionphile's Insured Shipping Policy -- Do Not Trust It If you're considering selling to Fashionphile, purchase your own shipping insurance -- their insured shipping policy is nothing more than a false sense of security. I recently shipped a David Yurman bracelet and Bulgari ring using their prepaid FedEx label. The package has been stuck at a FedEx warehouse since February 19th with no movement. Despite reaching out to Fashionphile daily via email and phone, I've received only one generic response stating, "Good news, your package is in transit" -- which is simply not true. I have full access to the FedEx tracking and the package has not moved. Instead of taking accountability or assisting with the claim, Fashionphile has been delaying, avoiding communication, and deflecting responsibility at every turn. Their lack of transparency and customer service is extremely disappointing, especially when dealing with high-value items. What's the point of offering insured shipping if they refuse to advocate for their sellers or honor the coverage? Save yourself the heartbreak -- insure your own packages independently if you choose to sell with them, or better yet, take your business elsewhere. read more

I had a very enjoyable experience at Fashionphile in Union Square today. I already had a Louis Vuitton Bag that had been pre-quoted through the online platform. I made an appointment for the bag to be evaluated in person and to have the offer confirmed. I was greeted warmly and I really enjoyed the conversation with the studio's manager. I also enjoyed looking at bags displayed around the studio. This is the process I followed: I submitted my item online with pictures and a description. After approx. a week I received an offer. I decided to drop it off at an appt in their SF location. They took a look at the item in person, confirmed the value, and I am expecting to receive a check in the mail in a few days. I was happy with the process and will consider bringing in a few more in the near future. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Fashionphile for over three years, having spent more than $10,000 with them. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me incredibly frustrated and disappointed. I made a return for a recent order and returned everything that was sent to me. However, Fashionphile is refusing to refund me, claiming I did not return a dustbag. The issue is, there was no dustbag included in the items I received. I have been buying from them for a long time so I know their return policy very well and I make sure to send everything back! Despite my explanation, they have only provided a picture from their warehouse as "evidence" that the dustbag was included, which is completely irrelevant because I never received it in the first place. ALso, in the picture, the dustbag was on a table, not in the bag. I have tried to resolve this issue with them for 3 weeks, but they are insisting I'm at fault, even though I've followed their return process to the letter. They never called me, even though they said they would! I had plans to purchase a different purse, but after this experience, I will never be returning to Fashionphile. I am not wealthy, I work hard for my money, and to be treated this way after spending so much is unacceptable. Fashionphile has lost a loyal customer, and I will not be recommending them to anyone going forward. I even offered to send a dustbag that was the same one and they refused. Super happy about my new-to-me bag in really great condition. My expectation was kind of low as this is my first purchase from this site (i brought it online) and sometimes it's hard to tell whether something has a flaw that you deemed acceptable since this is a preloved luxe goods site (had bad experience shopping at one of their competitors as items were not authentic) but I'm so delighted it went so well here. Lots of choices to choose from, prices and conditions are varied so attention to details you must have. Yes, Yoda! Lol. It came securely packaged with no-tampering tape! Inside, I found my bag snuggly packed inside their signature logo bag and surrounded by paper for cushioning and a few cute tissue paper confetti, a packing slip with their QA initials to ensure everything is correctly packaged. So detailed & cute! Bag is in great condition, and the original bag's dust bag inside. Love that! The best way to buy from Fashionphile is to contact the team at the Fashionphile SF location. They will provide additional pictures and talk to you about the items in greater detail. You purchase the items over the phone with them and then the items are sent to the SF location and you can pick them up. At pick up, you can inspect the items with the sales advisors. Then if you decide to not take the items home, the refund is immediate. This is especially important for high priced items. It's a different "online" buying experience for sure but I feel that it's more reassuring. Working with the SF team is amazing. They are very helpful especially Adrian. read more

Do not waste your time with this resale company. I offered 2 authentic Gucci bags for resale. I sent photos of the bags and the serial numbers that were attached to the inside of each bag. They made a low ball offer. I accepted and sent the bags to them. 2 weeks later I got 2 insulting emails insinuating that both bags are conterfeit and I owe $75.00 EACH for "authentication and return" or I forfeit both bags. Both bags are genuine and authentic, not copies. I perused their website. The truth is that they already have Gucci bags like the ones they offered to buy that are not selling and they don't want more, which they should have known before they made me an offer. I accepted their offer for my Goyard Saigon PM that I barely ever wear. Shipped it to them from the Neiman Marcus in my city. They get the purse and say it was painted on and refused to buy it. Now why would a $6K purse be painted on. A scam! They shipped my purse back to me, but shipped it to an old address on file in my account. The current resident there is claiming they gave the package back to the UPS driver. The UPS driver is claiming that he wasn't giving a package back. Of course Fashionphile didn't insure the package neither did they add a value on the package when they shipped it back to Texas. UPS will not cover it because it was delivered and signed for and if they did decide to pay anything it would only be up to $100. Fashionphile isn't taking any accountability for the mishap at all. My first and only experience so far with Fashionphile was back in October 2019, I believe when they were first opening and still very new in one of the beautiful alleyways in downtown SF by Union Square. After getting rejected by Rebag for reselling a decade old Givenchy with slight wear, I was very happy to be able to make a last-minute, walk-in appointment with Tia. She was such a sweet rep and made my first sell to Fashionphile quick, easy, and painless during my lunch break from work. My coworker and I were offered bottles of water as she waited for the photos of my bag to get processed, sent, and reviewed by their specialists who work remotely. The whole process took about 20 minutes, and we were comfortably seated in the front section on a cushy sofa, chatting and waiting. To my surprise, my Givenchy sold for more than a few hundred dollars, which I believe is about half of what the original store value was. I left the shop happy with the price I sold it for and for Tia's amazingly efficient service and friendliness. 10/10 would sell any luxury goods I have here again! read more

BUYER BEWARE - do not, I REPEAT DO NOT spend your hard-earned money here. If you are looking to purchase something and are concerned you might return it, this is NOT the company for you. I have shopped at Fashionphile 3x - I much prefer Vestiaire overall and TRR's return policy and payouts are way more flexible. I've submitted quotes for items here as well and their quotes are an absolute JOKE. (A rare YSL bag I purchased secondhand for $1200 from over $2k was offered around $300, a Chanel cuff retailing somewhere from $2-3k and selling elsewhere for $1600 was offered a measly $400.) My last straw with them comes from the last 2 weeks, when I purchased a pair of shoes from them that looked to be in near new condition on the website. The bottoms looked almost completely clean save 1 or 2 small marks on the outer sides. When I received the shoes, they were beautiful, but a) did not match what I needed them for and b) had significantly more wear than depicted on the site. I would guess they had been worn at LEAST once already. I tried them on once on carpeted and light marble floors, and seeing as they didn't match what I needed them for I decided to return them. Note: this was the second time I had purchased something from them that had more wear/damage, and I thought nothing of it when I packaged them up same-day and returned them. After the holiday weekend, they sent me a blurry photo with the same shoes back in their hands, thrown on someone's desk, now looking absolutely TRASHED. They look like they've been worn an additional 1-2 times and are in an even WORSE condition from when I first received and mailed them out! They accused me of having worn these (EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE RETURNED WITH THE TAG STILL ATTACHED AND UNREMOVABLE SAVE CUTTING THEM OFF!!) and are insisting there's no possible way anyone mishandled them or there's any fault on their end. They are deducting me $300+ from an original purchase price of about $800 and offered to "buy them back" for $550. They offered me a store credit for the full amount even though I reminded them this is now the second time I've received an item from them that did not match what was on the website, nor did I feel comfortable shopping with them for now. I escalated this all the way up to their senior-most client services department head, Jessica, who again basically told me that they did "everything possible" on their end and refused to refund me. I was also promised they'd be retrieving video footage of how these shoes were handled upon receipt of my return, which has not materialized. This is a total scam, and considering other reviews have mentioned something similar, I would not put it past them to be offering this as punishment for making returns or some form of making a few extra dollars to meet quota when their already overpriced items aren't selling. I received my $550 and checked the website - and guess what, they're selling the shoes for nearly the EXACT SAME PRICE. They knocked off a whole $40, yet charged me $300+. Well, I certainly hope the extra $300 is worth the negative press they're about to receive from me! I will no longer be shopping with them or recommending them to anyone, which I've done many times in the past. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, the FTC, and local news stations. Again, they have both the shoes back in their hands AND the means to resell them in the condition they're in. Meanwhile, I have been robbed of $300+ dollars for trying them on ONCE in my own home. I do NOT recommend this company to any luxury fashion lovers or anyone looking to make a nice purchase for themselves. Prior to May of this year, I never purchased second-hand but always directly rom boutiques and stores. I decided to try Fashionphile.com after reading positive things from them. I started with small dollar value items and had a good experience, so I worked up purchasing a $1.7k 2008-vintage LV monogram bag. Fashionphile processing and shipping times have been very long recently (they're short-staffed), so I didn't get the item until almost 2 weeks later, when I was leaving for a 4-week Europe work trip. I inspected and it seemed fine, so I left for my trip. When I came back, I had an actual chance to use the bag, and I noticed the bag was asymmetric and looked strange sometimes. I tried to figure out why, and noticed a crack where the handles met the bag. This is a serious issue for the bag as LV does not fix bags that have cracks in the canvas. It makes the bag worth significantly less than what I paid for it. I reached out to Fashionphile and explained the issue, and they said there was nothing they could do for me as it was past the return date. (It was about 20-25 days past the return date, not months.) They told me that it was my responsibility to seriously inspect an item when I get it and return an item if I'm not satisfied. This seriously made me mad as that is essentially saying that the customer is responsible for quality control, not the seller. It's a "buyer beware" type of mentality. I see two major issues with that: 1) Information asymmetry. Putting the QC responsibility on the purchaser sets a bad precedent given buyers may only see a few luxury items in their lives, and a few may be neophytes, versus companies see thousands if not tens of thousands. 2) I don't work at Fashionphile, why should I do free labor for them and inspect their items? I really hate to read bad reviews. You can look at my review history - I give vast vast majority 5 star reviews as my parents own a small business and I understand how difficult it is to deal with Yelp and angry customers. However, this is just beyond the pale in my opinion. I am not a picky customer, and normally I let a lot of things slide and don't return items if they are slightly off, but this is a serious issue. I have spent time filing complaints with Better Business Bureau, Ripoff report, Planet Feedback, etc, reporting this incident to the FTC, and even writing to the California Attorney General. This business practice of customer doing the QC is unacceptable and can easily lead to fraud. I object to this in every way and believe Fashionphile should be held responsible for this business practice. read more

They are definitely a SCAM I have reached out to them several times by email, chat and by phone, I sold them a bag and drop it off myself in order to avoid the bag getting lost on the mail , so I drop it off in person at the SF location Neiman Marcus, I personally entered my ACH information for direct deposit payment, when I go to check the status of my payment it said I got paid thru paypal, I DO NOT HAVE A paypal account, I have asked them to rectify this issue repeatedly and they basically told me that since the payment was already issued there is nothing they can do, I basically gave them my Louis Vuitton bag for free, I wish I knew I just kept my bag, NEVER AGAIN Lesson learned. read more

I used to sell my items to FP and enjoyed meeting the team members at the SF location. But the most recent online purchase was bad, In the middle of checking out a bracelet, the price increased and so the extra 10% was gone. It was way within the sales period, during the day on Saturday. I called customer service but it closed during the weekends. I left a message online and got a response today. According to the Client Services Specialist named Alex, since the item was "canceled", price was increased and they won't honor the extra 10% off. How can the item be "canceled" if it was never checked out? A lot of us shoppers putting items in and out of the shopping bag before we are ready to pay. So if FP think its ok the do price change during that very short period (within 30 mins) and won't honor the discount price during that period of time, then, it's too bad. If FP doesn't need my business, I guess I will give it to someone else. It's too bad since it's not about the total discount since it was a small item, only $600. But it's about customer service and sadly, FP failed this time. read more
