First time visiting the Jacksonville area and we decided to stop by a Goodwill after doing some shopping at a local shopping center nearby. This location is a bit awkward to get into as it sits at a T intersection with a major street dead ending right into the parking lot of the location. So if you are pulling a trailer or driving a larger vehicle, you may want to park closer to the entrance of the parking lot to avoid getting stuck in the two lane parking directly in front of the store. Once you get into the store, you'll find that this isn't the largest Goodwill, with the majority of the space allocated to clothing. The furniture section in the store was somewhat limited, but did have a couple of bookshelves, entertainment centers, and couches. Same thing with sporting goods, housewares, and miscellaneous items. Not much out of the ordinary here. A lot of wake boards, beach accessories, and golfing accessories, as you would expect in North Florida. From a clothing standpoint, I didn't find much value here at all, despite the massive number of racks. I always use the men's suit section as a indication of the quality of clothing you can find, at least in the men's section. The suit section in this store was really challenged. I think out of 40 or 50 sport coats there may have been two suits with matching pants. And these were more in the Steve Harvey 4-button range. Definitely not anything a modern suit wearer would consider a value. Customer Service was good though. We did end up buying a small IKEA bookshelf and a vintage Ralph Lauren rug, which we purchased for less than $40 total. Definitely a location I would stop in if I lived in the area but not something that I would go out of my way to hit. read more

This could well was pretty clean. It was relatively organized. I don't know why they sort their clothes by color though instead of by size that is so weird. They had an interesting selection of stuff to buy. Most of it appeared to be pretty clean and in fairly decent condition. I scored a cool framed LES MIS poster. It's in a plaza with it really good or you can eat sushi place so it's worth a trip across town. Prices were pretty good, not great, not terrible. There weren't a lot of staff working, but the ones that were working were pretty friendly. read more

Shoutout to our local community heroes! I have been to this location at least 3 times and I always find what I need and then some! I have found a metal four sided chase grater (made in the USA) and I found a full- sized ironing board (made in the USA). I have also found a smaller ironing board, a portable secretary desk, coffee cups, and cute clothes. And now that it's the rainy season, I bought a brand new mini umbrella! The whole place smells like a toilet and most of the stuff looks disgusting but they will randomly reject items that aren't even on the do not donate list. Every single employee also treats you like a massive inconvenience for bringing them FREE STUFF for them to profit off of. Biggest scam business out there. read more

I've been in and out of this store a few times over the years- getting in and out of the parking lot can sometimes be crazy with the light on Southside. Be careful in this parking lot. I've probably used the drop off side more than the store- but this last visit I was just killing time and found a wooden dining room chair for $10! New chairs can cost around $100 a piece and up- so this was a steal, knowing I could refinish it. The line to check out was pretty crazy and there are always people who buy cartfuls! In this case, I was behind an extended family with TWO overflowing carts and family members still shopping and bringing back items while we inched along in the long line. The cashiers did their best to keep the line moving, I finished checking out before my family ahead of me made it through one cart and had to duck under the line cord because they were blocking the area in front of their register. You can find a little of everything here and I laughed when I saw the ancient crockpot! My grandmother had the same one- my only picture because I was carrying a chair! But I set it down for that one photo. That's probably the most fun thing- seeing things that take you back to childhood. read more

I love going out of town and visiting the Goodwill stores. They are always so similar yet so different everywhere you go. Walking in, I saw these beautiful high heel shoes that I just had to take a picture of! They had butterflies on the heel that protruded from the shoes. Lovely. I started to look around and noticed that each item was marked by a different color. I am from Charleston, SC, where this doesn't happen. I have seen this in Atlanta however so I decided to ask about it. That day was Green Day! This means that anything marked with the color green is 40% off! What a great extra deal! I ended up leaving with a nice black skirt that I can wear to work. It was marked green so it was 40% cheaper than it already was by being at Goodwill. I also left there with a pair of black shoes with a little bit of a wedge heel. These still had the tag on them from Ross so I knew they were brand new! I didn't see it but apparently they were marked white. The cashier showed me when I was checking out that the price stickers were different colors on the shoes as well. The shoes were totally still worth getting though. $5 for brand new shoes?? Heck yes! Overall, this store was clean and well organized. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you're nearby. It had a ton of great merchandise. It also had the color coded 40% off deals that you cannot find in all cities. Take advantage of that color deal! I had a terrible customer experience here. My daughter came with a close lid drink. Literally, in less than five minutes, the manager "Peggy" told her she cannot bring the drink into the store. I was in the middle of browsing at the merchandise when my daughter told me about the incident. Within minutes, the manager told me that she needs to get rid of the drink or leave the store. I told her to give me a few minutes, and she said no with a nasty attitude. Then, it becomes an escalated argument with her accusing my daughter of trying to hide the drink, told me to leave, and threatened to call the Police. Also, she got the nerve to say that I'm not allow to come back. For over a drink, she accused my daughter of breaking the rules, when in fact, my daughter did not see the tiny printout sign that has faded ink by the window until we saw it on the way out the door. She was bullying us by trying to assert herself as the manager stating that we should not expect to be treated differently than anyone else. Peggy is a classic example of poor management. First, she intimidated my daugther about the drink. She even followed her around. Then, she did not give neither one of us the appropriate time, like at least 10-15 minutes to get ourselves together and respond appropiately. When I, the customer tried to talk to her, she acted like a bully. No wonder I got irritated, and I want her to hear the reasons for my extreme disappointment. Peggy, the manager needs to go back to have updated customer service training. Also, she needs to have diversity training as well. There is definitely underlying bias in her mannerisms, and she had a superiority complex. I came in as a happy customer, and left the store with the utmost uncaring and devalued feeling. As the manager, she had the choice of descalating the situation and handling it respectfully. Instead, she chose to argue with me over a drink that my daughter innocently did not see the sign. In this recession, no business can have the ARROGANCE to lose business in such a negligent way. Not only am I a customer, but more so, I am a donor. I will hold off shopping and donating at Goodwill until this issue is addressed appropriately. I will file a formal complaint with Goodwill. Goodwill is a well established business, and just because it is a thrift store does not give its leadership a free pass for having a low -class cheap attitude. read more

This is another one of our favorite Goodwill stores in the area. We make it a point to come here at least twice a week. A LOT of good finds here. It's a little bit smaller in my opinion than other stores, but there is a gigantic selection of books. A whole wall full. A lot of furniture, in excellent shape, and so many brand named items. I found a Vera Bradley blanket, like new for only $3! My husband always finds fishing shirts and sports shirts here for super cheap. They have a good selection of everything here. Not too many toys or night gowns/sleepwear. The signs hanging from the ceilings are also wrong as well, so they must have just redone the store. But that doesn't affect anything to be honest. They have a lot more women's clothing than they do men's and children. I always find something amazing when I come here. read more

The store is centrally located and friendly staff. I have found some treasures in the midst of some of the rubbish sold here. There's some items were over priced as there are donations. I found a wonderful patio chair to add to my set that I already have at home. The chair was in mint condition and was marked $14.99. I could not carry it, so I took the tag to the Cashier. She then told me to drive around to the back door and the man put it in the back of my truck for me. I also found a nice pair of sunglasses here today. I shop at Goodwill at least once a month to do a little "treasure hunting"! It makes me happy when I score! Great job Goodwill! read more

I'm writing a review because this store was not making masks mandatory. It made me very uncomfortable to have one person not wearing a mask walking by, and talking on the phone about having to wear masks. There was one other person not wearing a mask either. I was there close to closing time and there weren't a lot of people in the store. The employees were wearing them though and there was hand sanitizer available. This goodwill is just ok. They don't have quick turnover of merchandise. When I've been there some of the stuff have been around for a long time. read more

This location is super close to the house and very convenient to drop off unwanted clothes and stuff for the benefit of others. There are ample signs to direct you around the end where the drop off point is. Friendly ladies there ready to greet you and grab your donations. They give you a receipt to use for tax purposes. I will definitely go back and drop off more things from time to time. read more

This is a new and much larger location than where this old Goodwill originally was. There's also been some new management so they're organizing the store better by having a boutique section and also labeling everything by size. For me that was a big deal. I like the color coding but it was always so frustrating trying to find a size amongst the millions of different ones. At least now you're able to look for a number instead of digging through each individual article of clothing. Every time I've gone the staff have been very helpful and very polite. I feel like it was a very good selection of both clothing and household items. I found some really good decorations after the holiday season. As with any consignment store it can be hit or miss but so far I've successfully found something each time I've gone. read more

Very clean and organized! The staff is friendly. I always find something awesome in this goodwill! I always see bikes and nice kids toys here. They have a good selection of home goods also. Some stuff is over priced for being a thrift store but I expect it because the owner of goodwill is a greedy butt head. But I keep coming back so I can't talk too much. read more
