I love thrift shopping and I absolutely love a good thrift store walking into the Goodwill. I was kind of confused. Some of the shelves seemed really like they needed to rag off their product or they needed to straighten it up. Seem to be all in different places, it seems the store to category their merchandise a little bit different. I wasn't too impressed by the store but yet their employees were really nice. They had great jewelry and some shoes too that I'd like I'd recommend them. It's ok but most times you're better off buying brand new or looking elsewhere for. For most items, I cannot justify the price being secondhand. For example they are charging $25 for a shirt that I also have and purchased from J crew for $10 on clearance. They have gotten so greedy and out of touch. read more

Nothing worth buying really, found a amplifier but after looking it up online it's only $35.99 new, "goodwill" wants 49.99 for a used model. I wonder how much the CEO's salary is... Inflation!!! Glad they take donations. Hope they start accepting more variations of donations. They could have pre sorted/labeled boxes for donations so it reduces the need to tell the donation handler what the item is and the donators can just drop the item in the respective bucket. read more

Love that this store plays more mellow music. A lot of thrift stores nowdays play "club" music or mariachi music ( cranked way too high) I don't need to feel like I am out at a nightclub when I am trying to relax and shop. Some items are fairly priced some items are way over priced for used. I can buy new items on Amazon for less and did sorry, all about supporting goodwill but dam who is pricing your stuff. Went in to get some clothing for a family in need and was completely shocked at what clothing was priced at... donated items priced higher than new on Amazon, do some research people please. read more

Over the years I have donated thousands and thousands of dollars of stuff to this goodwill. That all stopped this weekend, the goodwill is only picking the premium donations from your things. Goodwill should be ashamed of themselves, they are charging more then what you pay for the same item brand new. Second hand stores are typically used for folks who need to save some money or find things at a cheaper price. Beware...you likely can find brand new items for less at a regular retailer. read more

Every time I go here to drop things off the donation area is closed well before they're supposed to be. Apparently the employees work whatever hours they feel like. According to Google the store is open until 9pm and donation center until 7pm. I arrived at 5:30pm. Good thing I like driving around with a car packed full of stuff I don't need. read more

If you're thrifting your way across Washington on a Sunday, it can be slim pickings in the small towns where most of the thrift stores are religious and/or close super-early. But once you make it to a town big enough to have a Goodwill, you know you're in luck! The Marysville Goodwill is pretty big and has the usual departments, all decently sized, including a fairly large housewares selection. It seems pretty tidy and organized overall, although there were a few areas with stuff on the floor. Likewise, it seems pretty clean and doesn't have thrift-store smell inside. This store belongs to the Seattle Goodwill family, so anything you buy here can be returned to a Seattle store per the usual return/exchange policy. Good news if you're buying for another person or have severe road-trip fatigue and can't even deal with the fitting room right then. They also follow the same colored-tag discount schedule as the regular Seattle stores. The best part about this store, however, may be the HUGE restrooms! No skimpy single-seaters here -- there's a long row of stalls, clean and nicely maintained, and you don't have to go and pester an employee for a bathroom key. Road trippers, take note! read more

The no return policy is by far the most senseless yet. It's just silly to think that once you bring the purchased item home it can't be returned because of the virus. The item is much more likely to be contaminated in the store then it would be at home. It seems like Goodwill is trying to make up for lost revenue. This will come back to bite them. read more

I have been an avid shopper of the Goodwill for years. Within the last 3 months I have seen their prices jump over 30% on most items. I have found numerous used items priced higher than the original retailer brand new!! It use to be every once in awhile and now it's more than ever. They want $4 for a used tank top shirt from Walmart that only cost $2 brand new! I'm seeing people purchase less and less items when they check out so their getting rid of less items to make more $. It use to only be the Mt. Vernon location that was over priced and now I see it more and more and each location. The Seattle ones tend to be less than Snohomish county. Their receiving all these items for free and than over charging people who don't have the funds to purchase the items new or they would be... Yes, I'm aware that it cost to run a business. I would hope the employees are getting some type of raise. I've been shopping more and more at Value Village because at least they give you a coupon for your donations not to mention they have a club rewards program. I know for a fact I'm not the only one who thinks like this because I've heard multiple shoppers say the exact same thing while shopping. Goodwill- get with it! read more

I have visited several of the goodwill stores in our state and this was by far the cleanest and most organized store that I have been in. They have visible signs with prices posted too. Plus, they were dirt cheap. I spent 20 cents on shot glasses that cost me $1.99 at value village. I was here on a Thursday morning around 11 and there were maybe 6 other customers in the store. I went in on a Saturday and it was very crowded. the isles are little and they have a lot of stuff, almost too much to be able to see anything. A little messy and over crowded. Though they have a lot of furniture but nothing I liked. Kind of shabby stuff. Seems like they don't don't do much screening out of items. High prices. Way higher than most other goodwill stores I've been to. Selection is ok but I'm not willing to pay what they are asking. I now skip going to this store all together when I'm in Marysville and only go to the value village down the road. Im always disappointed when i leave. Smells BAD. One thing I have never understood about thrift stores: Why not launder the clothing before placing it on racks in your stores? Sure, it may cost a little extra, but certainly the extra profits would make up for it. People would likely be willing to pay more and you wouldn't scare off the THOUSANDS of potential clients (like me) who find the smell of 6 month of barf and sour milk on clothing so unappealing. read more

This Goodwill location is awesome! Well I went to the Value Village first and was disappointed with their high prices. At this Goodwill they have more reasonable prices for USED items. I found so many things at very reasonable prices! $1.99 for used cork boards. $1.99 to $2.99 for used black frames for my artwork. A Used Eddie Bauer leather tote for $14. A nice pair of Oscar de La Renta black pumps for $6.99. Their restroom is amazing! Value Village has ONE STALL and they require that you "ask" permission for the key thus "ask" permission to use the restroom. Do we look like we are four years old? NO!!! At this Goodwill location there is a Women's restroom and a Men's restroom with EASY access especially for women with children! There were at least five stalls in the women's restroom so know that if you must go you do not have to "ask" ANYONE!!! Their changing rooms are large. I think there were four of them. Cashiers are nice and friendly. Overall this store has high marks from me. They make it worth my while to want to shop here. I will definitely be returning!!! :) read more

Another decent Goodwill store. Last time I went here they had an awesome collection of cartoon-themed pillow cases. The dishware selection is usually decent as well. This location has a tendency to mark things as collectibles that I wouldn't necessarily pick for the collectibles counter. This is indicated by the table they usually have of collectible items that have been out longer than 30-60 days and no one has purchased. Organized and clean, I just wish they had more shoes. read more

The other day I took to the Marysville Goodwill store 3 (three) computers and a color laser printer that I did not use anymore from my business. The employee simply dumped the 4 items outside, under the rain. The paper tray of the printer even broke. When I questioned him, he simply said, "we do not sell computers and peripherals, we recycle them." I was very surprised, since I remembered I had seen computers and peripherals on the store shelves. Later on I checked on the Marysville store website, and they actually receive those types of items and resell them. What a waste of equipment that otherwise could be reused. Of course computers and printers cannot possibly survive the rain. Very sad. How an employee like that can aspire to have a better job than that if he is so incredibly careless? I will never take items to the Marysville Goodwill store again. read more

I 3rd in motion with Joe and D.J.Y.! We were in shock when we entered this store! The place is very well kept and did not smell the stale or the funk that normally lingers at the other Goodwill stores. Not too many old people there today. The place seemed organized and very well layed out. We found some great bargains and lots of tempting items. My bf said the restroom was huge and CLEAN! He was very impressed with the sparkly tiles on the floor and walls. Three urinals, three stalls and two sinks. I did not need to go to the ladies room, so...there is something to look forward to when I go there next. Who knew you can buy an item for your dream wedding? A MUST GO! read more

Haven't been in this store for years. The employees were really nice. My only complaint was that the aisles were too small. The store was busy and I couldn't get up and down the aisles as the racks of clothes were too close together. I noticed lots of people struggling to look at the clothes because of this. I was very disappointed with this goodwill. I have been to many different goodwills in the US and this was by far the worst I've ever been to. I wanted to try some clothes on so I went to the dressings rooms and they were all locked. There were no employees around to help. I found one employee wandering the store so I asked if they could unlock the door and he told me to ask the cashier. He then walked into the back of the store. I waited in line and finally someone locked the door. There was one cashier and my boyfriend told me that there were several employees just sitting in the back doing nothing. It was a very frustrating experience and I'm still pissed off!!! read more
