Rude. I dropped off 4 boxes to donate. Clerk handed me what I thought was a receipt. Left.

Interesting finds! Prices were just right. Gabriela was pleasant, kind and engaging. Clean store. Easy to walk through without obstructions.

Worst Goodwill experience ever. Older woman with terrible attitude and rude comments. If you hate people so much, you shouldn't work there.

Almost every experience I've had at this GW has been great, most of the workers there are very friendly.

I stumbled upon a post they did which was in solidarity with a group of people and seeing that our values were aligned I knew this was a local small business that I needed to be supporting from here on out. I came midweek to shop and look around, and I had a great experience. It's a smaller bookstore, but they did have a lot to choose from! I was especially happy to see that they keep up with new and trending authors/books that come out. But of course, they also had a broad selection of every type of book you could think of. Being a smaller independent bookstore they don't have mass quantity though so if you find a book you like you should grab it because they only have a copy or two of each. I found that the pricing was comparable to anywhere else but again when you shop here you're supporting local small businesses so even if it was a little pricier, it would be worth it to me. They had a cute child's/kids section in the back so it would definitely be a great place to bring your little one to look around or read a story. The vibes are welcoming, but I also appreciate when staff leave you to look around without standing over your shoulder. The gal working behind the register was super nice and checked me out with quickness, that I was in and out without issue. Nice people work here, they have a decent selection and overall it was a cute little shop that I will be back to support again soon.

It's clean, thoughtfully put together, and has a beautiful selection of books, crystals, oils, candles, incense, and jewelry. Definitely a great place to browse and take your time. The only thing that threw me off a bit was that the person at the front (near the spiral staircase entrance) was having a full dinner at the register when I walked in. I completely understand needing to eat, but it made the space feel a little less open for interaction. I noticed people, including myself, kind of just looked around quietly and moved on without asking questions or making purchases. I actually had a few things I was considering buying, but I didn't feel comfortable interrupting, so I ended up leaving without them. It might help to have someone cover the front or step away briefly during breaks so the space still feels welcoming and easy to engage with. Overall, it's a beautiful shop, just a small tweak in that area could really enhance the experience.

I am so upset!! I was counting on getting my friend crystals from there. I even said out loud as we walked out that we'd be back after dinner to buy a bunch of items. Don't expect them to be open when they say they'll be open. Bad business practice!!

Walking into The Last Bookstore feels less like entering a shop and more like stepping into a…read moredifferent world. Housed inside a former bank, the space already carries this grand, historic energy that sets the tone before you even start browsing. What makes this place unforgettable is how it's designed to be explored, not rushed. There are cozy spots scattered throughout where you can sit and get lost in a book, but the real magic is upstairs. It opens into a maze of rooms, each with its own personality, filled with carefully arranged books that feel more like art than inventory. At times, it genuinely feels like you've wandered into a dream. One of the highlights is the famous tunnel of books, which adds to that surreal, almost cinematic experience. Everywhere you turn, books are used as decor in the most creative ways, and it creates this quiet moment where everything else fades out. Upstairs also holds one of my favorite parts, a row of art studios featuring work from local artists. Every piece feels intentional, unique, and thoughtfully placed. Right nearby, there's a small coffee shop surrounded by beautiful artwork, making it an easy place to pause and take it all in. This isn't a quick stop kind of place. Plan to spend a few hours here, wandering, discovering, and just enjoying the atmosphere. It's one of the most iconic bookstores I've ever been to, and it absolutely lives up to the reputation.

from my experience, the last bookstore is one of those places that, if you've seen it on instagram,…read moreyou already know the one. it's definitely more of a destination than a practical bookstore you'd go to shop at. my instagram feed has seen a few cameos from friends and strangers who've visited, and after seeing it pop up a few times, a friend and i decided to stop by a little while back. that said, i wouldn't really recommend it if you're going in search of a specific book. it's less "grab a book and go" and more "wander and hope something finds you." everything feels pretty scattered, so if you are looking for something in particular, be ready to spend a good amount of time browsing. it does get unbelievably hot inside, especially when the weekend crowds pick up for photos in the iconic book tunnels, shelves, and art installations upstairs. it's definitely a unique shop, but it really leans more "experience" than "practical bookstore." it feels a bit like a bookstore where the real plot is the decor, and the books are almost supporting characters in their own store. i did find it funny how they call out shoplifters with signs outside the entrance though. i've been once, took my photos (bc duh), checked it off the list, and happily moved on.
