Lots of collectibles and fine China here. Toys, books and knickknacks are plentiful. There are two dressing rooms, but no public bathroom. Notable facts: Open seven days a week 10 to 6 except for Sunday 10-5. No refunds/ exchanges, everything sold as is. He runs a small store full of usual thrift items but adds his own friendly, "whatever you say" attitude in his dealings which makes it a pleasant overall experience every time. Place is [unfortunately] pretty unkempt & often isn't even open when it says it should be (depends on when he gets there to open shop). Cleanliness is lower end. Prices are reasonable. All in all I don't mind popping in here once in a while to see if there are any cool finds.

I was really grateful as the store and parking lot was so busy. He smiled at me, greeted me and asked me if I was finding everything okay. I found a large mirror I was interested in and I felt comfortable to come to him and ask questions. I had to adjust my car to make sure mirror would fit. He held the item at cash register for me as it was the last one, I came back and shopped a bit more and he happened to be my cashier. He also told me I could drive up and he put the mirror in my car for me. What a huge asset to Kirkland's team. I didn't see any other employee on the floor until I was rung up. The ladies were behind register just ignoring MANY customers in the store. Just an observation from a Store Manager.

I love this swap meet. It's like being transported into another place and time…read more Unless you park on Kelly Road, you do have to pay for parking in their lot. It's a gravel lot with a bunch of potholes, so be prepared. Make sure you use the bathroom before you get there, because the ones they have are SCARY. (Use the one at Wally World aka WalMart). You will pay for parking, but admission is free. So if you need a bargain, fill your car with people and split the parking between everyone (ha, ha). Unlike the Solano Swap Meet in Concord, this one has alot of retailers with new and gently used items, as well as your typical Flea Market items. What can you buy? Better question, what can't you buy. In addition to: -clothing -car parts -tires -cell phone accessories -cd's and dvd's -car sound systems -rugs -furniture -jewelry -jewelry repair -silk plants, flowers and arrangements -plaster statues -handbags You can also get some great "roach coach" food (taco's, burritos, torta's, chinese food), horchata, churro's, garlic fried, chicken, etc. They also sell fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, eggs, nuts, etc. Make sure you bring cash, most vendors don't accept credit cards or checks. Unless you are buying furniture, you will be expected to carry off your own purchase, so if you need to, drive the truck and bring a friend. The furniture vendors will deliver, for a fee. And with the exception of the new clothes, you can expect to haggle and negotiate a deal. Now how fun is that. You don't have to wait for a manager. You don't have to hold up the line. It's all part of the fun.

And the Chico's lineup goes all the way from relatively conservative to far out. There are...err... garments with extremely bold prints. At least, for now, the colors seem very bright, with a lot of spring like shades. Examples include absolute white, sunshine yellow, sky blue. But not everyone looks good with such a bright palette. me, for example. I do best with more muted neutral shades like a dusty shade of blue, certain shades of light tan or brown, ecru . These shades were a few and far between. So with these restrictions and the limited stock it made it difficult to find both the color and the style that worked for me. The store was neatly organized, the staff people were extremely friendly and attentive. If the inventory had included a little bit more that was suitable for me, this would turn into one of my go to stores. I'll have to try again sometime in the autumn or winter when the warm weather palette might change to more winter colors.

They had a nice selection in some basic colors. I am so glad that I came back. One of the factors that encouraged us to not return as often is the closure of a couple of other little stores that we used to visit and with them gone, the whole bang for buck equation toppled. The value was very good. I picked out my uniform of a particular style of pants and shirts that are interchangeable. I do wish that they would have had cardigans to match. There were some, but thy didn't match and I didn't like the style. There was a flutter seater that I liked, but it only came in white, and white shorts are a no no for me because I drink coffee and sometimes spill. i wish that they had other colors. I got three from another store and love them. I wanted to add them to my collection. I love Chicos and love the value of the clothing here. It's basic and simple and fits well. Also when I go down, or up, in size, I know that I can return and find something. I now look forward to the return visits.

But not one employee on the floor acknowledge you or even asked if we needed assistance. And again my experience ended with the friendly, efficient cashier. Which earned the stars I gave.
