if I could give this location no stars I would. The girl who came for back up at the register has the worst attitude I have seen in a long time. When I got to her lane I handed her the hangers not only did she have an attitude but told me don't throw stuff on the on counter for her to scan? Guess she wanted to get it for free? I was only setting stuff down. As a customer service manager myself, I would NEVER let one of my team members talk to a customer the way she did. Her name is Sam. She did not even ask for a phone number to put in for points. When my mother asked about putting her number, Sam responded you didn't tell me that! When that is a part of her job. She has time to gossip with other coworkers and stop our transaction to call a manager for another customer while the other cashier had no customers. My mother and I are avid good will shoppers. We Will NOT be returning to this location. Sam costed goodwill a sale worth over $50. It's sad when you can't even work at goodwill and need more training. Bottom line Sam needs better training before she costs goodwill more customers

Notice how goodwill proves are lower than store sale prices

Standard Goodwill fare with very good prices. The staff was very helpful and the selection varied. Plus, there were lots of clothes for kids. I think one improvement would have been to have had a section for winter wear given the temperature and weather currently.

I am no sociologist, but I think one of the best ways to get the pulse of a new community when you just move in is to pay a visit to the local thrift stores. I have another theory about the contents of people's kitchen "junk drawer" but I will deal with that on my blog. I noticed this place the other day when I was stopping by Mariano's so I decided today would be the day to check it out. It's is actually fairly small compared to other thrift stores in large metros I have visited, but it was relatively well organized. I get the impression the employees here are just that, actual employees. I have visited other thrift stores in the past where the people working were ex-cons or others doing community service from a tangle with the law. Having people ring me up that are not zonked out of their head from sniffing glue on their lunch break is always beneficial to a positive shopping experience. Like any thrift store, there is often gold to be found, you just have to wade through copious amounts of trash in order to find it. The furniture they had on showcase, for example, looked like it had just been plucked out of a refugee camp in some war torn part of Africa. The junkyard would of been a better place for a good 80% of it. Luckily, patience and persistence paid off as I did manage to find a few great items. The first was a really nice Kenneth Cole messenger bag (see photo). It was buried under lots of circa 1985 pieces of luggage, but it was a nice score. I have actually been needing one recently too. I am getting a little old to be hauling around a Call of Duty messenger bag to the office. The other two items were both slacks, and both from Hugo Boss and still had the tags on them! (Sorry, no pic, I am not modeling them for you). They were also buried in the stacks amidst items that looked like they were from the wardrobe department of a 1970's porn movie. If you have the patience, you can find some great items here, or maybe I just got lucky on my particular visit. The grand total for my little voyage? 17 bucks. I would call that a successful thrift store outing.

Terrible. Messy shelves all over, falling apart merchandise, and just the worst Goodwill I've ever been to. Will never go again.

Very polite people help you take your donations out of the car in a covered car park area.

First off, Plato's Closet is a store where you can sell your gently used clothing items. It's a very easy process - you go in there, drop off your bag of clothes, sign in on a tablet-like machine (make sure you have your ID), a ticket gets printed out, and you come back when they're done sorting your items with your ticket. You can mark on the little machine when you sign in to be texted when they're done (I always do). In my experience, it could be as fast as 5 minutes or as long as 2 hours. They'll tell you an estimate of how long it'll be! They take items that are gently used and still in style. There have been (very minimal) times where they have taken nothing from the clothes I brought, and there were 2 times where they have taken everything. On average they definitely take at least a few items depending how used and in-style your clothes are. Something that should definitely be known is that they will not offer a lot of money for your clothes. Don't come here and expect to make big bucks - the most I've ever made was around $60 and it was a big bag of clothes that were fairly new, some never worn. Sometimes I don't understand how the process works because I'd bring in some new, nice items that didn't get taken but I see in the store there's items in worse condition, so I never really understand how they make their decision and price the items. Overall, this is an easy and quick way to get rid of some of your clothes that you just don't like or wear anymore and make some money from it!

New store and very clean. Salvation Army has always been my go to organization for donations…read more This store was confusing to me. There can be a row of clothing like long sleeve shirts on a rack labeled S, M, L etc. Walk a few feet down the rack and the same type of clothing is again in a section labeled S, M, L etc. At least 3 times on the same rack in different places. Why? Many of the clothes are brand new with the price tags on. Looks like a great way to start off a new location. I bought a pair of pants, brand new labeled $39 for $9. The down size is that there are no fitting rooms and no returns so if it doesn't fit you own it. A comment complaint from other shoppers is that many things are overpriced. An example would be the cute little scarecrow with dangling legs that you would place on a mantle or shelf for $3 that I bought at the Dollar store for $1.25. Used shirts for $10 when you can buy new at other retailers. Still fun to have around if you like to thrift but I wish they would change their clothing racks to make more sense.
